But according to Portuguese reporter Pedro Sepulveda, United aren’t ready to give up on signing the Uruguayan.

MANCHESTER UNITED and Newcastle are set to compete for Brighton attacker Leandro Trossard, according to reports.The Belgian has attracted plenty of interest with his performances for Graham Potter’s side last term.

According to Belgian outlet RTBF, Man United and Newcastle would like to sign Trossard this summer.
The attacking midfielder has just one year remaining on his Seagulls contract.

And according to reporter Gerard Romero, De Jong has an empty locker at Barca, causing even more speculation.
Some United fans are convinced it means the Dutchman is ready to reunite with old Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag, who won the Dutch league with De Jong in 2019, is keen to bring the playmaker to Old Trafford this summer.
And United are preparing their opening bid for the 25-year-old, according to Marca.
De Jong joined Barca in 2019 for £65m but has so far only won the Copa Del Ray with them.
And many believe with just 13 goals in 139 matches, he has not lived up to expectations.
But De Jong puts it down to playing out of position, telling NOS: “I like to be the first player to receive the ball from the defenders.
“In the national team I play differently compared to Barca. And I think this one fits me better.”

Now Akanji’s representatives are looking for a move to the Premier League and are targeting Arsenal as potential buyers.

Man United need to sign Ajax ace Jurrien Timber to get the club to a higher level.
That’s the opinion of former Ajax star Marciano Vink, who reckons United are lacking the quality Timber will provide.
Vink told ESPN: “He’s a good defender but most of all he anticipates really well.

Tottenham close in on Torres
Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a part-exchange deal with Villarreal for defender Pau Torres.
The deal will see Torres move to White Hart Lane in place of Giovani Lo Celso, who will make his loan switch to the La Liga side permanent, according to Sky Italia.

CHELSEA and Manchester United are set to fight it out over PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Sangare ahead of the summer transfer window.That is according to a report from Sky Sports that claims that the Premier League duo are eyeing Sangare, who is believed to have a €35million (£30m) release clause in his contract.
