According to Goal, Juventus defender Danilo told the press: “Having him in the team is important for us because he brings an avalanche of goals.
“He’s a dear friend, we’ve known each other since Real Madrid.
“He’ll still be with us next season.”
Former Manchester City star Danilo and Ronaldo played together at Real Madrid between 2015 and 2017 before reuniting in Italy two years ago.
The Portuguese forward has been prolific for Juventus since joining the club in July 2018, scoring 81 goals in 97 Serie A appearances.
Previous reports suggested the Italian club would let him leave this summer for just £25million, with United and PSG rumoured to be interested.

And Ronaldo refused to rule out a return to Old Trafford during an interview in June, telling the press: “Whatever comes will be for the best.”
But it now appears he’ll stay at Juventus for at least another year.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is believed to be in Turin to discuss the player’s future with his existing employers.

The Real legend reportedly wants to sign a one-year extension at Juventus to keep him at the club until 2023.
Ronaldo is on course to win the top scorer award at Euro 2020 with five goals and one assist, although Harry Kane will win the award with a brace against Italy in the final.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has recently come under fire, with ex-Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri claiming he was difficult to manage.

Man Utd and Chelsea eye Joachim Andersen transfer in case they miss out on top targets with Denmark star to cost £25m

DENMARK’S Euros exit will kickstart the race to sign Joachim Andersen. The centre-back, who came on as a late substitute in Wednesday’s semi-final defeat to England, impressed while on loan at Fulham last season.

Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, Leicester and Crystal Palace have all been monitoring his progress.
SunSport understands Andersen, 25, is set to be back in the Premier League come the end of the window, it is just a matter of which club takes him.
Lyon paid a club record of just over £25million for the defender in 2019 and would want their money back.
Tottenham and United have been admirers since Andersen played for Sampdoria in Serie A – and the 6ft 4in ace even visited Spurs back then.
Andersen was made Cottagers captain after just four games last season but could not prevent the West Londoners from going down.
The Danish defender began his career at Dutch side Twente and made his international debut against Luxembourg in October 2019.

The Red Devils have been linked with several centre-backs in recent weeks, including Sevilla’s Jules Kounde and Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane.
Spurs are also rumoured to be keen on Kounde, although reports suggest the player is not interested in moving to North London – potentially paving the way for Andersen to join.
Varane is United’s first-choice target – according to Sport Witness – but the Prem giants may move for Andersen if the France international proves to be too expensive.
The 28-year-old has reportedly given United ‘his word’ he will join the club this summer after a decade at Real.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already missed out on legendary Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, who’s joined Paris Saint-Germain.

But instead of staying with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team squad this term, he instead looks set to be heading out of Old Trafford again.
Chong spent the start of last season on loan in Germany at Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.
That was before he headed to Belgium in January in a switch to Club Brugge.
He has a number of options outside of these shores as well as a host of clubs interested in him domestically.
However, he seems to be heading to Lee Bowyer’s Championship side Birmingham City on a season-long loan, according to several reports.
Chong penned a new deal at United in June 2020 after they fought-off competition from several outfits courting his services.
The attacker has made 16 appearances for the Red Devils but last featured in the second leg of the Europa League tie against LASK Linz in August 2020.
He also played 15 times for Werder Bremen between August 2020 and January 2021.

Roma could lose United old boy Chris Smalling this summer, with the 31-year-old linked with a potential departure.
And Rome daily Il Tempo suggests Mourinho could offer Bailly an emotional reunion at the Stadio Olimpico.
Bailly revealed a private phone call with his former boss in May after Mourinho parted company with the North London club.
The pair were reported to have enjoyed a warm relationship during the former Chelsea and Tottenham boss’ time in charge at Old Trafford.
The Ivorian said: “When he was sacked I sent him a message, and when he signed for Roma I spoke to him on the phone.

PSG ‘want to close transfer for Man Utd star Paul Pogba this summer’ but must first shift deadwood

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN reportedly want to ‘close out’ a deal to sign Manchester United star Paul Pogba. The French midfielder is yet to agree a new deal at Old Trafford – he has one more season to run.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, PSG ‘would like to close the purchase of Pogba in the next few weeks’.
It is reportedly ‘the dream’ for president Nasser Al-Khelaifi who wants to ‘build the team around Pogba’.
The French giants have already signed Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi, Gio Wijnaldum and Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer.
But the Ligue 1 runners-up will have to ship out some players first. United will still expect a big fee despite the 28-year-old having a year left on his contract.
And Pogba, who was France’s best player at the Euros, is believed to take home around £290,000 a week at United.
PSG are growing increasingly confident of sealing a move this summer.
According to French publication RMC, the 28-year-old is ‘more than open’ to the idea of leaving United for the French capital.
United could be forced to cash in on his signature this summer or risk losing him for nothing in 12 month’s time.

That would be a last resort for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side who forked out £89million to bring him back to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016.
Pogba was linked with a move away from United last summer but a £150million price-tag put off potential suitors.
Now his value is likely to have dropped to only around a third of that.
United are open to raising cash to bolster their own squad having already forked out £73m to sign Jadon Sancho.
Pogba has also been linked with a return to Juventus, as well as joining Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Man Utd ‘very interested’ in Raphael Varane transfer in £43m move that could see Real Madrid finally land Kylian Mbappe

And Real are open to selling as those funds could go towards a deal for Varane’s international teammate Kylian Mbappe.
United are known to big fans of centre-back Varane.
The defender has just one year left on his Bernabeu contract.
And Varane has reportedly told Real he wants to leave for a new adventure.
United are now thought to be getting closer to a deal, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side ready to sell.
They have already made moves allowing for Varane’s departure by handing Nacho a new three-year deal.
David Alaba has also been snapped up on a free transfer from Bayern Munich.
And Varane could now be set to join former defensive partner Sergio Ramos out of the door at Real.

⚽ ENGLAND vs DENMARK BETTING SPECIAL ⚽

It’s believed Los Blancos are looking for £43million for the centre-back.
And it’s a fee United are willing to pay, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already splashing £73m on Borussia Dormtund winger Jadon Sancho.
The funds banked from Varane’s exit would apparently go into a transfer kitty exclusively for Paris Saint-Germain striker Mbappe.
The 22-year-old is said to be Real’s ‘dream’ transfer target, even more so than Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
And should they collect enough cash from outgoings and saved salaries, Real could launch their audacious move for Mbappe this summer.
But should PSG price them out of a move, Real are happy to wait until next summer when the forward is out of contract and available for nothing.
