The striker had attempted rape charges against him dropped earlier this month, but United is carrying out its own investigation.
Greenwood will remain suspended until the end of the 2022/23 Premier League season, according to reports.
All charges against the footballer, including attempted rape, actual bodily harm and coercive or controlling behaviour, were withdrawn by the Crown Prosecution Service earlier last month.
It came after 12 witnesses, including the woman at the centre of the allegations, refused to co-operate.
And now it’s been reported that Turkish clubs and clubs with open transfer windows have been enquiring about loan deals for the striker, according to the Telegraph.
Countries that currently have open transfer windows include the MLS in the United States, Japan and South Korea.
However, according to reports, at present, Man United has not pursued a deal.

Greenwood, who earns around £100,000 a week and is contracted until 2025, is still unable to play for United or train while the Red Devils carry out an internal probe.

This is said to involve interviews to get his version of events and checks on his physical and mental health.
Manager Erik Ten Hag hopes this process will be complete before the summer but it cannot be confirmed, it is understood.
Prior to his arrest, Greenwood was valued at around £50million and regarded as one of European football’s hottest young talents.
But United’s women’s players reportedly don’t want him to return to the club.
According to reports in The Athletic, “the feeling is strong” amongst the team that he should be let go – and is shared by some in the men’s dressing room.
Fans are also said to be uncertain about his return.
Greenwood, who was dropped from a multi-million pound boot deal by Nike following his arrest, has made 129 appearances for United, scoring 35 goals and winning one England cap. More

I’m a Man Utd legend who went viral as ‘old man down the pub’… people think I’m weird and don’t get my sense of humour

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Brian McClair has revealed all about the recent photo that saw him go viral. The ex-forward was a big part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s first decade at Old Trafford, playing for them between 1987 and 1998 after arriving from Celtic.

The Old Trafford legend went viral after this snap of him at the pub was shared onlineCredit: Twitter @BanditBus
He made well over 350 appearances during that time before heading to his Scottish homeland to finish his career with Motherwell.
The 59-year-old has since started coaching, with a brief stint as assistant manager at Blackburn followed by a return to United.
He was employed as the club’s youth academy director between 2006 and 2015 but these days he is enjoying great success with his Life of Brian podcast – which has just been named as the most popular sports podcast in Costa Rica.
However, that is not what he hit the headlines for over recent weeks, instead it was a visit to the boozer that had him trending.

McClair was photographed in a Manchester pub named the Gold Cup, only he looked completely unrecognisable from his Premier League-winning heyday with long hair and a long grey beard.
Speaking to The Telegraph, he revealed: “It started in lockdown.
“I just thought: let things grow, see where we end up. Then before Christmas I decided to have a tidy up, but I never got round to it.
“I was out one night and next thing I see I’m trending on social media as ‘old man down the pub’.

“I’ve had the trim since. You’ll be disappointed to hear I look a wee bit less as though I’ve been cast away on a desert island.”
McClair, who won 14 trophies, including four league titles, admits that was just “another bizarre thing in my life”.
He said: “I think I’m normal, others think I’m weird. I tend to notice bizarre things, bizarre things come out of my head.”
The Scot managed to avoid doing interviews throughout his 11-year stay at Old Trafford – but he still managed to wind-up team-mates and the media with his “Choccy’s Diary” in the matchday programme.
He added: “It was very rare when I was a player I got inspired by questions.
“The other players say they never got my sense of humour. I take that as an accolade.
“In the dressing room plenty of things I said were said to find things out about them. I was interested in what made them tick.”
McClair added: “I was always happy to start a debate. A lot of players want to win at that.
“I remember Gary Pallister in particular always wanted to get the last word.

“When we got to his house, he jumped out the car, shouting at me, slamming the door and running off up his drive so I couldn’t respond. I laughed all the way home.”

Man Utd join Arsenal and Chelsea in Romeo Lavia transfer battle just eight-months after Southampton star left City

MANCHESTER UNITED have joined Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Romeo Lavia, reports suggest. Lavia, 19, has enjoyed a breakout season with Southampton.

