Man Utd star Jesse Lingard transfer hint as West Ham keeper Darren Randolph says he will ‘see him soon for training’

WEST HAM’s Darren Randolph has cast doubt over Jesse Lingard’s Manchester United future after telling the star ‘I’ll be seeing you soon’. The West Ham goalkeeper spent six months with Lingard last season, after the midfielder joined on loan in January.

The move saw Lingard rejuvenate his career, scoring nine times for the Hammers in 16 games and leading to strong interest in a potential permanent transfer.
But it is believed Lingard, 28, wanted to stay at United while West Ham were unwilling to meet United’s valuation.
The England international, who narrowly missed out on a place in England’s Euro 2020 squad this summer, has since missed the start of the season with coronavirus.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer welcomed Lingard back this summer to help bolster his midfield options.
But still the playmaker has attracted attention away from Old Trafford, including at West Ham and Leicester.
Hammers keeper Randolph appeared to do his best publicly to tempt Lingard back to the London Stadium.

He posted on Instagram: “@JesseLingard I’ll be seeing you soon at Rush Green for training! You know you want to!”
Lingard was forced to watch from home as United opened their Premier League account by thumping Leeds 5-1 at home.
And afterwards, Solskjaer all-but confirmed the player would be returning to United’s side after recovering from Covid-19.
He said: “Don’t forget Jesse Lingard who has re-invented himself and has come back the man that we know he is with the quality.
“He is going to play a big part as well.”

Pereira has been at United since 2011, scoring four goals in 75 games.

The playmaker is believed to be a target for Everton boss Rafa Benitez.
And Turkish giants Fenerbahce have also made an approach after being impressed by his pre-season performances.

Paul Scholes predicts Paul Pogba WILL sign new contract now that Man Utd look like team that can ‘win trophies’

PAUL SCHOLES believes Paul Pogba will sign a new Manchester United contract – now that they look like a team capable of winning trophies. The French midfielder, 28, has entered the final year of his current deal at Old Trafford.

Question marks still hang over his future amid links of a move to Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid.
But Scholes reckons Pogba will stay put and help United lift their first silverware since the 2017 Europa League.
The Red Devils legend told Premier League Productions: “I think he’ll stay. I think he will.
“When he was playing a couple of years ago in a team that wasn’t quite functioning as well as this one looks like it might do, and with the amount of attacking players he’s got, the ability he’s got, I think he’ll add a lot to this team.
“I think he’ll end up signing a new contract.
“If this team carries on in this manner, progressing like it is – I don’t want to get too excited – but it’s a team that can go on and win trophies and that’s what he wants to do.”

BETTING SPECIAL – GET MAN CITY AT 7/1 OR TOTTENHAM AT 33/1
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports Pogba will be going nowhere next summer.
No deal has been agreed just yet but talks have been ongoing for a number of weeks between the club and Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola.
Scholes’ comments came after Pogba put in a stunning performance in United’s 5-1 thrashing of Leeds at Old Trafford.
The £89million man produced FOUR assists as he blew Marcelo Bielsa’s side away.
In the process, he became the first United player to achieve the amazing feat of four assists in one game in the club’s history.
And Pogba also bettered his assists tally for the entirety of last season – when he managed three.
His boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hailed the display – and hopes the return of adoring fans could help convince him to pen that new deal.
The Norwegian said: “Impressive. You know Paul’s always got that vision, he’s got that quality.

“I’m very impressed with his fitness levels as well. He’s not been with us for too long and he looks fit, ready to go, enjoying his football.
“I love seeing Paul, Bruno [Fernandes], all these boys smiling when they play football.
“Manchester United is fans and players and everyone together. So short answer: yes [it could influence Pogba’s decision].”

Man Utd’s worst transfers XI post-Sir Alex Ferguson, including Fred, Di Maria and Depay that cost a staggering £325m

SIR ALEX FERGUSON left Manchester United with the Premier League trophy – but a raft of bad signings has seen it taken away with little sign of returning.A massive £323.7million has been splashed on 11 particularly dodgy deals.

