Erik Ten Hag ‘pushing Man Utd to HIJACK Arsenal’s transfer for £85m Real Madrid star Aurelian Tchouameni’

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly trying to hijack Arsenal’s £85million move for Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni. The Gunners are closing in on the signing of Declan Rice after agreeing a £105million transfer fee with West Ham.

Mikel Arteta also had cause for celebration after completing the signing of Kai Havertz in a £65m deal from Chelsea.
Arsenal have also reportedly agreed a fee of £40m, including £4m in add-ons, for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.
However, we reported earlier this week how Arteta had added Madrid star Tchouameni to his transfer shortlist.
The Spanish giants signed the 23-year-old French midfielder for £85m from Monaco last season, beating the likes of United and Liverpool to his signature.

But Tchouameni failed to stamp his authority on Carlo Ancelotti’s team last season and is believed to be available for the right price this summer.
Now Nacional have claimed that United have entered the chase to try and sign him again.
They state that boss Erik ten Hag “is pressing” the club to seal a deal for the ace.
However, the Dutchman is working on limited resources.

United hope to wrap-up the arrival of Mason Mount from Chelsea this week after the two clubs agreed a £60m fee.
But that move means the Dutchman will have blown over half of his limited £100m transfer budget, enforced through FFP regulations, as he still searches for a new striker and goalie.
Long-term No.1 David De Gea woke up on his wedding day yesterday UNEMPLOYED after his contract expired at Old Trafford.
He was offered the chance to stay at Old Trafford on massively reduced terms.
However, reports suggested that that £200k-a-week offer was later rescinded by the club, wanting him to instead accept an even bigger cut.
But De Gea has been sensationally asked not to join another club despite his contract being up at United.
And the Red Devils are now effectively asking the player to hang around in case they cannot find a new number one within their transfer budget.
Ten Hag has been chasing Inter Milan’s Onana and have also been keen on Porto’s Costa – but a move for either man is dependent on United being able to raise more funds by offloading some of the 13 players the boss is ready to offload.
Now a fresh link claims that they have made contact over a potential move for Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow. More

Mason Greenwood given lifeline by legendary Premier League manager after charges dropped

MASON GREENWOOD has been offered a football lifeline — by his former boss Jose Mourinho at Roma.Mourinho reached out to the troubled Manchester United star over joining the Serie A club on loan.

Greenwood is still suspended as United chiefs investigate his conduct following his January 2022 arrest to “determine the next steps”.
Greenwood, 21, was charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.
But police confirmed in February that Greenwood “no longer faces criminal proceedings” as the Crown Prosecution Service had dropped all charges.
The England forward believes a fresh start at United is unlikely, despite manager Erik ten Hag and several team-mates offering him support.

Mourinho has contacted the player to offer him a second chance, if United decide to send him on loan or cancel his deal.
A source said: “Jose rang Mason’s dad and also spoke with Mason. He told him the best way out of his current situation is to start playing football — and that eventually all the hassle will fade away.
“Mason was pleased that he got in touch and it has lifted his spirits.
“He wants to get back playing and is just waiting for United to tell him what the future holds.”

Other Italian clubs Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan have also been linked with the player.
But Mourinho has a strong bond with Greenwood after giving him a chance as Red Devils boss.
In 2018, Mourinho picked Greenwood as a 16-year-old to go on their pre-season tour of the US.
Ex-United ace Nicky Butt revealed Mourinho identified Greenwood as a future first-team star — at 15.
Butt, who worked at United when Mourinho was boss from 2016 to 2018, said: “I was his academy boss so I wondered what it would be like.
“The reality was that he was approachable and friendly. He was single-minded and selfish — and that’s what the best managers are.
“He asked, ‘Who is this kid Greenwood?’ when Mason was 15. He said, ‘Bring him to train with us’, and I said, ‘We can’t, because he’s at school and there are rules’.”
Former Red Devils defender Chris Smalling — who played with Greenwood — left Old Trafford for Roma on loan in 2019.