In fact, no player in the Premier League won more free-kicks than Lavia in February.
And now the midfielder, who only joined from Manchester City last summer, is in line for a move up the table.
According to the Daily Mail, Man Utd are the latest club to keep tabs on Lavia.
The Belgian is already in the sights of London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal, with the Blues previously enquiring about his services.

However, in United’s case, he does not represent their first-choice option.
Instead, Erik ten Hag wants to pursue a deal for Frenkie de Jong or Jude Bellingham, who both fit his desired tactical system.
There is also a long-standing admiration for Declan Rice at Old Trafford, though Arsenal are leading the race to sign the West Ham star.
Southampton have missed Lavia’s presence whenever he has not featured this season, winning just one of nine Premier League games he was absent.

This has not boded well for the Saints’ survival chances, with their poor form seeing them rooted to the bottom of the table.
They brought Lavia in for just £14million, and while City have a £40m buyback option in the deal, relegation would weaken Southmapton’s stance on a sale.
Man City star Kevin De Bruyne described Lavia as having the potential to be a “top player” after seeing him in training.
He said last year: “He (Lavia) is very good. He’s been training with us since the end of last year. If he continues his development, I think he’ll be a top player.” More

Man Utd paying more wages than any other Premier League club as struggling Liverpool overtake City in salary table

MANCHESTER UNITED are paying more wages than any other Premier League club while Liverpool have overtaken Man City in the salary table.Top-flight sides have been releasing their financial accounts for the 2021/22 season and the figures show that the Red Devils were selling out the most on wages at £384m.

United did still have Cristiano Ronaldo on their books, who was pocketing £480,000-a-week, last term.
And his departure to Al-Nassr in December following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan has led to the £375,000-a-week David De Gea returning to top of the highest-earners at Old Trafford.
United are followed by Liverpool, whose wage bill has increased by a whopping 75 per cent since 2017.
The Reds announced they only made a £7.5m pre-tax profit last season as they jumped ahead of Man City into second.

New contracts for the likes of Andy Robertson, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold will all have played a part in that.
Mo Salah has now also signed a new £350,000-a-week contract – but that package which made him their highest-paid player is not taken into account in these figures.
That has left Liverpool’s wage bill just £18m less than United’s last term, a gap that was £56m back in 2017.
Man City’s £354m yearly salary could still be overtaken by Chelsea, who are yet to release last season’s numbers.

Kevin De Bruyne, who pockets £400k on a weekly basis, is top dog with regards to wages at the Etihad while Kai Havertz, on £310,00-a-week, was the highest-earner at Stamford Bridge during the last campaign.
Meanwhile, Tottenham forked out more on player salaries than North London rivals Arsenal.

Spurs had a whopping 66 per cent increase from £127m in 2017 to £209m.
Arsenal’s wage bill also increased, but that was from £195m to £206m.
Thomas Partey was the top earner at Arsenal, but Gabriel Jesus is the new one on £265k-a-week after his summer arrival for Man City. More

I’m a team GB runner and I live next to Old Trafford… I can hear the noise and see Man Utd lit up at night

That breakthrough run in her senior rookie year was no fluke and she went on to claim silver medals at Olympic, world and Commonwealth level and establish herself as a track-and-field superstar.
Hodgkinson is attempting to defend her crown in Istanbul – the heats start today – but her intention is to bring a special gong along on the next trip to watch the Red Devils.
Manchester United is her team and the Leigh athlete lives close to their ground in a nearby flat.
She said: “I live on my own now. An independent woman. Well, as a United fan, I wouldn’t look over Manchester City would I?

“Do I hear the crowd noise? It’s not that bad. I can literally see it across from me and see the lights buzzing when it’s a match night. It’s busy round town.
“Where I live is really nice. There is MediaCity. It’s near the airport, the train station and the track. It’s very convenient. I love it.
“My mum has had a Manchester United season ticket since she was 19 and her name is on the seats at Old Trafford. She is more of a diehard fan than me.

