Man Utd outcast Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be thrown January transfer lifeline by Wolves as four clubs circle

WOLVES are weighing up whether to hand Manchester United’s £50million misfit Aaron Wan-Bissaka a lifeline in the January transfer window.Julen Lopetegui is interested in the 25-year-old right-back after Erik ten Hag made it clear he is available for transfer.

Wan-Bissaka, who was signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019, has managed just four minutes of action for United this season as a late sub for Diogo Dalot against Liverpool in August.
However, Ten Hag clearly doesn’t rate the right-back, who was called up to the senior squad by Gareth Southgate for Euro qualifiers against Kosovo and Bulgaria in his debut season at Old Trafford, only to withdraw with a back injury.
Since then Wan-Bissaka’s stock has dropped dramatically and United are ready to cut their losses by offloading the tough-tackling full-back.
His former club Crystal Palace, as well as Leeds and West Ham, have shown interest in a loan deal with an option for a permanent cut-price deal.

But Wolves are also looking at their options with Jonny Castro Otto currently sidelined through injury, while Nelson Semedo has struggled for consistency.
Lopetegui sees Wan-Bissaka, who has made 127 appearances for United, as the athletic, experienced operator he could use but is also exploring alternative options.
Although he wants to shore up his defence, the Spaniard’s first priority is to source a reliable striker.
The Wolves side he inherited has managed a miserly eight goals in their opening 15 Premier League games.

SunSport revealed United will allow Wan-Bissaka back to Palace, if a deal can be reached.
Patrick Vieira would take their former defender back but a loan move is the only way he can afford him – and that will take some negotiating.
Palace may have to pick up all of Wan-Bissaka’s £80,000-a-week wages, making it an expensive deal even without having to pay a transfer fee.
Wan-Bissaka will also want his long-term future sorted, adding a further complication to negotiating a return to Selhurst Park.

Ultimately, the Red Devils ended up signing Anthony instead, with Gakpo staying in Holland.
But SunSport revealed earlier this month that United were ready to make their move when the transfer window reopens for business.
And the Telegraph are now claiming they’re readying a £43.1m offer.
United are desperate to add to their forward line as Cristiano Ronaldo’s axe has left them short.

And Ten Hag is said to be prioritising an attacker in the upcoming window.
He said: “Yes, we want to sign a forward in January but only when we find the right player.
“We will do everything in our power.”
Gakpo is enjoying a fine season with PSV, registering an astonishing 30 goal contributions in just 24 games.

But the 23-year-old’s stock has grown even further recently after he shone at the World Cup.
Holland might have suffered penalty heartache to Argentina in the quarter-finals, but Gakpo had already made his mark.
He scored in every group match, including a fine strike against Qatar.
United are also said to be interested in Portugal star Goncalo Ramos.
The Benfica striker replaced Ronaldo in the side for the last 16 tie with Switzerland and marked his full debut with a devastating hat-trick.

SunSport has picked out 11 Qatar heroes who may have secured big-money moves in the New Year thanks to their performances at the World Cup…
Cody Gakpo, 23, PSV & Holland
Arguably the most obvious choice of all, Gakpo was the main man for Holland with goals in all three group games to fire them to the top of Group A.
He is currently tearing it up for PSV in his homeland but is a primary target for compatriot Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

The axe of Cristiano Ronaldo means another forward is needed – but the Red Devils have been warned it will take a record fee for PSV to sell.
Goncalo Ramos, 21, Benfica & Portugal
Talk about hitting the ground running – Ramos hit a superb hat-trick on his full international debut after replacing Cristiano Ronaldo.
And immediately the transfer rumour mill started spinning in overdrive.
Manchester United are considering a swoop for the Benfica man with 14 goals and six assists for his club this term – but they face competition from Newcastle and Bayern Munich.

Josko Gvardiol, 20, RB Leipzig & Croatia
Yes he was linked with Chelsea in the summer before they landed Wesley Fofana – but Gvardiol’s stock has gone through the roof after his performances in Qatar.
Gvardiol – the masked defender – was rarely beaten and proved a dominant force, helping Croatia reach the semis before Lionel Messi weaved his magic.
Chelsea lead the race for a January deal although Manchester City and Real Madrid are also weighing up bids.

Sofyan Amrabat, 26, Fiorentina & Morocco
Amrabat was arguably Morocco’s standout player in a team of record-breaking heroes with his dominant displays in midfield.
His game against Spain was particularly impressive and has got plenty of clubs taking notice of former Watford man Nordin’s younger brother.
Secret talks have already taken place with Liverpool – but Nordin wants his sibling to join PSG.

Enzo Fernandez, 21, Benfica & Argentina
The central midfielder has been a key cog in Argentina’s run to the final in Qatar, breaking up play and helping deliver the ball for the attack to cause chaos.
Liverpool are said to have “agreed” a deal with Benfica for the rising star, who is also a target for City, United and Wolves.
However, recent reports state Fernandez has a staggering £104million release clause in his contract.

Mohammed Kudus, 22, Ajax & Ghana
The attacking midfielder was poised to join Everton in the summer before a late deal fell through – and he proved what the Toffees were missing at the World Cup.
Kudus scored twice in the thrilling win over South Korea and bolstered his reputation – then declared he is no worse than Neymar.
Everton look to be in pole position over a £40m transfer to England with the likes of Tottenham and Barcelona also circling.

