Gary Neville fears Glazers are not going to make Man Utd sale ‘easy’ and hints they could even STAY as owners

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Gary Neville has hinted that the Glazer family could decide to stay at Old Trafford. The current owners are in the process of selling the club, but they are understood to be demanding £6billion for a complete takeover.
🗣️ “If they weren’t to sell, it wouldn’t be a good situation and it wouldn’t be taken well.”@GNev2 expects the Glazer Family to make the sale process of Manchester United a difficult one. pic.twitter.com/2ozjKswv7D— Football Daily (@footballdaily) March 5, 2023

Three bidders – including Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and one unknown candidate – advanced to the next stage of the process on Saturday night.
But Neville fears that Joel and Avram Glazer will use the negotiations to secure a minority investment rather than sell the whole club.
The former defender told Sky Sports: “We could try and ask for transparency and better communication but we’re not going to get that from the Glazers.
“They’ve not communicated to United fans for 20 years so they’re not going to do it when they’re selling the club, so there is that element of unknown.

“I’d like to think decent owners of a football club would update the fans on what’s going on, but they’re not.
“The biggest fear for Manchester United fans at this moment time is the fact that the Glazers could be using this process to stay, or bring some sort of minority investment in.”
He later added: “It’s absolutely unequivocal and definite that the fans want rid of the Glazer family, and they do know that.
“But they need to understand if they weren’t to sell this would not be a great situation at Manchester United and in Manchester at all, it wouldn’t be taken well.

“So I think at this moment in time there’s still that fear it’s not going to happen. But, hopefully [it will], it’s moving through the process as it ordinarily would do with a sale process.
“Hopefully they’re going to accept the best bid, and not some sort of fantasy number that they’ve got in their head.
“But I don’t think they’ll make it easy. They’re the owners, we have rules and regulations and laws in our country which are right that you can’t just get people out of a company that they own shares in.
“And they’re going to need to accept that bid, and hopefully they will.” More

But The Telegraph report that the transfer saga is not over, with both United and Chelsea willing to try their luck in the summer.
This comes after Arsenal pushed hard to sign him in January, seeing multiple bids including one worth £70million being rejected.
The Gunners instead signed Jorginho from Chelsea.

That position could change if their pursuit of him is unsuccessful with the Hammers demanding over £100million.

Since then, he has appeared to delete his Instagram and change his agent.
Whether Brighton would be willing to sell so soon after the player pledged his future is unknown.

Asked if there was a lack of discipline at United, Ten Hag replied: “There was — and I don’t have to lie about it.
“Top players like structure, not only on the pitch, so you need some rules.
“In every organisation when there are no rules and discipline in taking the rules seriously, you create a mess.
“It was quite obvious because I could see on the pitch what was going on.”

Ten Hag was only three games into his reign last summer when he axed Ronaldo for the visit of Sunday’s opponents Liverpool.
It was a sign of what was to come for a player many felt was having a poor influence — and he was axed after slating the club in a TV interview.
The Dutchman admitted: “I had reasons and I also knew the consequence if it was a negative outcome.
“But I am not worrying and I sleep well in those nights.
