The Red Devils want have been monitoring the situation at the Serie A club after the Italian giants were given a huge 15-point penalty for orchestrating a transfer scam over three seasons.
This could lead to a move for Chiesa, according to Calcio Mercato.
The Old Trafford side could see the Italy international as an upgrade on Jadon Sancho.
Should they sign Chiesa, it would free up in-form Marcus Rashford to become a specialised striker and play through the middle.

Juventus face a battle to qualify for the Champions League next season and miss out on the financial benefits that the competition brings due to their points penalty.
The Turin-based side is 14 points off the pace of Lazio and Inter Milan, who sit on 37 points in 3rd and 4th place respectively.

Juventus’ new CEO Maurizio Scanavino had admitted that the club is trying to appeal the penalty.
He said: “We consider this sentence absolutely unjust and unfair.
“In the coming days we await the reasons, which should arrive by the end of the month, but we will certainly appeal to CONI [Italian Federation of Football] to support our positions, which are very solid and clear, and which had already been successfully accepted in the ordinary process.
“The club is already organizing the defence and the appeal to CONI for a sentence that inevitably influences – and immediately – also the club’s transfer market.” More

Man Utd icon Roy Keane admits he never warmed to Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand and had a bust-up over watching X Factor

ROY KEANE revealed he never warmed to Wayne Rooney or Rio Ferdinand in the Manchester United dressing room. The former hardman said he did not get the England striker or team-mate Ferdinand’s banter – and did not miss them after he left Old Trafford.
Manchester United legend Roy Keane claimed he never warmed to Wayne Rooney or Rio Ferdinand
Keane, 51, reckoned he was not on the same wavelength as Roo, who is 14 years his junior.
And that was highlighted during their playing days on a trip to Newcastle where the night before in the hotel Keane was watching rugby league on the TV before Rooney changed the channel to watch the X Factor and hid the remote control.
Roo – who retired from playing to become permanent Derby manager two years ago – claimed later it led to an argument between the pair and Keane respected him for standing up to him.
But Keane, speaking on Sky Sports’ The Football Show said: “We certainly didn’t have an argument, let me tell you.
“I like my rugby league and yeah, someone did change the channel and I wasn’t happy.
“But we didn’t have an argument about it. I came down for breakfast the next day and Wayne said ‘Did you find the control?’
“So I told him where to go. If that’s an argument, God help us. I certainly didn’t respect Wayne because he stood up to me and wanted to watch the X Factor.
“I had a lot of respect for Wayne because I thought he was a brilliant player.

“I wouldn’t say I warmed to the guy, I certainly didn’t dislike him. But the lad’s on a different wavelength, different banter and if hiding the control was his type of banter then… not for me.”
Keane made 480 appearances for United in 12 years, but he said: “Near the end, I remember thinking I don’t get some of the boys.
“I don’t get their banter or humour. I rarely had a conversation with anyone.
“When I left there were a lot of players I didn’t miss. The game was changing and maybe I was a bit grumpy, a bit old school.
“I didn’t get Wayne or Rio, I didn’t get their banter or what they stood for sometimes. It was probably a personal thing.
“The game was changing and I had changed with it but towards the end at United with the players coming through I didn’t always get them.
“Personality-wise they were not for me.
“Obviously, they were very good players and I was delighted to play with them but in terms of banter or having a cup of coffee with them? No forget it.”

Four more Man Utd players could LEAVE club before transfer deadline day as Charlie Savage set for Forest Green loan

MANCHESTER UNITED are open to letting four more players leave before Tuesday’s transfer deadline day – plus Charlie Savage. As exclusively revealed by SunSport, Robbie Savage’s son will join Forest Green Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season.

That is despite a change of management, with Duncan Ferguson the new boss at the eco-friendly League One basement boys.
But according to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are keen for another quartet of their rising stars to go out on loan to gain first-team action.
Erik ten Hag does not plan to use the youngsters in his team in their quest to secure Champions League football next term.
And therefore the players are in talks to secure temporary exits away from Old Trafford.

Charlie McNeill has caught the eye of a number of League One and League Two sides and will join a club that can guarantee him regular minutes.
The 19-year-old striker went on a work experience loan to Sheffield Wednesday last season which permitted him to train but not play official matches.
Defenders Di’Shon Bernard and Bjorn Hardley are in a similar position to McNeill and are keen to get some action to continue their development.
United will only allow the duo loan moves if minutes are secured – but could even sell them if the right offer came in.

Lastly, Zidane Iqbal is another exciting talent gaining plenty of attention.
Iqbal made his first-team debut in the Champions League draw with Young Boys in December 2021 as Ralf Rangnick also brought Savage, Shola Shoretire and Teden Mengi off the bench – plus veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
Iqbal has not played since but now trains with the first-team stars and is considered part of the senior squad.
Ten Hag only has five midfielders more experienced than Iqbal available for the rest of the season following Donny van de Beek’s injury – and therefore is reluctant to risk being left short as the club targets silverware.

Wout Weghorst reveals he wants to STAY at Man Utd beyond loan transfer after scoring first goal for club against Forest

WOUT WEGHORST OPENED his Manchester United goalscoring account and then vowed to prove he can be more than just a stop-gap striker. The Dutchman scored the second in the Red Devils’ rousing 3-0 Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg victory at The City Ground on Wednesday night.

