The right-back left the South London club in the summer of 2019 in a £50 million switch to Old Trafford.
However, the transfer has not fully gone to plan as he has struggled to cement himself as Manchester United’s first choice in the position.
Wan-Bissaka was rumoured with a return to Selhurst Park in the summer but no move materialised, but links to Palace have not gone away.
Vieira admitted that the player is still “loved by fans” but refused to go further in a potential deal.

He said: “Listen, he is a Man United player. We have to respect that and there’s nothing more to say about that.
“He is a good player, there is no doubt about that. He’s related to this football club, and I think he’s been loved by the fans.
“But again, he’s a United player. I hope we’re going to be busy [in January].
“We always work hard to try to improve the squad but we know how tough and difficult it is to find the players to improve the team.

“We are quite short on numbers but it is important to find the right players.”
However, a potential move could prove difficult due to the player’s wages, so it is more likely any move would have to be a loan.
But despite the 25-year-old only making one appearance in the Premier League this season, Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag believes he still has a future at the club.
He said: “Aaron Wan-Bissaka has a future. He has had some good years at Man United but from the start of this season, he has had a lot of illnesses and injuries.
“From the restart on, he is fit, so he could train with the team and you see him progressing”.
If United did decide to part ways with Wan-Bissaka he would have options as Wolves and West Ham have also been reported to be interested in his signature. More

Sancho has been training alone in Holland with coaches recommended by United boss Erik ten Hag, who doesn’t foresee him being available for the visit of Forest next week.
When asked if he thinks the England international will feature in the match, Ten Hag said: “I don’t think so.”
Ten Hag recently revealed Sancho – who has taken a break from social media – was struggling both physically and mentally.
The Dutchman said: “I don’t think he will be back this week, no.

“We want to bring him back as quickly as possible, but I can’t give a prognosis of when that will be.
“Sometimes there are circumstances with fitness and mood.
“We got a drop in quality level and sometimes you don’t know why or what is causing it.
“That is what we are doing now to try to get him back there. It is a combination of physically and mentally.”

The former Ajax chief has brought in sports psychologist Rainier Koers to work with his players.
Ten Hag said of Koers: “He is here continually the whole season working in the coaching staff, working with the squad but also with the staff and departments.
“That’s his job to get the right spirit in the individual and the team.”
United could find themselves six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham before they take on Forest.

And Ten Hag admits he’s under pressure to guide the Red Devils back to the top four, saying: “I accept how it is, I accept that pressure.
“But also for the manager of Chelsea and of Newcastle United, those clubs who have invested a lot in their squad.
“It’s big pressure for all of us to get into the top four.

How Man Utd could line up on Premier League return against Nottingham Forest with fears over defensive injury crisis

MANCHESTER UNITED have a host of defensive injury worries ahead of their return to Premier League action. The Red Devils beat Burnley 2-0 on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup thanks to goals from Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford.

However, England centre-half and club captain Harry Maguire was absent for that clash due to illness.
And with both Argentinian World Cup winner Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, whose France were beaten in the final on penalties, still absent, that leaves Erik ten Hag with a dilemma.
Axel Tuanzebe, 25, remains sidelined with a long-term problem while Teden Mengi is also out, and it seems that Phil Jones is not even under consideration by his manager.
That could lead to Casemiro being deployed there again versus Forest for United like he was against the Clarets – although with a lack of first-team opportunities, Maguire will be desperate to try and grasp his opportunity if physically able.

Academy defender Rhys Bennett was named on the bench as defensive back-up in midweek, and he could be on it again depending on the club captain.
And just to make matters worse, Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot is also a doubt, which will likely lead to Aaron Wan-Bissaka getting a second-consecutive start.
Ten Hag said: “[Martinez] has been celebrating in Buenos Aires and I can understand that. It’s the highest you can achieve.
“But also, Lisandro Martinez has to accept on the 27th the Premier League will go on.

“Of course [Varane] is disappointed about losing but I think also he can be proud that he was again in that final [having won the 2018 World Cup], and of all that he achieved already in his career.”
Jadon Sancho, who was put on an individual fitness programme during the World Cup, is still not back at Old Trafford and will not be in consideration for the game.
But Brazilians Antony and Fred came off the bench in midweek and look likely to start with Bruno Fernandes, Rashford and Anthony Martial likely to form the attack.
Luke Shaw also appeared as a sub against Burnley, and he seems almost certain to come in at left-back.

