It had been claimed last month that the World Cup winner is ‘more likely’ to pen a new deal following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
But according to Spanish news outlet El Nacional, his agent Raiola is trying to convince Los Blancos to snap him up in 2022.
They state that the ex-Juventus ace, who can speak to foreign clubs about a summer move in the New Year, is keen to play in LaLiga in the future.
Barcelona have been linked with securing Pogba’a services, but he would have to take a huge pay cut in order to join the Blaugrana.
And El Nacional have reported that Raiola has been in contact with the Catalan club’s president Joan Laporta.
But Barca cannot afford to bring him to the Nou Camp, leaving Raiola to allegedly try and persuade Real to sign the four-time Serie A champion.

Paris Saint-Germain are understood to remain keen on Pogba after failing to bring him to Parc des Princes in the recent transfer window.
But Real are believed to be the frontrunners should the player decide to seek a new challenge away from the Premier League.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side are in need of new midfielders with Luka Modric in the last year of his deal at the Bernabeu.
Meanwhile Toni Kroos is tied down until 2023, and Real could decide to cash in on him.
Should Pogba link up with Real, he could partner French compatriot Eduardo Camavinga, who linked up with the Madrid outfit in August.
Raphael Varane has urged Pogba to remain with the Red Devils, as he said: “It is of course his decision, but of course I hope he stays here for a long time.
“He is a fantastic player, so undoubtedly I hope he stays.
“He did not have to convince me that I should move here, but I talked to him about the club to find out what it is like to be here day-to-day.
“It was important for me to hear his opinions and thoughts about the club, the team and their ambitions.”

Man Utd transfer target Kalvin Phillips will only leave Leeds if ‘links with boyhood club remain intact’, claims Bielsa

MARCELO BIELSA has revealed Manchester United target Kalvin Phillips will only leave the club if his links to the club and fans remain intact. The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old as an alternative to his England international team-mate Declan Rice.

It has been claimed that the Whites have slapped a £60million price tag on the midfielder.
But the Yorkshire outfit remain keen to keep hold of their academy graduate and are said to have opened contract talks with the player.
And Leeds boss Bielsa has now commented on Phillips’ future as he accepted that an exit away from Elland Road could happen.
However the Argentine gaffer, 66, has played down the chances of him departing to fierce rivals United.
Speaking of Phillips, he said: “I’m sure the day he leaves Leeds and the way that he does it, far from provoking disappointment – of course it will generate disappointment – but it’s going to solidify his link to the club, the people and the city.
“I’m sure he would only leave if it’s guaranteed that the link to the place where he was born remains intact. He will know how to do it.”

Asked whether he is confident he would remain at Leeds, he added: “That’s a question Kalvin needs to answer.
“Of course for us he’s a very valuable player. We have to adapt ourselves to how he feels belonging to Leeds.
“I have seen in him a conduct that I have very rarely seen in a player in how football is right now.
“For a player to climb to the level he is at, due to the love of the club he’s at, is not frequent.
“I have a certainty that Kalvin is going to enjoy for the rest of his life, the decisions he’s going to make.

“He will be loved definitively for always in the place where he was born and where he belongs.
“When you go for the money or for the evolution, you resolve a moment in your sporting career.
“But when you opt for the affection of your people, you resolve your life forever because when you’re loved when you’re from, the possibilities to be happy increase.”

Man Utd join Everton in hunt for Aberdeen starlet Calvin Ramsay, 18, as Old Trafford scouts compile transfer dossier

MANCHESTER UNITED have joined the growing number of clubs tracking Calvin Ramsay.SunSport understands the Red Devils have had the 18-year-old Aberdeen kid watched regularly this season and their recruitment department is compiling a dossier.
Aberdeen star Calvin Ramsay is wanted by Manchester UnitedCredit: Willie Vass
SunSport revealed last month Everton had turned their attention to Ramsay after failing in several bids to lure Scotland starlet Nathan Patterson from Rangers.
Dons boss Stephen Glass is convinced academy graduate Ramsay is destined to make it big and he has become one of his first picks.
The right-back has been a standout for the Dons this term, even during a tough run of eight games without a win.
Ramsay further enhanced his credentials with a decent debut for Scotland Under-21s in last month’s Euro qualifying draw in Turkey.
It’s been a rapid rise for the defender six months after being handed his debut by then caretaker manager Paul Sheerin as a late sub against Dundee United at Tannadice.
The following week he started at Dumbarton in a Scottish Cup tie and caught the eye in front of the live TV cameras.

