Man Utd to confirm transfers for Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez with Barcelona & Real Madrid starlets isolating in UK

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to confirm the signings of defenders Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez.
The Spanish teens will go into the United youth set-up once final clearance is sealed.

Jurado, 16, is joining from Barcelona while Fernandez, 17, arrives from Real Madrid.
The pair are understood to be isolating with a local family after moving from Spain as the country is currently on the UK’s two-week quarantine list under Covid-19 guidelines.
The young duo were snapped in Adidas United training gear on Jurado’s Instagram and the outgoing Barca kid has already changed his Instagram bio to say “Manchester United player”.
The right-back is thought to have rejected a three-year deal to remain at the Nou Camp and arrives alongside fellow defender Fernandez.

They will join former Sunderland teenagers Joe Hugill and Logan Pye who made the move to Old Trafford in July.
Czech goalkeeper Radek Vitek also joined the United youth set-up from Sigma Olomouc.
United are also signing Tromso forward Isak Hansen-Aaroen, who turned 16 last weekend.
The Norwegian wonderkid last month became the youngest ever Tromso player, making his debut at the age of 15 years 319 days — United are now awaiting paperwork to complete the deal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also given a trial to ex-Yeovil Town forward Devon Arnold.
The 18-year-old bagged a winning goal on debut for United’s Under-23s in a 1-0 win over Stoke on Tuesday.
If he continues to impress, the Red Devils will be able to snap him up permanently without a transfer fee as he is a free agent.

Incoming Man Utd transfers Jurado and Fernandez post selfie in isolation with local family before deals are completed

MANCHESTER UNITED newboys Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez posed for a selfie from quarantine ahead of their moves to Old Trafford.
Both youngsters are reportedly isolating with a local family having arrived from Spain.

Jurado was spotted jetting in from Barcelona on Wednesday and must enter quarantine for 14 days to adhere to UK Government coronavirus rules.
According to PA, the pair are holed up with a local family ahead of the club’s announcement.
On Thursday, both youngsters posed for a selfie in their new team’s training kit for Jurado’s Instagram story.
Norwegian teenager Isak Hansen-Aaroen is also said to be not far behind in his transfer to United.

The Red Devils are paying £1.5million for Jurado, 16, after he rejected a new contract at Barcelona.
The right-back is just the latest of a long string of La Masia prospects to leave the crisis club in recent years, despite his former side’s wishes.
With a season in Barcelona’s Juvenil A team under his belt, the Spaniard was set for a run in their reserve side despite his lack of years.
Instead, he will begin life in Manchester with Fernandez, who joins from Real Madrid.

Having left Los Blancos, the left-back is to pen a four-year deal at Old Trafford.
Born in Majorca, 17-year-old Fernandez made his first steps with Deportivo La Coruna before Real signed him up in 2017, where he idolised Brazilian star Marcelo.
Expected to join the Spanish duo is 16-year-old forward Hansen-Aaroen.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may not thank the early comparisons between the striker and Erling Haaland but the former Liverpool trialist has already made his senior debut for Tromso.

As the Norwegian club’s youngest-ever player, at 15 years and 319 days, they bid him farewell on Instagram last week.
A heartfelt statement read: “A wonderful person. A unique football talent who just loves to play football now.
“He came from Floya to Tromso and joined the academy as a 10-year-old, studying at the Tromso school and made his debut in the first team as a 15-year-old. He had an assist in his last match for Tromso.
“Thank you so much for the last 10 years and good luck in Manchester United and on in your career.”

Jadon Sancho remains Man Utd ‘top transfer target’ despite Lionel Messi being on the market this summer

JADON SANCHO is still Manchester United’s top transfer target this summer, despite Lionel Messi being on the market.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Co have been relentlessly pursuing Borussia Dortmund ace Sancho, 20, since July.

Lionel Messi stunned the world by announcing he wants to quit BarcelonaCredit: AFP
And they are still hopeful of completing a deal despite missing the August 10 deadline set by the German giants.
Many believed United would give up on Sancho – especially after Messi shocked the footballing world by revealing he wanted to quit Barcelona.
But the Red Devils are still as determined as ever to complete a deal for £108million-rated Sancho.
Rivals Manchester City are the clear favourites to sign Messi, with the Argentine ace reuniting with Pep Guardiola.

Messi is even said to have contacted his former boss, begging him to save him from his Barcelona hell after a horror few months at the Nou Camp.
Reports claim Man Utd are in a position where they can afford Messi, despite his £1m-a-week wages.
But at the age of 33, arguably the greatest footballer of all time does not fit Solskjaer’s long-term plan.
And the Norwegian will stand firm in his pursuit of Sancho – whose pre-season at Dortmund is well underway.