“Though I did see his matches, I don’t remember much about Cristiano Ronaldo being at Manchester United the first time round.
“I was more a fan of Javier Hernandez or Chicharito as he’s known. I liked him when I was growing up.”
Hodgkinson, who is also the reigning European champion outdoors, has been the fastest woman over four laps of an indoor track this winter.
Only last weekend she set a British record time of 1:57.18 in Birmingham while falling short of the world record that has stood since 2002.
Hodgkinson, who turns 21 tomorrow, said: “The 2021 Euros feel like a lifetime ago.
“One of my favourite things to do, which you could argue is quite bad, is I like to prove people wrong.
“I was fastest going into that event but because I was young, there were a lot of experienced girls.
“For me I wanted to prove it doesn’t matter if you’re young, I can still go to a championship and win.
“That year was a case of getting used to everything. It felt like my brain was catching up with everything.

Roy Keane blasts West Ham defenders for acting ‘like they’re in Starbucks’ for Man Utd goal

ROY KEANE blasted the West Ham defenders for acting “like they’re in Starbucks” for Manchester United’s equalising goal. The Hammers took a second-half lead at Old Trafford in the FA Cup fifth round as the London club looked set to end United’s quadruple dream.

But three goals after the 77th minute saw the Red Devils rescue the game and get through to the quarter-finals where they will play Fulham.
Man United legend Keane was not happy with his former club at half-time but turned his fire onto West Ham after the game ended.
The ex-midfielder, 51, was shocked with the London club’s slack defending before Nayef Aguerd headed the ball into his own net.
He said on ITV: “[The West Ham defenders] are having a little discussion … like they’re in Starbucks.

“Come and take people out! Come with violence, that’s your job.”
He was asked by presenter Mark Pougatch if United had “got away with one”.
Keane said: “Yeah they have. But they’ve earned the right. The manager’s made a huge gamble with all the changes, it looked like it was going to backfire.
“But they sorted themselves out, made one or two changes, started doing what they’re good at.”

Keane was also not impressed with West Ham’s spurned chances at both 0-0 and 1-0 – and even compared them to Tottenham.
He added: “They come, they get a bit giddy, they have opportunities. It’s loads of teams – not just West Ham but the Spurs’ of this world.
“They come to Old Trafford, they have a little bit of possession, one or two chances, get all excited and end up getting beaten.”
West Ham were the better team in the first half with Antonio spurning a huge chance at 0-0.
But Said Benrahma scored a beauty after 54 minutes to leave United on the rocks.
Casemiro and others were impressive when they came off the bench but it was one of the starters, Alejandro Garnacho, who stole the game.

Man Utd legend Gary Neville says Casemiro was ‘NOT a smart transfer’ in incredible claim despite huge success

GARY NEVILLE has claimed that Casemiro was “not a smart signing” despite the Brazilian’s huge impact on Manchester United. The Red Devils are enjoying their most impressive season in years and claimed their first piece of silverware under Erik ten Hag on Sunday.

Casemiro, 31, is widely seen as one of the club’s star performers and has excelled in United’s midfield despite a mixed reaction to his signing last summer.
Despite admitting Casemiro’s impact has been “devastating”, Neville believes his signing was an outlier in United’s transfer strategy and will not replicated next season.
He said on the Overlap podcast: “I feel like Ten Hag is not going to sign [expensive, high-profile players]. If new owners come in they’re going to want to make a statement, they’ll want to blow the transfer market open. I don’t think that will suit him.
“I think that’s the type of player he’ll want to add to this squad rather than saying, ‘Oh, Kylian Mbappe’s available or so-and-so is available’.

“But Casemiro, there’s no doubt – we all said it by the way – £60m? £70m? And £20m-a-year [contract] for five years is a £170m investment. That is a massive investment.
“It’s not a smart or shrewd signing when you look at it from a [big picture] point of view. None of us thought that.
“I think he’ll want those younger, hungrier ones that have still got that growth rather than the finished article.”
But Neville fully accepts that the transfer has been a huge success for his former club.