Now the on-loan 6ft 6 frontman is aiming to add plenty more to become a permanent fixture in Erik Ten Hag’s plans.
Weghorst, 30, said: “This is the situation now, it was for a loan. To deliver and help the team.
“It’s a massive club so I will try to do everything as good as I can and if it will work out it will be a good option.
“I’ve seen how big the club is, in everything, facilities, even the quality in the team, the way were playing, there’s a lot of quality in everything and that’s something you look to work in, in a winning atmosphere.

“I think the first week went well and it’s up to me to deliver and contribute and to help the team as good as I can. I’m quite confident I can play a role in it.”
United were desperately in need of another frontman.
The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo left only injury-prone Anthony Martial as the out-and-out striking option with in-form Marcus Rashford operating best off the left.
Now Weghorst believes he can justify that further goalscoring role as well as being the target man that United lacked.

He said: “We were looking for a target man, that was something the club was looking for.
“Of course, with Martial there was only like one real striker, more of a number nine.
“They just wanted to add one and then it’s up to me and to take my chances.
“The moments are there and then it’s just to deliver, contribute and help the team also in the way I’m playing, the way I am pressing.
“It’s my third game, you start to recognise the way the players around you are playing and you’re making your runs.
“There’s still room for improvement but I showed in the link-up at the end zone to come through me. We had some really good moments there. Let’s make it even better.
Weghorst’s last foray into English football was a disappointing six months last season at Burnley following a £12million move from Wolfsburg.
It brought just two goals from 17 league appearances but a loan move to Besiktas in Turkey saw him find his goalscoring boots with eight goals in 16 league appearances.
That, with his double in the World Cup quarter-final against Argentina that forced extra-time and penalties brought him back to the attention of Ten Hag.
United bought out his loan deal to get him to Old Trafford and three games in he has helped to put the team on the road to their first silverware in six years.
His goal right on half-time against Nottingham Forest followed up Marcus Rashford’s sixth-minute opener.
The Dutchman scored his first United goal against Nottingham ForestCredit: Reuters
He showed his striking instincts as he was first to a parried shot from Antony to fire the ball into the roof of the net.
Weghorst said: “I just moved forward to the goal hoping for the rebound and it came.
“It came a little bit on the left of me and I took it, jumped in with the outside. I hit it fully.
“I was hoping that the ball was falling there and it did exactly.
“Great night. A great result, great feeling, of course.”
His goal came at the perfect time as United were losing some control after that early opener with Forest only denied an equaliser by inches with VAR ruling it out.
Weghorst said: “It was a really good moment, good timing to score shortly before the half-time because, yeah, we were not that in control in the game, so I think that definitely helped us.”
While Weghorst was celebrating his first for the club, Marcus Rashford slotted home his 18th of the season and tenth in ten games since returning from the World Cup where he hit three for England.
What a goal it was too as he ran from ten yards inside his own half before finishing in the near bottom corner.
Weghorst is full of admiration for the form the 25-year-old is in right now.
He said: “You see the great run he’s in. He’s delivering, every week you see it in training, he’s got a lot of quality.
“He’s also a really good guy, a really open guy, he was the first one who came to me when I scored my goal.
“We have a good relationship, you see the qualities he has. He’s extremely important for us, the way we play, he’s a massive part.”

The result at The City Ground was the perfect way for United to get back on track after the double blow of conceding late goals both away at Crystal Palace to draw and in the 3-2 defeat at league leaders Arsenal.
They are on a run of ten wins, a draw, and just one defeat as they prepare to face Reading in the FA Cup evening kick-off on Saturday. More

Newcastle tipped to seal shock Harry Kane and Son Heung-min transfer in huge raid on Premier League rivals Tottenham

HARRY KANE and Son Heung-Min have been tipped to seal a sensational double transfer to Newcastle. The pair are Tottenham’s prized assets and it would take a gargantuan effort to bring both to St James’ Park.

Kane and Son have proved deadly for Spurs this season, though Kane in particular is having a fine season
But this has not stopped ex-midfielder Nobby Solano from speculating the club could go all out to sign the pair.
Speaking on No Tippy Tappy Football, from William Hill and Footy Accumulators, Solano was asked what one player he would sign for Newcastle.

In response, he said: “I’ve got two. I’ve been watching a little bit and would love to see Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in black and white.
“Somebody told me Newcastle had unlimited cash. If they signed [Kane], they’d definitely finish in the Champions League.

“He’s still quite young at 29, and he’s just a phenomenal player.”
Kane in particular has been in fantastic form once again this season.
The England skipper has 16 goals in the Premier League, sitting only behind Erling Haaland’s outrageous tally of 25.
Kane will have one year left on his current deal once the summer rolls around, and Erik ten Hag has reportedly made signing Kane for Manchester United his No1 priority in the summer.

United are in need of a top-class striker to take the next step under Ten Hag, but Kane is also wanted by Bayern Munich.
With Tottenham’s Champions League status also hanging in the balance – likely with Man Utd and Newcastle’s respective fates intertwined as well – Kane may opt to go where the best football is.
However, Newcastle’s place in the Carabao Cup has led to Solano declaring a cup win to be more important than a top-four spot.
He added: “I think Newcastle will finish in the Europa League places.
“It’s more important for them to win a trophy – the fans are desperate for any piece of silverware.
“They’ve now got a wonderful opportunity to win the League Cup, so Eddie [Howe] will have everyone – including myself – supporting them. I think the fans deserve it, they’re lovely people.
“They’ve got a great chance against Southampton, who aren’t in the best of places in the league, so it’s a brilliant opportunity for them to finally win some silverware this season.”
Solano made 315 appearances for Newcastle between 1998 and 2007, though had a two-year spell at Aston Villa from 2004 to 2006. More