United stumbled in their early hunt for the England winger as they were unwilling to pay the £108m in one lump sum.
Instead, Man Utd attempted to convince Dortmund to part with Sancho for around £60m to £70m up front, with the rest paid in instalments.
Despite being laughed-off by the Bundesliga side, United are said to be “comfortable” with their position.

Being the only club in world football able to afford Sancho – due to the financial effects of the coronavirus lockdown – means they don’t risk being gazumped by another club.
And reports claim they believe Dortmund will reconsider their original offer before the transfer window shuts on October 5.
Sancho himself is said to be “happy” in Germany and is expected to spend at least one more season at the club.

Man Utd, Chelsea and Leeds suffer transfer blow with Ben White set to stay at Brighton after £25m bid is rejected

BRIGHTON look set to win their fight to keep defender Ben White at the club.
The defender has been the subject of some major interest by Premier League clubs after an impressive season on loan at Leeds in the Championship.

But Brighton have been desperate to keep the player and other teams – including Liverpool – have been put off by the high transfer fee.
Leeds have been desperate for White, 22, to return next season but their top offer of £25million was turned down.
As SunSport revealed, Brighton were keen not to sell White to the Yorkshire side as they feel Marcelo Bielsa’s team will be a rival in the Premier League in terms of being in a similar league position.

Brighton would have been prepared to sell White for between £25m and £30m as that would have been an offer they could not refuse.

But Liverpool, along with Chelsea and Manchester United who also expressed an interest, have not been keen to meet those demands.
Graham Potter has talked up White’s prospects on the South Coast.
In July, he stated: “He’s our player, he’s got a long contract with us.
“I have known Ben for a while, I have been aware of him, wanted to try and sign him when we were at Swansea.

“I know about his qualities. He’s a fantastic player.
“He’s done brilliantly at Leeds and helped them get promotion – that’s fantastic for them, fantastic for him – but he’s our player and we’re looking forward to working with him.”
Meawhile, Chelsea are on the verge of securing former Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva on a free transfer.
But Manchester United are yet to decide on Chris Smalling’s future after his impressive loan spell at Roma.

Five clubs Lionel Messi could join including Man Utd, City and Chelsea after handing in Barcelona transfer request

LIONEL MESSI is on the verge of quitting Barcelona after requesting to leave his boyhood club.
The 33-year-old Nou Camp legend demanded Barca exercise a clause in his contract that would allow him to quit for nothing with immediate effect.

But the Spanish giants believe the stipulation expired expired on June 10, with the Argentine superstar under contract until the summer of 2021.
Club and player seem set for a legal battle over the clause, with Barcelona believing his €700m (£629m) buy-out clause is still valid.
And with wages totalling £1.15m per week – it leaves very few teams capable of facilitating a move for Messi – here SunSport list five possible options.
    MANCHESTER CITY
Since Pep Guardiola – who managed Messi for four seasons – took over at the Etihad in 2016, he has spent £700m on transfers.

It indicates they have the backing to pull off a mega-money transfer for Messi, despite escaping a Financial Fair Play penalty this year.
Acccording to Radio Catalunya, Messi has already spoken to Guardiola about a move to Manchester.
And having grown frustrated throughout last season, reuniting with a familiar face could convince the forward to choose City.

    PSG
The French champions, like City, seem to have no limits when it comes to the transfer market.
Having already broke the record when they signed Neymar for £198m from Barca three years ago, PSG are not afraid to role the dice and break the bank.
It has been claimed Messi is open to linking up with strike partner Neymar again, with the Ligue 1 kings desperate to win the Champions League.
But Messi’s £64m-a-year basic wages could prove to be a problem even for PSG, who pay £33m to Neymar and £19m to Kylian Mbappe every season.

    4

It has been claimed Messi is open to linking up with strike partner Neymar again
    MANCHESTER UNITED
United have reportedly not wasted any time in making contact with Messi’s representatives regarding a transfer.
That is despite the fact they have so far failed to stump up the cash for Jadon Sancho – who Borussia Dortmund value at £108m.
Messi is also said to prefer a move to Manchester rivals City or PSG over United.
But SPORT, say Old Trafford bosses are confident they have the funds to pursue the sensation move.

    4

    CHELSEA
The Blues looked disinterested in tempting Messi to London – until Rio Ferdinand tweeted news that Frank Lampard was in for the Argentine.
Chelsea last season completed deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner and have carried over the spending to this season.
They are close to wrapping up transfers for Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell – while also testing the market for a keeper.
Making a swoop for Messi at this time seems unlikely, even if they do raise funds from money made by flogging unwanted flops.

Man Utd ‘in contact with Lionel Messi camp over transfer’ as Barcelona see them as one of two clubs who could sign him

MANCHESTER UNITED have made contact with Lionel Messi over a transfer, Spanish reports claim.
It comes after Messi stunned the Nou Camp hierarchy by handing in a transfer request to leave the club.

