Henderson, 26, is set to have his medical today and will sign a five-year contract at Selhurst Park.
His move to South London brings to an end his 12-year spell with the Red Devils where he has challenged David De Gea for a starting spot.
But his pricey transfer will not gift him with the No1 shirt at Palace as he will have to fight Sam Johnstone for it.
The academy graduate joined United when he was 14 and made his senior debut in 2015.

Henderson has since had six loan spells at Stockport, Grimsby, Shrewsbury and Sheffield United – where he earned them Championship promotion.
His remarkable effort at Bramall Lane earned him his first and only England call-up in 2020.
More recently he spent the season at Nottingham Forest but made just 20 appearances during the 2022-23 campaign due to a thigh injury.
Steve Cooper was keen to steal Erik ten Hag’s No2 but the Eagles came in to swoop him away.

The England international will replace Vicente Guaita – who is expected to depart the Eagles after falling out with Hodgson after refusing to play in pre-season friendlies.
Henderson will join Palace’s new signings Jefferson Lerma and Matheus France from Flamengo.
But the South London side are still on the hunt for a Wilfred Zaha replacement who departed last month on a free transfer to Galatasaray.
Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho is a key target for Hodgson’s squad as well as Paris Saint-German’s Hugo Ekitike.
Meanwhile, United are lined-up to sign goalkeeper Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce to back-up summer arrival Andre Onana.

Inside Man Utd transfer chaos with Mount injured, Maguire still at club, left-back scramble and no money for Amrabat

MANCHESTER UNITED’S race to sign Sofyan Amrabat shows where they are in a chaotic opening to the new season.Amrabat of Fiorentina had been touted as a signing for the Red Devils all summer.

But as of a week ago they were not interested in the deal.
Fast forward to today and they are battling to get a loan over the line for the £30 million rated Moroccan international midfielder.
No doubt Mason Mount’s injury has played a part in that scenario.
Fiorentina will do the loan to help United get around FFP regulations as long as the Red Devils confirm they will make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

They are also still fighting to get a left-back on loan with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia injured.
Talks are ongoing to get one of Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella or Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon.
Chelsea are demanding a £7million loan fee for Cucurella who turned out for Mauricio Pochettino against Wimbledon on Wednesday night.
The defensive problems do not end there with Raphael Varane sidelined for at least a month.

That has led to the club clinging on to Harry Maguire who is wanted by West Ham.
In any case they were struggling to get that £30million outgoing done with their former captain holding out for a £15million pay off.
There was also news this week that new goalkeeper Andre Onana could be missing for up to a month in the New Year.
The Cameroon international has gone back on his decision to retire from international football meaning he will be required for the African Cup of Nations.
There are problems up front that the club are hoping new striker Rasmus Hojlund can solve starting this weekend.
He is expected to be on the bench after what was described as a slight injury picked up in pre-season with his former club Atalanta having stopped him from training with his new teammates until this week.
They definitely need someone upfront with all four of their goals in the opening three games coming from midfield with one headed in by Raphael Varane.

All this and the team have not started the new season well.
They were very fortunate to beat Wolves in their opening game.
The Red Devils then lost to Tottenham as they faded after a bright start.
Last weekend they were 2-0 down in the opening four minutes to a Nottingham Forest side who won only one game away from home in the whole of last season.

The comeback to win 3-2 at least showed the team has spirit but that will only take them so far.
The visit to The Emirates could have United fans watching proceedings through their fingers. More

The Red Devils are in search of a new left-back before the transfer window closes on Friday.
Cucurella had been touted as a potential target but United now have doubts after he played for Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.
According to The Athletic, Erik ten Hag is considering a loan deal for Reguilon instead.
And a deal appears to be close, with United on the verge of landing him from Spurs until next summer.

The report adds that Cucurella will remain an option until the very end but that a move for the Spaniard is now more complicated.
United are making their decision based on both football and financial factors this week.
Cucurella is cup-tied from the Carabao Cup after starting Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Wimbledon on Wednesday.
Ten Hag’s side are set to enter the competition in the third round at the end of September and have been drawn at home to Crystal Palace.