The City chief is keen to bring in a new midfielder after Ilkay Gundogan turned down a new deal and opted for a move to the Nou Camp instead.
Pep ended his interest in Rice when the fee went higher than he was prepared to pay, leaving the way clear for Arsenal.
Guardiola tried to sign De Jong in 2019, before the Dutchman was swayed by the huge contract at Barca – and he remains a fan.
He was a major Manchester transfer target a year ago, when his old Ajax boss Erik ten Hag tried to make him one of his first Man Utd signings.

But the 26-year-old Dutch star opted to stay in Barcelona and is still in no rush to leave Spain.
However, he is aware Nou Camp executives are open to a sale in a bid to improve the club’s desperate finances.
De Jong earns £400,000 a week after tax, has three years left on his agreement and retains the backing of coach Xavi.
But Barca would like his wages off the books and know that City have cash for a top-class midfielder after the race for Rice.

Speaking in February about last summer’s transfer saga involving De Jong, Xavi said: “He was very clear with me. He wanted to stay with us and there was no doubt.
“He is our player and I am very happy and satisfied with his performance and leadership.
“He is in a great moment, like the whole team.
“I think he is having a good time on the field, which is the most important thing.”

That’s because manager Erik ten Hag has yet to find a replacement as he juggles his limited budget.
De Gea has huge affection for United after joining from Atletico Madrid in 2011.

So he’s unlikely to raise a finger at the club’s request just before he puts a ring on it.
But it sums up a transfer saga that’s drifted on for many months.

Talks over a new contract rumbled on and stumbled off before ending as he declined a pay cut from £375,000 a week to £200k.
Yet his divorce from Old Trafford is not as clear-cut as it seems.
Whatever happens, De Gea is set for a joyful Saturday as he weds TV presenter and actress Edurne, 37.
Ironically they started dating in the year he joined United.
Now the couple – whose first child, daughter Yanay, was born in March 2021 – are tying the knot in their home country.
Around 80 to 100 guests are reportedly expected at the venue in Menorca.
The loved-up couple held their pre-wedding bash on the Spanish island on Thursday.
Guests turned up all dressed in white for the luxurious bash.
Despite his transfer situation, De Gea was all smiles as he chatted to friends and family.
De Gea, then, is switching from the Theatre of Dreams to his Match of the Day.
But after his honeymoon will there be extra time at Old Trafford?

Sheikh Jassim is die-hard Man Utd fan who watches all the games.. and calls himself a different name

SHEIKH JASSIM wants to buy Manchester United as a “trophy asset” – like the Empire State Building. But Red Devils’ fans shouldn’t panic – as he’s not just after a towering boost for his ego.
The Man Utd takeover saga could still go either wayCredit: Reuters
Sheikh Jassim is still regarded as a bit of an enigma despite his interest in buying one of the world’s most famous football clubs
The chairman of a huge Qatari bank is described as a lifelong United fan who watches every game.
And there’s even better news for Old Trafford supporters intent on seeing the back of current owners the Glazers.
The Sheikh is said to believe the American family have “under-invested” over the past decade.
He reckons that would leave him with “a lot to do” if he wins his takeover fight with Britain’s richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The Athletic uncovered little-known details on a man who remains something of a mystery despite being a member of Qatar’s royal family and the son of a former Prime Minister there.
The 41-year-old, was educated at  at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst and previously held a leading position with global investment bank Credit Suisse.
It was at that global investment bank where he sometimes typified his enigmatic personality by calling himself “JJ” or even signing off paperwork with the same moniker.
It’s claimed he’d love to own United as a sign of prestige similar to past Qatari investments in luxury store Harrods and the 72-storey Shard in London, plus the Empire State Building in New York.

A source told The Athletic: “He likes to have nice things.
“I can understand why he wants an asset like Manchester United because it makes everyone go, ‘that’s owned by Sheikh Jassim’.”
But beneath all that it appears the Sheikh is also a dedicated Red Devils supporter.
His bid to oust the Glazers has seemingly regained momentum in recent weeks.
In fact, he’s possibly back in pole position ahead of Ratcliffe’s INEOS.
It’s thought the Sheikh’s teams are getting documents ready to ensure any deal can go through quickly, having promised a debt-free buy-out.
And ultimately that might be the only thing connected to him that most United fans truly care about. More
