Chelsea one of three clubs leading transfer chase for Endrick as Man Utd fall behind in bid to land Brazilian wonderkid

MANCHESTER UNITED have fallen behind in the transfer race to sign Endrick. The Brazilian wonderkid is being monitored by a number of European heavyweights ahead of a potential transfer.

Such names include financial powerhouses Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.
And according to Fabrizio Romano, the trio are all “pushing hard” to sign Endrick.
No official bids have been sent to Palmeiras yet, although Romano is reporting a bid will be submitted soon.
The 16-year-old has a release clause worth £52million, but cannot join any club overseas until 2024.

Endrick’s agent Frederico Pena explained the reasoning behind this.
He said: “He has to play for Palmeiras until he turns 18. Consequently, he’ll play at Palmeiras for at least 22 more months.
“Endrick’s contract with Palmeiras runs until July 2025… He can only move abroad from Brazil from July 2024. No player under the age of 18 can move abroad. He can be sold, but he cannot be transferred.
“In other words, a club comes here, they do a deal with Palmeiras. But he can’t leave. He has to stay at Palmeiras even though he’s already been sold.”

Pena also squashed rumours of an agreement with Real Madrid, which had given Man Utd a boost to their own hopes of signing the teenager.
And Endrick fuelled this speculation further by copying the new celebration of Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring a goal during his last game.
Endrick shot to fame in Brazil following a meteoric rise in the Palmeiras academy where he scored a staggering 165 goals. More

Bellingham, 19, is a priority signing for Real Madrid – although Liverpool have taken steps to put themselves in pole position.
According to ESPN, Jurgen Klopp’s side are building a “close relationship” with the midfielder’s representatives.
They add that Liverpool are working hard on a “framework” for the deal.
Bellingham is under contract in Germany for another two-and-a-half years – although Dortmund are likely to let him go either in January or more likely next summer.
    READ MORE ON LIVERPOOL
It is suggested that it could take a fee in the region of £130million to snap up the Three Lions ace.
Liverpool opted against making a big splash in the transfer market for a midfielder last summer – instead choosing to wait for Bellingham.
They decided to keep Naby Keita for the last year of his contract, while signing Arthur Melo on loan.
Spanish paper Marca claim that Real Madrid have received assurances that Bellingham wants to play for them.

But the Spanish champions would not be able to afford the package that Liverpool are putting together.
Chelsea are also set to be in the mix, with Todd Boehly eager to sign Bellingham.
Despite the American’s spending power, however, the Blues find themselves behind in the race at present.
Manchester United have also been mentioned as Bellingham suitors in the past, but are not at the front of the queue. More

And winger Garnacho will be hoping his recent good form will earn him a place in Erik Ten Hag’s starting XI this weekend.
The Spaniard was on target in the Red Devils’ Europa League triumph over Real Sociedad on Thursday night – scoring the only goal of the game.
The 18-year-old’s display in the Basque Country has made a solid case for him to start against the Villans.
Another Red Devil who made a strong case to start at Villa Park is club skipper Harry Maguire.

The England international returned to the starting XI in last weekend’s 1-0 victory over West Ham and also featured in the win over Sociedad.
Maguire turned in a steady performance worthy of retaining his place in the starting XI.
The 29-year-old’s back-to-back starts against the Hammers and Sociedad came after he was dropped from the XI following United’s horror shows against Brighton and Brentford in August.
Victory at the Reale Arena wasn’t enough for United top Group E, meaning Ten Hag’s troops will have to go into a playoff against a demoted team from this year’s Champions League.

He said: “You do not always get what you deserve.
“That’s always football. The first leg, you get a penalty that isn’t a penalty. Today we win. So I’m happy with that.”
Ten Hag said of Garnacho’s strike: “Some other things like the performance from Garnacho, Donny back in the team, we made a really good goal.
“But, of course, we are disappointed because we didn’t score the two goals we need.
“Antony was not available, Anthony Martial was not available, Jadon Sancho was not available, so it’s thin, and I am really happy with Garnacho’s performance.

And the European disaster could see Atletico sell a number of top stars in January.
Atletico are in desperate need of cash following their elimination from the Champions League which has huge financial implications.
So much so, Spanish outlet Cadena SER claim Atletico are willing to listen to offers for Man Utd target Felix, who joined the club in 2019 for around £113million from Benfica.
Felix has not been featuring as regularly as he would like at the Wanda Metropolitano this season and his relationship with boss Diego Simeone has soured.

Atletico had previously considered the player “untouchable” after United approached them over a mega-money summer transfer.

Man Utd keeper De Gea makes incredible double save including deflecting ball away with his HEAD vs Real Sociedad

MANCHESTER UNITED are once again indebted to David de Gea after a superb double save against Real Sociedad. With United leading thanks to Alejandro Garnacho’s opener, Real were pushing for an equaliser.

And they almost found it when a dipping volley was fired towards the bottom far corner, with De Gea just about able to get a hand on it and push the ball away.
However, his work was not done as he reacted to try and smother a follow up shot.
Miraculously he managed to prevent an equaliser as the ball cannoned off of his face and over the bar.
While United have looked more defensively solid this season. the loss of Raphael Varane has seen United’s foundations wobble in recent weeks.

This has led to De Gea needing to put in a string of top class performances in order to win games.
The game against West Ham is one such example.
A fine pair of saves against West Ham ensured United secured three points against the Hammers.
The first saw De Gea deny Kurt Zouma from close range with a superb diving save.

This was then followed up by a last minute pile driver from Declan Rice which was destined for the top corner were it not for De Gea’s reaching hand.
In addition, De Gea appears to have improved his distribution since Erik ten Hag’s arrival, which has been a common criticism of his time at United.
United needed to win by two clear goals in order to avoid a potential horror draw in the round of 32.
And while De Gea’s heroics helped them to keep a clean sheet, The Red Devils were unable to find a second and consequently came second in their group. More

And after the Red Devils’ starlet added a hint of a Ronaldo-style “Siuu” celebration, fans on social media seemed as excited as him by his perfect moment.
One posted: “Imagine that your first goal as a professional is at 18 years of age, with the Manchester United shirt, in a European competition and it happens to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is your greatest idol in the world of football. The kid Alejandro Garnacho fulfilled the ultimate dream. EPIC.”
That said it all but another observer tweeted: “Great finish by Garnacho. Why on earth did Man Utd ever waste so much money on the over-rated Sancho when they’ve got this lad? He’s better than Sancho.”
This message spoke for many too: “What a moment that is for Alejandro Garnacho… The timing of the run and the finish is brilliant, the pass from Cristiano Ronaldo is also perfect, weighted to perfection and Garnacho scores. Superb goal from Manchester United.”

One fan noted: “Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first Manchester United goal before Alejandro Garnacho was born.”

And although Ron is struggling to tie down a regular start in the Premier League this season, he showed on Thursday that he could be turning back time while Garnacho winds it forward.
As one supporter posted: “Not a bad pass that from CR7 and what a finish from Garnacho.”
