      Man Utd outcast Anthony Martial ‘wants Sevilla transfer’ with Barcelona and Juventus circling ahead of Rangnick talks

      ANTHONY MARTIAL wants to join Sevilla, according to reports.The Manchester United forward has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford following the summer arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho.

      And with his game time limited, he is actively weighing up his transfer options with January less than two weeks away.
      Earlier in December, Martial’s agent Philippe Lamboley said: “Anthony wishes to leave the club in January.
      “He just needs to play. He doesn’t want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon.”
      Now, according to Sky Sports, the Spanish side are in pole position to land the Frenchman when the market reopens.
      Sevilla are currently second in LaLiga, six points off Real Madrid with a game in hand.
      Rafa Mir is their top scorer so far this term with seven goals, one more than Lucas Ocampos, while Ivan Rakitic and Erik Lamela have four each.

      MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly made contact with River Plate over signing their super-striker Julian Alvarez.And the Red Devils could snap him up for just £17million – £4m less than his release clause – if they act fast.

      United put in a call to the South American side in the last few weeks, according to Argentine newspaper Ole.
      Alvarez, 21, has been in scintillating form – scoring 24 and providing 15 assists in 46 games.
      Some of Europe’s biggest clubs are said to be keen on the five-cap Argentina international.
      Bayern Munich, Juventus, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid have all been linked.
      And United may even face competition from within the Premier League.
      Aston Villa were said to be leading the race for Alvarez in October.

      FORMER Chelsea wonderkid Daishawn Redan has revealed why he snubbed Manchester United before joining the Blues in 2017.Redan, 20, was snapped up on a free transfer by Chelsea when he was just 16 years old after impressing with Ajax.

      But he failed to convince the Blues to hand him a senior professional contract.
      And the Netherlands U21 striker was sold to Hertha Berlin for £2.43million just two years later.
      However, Redan has now revealed he could have joined United instead of Chelsea.
      The PEC Zwolle loanee, who also took in a spell at Groningen last season, was approached by West Ham and RB Leipzig too.
      But Redan chose Stamford Bridge over Old Trafford as he felt there was more chance of development in London.
      Redan told Funx: “Ajax wanted to give me a contract, but there were other clubs interested in me: Man United, Leipzig, West Ham.

      Man Utd teen Amad Diallo headed for January loan transfer with ‘many clubs’ interested in deal

      SEVERAL clubs are scrapping to seal a loan deal for Manchester United kid Amad Diallo, according to reports.Diallo, 19, hasn’t played a single minute of Premier League football this season.

      But he saw action during Wednesday’s draw at home to Young Boys as Ralf Rangnick shuffled his pack for the Champions League dead rubber.
      And several European clubs are interested in a short-term deal for the Ivory Coast international.
      Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported: “Many clubs have already approached Man United to negotiate for Amad Diallo loan in January. Feyenoord want him since last summer. #MUFC”
      The young star has been earmarked for a loan all season and Diallo is said to be ‘excited’ by the prospect.
      The winger signed from Atalanta last January in a £37m deal and United are keen for him to get first team football to aid his development.
      Feyenoord were interested in the summer and remain keen in Diallo, who is considered one of the world’s brightest stars.

      Man Utd boss Rangnick ‘wants four transfers including Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland to overhaul team’

      NEW Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has identified four transfer targets, reports say. The German replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November until the end of the season.

      And according to ESPN, Rangnick highlighted United’s midfield as a key area to improve when being interviewed.
      His shortlist include Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingam, 18, Leeds star Kalvin Phillips, 26, and RB Leipzig’s Amadou Haidara, 23.
      Bellingham’s Dortmund team-mate and long term United target Erling Haaland, 21, was also mentioned by Rangnick.
      But both Bellingham and Haaland are among the hottest properties in Europe with the duo expected to be pursued by a number of clubs.
      Hopes of landing Haaland have taken a blow however, with his agent naming Man City as a better option.
      Fred, 28, and Scott McTominay, 25, started in Rangnick’s first game in charge – a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last Sunday.
      Fred scored the winner and the Brazilian won praise alongside midfield partner McTominay, but Rangnick admitted improvements could be made.

