A third supporter also added: “You already know he’s going to be worth £80m in 2 years if Dortmund want him.”

The Americans have been fielding bids for majority and minority stakes in Old Trafford since November, with their valuation standing at a mammoth £6billion.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, one of two main frontrunners, is looking to seek majority control by a slim margin.
While on the other side, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani wants 100 per cent control as he plots a stunning investment.
But despite the club being on sale for seven months, with the Glazers previously targeting a March deadline, United’s ownership saga remains in limbo.

As a result, they are yet to sign any players this summer despite making a fresh bid for Chelsea’s Mason Mount yesterday.
And The Mirror claims boss Ten Hag has been left “infuriated” by the situation.
He believes United need at least three new signings – a goalie, a striker and a midfielder – to compete for next season’s title.
But the Glazers are unwilling to release transfer funds until they have concluded their sale of the club.

And Ten Hag fears missing out on all of his top targets while rivals strengthen in key areas.
The Red Devils have already lost Napoli’s Kim Min-Jae to Bayern Munich, while Arsenal look set to win the race for Ajax’s Jurrien Timber.
The Gunners are also closing in on West Ham’s Declan Rice, with Chelsea hoping to land Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag’s unhappiness has raised fears among fans that he could resign.
One tweeted: “I won’t be surprised if Erik Ten Hag walk. I wouldn’t begrudge him this. He deserves better.”
Another wrote: “Could genuinely see Ten Hag walking from this s***show of a situation, the delay with this takeover is DISGUSTING.”
As another commented: “This is getting out of hand. We already have some budget. Why don’t they use it to book the top targets?” More

Mount remains a key transfer target for the Red Devils, despite their improved £50million offer being rejected.
Silvestre is excited by the prospect of Mount joining his former club, even if a deal is yet to be struck.
The Frenchman believes he will bring a series of attributes with him, including versatility, finishing and mobility.
Silvestre also feels Mount loves to play in between the lines and can both receive and make precise passes.

He told FourFourTwo: “Versatility is his obvious quality.
“I’ve been following him since his loan to Vitesse Arnhem, and there was laughter when he broke into Chelsea’s first team.
“He’s a very interesting player, very mobile and loves to play in between the lines, receiving and making precise passes.
“He’s a good finisher as well and is a player in his prime. I think he would be an immediate reinforcement for United and would fit into Erik’s philosophy as well.”

Chelsea are said to be “trying to comply with Mount’s wishes”, with the player keen on a move to Old Trafford.
However, the Blues also value the 24-year-old at £70million, despite him entering the final year of his deal after contract talks collapsed. More

Man Utd ‘interested in transfer for Champions League finalist’ to aid defensive rebuild but face battle with Real Madrid

MANCHESTER UNITED are interested in Inter Milan full-back Federico Dimarco but face competition from Real Madrid, according to reports.Dimarco, 25, had a remarkable season for Inter and was crucial in Inter’s run to the Champions League final.

The Independent report that Ten Hag’s interest in the full-back was piqued due to his performances on their run to face Manchester City in Istanbul earlier this month.
He contributed five assists in his 11 appearances as Inter reached the final, with the Italians keeping clean sheets in eight of those games.
United are well stocked in the left-back area with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia currently vying for the position.
However, Ten Hag has been impressed by Dimarco’s versatility and believes he would be able to play in a number of positions for the Red Devils.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
There is also a belief that Inter need to sell players this summer in order to comply with financial fair play – so United believe they could get him on a cut price deal.
If United are to move for Dimarco though, they will face competition from Real Madrid.
Eduardo Camavinga looked to have made the position his own during a string of impressive performances.
But the Frenchman has always been a midfielder and has made it clear to Carlo Ancelotti he intends to fight for a place alongside new signing Jude Bellingham.

Madrid are therefore considering Dimarco as a cheap alternative at left-back having spent a considerable chunk of their budget on Bellingham.
Inter will be hoping for a bidding war between the two to drive up Dimarco’s price.
United are operating carefully in the transfer market this summer with limited funds available until the status of their takeover is clear.
While left-back is not a priority for the Red Devils, they are keen to bolster their defence.
They do look set to miss out on one of their key targets however.
United had made contact with Kim Min-Jae ahead of a possible move but the Korean defender now looks to be joining Bayern Munich.
One contingency could be to move Luke Shaw into centre-back with Dimarco playing at left-back as Shaw played the position a number of times last season. More

But now David Ornstein is reporting that Erik ten Hag’s men have upped their bid by tabling £45m plus £5m in add-ons.
Chelsea have countered with a proposal of £60m plus £5m in add-ons.
It means there is still no agreement between the two clubs – with Man Utd adamant they do have a limit to the amount they will pay.
However, they will take confidence from claims Chelsea are “trying to comply with Mount’s wishes”.