Youssoufa Moukoko, 18, Borussia Dortmund & Germany
Somehow Moukoko has only just turned 18, having burst on to the scene with Borussia Dortmund what feels like years ago.
Now a first-team regular with 11 goals in 59 appearances, he was named in Hansi Flick’s Germany squad – and left as one of the few to come away with much credit.
Despite only coming on in the 90th minute in the Japan defeat, Moukoko is wanted by some of Europe’s elite as Chelsea and Barca on a cut-price deal with his contract ending in the summer.

Azzedine Ounahi, 22, Angers & Morocco
Let’s be honest, not too many outside of France and Morocco had heard much about Ounahi four weeks ago.
But his brilliance for the Atlas Lions in Qatar thrust him onto the world stage.
Leicester were the first club linked with making a £39m bid to Angers for the box-to-box midfielder but West Ham and Newcastle may rival the Foxes for his signature.

Dominik Livakovic, 27, Dinamo Zagreb & Croatia
There were question marks over the Croatian goalkeeper situation heading to Qatar – but now it is simply exclamation marks instead.
Livakovic kept clean sheets against Morocco and Belgium before saving a record four penalties in the shootout wins over Japan and Brazil.
He could have joined United or Nottingham Forest in the summer but now Leeds are leading the race after Bayern pulled out.

Souttar was a colossus at the heart of the Socceroos defence.
He played a key role in the Aussies reaching the knockout stages where they were beaten by Argentina.
Now back with Championship side Stoke, the club he joined from Dundee in 2016, and fully fit after his ACL injury in 2021, he will surely be snapped up by a Premier League club in the New Year – but the Potters want £25m.

The game has also been chosen to be broadcast live on ITV.
Everton have been given an away allocation of 9,000 tickets for the bumper showdown.
However, the cost of them has left them fuming.
And they have now called on both the Football Association and English Football League to follow the Premier League’s example by introducing a price cap for their cup competitions.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
Everton’s supporters groups have come together to release a statement this morning.
It read: “Whilst we appreciate the generous allocation that will allow more than 9,000 Evertonians to support our team at the FA Cup third round tie at Old Trafford in January, we were shocked that Manchester United chose to raise the ticket price for away ticket 150 per cent (£30 to £45) of what the equivalent Premier League fixture would cost.
“The fixture will take place almost a year to the day one of their most prominent footballers was instrumental in raising £200,000 through the ‘Full Time Meals’ campaign (enough to fund 750,000 meals for FareShare) and against the backdrop of a national cost of living crisis.
“Such a pricing policy is a slap in the face to everyone who has campaigned for sensible and affordable ticketing pricing for visiting supporters, a campaign that resulted in the price of away tickets being capped at £30 for Premier League fixtures since the 2016-17 season.

“Earlier this year, all 20 Premier League clubs unanimously agreed to maintain this cap for the next three seasons, so it will not be revisited until 2025.
“For many years, prices for visiting supporters for FA Cup fixtures had to be agreed by both clubs, but an FA rule change in 2017 has allowed home clubs to charge more or less what they like.
“We’re now calling on the Football Association and English Football League to introduce a similar cap for FA Cup and League Cup fixtures and put the interests of supporters first.” More

Galaxy are used to having big names at the club such as David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ronaldo could be the next one.
    Sporting Lisbon
A club that could offer Ronaldo a return to Champions League football and be familiar would be his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon.

The 39-capped international has been linked with a move to England for years, with clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United both credited with an interest in him.
But it seems that Arsenal are now his most likely destination with the Metro suggesting that Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to win the race for him.
The Gunners tried to sign the midfielder in the summer but their bid of £42million rejected.
Lazio’s club president Claudio Lotito has been vocal about his wish to keep Milinkovic-Savic at the club and has been consistent about saying how highly valued he is at the Rome club.

“On the contrary, he is now worth €120m [£105m], not €100m [£88m]. Every month the price goes up.”

The 31-year-old has played every minute in the Premier League since Erik ten Hag arrived and has shown some fine form to help the Red Devils recover from a dreadful start.
But the Dutchman was recently unable to confirm whether De Gea will sign a contract extension.
His current deal expires at the end of the season.

“In this moment we only think about performing, we have a lot of games to go, so I don’t want to get that interfered by talks.”
As a result, Portuguese outlet A Bola claim United are still interested in Costa.

PSV Eindhoven’s £60m-rated attacker Cody Gakpo, 23, is one of his top transfer targets.
And his three goals at the World Cup for Holland have proven that he can do it on the big stage.
Ten Hag has been promised massive funds to rebuild United  – despite plans by the Glazers to sell the Red Devils – and it now appears his forward line is not the only thing he wants to bolster.
Corriere dello Sport are claiming that he has “directly” requested that the club target fight-back Dumfries.

The 26-year-old ace shone for the Netherlands at the World Cup and has impressed at the San Siro since his arrival from PSV in 2021.
Ten Hag has used Diogo Dalot in the full-back position this term and likes the Portuguese man.
However, it is stated that he wants extra competition after failing to be convinced by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

But that does not appear to be deterring United, who have allegedly already held talks with the player’s agent over a potential switch. More