As for Reguilon, he is yet to play for Spurs this season after returning from a loan spell with Atletico Madrid.
United are keen to bring in a left-back before Friday’s 11pm deadline due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Their absences have left Alvaro Fernandez as the only recognised left-back available to Ten Hag.
The 20-year-old has yet to make his senior United debut after spending last season on loan at Preston. More

Arsenal fans hail MAN UTD for club’s success as bizarre theory claims wheels were set in motion twelve years ago

ARSENAL fans are claiming they have Manchester United to thank for their current success as a team. That’s due to being on the wrong end of an 8-2 defeat to Sir Alex Ferguson’s United 12 years ago in August 2011.

That might sound a bit strange, given that it was Arsenal’s largest margin of defeat since 1927 – and their worst in modern history.
But in a roundabout way, it has gotten them to where they are today.
The traumatising loss saw them undergo a late flurry in the transfer window, where they brought in Mikel Arteta, Per Mertesacker, Andre Santos and Park Chu Young.
While Arteta and Mertesacker were successes on the field, it has been their impact since retiring that has bore most fruit for Arsenal.

Arteta would retire at the club in 2014 aged 32 after making 150 appearances for Arsenal.
Mertesacker would also retire at Arsenal in 2018 after playing 221 time for the club.
Arteta then immediately joined Manchester City to become Pep Guardiola’s assistant coach – although he also received offers from Arsenal and Tottenham to join their staff.
The prodigal son would return to Arsenal in 2019 after the club sacked Unai Emery to become The Gunners’ manager.

Since returning to the club he has won the FA Cup and turned Arsenal into title challengers again after years in the wilderness.
Mertesacker meanwhile became the club’s academy manager in 2018 and has seen the likes of Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe come into the team under his tutelage.
The fan that pointed out the interesting quirk on Twitter said: “It’s funny how the most embarrassing defeat in our history led to us panic buying Arteta and Mertesacker, who now manage the club and academy and have turned the club’s fortunes around.”
And other fans were keen to chime in on the theory, with one saying: “Wenger’s done it again!”
Another said: “Arsene Wenger, went to Old Trafford lost 8-2 on purpose to force Kroenke’s hand, signed Arteta who was central in breaking our trophy drought and now manages club, he’s done it again!”
And a third wrote: “More reason why a revenge for that embarrassing loss should happen this weekend.”
Arsenal will have an opportunity for some belated revenge as they host United at The Emirates at 4:30pm this Sunday. More

ARSENAL are preparing a second world record bid for Mary Earps, according to reports.Manchester United turned down a huge opening offer for the goalkeeper last week.

Reports at the time stated that the proposal was from an “unnamed” club, although football reporter Alex Ibaceta now claims Arsenal were behind it.
According to Ibaceta and DAZN, the Gunners are now preparing another world record offer for Earps, who has less than one year remaining on her current United contract.
The current record transfer fee for a goalkeeper stands at £100,000 following Kailen Sheridan’s move from Gotham FC to San Diego Wave in the National Women’s Soccer League.
However, Arsenal are preparing a “significantly higher” offer.

Lionesses team-mate Keira Walsh is the world’s most expensive female footballer after joining Barcelona from Manchester City for £350,000 last year.
Earps, 30, joined Man Utd from Wolfsburg in 2019 and has since established herself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper and England’s No.1.
She played an integral role in the Lionesses’ European Championship triumph last summer and was crowned as the best women’s goalkeeper in the world by Fifa as a result.
The Nottingham-born star also claimed the Golden Glove award at the Women’s World Cup earlier this month after helping England to the final.

England striker Alessia Russo joined Jonas Eidevall’s side in a free transfer last month.
Arsenal tabled two world-record bids for the 24-year-old in January, both of which were pushed back by Man Utd.

