Rio Ferdinand reveals three reasons why he thinks Jude Bellingham will make sensational Man City transfer

JUDE BELLINGHAM will seal a transfer to Manchester City over any of their rivals, according to Rio Ferdinand. The former Manchester United and England defender revealed he believed Bellingham would make the switch to the blue half of Manchester in the summer.

Ferdinand outlined three key reasons for why he believed this transfer would happenCredit: Getty
His criteria for this consisted of three key reasons – those being Pep Guardiola’s new deal, the appeal of being the player to win the Champions League for them and his mates already at the club.
Speaking on FIVE, he said: “Pep Guardiola’s signed a new deal, if they don’t win the Champions League this year, he goes there with a mindset, ‘I am going to be the man that brings you the Champions League.’
    “That’s how I think he’s moving, that’s how I think he rolls.
“I think he will (go to City), I think he’ll say he’s got a couple of mates there, England boys, ‘I can go to (Real) Madrid in five years’.

“I think he thinks, ‘listen man, I’m a superstar, I want to go win the league and the Premier League because I’m an English-born boy and then I’ll go Madrid and do the same there in a couple of years’.
“The mad thing is he’s got the chance, the great thing is he has the absolute choice and pick of what he does. There will be clubs queuing up.”
Bellingham is busy being wooed by a number of interested parties while in Qatar – with Liverpool reportedly taking the lead in the race to sign the 19-year-old.
The former Birmingham City star has struck up a friendship with Jordan Henderson and was pictured on a stroll alongside Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold while in Qatar.

A fan confronted Bellingham while he was alongside Henderson and Alexander-Arnold and told him to sign for Real Madrid instead to help him win the Ballon d’Or.
Gary Neville also picked up on the way they were cosying up to the Borussia Dortmund star.
He said: “The whole thing unnerves me!
“When I was in the camp sort of 15 years ago, I used to sort of get close to (Wayne) Rooney, close to Rio Ferdinand. All those players you thought you could just grab.
“Now you see Phil Foden next to Jude Bellingham, you see Trent Alexander-Arnold going for a walk with him, you see Jordan Henderson cuddling up to him at the end of the game.
“And you think ‘you sneaky little sods, I know what you’re trying to do you lot’.”
But first of all Bellingham has his sights set on helping England beat France to get into the semi-finals of the World Cup. More

His plans for after that are unknown, but Guardiola has hinted that he would be open to returning as Barca manager if “I thought I was essential”.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the four-time Premier League-winning manager said: “It’s a bad way to see it that I have to go back, because Pep left and Barca kept winning.
    “You shouldn’t think like that.
“If I thought I was essential, I would return, but that’s not the case.

“There are stages, there are processes, and if one day I have to meet again, we will meet again naturally.”
City are on the hunt for a fifth Prem title under the legendary boss, but trail league leaders Arsenal by five points.
However, they are yet to win the Champions League – a competition Guardiola last won as Barca manager back in 2011.
Guardiola believes his stay until 2025 is vital to City’s next chapter.

Man Utd have ‘hardly any chance’ to sign Jude Bellingham leaving Liverpool & Man City in straight fight for England ace

MANCHESTER UNITED reportedly have “hardly any chance” of signing Jude Bellingham. And now it is rivals Liverpool, Man City and Real Madrid leading the chase for the teenage sensation.

The England World Cup star is arguably the hottest commodity in Europe after his displays for club and country.
Bellingham has been enjoying a stunning season at Dortmund with seven goals and two assists in 20 appearances.
And he followed that up by bagging his first goal for the Three Lions in a stunning display in the 6-2 victory over Iran on Monday.
The 19-year-old is subject to a five-way bidding war between the continent’s elite clubs.

However, now it seems that United and Premier League rivals Chelsea are out of the running.
And it is now a “triple fight” for Bellingham’s signature between Liverpool, Man City and Real Madrid.
That is according to Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg.
He tweeted an update on the situation that said: “X News #Bellingham: Been told that #MUFC hardly has a chance anymore. Triple fight: Liverpool, City, Real!”

He added: “#LFC & Klopp pushing! But not at any price due to FFP. Price: Up to €150m! JB is LFCs top target for central midfield – next to 2 players from South America.”
Bellingham’s goal against Iran further strengthened his growing reputation on the world stage.
But the ex-Birmingham City ace and his England teammates failed to shine again on Friday in the drab goalless World Cup draw with USA.
Even the WAGs were yawning during the game as the toothless Three Lions failed to mount any serious threat to the Americans.
That result left England still top of the group on four points, a point ahead of second-placed Iran.
The USA, who take on Iran on Tuesday, are third on two points after consecutive draws.

And Wales, who England face in their final Group B match, are bottom on one point.
That means the Three Lions will qualify for the knockouts if they avoid a defeat by four goals to the Welsh. More

City have also made a Champions League final under Guardiola, but they lost the 2021 all-English affair 1-0 to Chelsea.
And they’ll have until 2025 to win their first European crown under the iconic manager, as, according to The Athletic, City have reached an agreement with Guardiola to extend his stay for another two years.
The deal will be structured as an initial one-year deal, with both the club and manager holding an option for a further season.
That means either side can choose to part sooner if they wanted.

The structure is the same as the contract he signed in November 2020.
His existing contract at the Etihad was set to expire at the end of this season.
Guardiola is making back-to-back visits to Abu Dhabi, where owner Sheikh Mansour and chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak are based.

Guardiola, 51, said earlier this month that he considered it unlikely he will find a better club to manage than Manchester City.
He said: “(Would I) stay in another place for seven years? No, I don’t think so. It is difficult to find what I have here as a manager.
“To be a manager for a long time you need to be so supported. The results help a lot, that is undeniable. In this world they sack you, they fire you, we know that.
“But, at big clubs, part of the success of the manager is the chairman, the sporting director especially, the CEOs and all the people here.
“It goes to the media, fans and players. There is stability. This is why I think only in few clubs this can happen.”
City are currently trailing Arsenal by five points in the Prem after 14 games played.
Arsenal have lost just one game this season with the defeat coming against Manchester United. More