The England international, 24, who has been capped 36 times by his country, has just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Attempts to tie him down to a longer-term deal collapsed earlier this season.
Mount came through Chelsea’s youth system and won the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel in 2021.
He has contributed 33 goals and 37 assists in 195 appearances for the West London outfit.

But he struggled during the 2022/23 campaign, registering just three goals and six assists in 35 games.
Mount’s potential departure comes amid a mass exodus at Stamford Bridge.

N’Golo Kante has departed to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad in a four-year deal worth £86m.
And a host of other Chelsea stars are the subject of interest from Saudi including Hakim Ziyech, Romelu Lukaku, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Manchester City have also reportedly agreed a £30m deal for Blues midfielder Mateo Kovacic. More

Man Utd considering hijacking Arsenal’s transfer move for Declan Rice by offering two players and cash

MANCHESTER UNITED are considering hijacking Arsenal’s move for Declan Rice by offering TWO players and cash.Arsenal have seemed like the favourites to sign Rice this summer but have so far seen a pair of bids rejected by West Ham United.

The Gunners’ failure to meet West Ham’s £100million valuation is set to open the door for other clubs, including United.
And, according to The Telegraph, United are eyeing up a move.
But they won’t pay either, instead offering a player-plus-cash deal.
Such a move would reportedly involve either Harry Maguire or Scott McTominay, who are both up for sale at Old Trafford.

However, Maguire’s wages are believed to be a potential issue, whilst it is unclear whether McTominay wants to join the Hammers.
United’s interest in a potential swap deal comes after Arsenal saw their second bid for Rice rejected on Tuesday.
Mikel Arteta’s side had lodged another offer as they chase Rice’s signature, but it again fell short of West Ham’s sky-high valuation.
The bid is said to have been worth a total of £90million, consisting of £75m plus £15m in add-ons spread over five years.

Despite the bid being rejected, Arsenal are still hopeful, with personal terms not an issue, and are expected to return with a third bid.
Manchester City have also been rumoured as a possible destination for Rice, but the treble winners are yet to make an approach.

Their cross-city rivals United could bid, though, as Erik ten Hag looks to overhaul his midfield.
Rice’s pal Mason Mount is also linked with the Red Devils, who are thought to be preparing another bid for the Chelsea star.
Departures are also expected in the position, with Fred the latest to be linked with a move amid interest from Fulham. More

He was initially found guilty of assaulting police, resisting arrest and attempted bribery and punished with a suspended jail sentence of 21 months and 10 days.
Maguire’s brother, Joe, and friend, Christopher Sharman, were also handed suspended sentences of 13 months.
The England international swiftly appealed and saw the conviction quashed.
That meant a retrial would automatically be heard at a higher court.

The retrial was first postponed due to the Covid pandemic.
It was then due to take place earlier this month, before Maguire’s legal team requested it be pushed back.
If found guilty, he will not be able to receive a more severe punishment than his original sentence.
And while Maguire is not expected to attend the trial in person, it is not an ideal position for the ex-Leicester man to be in as he heads off on his summer break.

After starting England’s two Euro 2024 qualification wins, he will now enjoy some downtime.
But he will continue to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford – four years on from his £80million arrival.
Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham have all been mooted as potential destinations for the centre-back.
However, fans may be concerned about his new court date being right in the middle of next season. More

The midfielder was seen as one of the most gifted English players of his generation when he signed for United – and comparisons were made with Paul Scholes.
He made six appearances for Ferguson’s side during his final season in charge at Old Trafford during a promising start to Powell’s career with the Red Devils.
But his time at United post-Fergie was less fruitful with the midfielder farmed out on loan to Wigan, Leicester City and Hull.
He would go on to make just three more appearances for United before he joined Wigan on a permanent transfer in 2016.

The midfielder established himself as a mainstay of the Latics midfield and starred as the club were promoted to the Championship in 2019.
From there he was snapped up by Stoke City as one of the club’s top-earners on £16,000-a-week.
He made 119 appearances for the Potters, scoring 28 goals and assisting 10 times before being released this summer.
And Hollywood-backed Wrexham, who are owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are reportedly looking at snapping up Powell as a free agent.

Having played in the Championship this season, Powell would represent a statement signing for the Welsh club who have just been promoted to League Two.
According to The Mirror, Wrexham would not be able to offer “anything like” the wages Powell earned at Stoke City.
But, Wrexham have paid for stars who have been playing at a higher level than the Red Dragons’ before.
Reynolds’ and McElhenney were able to persuade star striker Paul Mullin to drop out of the football league and join their project in 2021 which was seen as a statement move.
Signing Powell could be seen as sending a serious message to Wrexham’s League Two rivals next year. More
