MANCHESTER UNITED legend Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to his former teammate Marcelo after his Real Madrid departure.The 34-year-old’s contract runs out this month and he has decided to seek a new challenge elsewhere after 15 years at the club.

The Brazilian is set to get a stunning send-off after helping them to the domestic title and Champions League glory this term with an official farewell ceremony planned for tomorrow.
Ronaldo moved to Madrid in 2009 and spent nine seasons playing alongside the Samba star.
And the pair developed a strong friendship away from the pitch during their time together at the Bernabeu.
Now, after Madrid officially confirmed Marcelo’s departure, the Portuguese forward has taken to Twitter to hail the full-back.

Erling Haaland has hilariously joked that Riyad Mahrez convinced him to join Manchester City.
Last year, a clip emerged of the pair partying in Mykonos during their summer breaks.

The Gunners have confirmed that the 19-year-old has penned a “long-term contract” after joining from Sao Paulo.

Manchester City have this morning confirmed the signing of Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.

The newspaper report that the Reds will pay Benfica an initial €75m, followed by a further €5m once he has played ten games for the club.
Should Nunez go on to make 60 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s team then another €10m will be due.
The final €10m rests on collective and individual milestones achieved during the forward’s time at Anfield.
Should Liverpool end up paying the full €100m – approximately £85m – then it will eclipse the club record £75m that they paid for Virgil van Dijk in 2018.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Italian giants are “more than confident” that they can come to an agreement with Pogba and his representatives in the next few days.
The midfielder is expected to receive around £130,000-a-week when he re-signs for the ‘Old Lady’ – a significant pay cut from the £290,000 he reportedly earns at Man Utd.
Pogba enjoyed a successful four-year spell at Juventus earlier in his career.
In 178 appearances across all competitions he recorded 74 goal contributions and helped the club to four Serie A titles.

MANCHESTER UNITED could make a shock swoop for Roma striker Tammy Abraham after missing out on signing Darwin Nunez, according to reports.The Red Devils were prepared to hijack Liverpool’s bid for Nunez, 22, however, it was claimed that the striker preferred the idea of a move to Anfield.