How Man Utd could line up for huge Arsenal clash with three transfer deadline day signings including Chelsea flop

MANCHESTER UNITED face injury dilemma heading into their next match – which could force them into a late summer spree. United travel to Arsenal on Sunday but do so with key names ruled out from the starting 11.

Centre-back Raphael Varane is the latest defender to be sidelined, joining Luke Shaw.
As a result, United are linked with a move for Nice centre-half Jean-Clair Todibo, formerly of Barcelona.
If a deal cannot be struck in time, Victor Lindelof is expected to partner Lisandro Martinez with Harry Maguire out of favour.
But more pressing for manager Erik ten Hag is the injuries to left-backs Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

So United are frantically searching for an emergency replacement.
The club have approached Chelsea over a loan move for Marc Cucurella, who only arrived in West London last season for £63million.
With two new faces lined up in defence, Ten Hag is also in the market for a new midfielder due to Mason Mount’s recent knock.
It has led the Dutchman to enquire about a move for Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who he worked with at Bayern Munich.

Going forward, United will likely keep Bruno Fernandes in the No10 role with Marcus Rashford and Antony either side of him.
Anthony Martial is in line to lead the line but summer signing Rasmus Hojlund could feature in some capacity following a back injury.
United bounced back from a 2-0 loss to Spurs by beating Nottingham Forest 3-2, coming from two behind.

Mason Greenwood offered lifeline by European giants after being axed by Man Utd

MASON Greenwood has been offered a lifeline by a top European club after being axed by Manchester United, reports claim. The Red Devils are in a race against time to offload the 21-year-old by Friday before the transfer window closes at 11pm.
Mason Greenwood has reportedly been offered a lifeline by Besiktas
And Turkish giants Besiktas are now reportedly considering an approach for the young striker on a loan deal, according to the i.
The Süper Lig side have emerged as potential suitors for the forward and are said to be thinking about entering negotiations to restart Greenwood’s career.
Greenwood “mutually agreed” to leave United on August 21 following his arrest for attempted rape and sexual assault.
He was charged in October last year but all charges were dropped in February by the Crown Prosecution Service.
    Read More in Football
Greenwood has not kicked a ball for Utd since January 2022 when he was suspended and it was decided this month that it would be best for all if his future was away from Old Trafford.
And Besiktas reportedly believe that an initial loan spell, of around six months, could be used to gauge public feeling around the striker.
Should the move prove successful, and Greenwood be welcomed by supporters, it’s thought Besiktas would be prepared to discuss a long-term move.
“Of course they have seen what has been said in the UK and further afield,” the source told the i.
    Most read in Football
“People think that Turkey is an easy way out for Greenwood, as he will just be able to get on with his career away from the public eye.
“But clubs know that is not how it works. Reporters will come from England to follow his progress wherever he goes, we are sure of that.
“A short loan is appealing, though. If things go wrong, he will return to Manchester quickly. If he comes to Istanbul and scores goals straight away, the boos will quickly go.
“That is just the way that football works, however bad a taste that leaves. I think Turkish fans will accept him.”
It is also thought that the consent of the Besiktas women’s team would be needed for any move for Greenwood to be sanctioned.
If a move is not finalised before the transfer window closes, United may have to wait until the January transfer window opens.
Or they could face paying the £75,000-a-week striker around £8 million to cut his contract.
If Utd agree to cancel Greenwood’s contract before the transfer window closes, he will be able to move to any club in any league.
However, if the Red Devils cannot mutually agree on cancelling Greenwood’s deal, his options are slim.
This is because most of Europe’s top leagues also shut their transfer windows on Friday.
In this scenario, Greenwood would be left with a ramshackle selection of tiny national leagues whose windows remain open.
These include: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Israel, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey.
The striker’s last game was on January 22, 2022, in a Premier League clash against West Ham, which United won 1-0.
    Read More on The Sun
Reports of interest from Italy have also not been forthcoming, with no approaches made to United from any Serie A side as yet.
It was previously reported in June that AC Milan had been making inquiries about the striker. More