      Ralf Rangnick adds to Man Utd coaching staff as he appoints Chris Armas with American granted work permit

      RALF RANGNICK has reportedly made his first appointment at Manchester United by recruiting Chris Armas.German coach Rangnick took charge of the Red Devils last week on an interim basis until the end of the season before beginning a role as a consultant.

      Michael Carrick, who assisted the sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, was placed as caretaker but left the club last week after the win over Arsenal.
      That left Rangnick, who led United to a victory over Crystal Palace in his first game in charge yesterday, needing to add to his staff.
      The 63-year-old interim manager is understood to have contacted New York Red Bulls coach Gerhard Struber regarding a role at Old Trafford.
      Now ESPN’s Taylor Twellman has claimed that Rangnick has turned to American coach Armas.
      It’s claimed the 49-year-old is joining United’s coaching team, and he could potentially be No.2.
      He has been granted a work permit and will travel to England in the next few days to take up the position.

      Armas and Rangnick are believed to have been close for several years and formed a bond when the former was the New York Red Bulls assistant coach and later head coach.
      Rangnick worked at the MLS side as director of football.
      Armas, who is from the Bronx in New York, left Red Bulls in 2020 and briefly took charge of fellow MLS side Toronto FC.
      But he was sacked in July following a 7–1 loss to DC United, the largest loss in the club’s history.
      After finishing his playing career in his homeland, he began coaching as assistant manager of Chicago Fire in 2008.
      He then took charge of women’s team Adelphi Panthers in 2011 before linking up with Red Bulls as assistant in 2015.
      Armas then stepped up to the hot-seat in 2018 for a two-year stint and won the Supporters’ Shield in his first season in charge. 
      He amassed 66 caps for the United States during his playing career.

      How Man Utd could line up if Rangnick lands transfer targets with Haaland and McGinn joining Cristiano Ronaldo and Co

      ERLING HAALAND could partner Cristiano Ronaldo up front in a lethal attack if Ralf Rangnick lands his top transfer targets.The January window is less than a month away.

      And the interim Manchester United boss will already have drawn up his wishlist for the Old Trafford board to try and buy.
      Top of that list is Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland, who has been tearing it up for the Bundesliga side with 72 goals in 70 games since his 2020 switch.
      But before that, Rangnick oversaw the striker’s move from Molde to Red Bull Salzburg two years ago when he was director of football for the Austrian side – which has given United hope he can work his magic again.
      The German would reportedly bag a cool £8million bonus if he can broker the Haaland transfer, too.
      And they will want to get on with sorting a transfer as soon as possible to steal a march on the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid who are all keen.
      As revealed by SunSport, Rangnick also wants to bolster the midfield in January.

      The club have renewed their interest in Aston Villa ace John McGinn – but he would likely cost at least £50m.
      And RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara is expected to be Rangnick’s first signing once the Red Devils trigger his £32m release clause.
      That would see the two new signings line up in midfield together.
      It would also spell the end of ‘McFred’ – Fred and Scott McTominay – to the delight of many United supporters.
      The vocal Twitter fans wasted no time in blasting Rangnick when his first team sheet was announced to face Crystal Palace, featuring the defensive midfield duo.
      Elsewhere, David De Gea is expected to remain as the No1 in goal with Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire the first-choice centre-back pairing.
      At full-back, it could be either Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Diogo Dalot at right-back and Alex Telles or Luke Shaw on the left.

      Then depending on what formation Rangnick opts for, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho could support the strikers.
      Marcus Rashford is another option.
      Ronaldo could be brought wider to have Haaland on his own through the middle – or the five-time Ballon d’Or winner might be dropped altogether to allow Rashford, Fernandes and Sancho to operate behind the Norwegian.
