Man Utd’s Qatari takeover bid has raised ‘significant worries within PSG that Red Devils will be prioritised’

The Glazers revealed in November that they were willing to listen to offers for either a stake in the Premier League giants or an outright purchase.
A number of parties have expressed an interest in buying United, which could be purchased for a world-record price for a sports franchise at £4.5billion, or more.
There has been questions over whether a deal would be banned due to Qatar already owning PSG.
But the Daily Mail reported that a bid from the consortium would not be blocked by Uefa, meaning a major cash boost to United.

The report says that the bid has come from a separate entity to Qatar Sports Investments, which owns the Ligue 1 giants.
PSG was taken over by QSI in 2011 and have gone on to become one of the heavyweights in European football.
The French side have won eight of the last ten league titles and are consistently reaching the latter stages of the Champions League.
But Qatar authorities insist a bid for the Premier League side will not affect PSG and that the French side will continue to receive funding.

But PSG reportedly fear the Qatar Investment Authority will divert money into United, given the French giants’ failure to win the Champions League so far despite heavy investment.
Therefore, United could be prioritised should they become more successful.
One source told L’Equipe: “If Qatar buys Manchester United, there is a chance that it will be less generous with PSG and that it will make it a Ligue 1 club and no longer a team cut out to win the Champions League.” More

Man Utd line up shock Mason Mount transfer as three of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals monitor his contract stand-off

The Chelsea star has struggled for form this season.
Consequently, he has failed to consolidate his strong form from the previous three seasons.
Mount has scored just three times and added just two assists in the Premier League so far this season.
The report suggests Mount could look to leave Stamford Bridge after a lack of progress on a new contract.

The 24-year-old is understood to be after a significant rise from his current wages of around £80,000 per week.
Mount’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of next season.
However, this economic factor has added to a further stumbling block of Mount not wanting to commit to the type of long-term contracts handed out by Chelsea in January.
A number of January signings penned contract with deals which run for roughly eight years.

This massively offset the staggering fees paid via a process known as amortisation, but the risk factor lies in such long contracts with no guarantee of player success.
Mount’s spot at the club is under threat after Todd Boehly reportedly flew to Paris for talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar.

The Blues are already in line to sign Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig, and could even make Joao Felix’s loan move from Atletico Madrid permanent in the summer. More

However, Uefa have been warned to block any bid from Qatar while Qatar Sports Investment remain owners of PSG.
The call comes from human rights group FairSquare.
As reported by The Athletic, the group have sent a letter to Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin, general secretary Theodore Theodoridis and Premier League chief Richard Masters.
It reads: “A basic study of Qatar’s political and economic system amply demonstrates the impossibility of any Qatari consortium proving itself independent of state influence, and thus separate from the ownership of PSG.

“Freedom House’s World Freedom Index classifies Qatar as ‘not free’, and its most recent assessment is highly critical of Qatar’s record on the rule of law, corruption, and political participation: ‘Qatar’s hereditary emir holds all executive and legislative authority and ultimately controls the judiciary.'”
Uefa rules stipulate that “no individual or legal entity may have control or influence over more than one club participating in a Uefa club competition”.
Although Red Bull’s ownership of FC Salzburg and RB Leipzig was overlooked by Uefa after an ownership restructuring at Salzburg – with both playing in the Champions League.
Earlier this week, it was reported Uefa would not block any Qatari offer for Man Utd due to them being satisfied about a bid coming from a separate entity.

