MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly eyeing a move for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.Incoming boss Erik ten Hag is planning a summer rebuild at United and it appears he is targeting players he has worked with previously.

De Ligt played under Ten Hag at Ajax before departing in 2019 but the Dutch pair could reunite at Old Trafford.
Journalist Oriol Domenech told colleague Gerard Romero on his Twitch stream that Ten Hag is looking to strike deals for De Ligt and his former team-mate Frenkie de Jong.
The duo were key to Ten Hag’s Ajax side that reached the Champions League semi-final in 2019.
But both could now be available for sale with De Jong’s Barcelona looking to raise funds and De Ligt struggling for consistency in Turin.

United have prioritised midfield upgrades with Paul Pogba likely following Nemanja Matic out of the club this summer.
The Red Devils are reportedly 95 per cent likely to sign De Jong this summer and appear to be closing in on a £70million deal.
