Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas has been linked with a move to Manchester United once more.
Navas came close to joining United a while back but a move from Real Madrid, with David de Gea going the other way, broke down due to an administrative error.
The Costa Rica international said: “This was one of the worst days of my life. I didn’t cry that day, but I did after all was said and done when I was with my wife.
“I was waiting in the airport even without suitcases. I was not on the plane, but I was near.
“In the end, after everything that happened, many complicated moments, we’re human and eventually the time comes when you burst”

“From a football perspective my aim at the national team level, and in general, is to go to the World Cup in Qatar and from there to step aside and dedicate myself to my family, my people, my things.

    MAGUIRE UPDATE
Manchester United star defender Harry Maguire has stepped up his training for England but is still likely to miss Friday’s clash with Scotland.
Maguire is still recovering from an ankle ligament injury he has been dealing with for a while, but was put through his paces by Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.
The centre-back’s ongoing injury prevented him from playing in the Europa League Final against Villarreal.
The 28-year-old ace also had to sit out of England’s Euro 2020 kick-off match against Croatia

Nevertheless, the defender could look to force a move away from the Amex Stadium
    THAT’S E-NAV
Paris Saint-Germain star Keylor Navas is reportedly being monitored by Manchester United after his future was thrown into doubt.

    FOR PETE’S SAKE
Legendary Manchester United star Peter Schmeichel revealed that UEFA threatened Denmark with a 3-0 defeat if they failed to complete their match against Finland after Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest.
Schmeichel told GMB: “They said the players insisted on playing. I know that not to be the truth. Or that’s how you see the truth.
“They were left with three options. One was to play immediately and get the last 50 minutes played. The next one was to come in yesterday at 12 noon and finish the 50 minutes.
“And the third option was to forfeit the game and lose 3-0. So, you know, work it out for yourself. Is it the players’ wish to play? Did they have any choice really? I don’t think they had.
“And as you can hear from [Sunday’s] press conference, the coach seriously regrets putting the players back on the pitch”

“We [France] play in 4-2-3-1, also a diamond. I am a little more in the transmission, in the construction.

United decided to dedicate their efforts to getting the 21–year-old rather than a drawn out pursuit of Erling Haaland.
The Old Trafford club spoke to Haaland and his representatives.
But the striker, also at Dortmund, made it clear he has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid.
Unfortunately for him, their financial problems could rule him out of a move to the Spaniards.
Chelsea are prepared to match the £154.5m price for the 20-year-old Leeds-born goal machine.
Manchester City are also interested and can match the price tag.
The English champions are badly in need of a striker with Sergio Aguero having now left.

Man Utd open talks with Paul Pogba over new contract after incredible turnaround following Raiola quit claims

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly ready to hand Paul Pogba a new contract with just a year left to run on his current deal. The Frenchman hit good form for the Red Devils in 2020-21 despite numerous claims that he was ready to quit the club.

Mino Raiola even stated ‘it’s over’ for his client in December, sparking a fresh feud between the agent and United.
The player distanced himself from the prospect of a move amid links with Real Madrid and Juventus.
According to Sky Sports, Old Trafford bosses have contacted Pogba’s representatives to discuss a new contract.
The 28-year-old is free to negotiate a pre-agreed free transfer to a club outside of England from the start of next year, unless a renewal can be agreed.
Since becoming the club’s £89million record signing, Pogba has remained on the same terms for the entirety of his five-year stay after an automatic 12-month extension was triggered last year.
A number of United managers failed to get full value for money out of the academy product but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has enjoyed success in deploying him on the left flank of a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Pogba’s affinity with the spectacular earned a number of key wins as he hit often-stunning goals past West Ham, Burnley, AC Milan and Fulham.
So far, he has won only a League Cup and Europa League in Manchester and is out to add the Euros to his World Cup honours with France.

If United are unable to agree a new deal, speculation could rise again that he may leave with one potential destination thought to be Juventus, who he joined after running down his Old Trafford contract in 2012.
A swap deal for Cristiano Ronaldo has even been mooted in the Italian media.
Meanwhile, United have reportedly moved a step closer to finally signing Jadon Sancho after agreeing personal terms with the winger.

Man Utd reach Jadon Sancho transfer agreement over £80m deal as terms are agreed with Borussia Dortmund winger

But they have now moved one step closer to finally signing their target having struck a deal with the player himself.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Sancho has agreed a contract until 2026.
Still, United are yet to agree a transfer fee but have started negotiations with Dortmund, who rate the forward at around £80m.
The two clubs were unable to come to terms last summer, as Dortmund demanded £108m.
At the time, United were unwilling to match the price tag and instead moved for Edison Cavani, 34, on a free transfer.
In the period since, the German giants dropped their valuation and opened the door to selling Sancho, due to financial strains amid the coronavirus pandemic.
And United made it clear they were still after their man, with the England international, 21, also pushing for a move to Old Trafford.
Sancho, a former City academy graduate, is currently on international duty ahead of the delayed European Championships.

He is joined by United stars Dean Henderson, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford.
Sancho was believed to have wanted a move to United last year with his performances being affected after the deal collapsed.
But he brilliantly re-found his form after the new year and ended the season with 16 goals and 20 assists in his 28 appearances.
He helped Dortmund lift the German Cup, scoring twice in the final, easily earning a call up to his first major international tournament.

Watch Man Utd star Paul Pogba brutally shut down PSG transfer talk after France team-mates joke about summer switch

PAUL POGBA made very clear that he was not in talks with Paris Saint-Germain in a hilarious exchange with two of his France team-mates.The Manchester United midfielder gatecrashed Kingsley Coman and Presnel Kimpembe’s press conference during Les Bleus’ Euro 2020 camp.
Paul Pogba cracked a joke with Kingsley Coman and Presnel Kimpembe
The Manchester United star dropped a brutal response to transfer rumours
Popping up from behind the pair, he interrupted their Infosport chat to, quite simply, have a bit of a catch up.
PSG defender Kimpembe and Coman, a former winger for the Ligue 1 club, laughed as he emerged and Pogba asked about the topic of conversation.
With Paris on the agenda, the 28-year-old confirmed that he is from the city having grown up in the suburb of Lagny-sur-Marne.
Fellow Parisians Coman and Kimpembe gently probed their international colleague over a potential return home.
Pogba quickly cottoned on and when asked by Coman if there had been any ‘contact’ over a transfer, he quickly shot back: “Huh? No.”
Kimpembe burst out laughing as his pal exited stage right, adding an extra comment off camera.

After five years at Manchester United, Pogba’s contract expires next summer and the club are reportedly concerned about losing him on a free.
According to ESPN, PSG are among the clubs who would be interested in signing him if he were to become available.
There is said to be little expectation that a serious bid will land for his services this summer.
But United want to agree a new deal with Pogba and may be forced to cash in if there is little prospect of that happening.