The United bid will be launched by Qatar’s ruler Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The Qatar Investment Authority is worth a staggering £370billion, and already owns French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain.
United’s owners – The Glazers – are understood to want £6bn for the club.
However, a more realistic outcome will see them pocket £4.1-£4.5bn.
In their letter FairSquare added “UEFA’s Statutes are very clear on the critical importance of ensuring that no single party can exercise control or influence over more than one club, and this is all the more important when the owners are states.
“State ownership of European football clubs jeopardises the integrity of the game, its proclaimed values and its sustainability.”
Qatar’s interest is being rivalled by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, while Twitter owner Elon Musk is also a shock party considering a bid. More

There’s NO doubt Arsenal target Declan Rice will leave West Ham in big-money summer transfer says Hammers legend

DECLAN RICE will leave West Ham this summer – and his desire to win trophies needs to be respected, according to Tony Cottee. The Hammers are bracing themselves for an almighty transfer saga as Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United prepare bids to snap up the 24-year-old England star.
Tony Cottee believes West Ham must respect Declan Rice’s ambition to win trophiesCredit: Getty
Rice’s contract expires at the end of the season, with West Ham having the option to extend that by a further 12 months.
However, many inside the East London club are resigned to the fact this will be his final campaign, with boss David Moyes hoping to bring in over £100m for his services.
Cottee, 57, knows what it is like to leave West Ham in search of silverware, doing just that in 1988 – ending a six-year stint with his boyhood club to join Everton.
The closest he came to lifting a trophy with the Toffees was in the 1989 FA Cup final, losing out to rivals Liverpool, before returning to West Ham in 1994.

And Cottee told SunSport: “It is different with the likes of Declan or myself. The reason I left the club, and I didn’t want to but I felt I had to because I wanted to go and win something.
“When you don’t win things, it is hard, and the money side is not easy either.
“If West Ham had a successful team that was winning things, Declan wouldn’t be leaving. There would be no reason to leave.
“He will leave this summer. I said all along that the moment they lost to Frankfurt in the Europa League semi-final last season was the moment Declan knew he needed to leave.

“If they had won that and won the Europa League and got into the Champions League, why would he leave?
“Now we are at the stage where Rice is in the prime of his career and wants to play Champions League football.
“As long as his exit is handled correctly, and I think it will be because he is a really good lad leading in the right way, I don’t think any West Ham fan would begrudge him.” More

They have a valuation of £4.8bn and are believed to have drummed up £583.2m in revenue in 2022.

But the Glazer family are believed to be looking for a £6bn fee, above the club’s reported value.
The same appears to be the case at Tottenham with owner Joe Lewis believed to value the club between £4bn-£4.5bn.

But Sportico claim the club is the seventh-most valuable in English football at an estimated £2.57bn, way below Lewis’ reported asking price.

Arsenal ‘join Man Utd and Chelsea in race for Denzel Dumfries transfer’ after Takehiro Tomiyasu blunder vs Man City

ARSENAL have reportedly joined Manchester United AND Chelsea in the race to sign Denzel Dumfries from cash-strapped Italian giants Inter Milan.United and Chelsea have previously held interest in the Dutchman, 26, who is a regular starter at the San Siro.

During his near two-year spell at Inter, Dumfries has played 71 times, helping them win the Italian Super Cup twice and the Coppa Italia.
Dumfries is also a regular in the Dutch national set-up, and is known to Red Devils boss Ten Hag, who would have managed teams against the right-back when he was playing his trade at PSV.
But according to Fichajes, Arsenal have joined Man Utd and Chelsea in registering their interest in acquiring Dumfries’ services.
Inter need to make around £53million from player sales this summer due to their dire financial situation.

And he’s on Ten Hag’s list of possible signings for the next transfer window after settling quickly in the Premier League.
But the Dutchman is still keen on dream target Frenkie de Jong.
And United are reportedly ready to join rivals like neighbours City, Liverpool and Real Madrid in a summer auction for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.
But German outlet Bild say Bayern and the Red Devils would both be happy to consider Sabitzer’s loan deal becoming an end-of-season sale.

The 28-year-old arrived at Old Trafford in January to replace long-term injury victim Christian Eriksen.
A minor stumbling block is the lack of an option to buy Sabitzer in his loan arrangement.

And that means Bayern are expected to value him at around £16m – about £3m more than they paid RB Leipzig in 2021.

Sabitzer himself has confirmed he’s more than happy at United.
