Their formidable campaign has been spearheaded by former Cambridge United and Tranmere Rovers striker Paul Mullin, who dropped down to the National League to sign for the Red Dragons two years ago.
Former Manchester United, West Brom and Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster also helped push the club over the line after coming out of retirement to sign a short-term deal last month.
And in preparation for the huge jump up to League Two, Wrexham could acquire the services of some past and present Premier League stars, according to The Express.

He was axed from the first team squad altogether at the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign after suffering an injury setback, so he is expected to depart when his contract expires in June.
Wrexham have already signed ex-United star Foster, who has proved to be a successful addition to the squad and a huge hit among fans, so they would likely jump at the chance to snatch Jones on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old has won several titles with the Red Devils including the Premier League, the Europa League and the FA Cup.

He then left the Lilywhites on a free transfer before joining Watford on a two-year deal.
However, he made just 9 appearances for the Hornets before his contract was terminated the following year.
Rose has been very clear in his desire to return to professional football.
While appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports on during Newcastle’s 6-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday, he jokingly asked Eddie Howe: “Do you need a third-choice left-back by any chance?”
When speaking about Spurs’ performance during the game, he also said: “All I’ve been thinking of in that first half is, how am I unemployed?”

The 33-year-old, who left West Brom in 2021, is yet to officially announce his retirement from professional football despite not playing for almost two years.
And he recently revealed that should he get his desired move, he will donate all of his wages to charity.
In an Instagram statement, Robson-Kanu wrote: “@vancityreynolds I’ll come out of retirement and come play for @wrexham_afc next season.
“I’ll also give my salary to the charity of the fans’ choosing.”
The striker doubled down on his stance on Sky Sports last week, adding: “Look, Wrexham have done phenomenally well and massive credit to Ryan Reynolds and the whole team down there.
“From my perspective, being able to offer my services to the club, I’m in unique position, which is quite nice. I’m a free agent and I have been for the last two years.
“I’ve not officially announced my retirement, but again I’m 33 years of age. What they’ve done is fantastic. I’m happy to have a conversation and as I said, I’d be happy donate any salary I receive to charity as well.”

Newcastle defender Dummett is set to leave St James’ Park when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old has made one appearance this season, but he could play a huge part for Wrexham should he make the switch this summer.

Watch Man Utd star Casemiro scream penalty shoot-out advice at David De Gea in most bizarre fashion ever

CASEMIRO found a novel way of passing on advice to team-mate David De Gea during the Man Utd’s FA Cup semi-final penalty shootout. The Red Devils defeated Brighton 7-6 after Solly March skied his spot-kick in the contest.
Casemiro was spotted frantically waving his arms around during the shootout
It appeared Casemiro was offering David De Gea penalty advice

Spaniard De Gea, who has a poor record at saving penalties, was unable to stop any.
Which led to midfielder Casemiro doing his best to interfere as Adam Webster stepped up.
With the pressure on, the Brazil international was spotted maniacally jumping around on the halfway line and waving his hands in the air – hinting De Gea should follow suit.
The clip, which has been shared online, drew plenty of comment on social media.

One fan wrote: “What a joker,” alongside some laughing emojis, adding, “…Love him..”
Another penned: “Naming my first born Casemiro.”
A third joked: “He’s Brazilian he likes a Samba as much as the next one.”

Webster scored from the spot, so it didn’t quite work.

But, eager eyed fans did see De Gea conform to the dark arts of the game  as he scuffed the penalty spot moments before Solly March stepped up to take his penalty.
March missed, allowing Victor Lindelof to fire home the wining penalty.
In other distracting tactics, as De Gea was scuffing the penalty spot Wout Weghorst kissed the ball before handing it over to the Brighton winger.
Still, Utd fans were left in disbelief at their FA Cup penalty shootout win over Brighton.
That’s after spotting David De Gea “reading his notes” and still not making one single save.
The shootout was marked by neither goalkeeper making a save.
Robert Sanchez came close on several occasions, even getting his hand to one effort.
But De Gea seemed to dive the wrong way almost every time.
The Spaniard constantly paused between efforts as he appeared to read secret notes hidden in his towel.
And United fans couldn’t believe they made it through the shootout against Brighton, especially considering De Gea’s previous records.
Most notable is the 2021 Europa League final defeat to Villarreal where he conceded 11 penalties before missing United’s crucial one himself.
One fan said: “De Gea just watching these penalties like us at home.”
Another declared: “So bad from March, all you have to do against De Gea is put it on target, man is a hologram.”