The worst XI of bad signings predominantly features attackers as the Red Devils failed to replace the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
Romelu Lukaku cost an initial £75m and United struggled to find takers when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to offload the Belgian to Inter where he thrived, before re-joining Chelsea.
A promising first season was lost with a drop-off in 2018-19, scoring at an average of one every three games before leaving for Italy.
At the very least, Lukaku provided some memorable moments but the same cannot be said for Angel Di Maria.
The winger arrived with much fanfare in 2014 and quickly dropped off the pace, shepherded out to Paris Saint-Germain where he painfully found the form he lacked in England.
The next expensive error was Fred who joined for £52m, but he still has time to prove himself at Old Trafford.
In the slightly more affordable but nonetheless useless category are Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Morgan Schneiderlin, who came in for £30m and £27m respectively.
Depay inherited the hallowed No7 shirt but failed to do it justiceCredit: PA:Empics Sport
Still, United recouped most of the fee they spent on French anchor man Schneiderlin when he joined Everton but Mkhitaryan’s exit saw Alexis Sanchez arrive – making the Chilean’s initial fee cheap and yet still a huge disappointment.
Among those who arrived with potential and waited until after leaving to go on to great things is Memphis Depay.
Now a star at Barcelona and with the Dutch national team, his baffling form in the 2015/16 season showed that United had lost their touch when turning young gems into superstars.
Many United fans point to executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward as the chief architect of these abysmal deals.
While replacing the peerless David Gill was a tough assignment, and finding a man capable of replacing Fergie nigh-on impossible, there are serious questions over his approach.
Not only are these players examples of bad deals, managers such as Jose Mourinho were dismayed that not enough players were bought.
Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind were picked up in 2014 off the back of good World Cup campaigns – a strategy that rarely pays off and cost the club over £30m.
And although Matteo Darmian was an Italian international when plucked from Torino, Louis van Gaal’s exit cast him to the fringes.
Rounding off this worst XI are two short-term signings that never got to grips with the Premier League.
Few have flopped in the Prem like Di MariaCredit: PA:Empics Sport
Falcao struggled both at United and ChelseaCredit: PA:Empics Sport

Perhaps the Red Devils thought they were pulling off a cunning piece of Andrea Pirlo-esque business when bringing in Bastian Schweinsteiger but, at 31, the German was far past his best during an 18-month spell.
Radamel Falcao was still in his late-20s when arriving on loan in 2014 on a £6m fee and massive wage combination yet hit just four goals in 29 games.
Of course, not all of Fergie’s signings hit the right note – just ask Kleberson, Eric Djemba Djemba or Juan-Sebastian Veron.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not park in the manager’s car parking spot – as he believes it still belongs to Sir Alex Ferguson More

And plenty of the world’s biggest clubs are clamouring for his signature.
But Manchester United look to have been given a boost with the forward’s heart thought to be set on England.
According to Sky Germany, both Haaland and Dortmund would rather he left for the Premier League – rather than Bayern Munich.
The Norwegian kicked off the new season by slamming a hat-trick past Wehen Wiesbaden in the first round of Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal defence, taking his Dortmund tally to 60 goals in 60 games.
Reporter Jesco von Eichmann said: “Haaland seems to be very happy here.
“All the transfer rumours of the last weeks and months seem not to have affected him.

BETTING SPECIAL – GET MAN UTD AT 7/1 OR LEEDS AT 40/1
“If Dortmund were to sell him, they would prefer not to sell him within the Bundesliga because they know how strong he is and how many goals he scores.
“If they have to lose him, they would prefer to lose him to the Premier League or LaLiga.
“I cannot imagine Bayern Munich signing Erling Haaland next summer because Erling Haaland is dreaming of the Premier League.
“I don’t think he will stay in Germany.”
Haaland’s £65million release clause can be activated next summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of his compatriot and United desperately need a long-term solution up front with Edinson Cavani turning 35 this season.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are in financial ruin so would struggle to secure a move.