Since then Ramsay, who signed a new deal until June 2024 at the start of the year, has made another 18 appearances.
Dons chiefs may yet move to further improve the youngster’s contract terms as interest in him reaches fever pitch.
Aberdeen are back in action this weekend as they try end their winless run in their clash with Celtic.
It could see Scott Brown line up against his old side for the very first time after 14 years at the club.
But speaking earlier this week, Craig Levein reckons the skipper hasn’t been as effective as he wants to be at Pittodrie.
He said: “I think it’s really difficult for him but he might get away with it because of his personality and the charisma that he has as well.
“Scott was fantastic at Celtic but he had the spell under Ronny Deila where he kind of fell away a little bit.
“Brendan Rodgers got him back to that top level again.

“But trust me, playing centre midfield for Celtic is a different thing altogether to playing centre midfield for Aberdeen.
“Scott would patrol that midfield area, drop down to take the ball off the centre backs and he would have five choices of passes.
“He didn’t have to do the amount of running he’s having to do at Aberdeen – he basically planted himself in front of those centre backs and tidied things up.”

How Man Utd could line-up next season with Erling Haaland partnering Cristiano Ronaldo and Declan Rice in midfield

MANCHESTER UNITED could be set to splash the cash again in 2022 as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to continue his rebuild. The Red Devils brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane in the summer, and the club are likely to go big again next year.
This is how Manchester United could start in 2022 should they sign Erling Haaland and Declan Rice
Solskjaer is still eyeing up his first piece of silverware since taking charge in December 2018, while United haven’t won a trophy since the Europa League in 2017.
United failed to bring in a central midfielder in the recent transfer window, and that is believed to be a key priority for next season.
And despite bringing in Ronaldo, Solskjaer is understood to be keen to sign another centre-forward.
Edinson Cavani is in the last year of his contract at Old Trafford and is unlikely to be handed a new one-year deal.
Meanwhile Anthony Martial faces an uncertain future following his poor form this campaign.
And it has been claimed that United are eyeing up a double swoop to bring Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland and West Ham star Declan Rice to the Theatre of Dreams.

Haaland is now available for £64million due to a clause in his contract, while Rice could set United back £100m.
Here SunSport takes a look at how United could line-up should they secure the duo’s services in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation.
David De Gea will likely retain his place between the sticks having started all six Premier League games this term.
And Solskjaer could name his preferred back four, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka deployed at right-back and Luke Shaw starting on the opposite side.
French World Cup winner Raphael Varane would then be partnered alongside skipper Harry Maguire in the heart of defence.

Starting in defensive midfield of a narrow diamond could be Scott McTominay who is no stranger to having played there under the Norwegian gaffer.
Rice could then feature with Paul Pogba in the middle of the pitch, with Bruno Fernandes deployed in the No10 role.
And Ronaldo could then lead the line with Haaland in what would be one of the deadliest attacks in the top-flight.

Man Utd weigh up transfer bids for £100m Declan Rice and £60m Kalvin Phillips – but which of the England pals is better?

MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly made a central midfielder their top target for next summer, with Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips linked. But who is better?

While The Independent state that a fee north of £100million would be required to sign West Ham star Rice, Leeds are said to want a mere £60m for Phillips.
It is clear to see why both are so valuable for their clubs, as well as for country with Gareth Southgate making them his preferred partnership.
Both players excelled in England’s run to the Euro 2020 final and could remain in the team for the best part of a decade.
Although Rice, who at 22 has three years on Phillips, is well known for his defensive stats, it is in attack where he has an edge over the 25-year-old.
Since last season he has bagged more goals and assists, three to two in both category, including a recent wonder goal against Dinamo Zagreb.
Furthermore, Rice fires off more shots than Phillips (0.85 to 0.69 per 90 minutes) and has a better passing accuracy (89 to 95 per cent).

BETTING SPECIAL – GET £50 IN FREE BETS WITH WILLIAM HILL
But that is where the Hammers star begins to run out of statistical advantages over his Three Lions pal.
Phillips has big leads in the number of chances he creates (an average 1.17 to 0.78), plus the passes he plays into the box (3.97 to 1.54) and in the opposition’s final third (7.17 to 5.82).
Of course, tactical differences in David Moyes and Marcelo Bielsa’s set-ups will have an effect on these numbers with the defensive outlook more mixed.
The Yorkshire-born midfielder makes 2.57 tackles every 90 minutes compared to Rice’s 1.8, although he has won a smaller percentage of those attempts.

Phillips has won more recoveries (8.4 to 7.34) but fewer interceptions (1.51 to 1.8), while Rice won more of his headers (56 to 51 per cent).
The statistics paint a picture of two very strong but overall rather different players, with Rice more of a solid and deep-lying rock compared to the technical and energetic ball of energy that is Phillips.
Which one Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will prefer to go all-in for will be a fascinating question ahead of next season.