One noted: “De Gea took notes to a penalty shootout and dived the wrong way for almost all of them.”
Another added: “F*****g hell, we actually won a shootout and De Gea didn’t even need to save one.” More

Victor Lindelof was the hero as he sealed a 7-6 shoot-out victory.
Alexis Mac Allister scored first for Brighton, Pascal Gross followed suit, Deniz Undav notched the third, Pervis Estupinan calmly slotted the fourth and captain Lewis Dunk made it five from five.
Casemiro rolled home United’s opening kick, Diogo Dalot repeated the trick, Jadon Sancho rifled in the third, Rashford scored the fourth and Marcel Sabitzer completed a perfect five for United to send it to sudden death.
Adam Webster was first up for Brighton and sent David De Gea the wrong way and Wout Weghorst did the same for Erik ten Hag’s men.

Solly March then skied the seventh for Brighton – leaving Victor Lindelof to step forward and book United’s place at Wembley in the final against Man City.
However, eagle-eyed fans spotted on-loan Weghorst kissing the ball after scoring as he handed it March before the Brighton star’s spot-kick.
And many believe it was a lucky smooch after the Seagulls ace blazed it high and wide.

Man Utd ratings: Wan-Bissaka wins terrific battle with Brighton dangerman Mitoma but Martial offers very little

AARON WAN-BISSAKA was the star of the show while Anthony Martial offered nothing as Manchester United beat Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final on penalties. After a tense 90 minutes, the clash headed into extra-time with nothing to separate them.

Marcus Rashford came close for the Red Devils while Solly March did for the Seagulls, but neither team were able to find a breakthrough as it went to a shootout.

March then skied the seventh for Brighton – leaving Victor Lindelof to step forward and book United’s place at Wembley against neighbours Man Utd.
This is how Sun Sport’s Neil Custis rated each player for the Red Devils:
    DAVID DE GEA – 8
Had an absolute nightmare in Seville as United crashed out of the Europa League but proved that when it comes to reaction saves alone he is still amongst the very best.
Top stop to deny Alex Mac Allister’s early curling free-kick, a fierce drive from Julio Encisco in the second which he tipped over and a low effort from Solly March towards the end of normal time.

    AARON WAN-BISSAKA – 9
Had a terrific battle tracking Kaoru Mitoma down the flank. He even kept his eyes on him when he was off the pitch waiting to come back on.
Produced tackle of the game when he wrapped his leg around him and got the ball right on the edge of the box in the first-half. Produced an attacking threat in the second.
    VICTOR LINDELOF – 6
You can never fault his commitment when he is called upon due to injuries to others.
Tried to take on the role of organising the back four and made some important tackles and blocks before scoring the decisive penalty.
    LUKE SHAW – 7
With Harry Maguire out suspended and with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez sidelined with injury, Shaw was moved into a central role which he always adapts to well.
    DIOGO DALOT – 6
Not been at his best of late but showed his adaptability filling in for Shaw on the left as Wan-Bissaka took up the role on the right.
Cost Shaw a booking though when he lost possession and his teammate had no option but to foul to stop a counter-attack.
Casemiro did his job shielding the back four
    CASEMIRO – 6
Could feel rightly aggrieved to be booked in the first-half given some of the tackles that did not get a yellow card.
It left him no doubt worrying throughout the rest of the game that he was just one mistimed tackle away from a third red card this season and seemed to go into his shell.
    BRUNO FERNANDES – 6
You often realise a player’s worth when he is not on the pitch and that was definitely the case in Seville when he was suspended. Was everywhere in the first period and had a good chance well saved by Robert Sanchez, then when put through by Casemiro he fired wide of the far post.
Faded after the break as a foot injury he received in the first half started to slow him down.
Antony was had a quiet game at Wembley
    ANTONY – 5
A quiet game for the Brazilian who had been playing much better of late.
Only threatened the goal once when he cut inside and his final shot was weak.
    CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN – 6
Played further forward with Fernandes in what was a 4-1-4-1 formation with the two combining to good effect towards the end of the first period. Subbed early in the second-half.
    MARCUS RASHFORD – 6
Not playing with the same confidence as before his recent injury which makes you wonder if he is fully over it.
Really needed the top scorer at his brilliant best last Thursday and here but he can’t be expected to carry the goalscoring load on his own. Popped up with a shot at the end of first half of extra time which was deflected and saved.
    ANTHONY MARTIAL – 4
Offered absolutely nothing as United limped out of the Europa League last week and very little again here. Had a great chance right on half time when the ball fell to him with the Brighton goalkeeper off his line but chipped it way over the bar.
    SUBS:
    FRED (On for Eriksen 62) – 6
Back on the bench of late with the return of Eriksen from injury. But can still be relied upon to give the midfield some extra legs when it looks like they need it.
    JADON SANCHO (Martial 85) – 6
Came on and immediately had a chance to be the hero but his shot took a deflection and went over the angle.
MARCEL SABITZER (Antony start of extra time) – 5
Got straight into the action and had a chance with a flick header that fell wide.

