Man United and Dortmund have been haggling over Sancho for over a year.
But a deal has finally been agreed, pending the England winger’s medical tests.
In a club statement, the Red Devils wrote: “Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.
“The signing is subject to contractual terms and a medical, which will be completed after Jadon’s involvement in the UEFA European Championship.”
Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said: “There’s an agreement with Manchester United for Sancho.
“It was Jadon’s express wish to change, we would have liked to keep him.
“We are not happy about the money but sad that he’s leaving.”

And he would like to take the ‘cursed’ No7 shirt from Edinson Cavani.
The likes of Angel Di Maria, Memphis Depay and Alexis Sanchez have flopped in the shirt in recent years.
But Sancho would like to take on the legendary number worn by Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Eric Cantona down the years.
Sancho is currently at Euro 2020 with England, although has struggled for game time under Gareth Southgate.
The new Man United star has been handed just six minutes of game time in four matches, but will be hoping to feature against Ukraine in Rome on Saturday.
Sancho could be joined at Old Trafford by another high-profile recruit in Raphael Varane.
According to ESPN, the Real Madrid and France star is ‘close to finalising a move’ to Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho to take Man Utd’s ‘cursed’ No7 shirt off Cavani after flops like Alexis Sanchez and Memphis Depay wore it

JADON SANCHO will take the ‘cursed’ No7 shirt at Manchester United. Edinson Cavani currently has the number at Old Trafford and has put an end to the luckless run of owners.

The Uruguayan, 34, arrived on a free transfer last summer and scored 17 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions.
That is one more than predecessors Angel Di Maria, Memphis Depay AND Alexis Sanchez managed combined wearing the No7.
The trio all struggled with the Red Devils as some suggested the number was a bad omen – despite the success United legends George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed with it.
Di Maria had the No7 for his one season in England, 2014-15, and scored four goals in 32 appearances before Depay took over in 2015 for two years, 53 matches and seven goals.
Sanchez inherited it in January 2018 but fared no better with five strikes across his 45 games.
Now, though, the Metro say Sancho will take the jersey from Cavani – despite the striker sticking around for another season.
And United fans will be hoping he is in heaven wearing the No7, just as he has been at Borussia Dortmund.
It comes as Borussia Dortmund confirmed the deal for Sancho to join Manchester United is done.

Cristiano Ronaldo ‘made available for just £25m by Juventus’ amid Man Utd and PSG transfer interest

CRISTIANO RONALDO is available for just £25million this summer, according to reports.Juventus paid around four times this amount for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s services back in 2018.
Cristiano Ronaldo could be on the move for just £25mCredit: Reuters
But according to Gazzetta, the Old Lady are ready to bring their costly Ronaldo experiment to an end… amid rumoured interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Juve’s former sporting director Fabio Paratici was a driving figure in bringing CR7 to Turin in 2018.
But with the Italian having now left and joined Spurs, the Serie A giants are set to pull the plug on their expensive No7’s time at the club.
Juventus could save as much as £75m in salary by parting with Ronaldo this summer.
And club chiefs have already met with the star’s agent Jorge Mendes to discuss a potential transfer.
Even at 36, Ronaldo has remained a prolific goalscorer for club and country.
He scored 36 goals in 44 games for Juventus last season, even as Andrea Pirlo’s side slumped to fourth.
And the Portuguese ace also netted five goals in just four games for his country at Euro 2020 – equalling Ali Daei’s international goalscoring record of 109 in the process.

Overall, Ronaldo has bagged 101 goals in 133 games for Juventus.
He could now complete an emotional return to Man United – 12 years after leaving Old Trafford for Real Madrid.
PSG are also believed to be keen – especially if Kylian Mbappe forces an exit this summer.