Liverpool were big admirers of the 21-year-old Fernandez before his stellar Qatar 2022 displays.
But his performances in the Middle East have now convinced United boss Erik ten Hag that he is the right man needed to bolster his own side.
As reported earlier this week, both teams will have to shatter the Premier League’s  £100million record transfer fee to snap-up his services next month.
That is due to Benfica having no desire to sell him for any less than his mammoth £105m release clause.

Now  UOL Esporte are claiming that United are willing to meet that figure – putting them in front of their Anfield rivals in the transfer chase.
The publication’s journalist Bruno Andrade added that “talks are ongoing” between all parties involved.

And it reiterates that United will meet the huge £105m asking price in order to “avoid any competition” from elsewhere.
Fernandez only arrived at Benfica from River Plate last summer but his international captain Lionel Messi admitted that he is not surprised so many clubs are keen on the World Cup’s Young Player of the Tournament.

Two teams in the running to sign unemployed Cristiano Ronaldo after Man Utd axe including £173million offer

The forward claimed he felt United had “betrayed” him and revealed he had “no respect” for Erik ten Hag.
Things did not improve for him during the World Cup as he was also shunned by national team boss Fernando Santos.
After starting all three group matches, Ronaldo was confined to a role coming off the bench in the knockout stages.
The former Real Madrid star was upstaged by Goncalo Ramos, who took his chance to score a spectacular hat-trick against Switzerland in a 6-1 win.

That left him to start as a sub again in the quarter-final before being unable to change the game after coming on as they were beaten 1-0 by Morocco.
Now, while he continues to keep in top physical condition, he is deciding on his next club but there has been a serious lack of “viable” offers from top European clubs.
As Sun Sport previously revealed, The Times have stated that he has an offer worth £173million on the table from Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr.
They also claim that he is “expected to join them” – although Sun Sport understands he has not accepted a contract from them yet.

This fresh update also states that he has another deal on the table to move to the Qatar Stars League.
However, “though the financial terms on offer are understood to be inferior to those presented by their Gulf neighbour and rival” in Saudi.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus frontman is tipped to make up his mind within days with him preferring to stay in Europe.
Chelsea and Ron’s old club Sporting Lisbon were rated as possible destinations before Portugal’s disappointing World Cup.
Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Juve have been mentioned since the summer but none of the above have been forthcoming since his release. More

Arsenal ‘pushing’ to sign France ace Adrien Rabiot from Juventus after move to Man Utd fell through

Unfortunately for him and his compatriots there was heartbreak in store as they were defeated 4-2 by Argentina in the showpiece on Sunday.
However, big things could still be on the horizon for Rabiot as he appears to be finally closing in on a move to the Premier League after his failed switch to Manchester United last summer.
Repubblica are claiming Arsenal are now pushing to sign Rabiot in the January transfer window.
The playmaker’s contract expires in June and he is allowed to discuss terms with teams outside of Italy from January 1.

But rather than lose him for nothing, Juventus are more likely willing to offload him for a cut-price fee mid-season.
And it appears the opportunistic Gunners are ready to pounce to try and bolster their midfield.
Mikel Arteta’s team were left decimated by injury towards the end of last season which led to them missing out on Champions League football.
Now, with his squad sitting top of the Premier League, he is determined not to let the same happen again and he eyes reinforcements to continue their title charge.

Rabiot ended his nine-year stint at Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, which included a loan spell at Toulouse, to join Juventus.

Man Utd star Scott McTominay laughs off claims he was ‘bullying’ Alejandro Garnacho after booting hat away in training

SCOTT MCTOMINAY has laughed off claims he was “bullying” Manchester United team-mate Alejandro Garnacho. Back in November, ahead of United’s clash with Real Sociedad, the 26-year-old was pictured swiping a woolly hat from Garnacho’s head before booting it away.

However, some fans were not happy with the move and labelled McTominay a “bully.”
But the midfielder has insisted it was simply a joke – and revealed another tactic behind the move.
Speaking to The Athletic, a laughing McTominay said: “I had a lot of people saying that was bullying!
“That was just a bit of a joke.

“But he needs to keep his feet on the ground and keep working hard and he can be one hell of a footballer.”
And it seemed to pay dividends when days later Garnacho provided an assist from McTominay in United’s 4-2 victory over Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.
The 18-year-old has rocketed into prominence this season under Erik ten Hag.
He has scored two goals and provided an additional pair of assists in nine games and was back in action as United beat Burnley 2-0 in the Carabao Cup.

“At the beginning of the season, not at his best, on the pre-season tour he didn’t have the best attitude that he should have and that’s why he didn’t get his chances until now.
“He didn’t get his chances before because he was not good enough in training and not good enough mentality-wise.