    1

Man Utd have reportedly made contact with Lionel Messi over a transfer

According to SPORT, United and PSG have made a move for the unsettled 33-year-old.
It is claimed Old Trafford chiefs have been in touch with Messi’s representatives, and believe they have the financial capability to pull off the sensational transfer.
That is despite so far failing to agree terms with Borussia Dortmund over Jadon Sancho, who they value at £108million.
Despite the report, is is understood Messi would favour a reunion with former team-mate Neymar at PSG – who won Ligue 1 last season but lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

The French champions are desperate to finally become European kings and believe signing the Argentine would set them on their way to doing so.
Elsewhere City boss Pep Guardiola – who managed Messi for four seasons in Spain – is said to have contacted him about a move to Manchester.
They, along with Inter Milan, are understood to have been monitoring his situation as he grew ever frustrated with the Spanish giants last season.

Inter have the backing of Chinese chairman Steven Zhang, son of billionaire Zhang Jindong.

Messi put in place plans to leave after sending a fax to Barca on Tuesday.
The Nou Camp icon demanded he exercise a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for free with immediate effect.
But the ex-LaLiga kings believe the clause has in fact expired, with the superstar under contract until the summer of 2021.
Club and player seem set for a legal battle, with Barcelona believing the stipulation expired on June 10 and that a €700m (£629m) buy-out clause is still valid.
That would leave very limited buyers financially capable of facilitating a transfer for Messi.
Messi and his team will argue an extension on his clause should be granted as the coronavirus pandemic delayed and extended the season into July and August.
The Barca board will meet immediately with president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s resignation believed to be the only thing that could see Messi have a change of heart.
Even if he is able to depart for nothing, his basic wages per week totals at £1.15m, creating a tremendous stumbling bloke for any potential suitor.

Man Utd defender Chris Smalling to have Roma ‘throw everything’ at securing permanent transfer amid Newcastle interest

ROMA are ready to come back in with an offer of £14.5million for Chris Smalling, according to reports.
With the centre-back described as keen to extend his stay in the Italian capital, coach Paulo Fonseca and new Lupi owner Dan Friedkin want to match his ambition.

And Roma will therefore “throw everything” they have at a permanent deal for Smalling, according to Italian newspaper Il Tempo via Sport Witness.
SunSport understand that a £20m price tag has been set by United.
With the gap in valuations, Roma are said to be heavily relying on the player’s desire to push through a deal.
A new agent has also been employed to negotiate with the Old Trafford giants.

Smalling excelled in Serie A last season, fondly dubbed ‘Smaldini’ by fans as he reignited his career in 37 appearances.
Should Roma not become a feasible option for next season, a spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad is not out of the question.
The Norwegian said earlier in the summer: “It was best for him to go and play for a year in Roma and he has shown he will be valuable, I’ve been speaking to Chris throughout. I’ve been delighted with his season.”
Inter Milan could also offer Smalling a route back to Italy having already plucked Alexis Sanchez, Ashley Young and Romelu Lukaku from United.

A handful of Premier League clubs are reportedly best placed to afford Smalling with Newcastle thought to be leading the way.
After snapping up free agent midfielder Jeff Hendrick, the Toon are monitoring the centre-back’s situation with Everton, Fulham and West Ham for company.

Man Utd keeper Joel Pereira set to be sent on loan transfer to Huddersfield after Dean Henderson’s return

MANCHESTER UNITED are ready to send Portuguese keeper Joel Pereira to Huddersfield Town on loan.
Pereira had a season in Scotland with Hearts and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants him to go out again for games.

The Terriers are keen to tie up a deal quickly as they are looking for two new shot stoppers for their squad.
Meanwhile, at Old Trafford, it looks like Dean Henderson will challenge David De Gea for United’s No 1 spot.
Henderson, 23, spent last season on loan with Sheffield United.
Now he is on the verge of signing a new four-year deal worth £100,000 a week, as revealed by SunSport.

The England goalkeeper signed a new £60k-a-week deal just last year.
But it is a clear sign that Solskjaer wants Hendo to battle with the Spaniard to be first choice between the sticks.
It also means United would be splashing out £575k a week just on their goalkeepers, with Spaniard De Gea earning £350k, Sergio Romero (£70k) and Lee Grant (£30k).
Henderson had another standout campaign on loan with the Blades.

    2

And the Manchester United academy product’s representatives have been in talks with Old Trafford chiefs over the last few weeks.
His new deal will also come with the option of a further 12 months, which can be activated at any time.
SunSport understands there had been interest in Henderson from Chelsea, but no official approach has been made.