Rio Ferdinand urges Jadon Sancho not to be ‘sidetracked’ at Man Utd and ‘be yourself and entertain’ after £73m transfer

Rio Ferdinan has offered some words of wisdom to the wingerCredit: Getty
He has already agreed personal terms on a five-year deal and will have his medical once he has finished duty with England at Euro 2020.
Sancho has only made one substitute appearance at the tournament so far this summer.
But he showed his capabilities last term in the Bundesliga as he scored 16 goals and produced 20 assists.
United legend Ferdinand is now expecting the ace to carry on that blistering form at the Theatre of Dreams.
And the ex-England centre-back urged Sancho not to let anything distract him from his goal and to ‘entertain’ at United.
Ferdinand told his FIVE YouTube channel: “I don’t need to tell him this because he loves his football, but work hard and make sure everything you do is about being a success at Manchester United and being the best you can be.
“Don’t let anything sidetrack you. Be yourself, entertain and the end product is what you’re about. Bring that to the table.
“The energy and the focus should be solely on football. Just immerse yourself in everything about the club, man.”

Ferdinand continued: “Sancho’s arrived, Sancho’s here! I feel beautiful man.
“This boy, just look at his stats, they don’t lie. In terms of goal involvements he was the second most over three seasons – that’s a fact.
“He’s got to convert that to the Premier League which is difficult, we’ve seen that, but listen, I believe in Jadon Sancho man.
“Since he was a kid, he’s had hot press, hot expectations, he had the bravery to leave Man City and go abroad. Personality, character.”
Ferdinand added: “On the right-hand side and the left-hand side, we haven’t got a winger who goes on the outside and can cross the ball. That’s what you need.
“He can play on the right or the left, he plays with both feet. On that right-wing, as well as Mason [Greenwood] has done and I’m a massive fan of his, this is Manchester United, who are always associated with wingers.
“At any of our most successful times, there’s been wide players who can cross the ball. For a full-back, it’s terrible news!”

Jose, who is still contracted to Sociedad for another three years, spent the second half of the season on loan at Wolves.
But while chatting to Spanish paper Noticias de Gipuzkoa, he has put the boot into his employers.
He said: “I think they have not treated me well.
“I expected a little more. When I renewed my contract, I had spoken with Roberto Olabe about there being some interested teams, from the Premier League and also from LaLiga.
“I spoke with Roberto, and he told me that if a big team which played in the Champions League came in for me, they would let me go. I stayed calm.
“Then came Barcelona and an offer from Manchester United. I saw that it was an opportunity that I could not miss out on because life is like that.
“You have to take advantage of opportunities, and I saw that it was the opportunity.
“In the end, things did not go well, and this year they let me go to Wolves.

“I don’t understand why a few months ago they didn’t want to let me go for €23 million and now they have let me go. Football is sometimes difficult to understand.”
The Red Devils had been scrambling around for a solution upfront, having missed Romelu Lukaku following his departure to Inter Milan.
They ended up settling on a shock Deadline Day loan move for Odion Ighalo, before signing Edinson Cavani in the summer.
Barcelona, meanwhile, controversially signed Martin Braithwaite from Celta Vigo.
Jose scored three goals in 13 outings during the first half of last season, before making his January loan switch to Wolves.
He managed just one goal in 17 Premier League appearances, however, failing to replace the injured Raul Jimenez’s impact at Molineux.

Earlier this week, reports in Germany revealed Dortmund had accepted United’s THIRD bid of the summer.
The former Manchester City academy ace has reportedly already told Three Lions team-mates he is making the switch to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

For now, Sancho is still currently on Euro 2020 duty with England and will hope to play a part in the quarter-final clash against Ukraine on Saturday night.
The winger is enduring a tough time at the tournament, playing just six minutes as a late substitute against the Czech Republic.
Sancho, though, on the bench for the last-16 win over Germany, recently insisted he is fully focused on the Three Lions.
The England ace will become Man Utd’s third-most-expensive signing in club history behind Paul Pogba (£89m) and Harry Maguire (£80m).
