But just like it didn’t take Arsenal long to equalise after Rashford’s opener, United swiftly hit back.
Lisandro Martinez put his head on the line to beat Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard to the ball first, and his effort looped into the back of Ramsdale’s net.
It took a late Nketiah instinct strike from close range to snatch a 3-2 win and all three points.
The Hale End academy product turned Odegaard’s on-target shot in.

His touchline antics have been heavily criticised but Arteta has defiantly refused to tone it down.
And in Sunday’s all-important clash with Man Utd, Arteta was contesting every decision.

Ex-England international Matthew Upson believes Arteta is a talking point among referees.

Upson told BBC Radio 5Live: “I wonder if Arteta’s activity on the touchline has been a talking point among the referees for the last few games. I wouldn’t be surprised.”He was unbelievable in the game against Newcastle and he went too far.

“They are trying to make a point of him needing to tone it down a bit.

But as Arsenal did to Man Utd in the first half with an instant response, the Red Devils did the same.
World Cup winner Lisandro Martinez equalised for the visitors, sending a looping headed effort over Gabriel.
Nketiah then snatched the 3-2 win and three points for Arsenal right at the death.

A repeat of this fixture from earlier on in the season would see United cut the gap down to five points.
And despite Ten Hag being the only manager to get one over on Mikel Arteta in the Prem this season, United legend Neville believes his former team will NOT win the title.
The former defender-turned-pundit says United are “a little bit short upfront”, which rules them out of the title race.
Neville said on Sky Sports: “I don’t think they (Man Utd) are (in the mix for the title).

“I think they’re short compared to other teams. They are a little bit short upfront.
“You think about Weghorst coming in, he was a stop gap.
“The others seem to have more firepower, but United, from where they were at the start of the season, are in a really good position.”
Another one of United’s former captains has echoed Neville’s view.

Roy Keane says United’s performances are still below that of title challengers Arsenal.
Keane said: “United have had a difficult start to the season, it’s great to see their recovery.
“They are still behind Arsenal in terms of the level of performances and of course the points total.”
Neville doesn’t believe Arsenal will win the league either.
He reckons United will beat Arsenal to second with Manchester City retaining the title.
He said: “They won’t win the league. Manchester City will win the league, and I think Man Utd will finish second, and I know that will annoy Arsenal fans!
“I’d rather Arsenal win the league than Man City. I think it would be absolutely sensational for the Premier League.

Axel Disasi has been linked with a Monaco exitCredit: AFP
The 24-year-old was in action for France at the World Cup in Qatar, picking up a runners-up medal.
Didier Deschamps opted to field him at right-back for Les Bleus, although Disasi is naturally a centre-half by trade.
According to Telefoot, the Red Devils have launched an initial approach to sign Disasi from Monaco.
Having lost Disasi’s centre-back partner Benoit Badiashile to Chelsea for £35million earlier this month, the Ligue 1 side will not want to lose a second defender on the cheap.

Monaco will reportedly demand north of £44m for Disasi’s signature.
And United will face strong competition to complete a deal.
Bayern Munich are also in the race, having made Disasi a “priority target”.
The Bundesliga giants could look to partner him with French international team-mate Dayot Upamecano.

West Ham could demand around £100million to let Rice leave.

David de Gea willing to take Man Utd pay-cut to secure new long-term deal with keeper top earner on £375k-a-week at club

De Ge earns a whopping £375,000 a weekCredit: REX
The Spain star, 32, would love to stay way beyond that and is hoping for a minimum three-year extension if he can agree a new deal.
Now Old Trafford sources claim De Gea has told club bosses he is after security, rather than trying to hold them to ransom — and if that means slashing his wages, then he will do so.
He is currently the Reds’ top earner at around £375,000 a week and would have to take a drop of more than 25 per cent to get his wish.
Boss Erik ten Hag has assured the keeper he has his full backing and is not chasing a new No 1, despite links with Brentford’s David Raya.

De Gea hopes that by blinking first a deal can be done as he does not want contract talks heading into the summer.
And insiders claim United are equally confident of reaching an agreement for the man who has been at the club since June 2011.
De Gea must keep Arsenal at bay in today’s Emirates showdown.
United’s clashes with the Gunners were often fiery encounters when Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger were in the dugouts.

Ten Hag and Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta are unlikely to generate as many off-field headlines.
Yet De Gea does not see why the current gaffers should not slug it out for trophies over the next few years.
He said: “I hope so. We’re talking about one of the best managers in history, Sir Alex and Wenger from Arsenal.
“It’s different eras, different football but let’s see.
“Both teams have always been massive clubs, always playing to win trophies.
“So, it’s nice to play each other now with both teams in such good shape and playing well.”
Ten Hag has only been at United for six months but has transformed the club into title challengers for the first time since Fergie left in 2013.

And a nine-game winning run was only ended by Crystal Palace’s late equaliser on Tuesday.
Arsenal’s sole defeat came at Old Trafford in September but the rematch is a game United really need to win if they are to get in the title mix.
De Gea, who once made a record-equalling 14 saves when United won at the Emirates in 2017, knows it is a big ask but reckons it can be done.
He added: “We are playing well, competing very well, the team has a great spirit and we all want to win.
“The feeling is good. Arsenal are doing really well this season — but we have to go there and try to win the game.”

United must do so without midfielder Casemiro, who is suspended after his fifth booking of the season.
De Gea admitted: “He’s one of the best players in the team, so it’s going to be a big miss.” More