Man Utd outcast Andreas Pereira ‘wanted by Everton’ on loan transfer but Red Devils only interested in permanent deal

EVERTON have approached Manchester United about a move for Andreas Pereira, reports say. Pereira spent last season on loan at Lazio having continued to struggle for games at Old Trafford.

The midfielder scored a wonder goal against Brentford in pre-season, reminding clubs of his talent a sUnoted look to move him on.
And according to Fabrizio Romano, Everton are among several looking to take the Belgian-born, Brazil international on loan.
But United are understood to be prioritising a permanent deal for the unsettled playmaker.
Pereira, 25, moved to Old Trafford in 2015, but has struggled to cement a place in the first team.
During his time at the club, he has been loaned out to Granada, Valencia and most recently Lazio.
At the end of the last campaign, the Serie A giants enquired about signing Pereira on a permanent deal – but were told to stump up around £21million.
Instead, Lazio turned their attentions to Felipe Anderson, who they snapped up from West Ham in a £3m deal.

Fenerbahce are also a side reported to have thrown their hat in the ring for Pereira’s services.

According to the report by TNT Sports, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kept in regular contact with Pereira when he was on loan in Italy.

Varane, 28, was seen in a white BMW 4X4 in Alderley Edge, Cheshire on Friday.
He had a woman next to him and stepped out the vehicle at one stage at a garage.
The Red Devils are signing the France international centre-back with the deal worth an initial £34m.
The star was spotted arriving at United’s training ground for the first time on Tuesday after he enjoyed a post-Euro 2020 break to undergo his medical.
SunSport now understands that Varane has successfully completed those medical checks and signed on the dotted line to make the transfer official.
He has agreed a four-year contract with the option for a further 12-months.

Varane has already posed in United’s colours for the official announcement with his shirt number all set to be unveiled.
The numbers 12, 16, 22, 24 are the lowest ones currently available at Old Trafford but it will not be until the official confirmation that his shirt is revealed.
But he could struggle to be on the bench for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side when they kick-off the Premier League campaign at home to Leeds on Saturday.
The 2018 World Cup winner arrived at the Aon Training Ground on Thursday to finalise his switch.
Varane was spotted being driven into Carrington in the back of a black Mercedes to finally undergo his medical.

The star had just one year left on his current contract at the Bernabeu.

RAPHAEL VARANE will not be available for selection against Leeds in a blow to Red Devils as his transfer from Real Madrid will not be not completed in time. As such, he will not be available to face Leeds on Saturday and has yet to take part in team trainin. He said: “He’s [Varane] not trained with us. Things happen and things take time.
“Unfortunately with the isolation and the delay, these things… It’s not 100 per cent done yet.”
In order for the centre-back to be available, he would need to have been registered by 12pm today, but United’s failure to push the move through in time means they’ll be without their new signing for the Leeds game.
Instead, Varane may have to wait until United take on Southampton at St. Mary’s next Sunday to make his debut for the club.
But even then, the player is still listed as a Real Madrid player by LaLiga, indicating that although a deal has been agreed, he remains a Madridista for the time being.
Solskjaer has tried to reassure fans that the deal will still be completed despite these complications, stating: “The big hold up was the quarantine of course but he’s in Manchester now. It will be done soon.”
With Varane unavailable and Rashford out for up to 12 weeks after an operation on his shoulder, there has been much speculation about how United will line up for their first game of the season.

Man Utd’s biggest transfers ever, both in and out, including Ronaldo
The Norweigan has also hinted that there could yet be more signings at Old Trafford this summer, hinting: “You never know what is going to happen in football.
“We’ve still got one hopefully coming in, and any surprises, anything can happen. We’ve got to be ready, but I’m very happy with what we’ve done so far.”
United are reportedly locked in a two-horse transfer race with PSG for Rennes superstar Eduardo Camavinga, 18, who could be available for a reported £34m.
The Reds also appear to have given up in their pursuit of England star Kieran Trippier after reports that Diogo Dalot has convinced Solskjaer to give him another chance after an impressive pre-season.
