The Portuguese superstar, 37, claimed he wanted to play Champions League but has ended up in the Saudi Pro League.
And when asked what he thought of Ronaldo’s decision to sign for Al Nassr, United boss Ten Hag delivered a brutal snub.
He said: “I don’t talk about the past. Let’s talk about the future.”
Ronaldo had said he felt betrayed by United and did not respect Dutchman Ten Hag in a controversial TalkTV interview with Piers Morgan.

Al Nassr played for the first time since Friday’s announcement at Al Khaleej, winning 1-0 to go top of the league.
Reports last night claim Ronaldo could face Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain in an all-star friendly against a combined XI from Saudi sides Al Nassr and Al Hilal.
Meanwhile Rio Ferdinand, a team-mate of Ronaldo during his first spell at Old Trafford, defended his decision to make the switch to Saudi.
He said: “For any footballer at whatever level, happiness and the environment you’re playing in is one of the most important things.

“He hasn’t been happy for a while so I’m pleased he’s on the verge of finding that happiness and going on to pastures new, albeit in a country that not many people expected him to go.
“There’s only two sad things for me. The way it ended at Man Utd, I’m sad about that.
“The way the World Cup ended for him, a tinge of sadness, in terms of being on the bench, not having a huge impact in his last one.
“But this next chapter going to Saudi Arabia, how do you look at that as a sadness? A sad way to end his career? I don’t understand how people are saying that.” More

Rio Ferdinand urges Harry Maguire to LEAVE Man Utd after defender benched again for Wolves game

Maguire, 29, was in exceptional form for England at the World Cup, helping his side reach the quarters before being knocked out by France.
However, the centre-back’s performances were not enough to win over Erik ten Hag, who dropped his skipper from United’s XI earlier this season.
And Maguire was kept on the bench in Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, with left-back Luke Shaw preferred next to Raphael Varane.
Maguire was once again made to watch United from the sideline as they earned a hard-fought win over Wolves at Molineux.

And former United star Ferdinand, who also played at centre-back, has urged Maguire to find himself a new club instead of wasting his prime years on the bench.
Ferdinand told BT Sport: “It raised eyebrows when you saw Lindelof and Maguire on the bench.
“It shows what Ten Hag thinks of those two guys.
“If I’m Harry Maguire, I’m looking for a new club right now. He’s faultless for England, but at United it hasn’t worked out for him.

“This new manager is showing him he’s not going to be one of the top two centre-backs.
“I’d be telling my agent to go and find me a new club where I can play regularly and enjoy my football.”
Maguire joined United from Leicester in 2019 for £70million, going on to play 154 times.
But despite being a starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, Maguire has struggled for minutes with Ten Hag at the helm.
Varane and Lisandro Martinez are both ahead of Maguire in the pecking order, with Shaw now seemingly preferred too.
And with United linked with Napoli’s Kim Min-jae, Maguire could soon find opportunities even harder to come by. More

Manager Erik ten Hag said Rashford dropping to the substitutes bench was for disciplinary reasons.
In-form Rashford’s disciplinary lasted just 45 minutes, though.
He was brought on before the start of the second half for teenage sensation Alejandro Garnacho.
And the Red Devils star scored the winner, after playing a clever one-two with Bruno Fernandes.

Rashford thought he had a brace late on, but it was ruled out for a handball.
After the game, Rashford revealed the reason behind being dropped.
The goal scorer overslept and was late for a team meeting, and despite being “disappointed” by Ten Hag’s decision, Rashford insists he is no exception to “team rules”.
He explained to BT Sport: “Team rules, it is a mistake that can happen.

“Obviously disappointed not to play but I understand the decision.
“I am happy we managed to win the game, I was a little bit late for a meeting, I slept in, it can happen.”
Ten Hag has praised Rashford for showing the right attitude to come back from his mistake.
Rashford showed the opposite of “mental weakness” – an issue Ten Hag identified in the team before taking over in the summer.
Ten Hag said on Rashford’s reaction: “He was bright, he was lively, he score a goal, that is the right reaction.
“Everyone has to match rules and values and if you react like this, it is the right answer.”
The goal has taken Rashford’s goal tally to ten across all competitions this season.
And the goal handed United three valuable points, which pushed Ten Hag’s men into the top four.

As a result, he looked a shoo-in to start at Molineux.
But he was surprisingly on the bench with Erik ten Hag later confirming it was due to disciplinary reasons.

“He is in very good shape and nobody can play every game.”

Despite being dropped, with United drawing 0-0 following an underwhelming first half showing, Rashford was introduced at the break in place to Alejandro Garnacho.
And he repaid his manager’s faith by bagging the deciding goal in a 1-0 win that saw them leapfrog Tottenham into the top four.
Rashford confirmed after the victory that he was punished after he OVERSLEPT and was late to a team meeting.
And supporters have been reacting on social media to Ten Hag’s decision to bring him on after initially leaving him out.

A third: “Terrible management from Ten Hag. Dropped Rashford only to bring him on at half time. Arteta showed how to deal with these things properly with Aubameyang.”
But ultimately, Ten Hag’s decision paid off after Rashford put United in front late when he slammed home from close-range.
And had it not been for a VAR-overturned handball, Rashford would have scored twice.
Unfortunately, the ball accidently deflected onto his arm from Jose Sa’s save from his first effort and it was ruled out.
Regardless, his goal proved the winner as United held on for a 1-0 victory. More
