    Brazil sensation Joao Gomes reveals ‘greatest desire’ to seal Liverpool transfer… after Man Utd sent scouts to watch him

    However, it was reported that United’s representatives were more impressed by their own player Andreas Pereira.
    And now Gomes has confirmed he would actually prefer to play for their rivals Liverpool.
    He was asked on a live stream whether he wants to move to the Premier League one day – and if so then what team would he want to join.
    To which he replied: “Liverpool are a team I’d play for.

    “I have the greatest desire to play. Playing in the Champions League is my biggest dream and that of my family. My biggest dream in football.”
    Despite being just 21, Gomes has already made 93 appearances for Flamengo.
    He has scored twice for the Brazilian outfit and also contributed three assists.
    Liverpool could well be enticed into signing Gomes if the price is right.

    His market value is thought to be around £32million.
    Jurgen Klopp’s side are reportedly interested in bringing in a new central midfielder this summer if they can find the right fit.

    Man Utd’s £70m transfer offer to Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong EXPIRES in yet another huge blow to Erik ten Hag

    MANCHESTER UNITED have suffered another major blow in their pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.The Red Devils had a £70million offer accepted for the 25-year-old Dutch midfielder last month.

    But De Jong’s reluctance to move to Old Trafford and Barcelona’s inability to pay him £14.5m in outstanding wages has held up the deal.
    And, according to de Telegraaf podcast Kick Off, United’s offer has now expired.
    This looks set to open the door for Chelsea to complete a deal for the Holland international.
    New Blues owner Todd Boehly had been hoping to hijack the De Jong transfer and is now in a perfect position to do so.

    Boehly will be optimistic about completing a fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella.
    Meanwhile, Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag is desperate to bring in De Jong after a disastrous start to the season.
    United’s new manager watched his side lose 2-1 to Brighton on the opening weekend.
    And they were then humiliated by Brentford as Ten Hag’s men went down 4-0 before half-time.

    Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon, Chelsea and both Milan clubs were mentioned, however a move for Ronaldo hasn’t materialised at this point.
    But a move away for Ronaldo could be made easier with Ten Hag now OPEN to letting the Portugal star leave the club, according to The Athletic.
    Ronaldo has struggled to reintegrate back into the squad following his extended summer time off.

    There have been days where Ronaldo sits by himself during lunch at the canteen at their Carrington training ground.
    Ronaldo has also been flapping his arms about in training and trying to argue against the high-pressing approach implemented by Ten Hag.  
    And following Man Utd’s embarrassing 4-0 loss to Brentford on Saturday, Ronaldo exchanged words with Ten Hag’s No2 Steve McClaren.
    The exchange happened after Ronaldo refused to applaud United’s travelling fans.

    Juventus star Adrien Rabiot appears to CONFIRM transfer to Man Utd in cryptic video with football fan

    ADRIEN RABIOT appears to have confirmed he will be joining Manchester United. The French star was filmed by a fan with the video seemingly confirming his move to Old Trafford.

    Rabiot, 27, has been linked with a £15million move to Man United from Serie A side Juventus.
    And following United football director John Murtough’s visit to Turin to finalise the deal, it now appears to be all but complete.

    Murtough jetted off to Italy last week to negotiate Rabiot’s contract details with his agent and mum Veronique.
    The talks reportedly went well, and now the video which has emerged today appears to show the fruits of that labour from the two parties.

    The Red Devils were 4-0 down inside 35 minutes, the quickest they have ever conceded four goals in the Premier League era.

    Bailly’s wages could be a stumbling block and may hold up a potential deal.

    Interested teams would reportedly like to take the defender on loan, with United still paying a portion of his wages.
    But the Red Devils are willing to stretch the saga until deadline day in an attempt to find a permanent bidder.

    But his wages were supposed to rise considerably from this season, which would explain why the club is willing to let him go.