    WOUT WEGHORST (Fernandes 101) – 6
Understandably dropped recently as he simply does not provide much of a threat and failed to read a good low Fred cross in extra-time.
    TYRELL MALACIA (Wan-Bissaka 101) – 5
Came on to the left with Dalot switching flanks. Wan Bissaka had put a great shift in but Ten Hag felt he needed fresh legs. More

Jamie Carragher reveals his prediction for Kane summer transfer as Man Utd target Tottenham star

JAMIE CARRAGHER has predicted how Harry Kane’s summer will unfold. The Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit DOESN’T believe the Tottenham talisman will join Manchester United.
Harry Kane is thought to be a summer target for Manchester UnitedCredit: PA
The Red Devils are keen to add a goalscorer in the summer, and Kane is a reported target.
However, Carragher reckons Daniel Levy will turn down an offer from Old Trafford.
The Spurs chairman rebuffed Manchester City’s efforts to sign Kane in the summer of 2021.
And Carragher reckons Levy will do the same and turn down an approach from the Red Devils in the upcoming transfer window.

He believes United will then turn their attention elsewhere, with Napoli star Victor Osimhen another reported target.
In Carragher’s opinion, Kane will then stay at Spurs as he has his sights set on breaking the all-time Premier League scoring record.
Carragher tweeted on Sunday: “#Kane saga!
“Levy will turn down an offer from MU [Manchester United], who will then have to sign another striker this summer.

“Then every top team in the PL [Premier League] has a striker, Kane wants the PL [Premier League] goal record so he won’t go abroad for free the next summer.
“I think he signs for Spurs!”
Kane is out of contract at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
But his consolation goal in Sunday’s embarrassing 6-1 defeat to Newcastle took him to 207 Premier League goals.
That is just 53 strikes behind Toon icon Alan Shearer’s all-time record.
So Carragher can’t see Kane leaving the Prem, although Bayern Munich have been linked with a swoop for the England captain. More

Paul Scholes makes U-turn on Man Utd star and backs him to become ‘huge player’ after calling him a ‘clown’

PAUL SCHOLES has performed a remarkable U-turn on “clown” Antony and now says the Brazilian has the potential to be a “huge player” for Manchester United. The winger, 23, moved to Old Trafford from Ajax last summer after boss Erik ten Hag made the same switch but has struggled to hit top gear despite a few bright sparks.

United legend Scholes has been one of Antony’s biggest critics, however, the ex-England ace has now changed his tune following the star’s recent displays.
Speaking on BT Sport this week, Scholes said: “It took some convincing from me, especially after the start of the season, but I think since that Everton game at home [on April 8] he has become a different player.
“I felt he became a bit predictable, always coming in on his left foot and he needed to add different dimensions to his game and I think in the Everton game he did that.
“He started to run in behind Ben Godfrey, he did it two or three times and was clean through on goal but didn’t quite get the goal.

“He started to beat people on the outside and now his confidence is there and he’s starting to look like the player we all expected.”
Antony, who will be hoping to start for United in today’s FA Cup semi-final with Brighton, scored and produced an assist in last week’s 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest to take his goal contributions to 14 for the season.
And after previously hitting out at his tricks, Scholes has now stated that nobody will have any complaints over the “silly” stuff if he continues to produce the goods.
He added: “He’s still going to do his silly stuff but we don’t mind that if he’s producing stuff like this, producing goals and a pass for Dalot.

“He needs more of those goals, he needs to get himself in the box and he will score a lot of goals in this team in the next couple of years.

Man Utd fear Varane could be out for rest of season joining fellow first-choice centre-back Martinez on sidelines

MANCHESTER UNITED fear Raphael Varane will miss the rest of the season and leave them without both first-choice centre-backs for the run-in.Lisandro Martinez had already been ruled out for the final two months with a broken metatarsal suffered in the Europa League first leg against Sevilla.

But now United insiders have revealed Varane, who limped out of the same Old Trafford clash at half-time, could also be sidelined for the remainder.
It adds to Erik ten Hag’s woes ahead of today’s FA Cup semi-final with Brighton, with Harry Maguire also suspended for the Wembley showdown.
Yet the prospect of being without Varane, 29, for the remaining eight Premier League games is a serious blow as they try to seal a top-four finish.
The French defender had managed an ankle issue for a month or so before aggravating it in the Euro quarter-final.

And Dion Dublin claims Brentford star Ivan Toney would make for a great addition to Erik ten Hag’s frontline amid a stunning campaign.
Dublin insists Toney would “only get better” if he moved to Old Trafford.
The England international has registered a whopping 20 goals and five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions this season.
Dublin told William Hill: “In my opinion he is good enough to go and play for Manchester United, and I think he’d only get better if he went there.

“Erik ten Hag likes a big striker and they need a proven goal-scorer so maybe they should take a look at Ivan Toney.”
This, however, comes after Toney was charged with 232 alleged betting breaches between 2017 and 2021 last November, and another 30 a month later.
The 27-year-old admitted to many of the 262 charges, but has contested others, and could be banned for a minimum of six months.
