Man Utd and Liverpool handed major Kylian Mbappe transfer boost with Real Madrid move ‘at risk due to financial issues’

REAL MADRID have sparked a double red alert with claims they can’t afford to sign Kylian Mbappe.Manchester United and Liverpool have been monitoring the PSG striker’s situation as his contract expires next summer.

The Telegraph suggest “financial issues” have dented Real’s chances of recruiting their long-time top target.
Now Premier League giants, including Chelsea, might ponder launching a staggering offer for the France star in January.
Mbappe, 24, has already rejected a reported offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal worth around 1billion euros (£787m) in wages and a transfer fee close to 300m euros (£262m).
Back in July the pacy 73-cap hero was given two weeks to extend his current PSG deal – or be sold.

But he never signed – and instead was retained.
The French champions will hate risking losing Mbappe for free at the end of the season.
But Luis Enrique’s Ligue 1 leaders are also determined to mount a serious challenge for the Champions League.
And assuming they squeeze into the group stages, selling their star player in the January transfer window would put a huge dent in those ambitions.

Real have also denied holding talks with PSG over the ex-Monaco man.
In a dream world the Spanish giants would love to field Mbappe behind their £115m England midfielder Jude Bellingham.
But the club said in a statement: “Given information in the media about negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappe and our club, Real Madrid state that this information is categorically false.
“Negotiations have not taken place with a player who belongs to PSG.” More

Sometimes he goes home in the afternoon for a couple of hours, returning to work until 8.30pm.
A source said: “Nobody can accuse Ten Hag of a lack of effort.

Ten Hag might feel he got some reward for his additional hours with Saturday’s 1-0 home win over Luton.
United went sixth in the Premier League thanks to a first goal in three years for recalled centre-back Victor Lindelof.
Nonetheless, the Red Devils have lost nine of their first 18 games in all competitions.
And last Wednesdays’s 4-3 loss at FC Copenhagen leaves United struggling to qualify for the Champions League KO stages.

Not only that, injury scares continue to mount.

Ten Hag will be banned from the dugout for that one after picking up his third yellow card of the season on Saturday.

Watch Cristiano Ronaldo absolutely nail free-kick by bamboozling goalkeeper and then letting ex-Man Utd star take it

CRISTIANO RONALDO fooled an opposition keeper by pretending to take a free-kick before ex-Manchester United man Alex Telles stepped up to curl it home.Ronaldo, 38, took his stance as though he was going to produce one of his trademark knuckleball free-kicks.

The former Manchester United defender whipped it perfectly into the far cornerCredit: SSC RSL
And Al-Wehda keeper Munir Mohamedi was clearly preparing for the Portuguese legend to step up as he began to move to his left.
But Telles, who left Man Utd for Saudi Arabia in the summer, whipped the free-kick the other side of the wall to give Al-Nassr the lead in the 11th minute.
But it should not have come as too much of a surprise as Ronaldo’s free-kick record over the past decade is poor.
He has scored just five since the start of the 2019/20 season and 10 since the 2014/15 campaign – despite usually being first in the queue to take them.

But his overall record for Al-Nassr so far this season is a more impressive one.
Ronaldo has scored 16 goals and provided nine assists in 17 games.
Al-Nassr do not sit top of the Saudi Pro League table as they remain four points adrift of Al-Hilal.
But they did keep the pressure on the league leaders with a 3-1 win on Saturday.

Telles’ free-kick was followed up with a strike from defender Abdulelah Ali Awadh Al-Amri.
And Ronaldo made sure of the points four minutes into the second half, before Anselmo pulled a consolation back for the hosts.
Ronaldo and Telles spent 18 months as team-mates together at Old Trafford, before the Real Madrid icon left at the end of 2022. More

Allardyce watched on as United scraped a 1-0 win over Luton – with Ten Hag under massive pressure to win in order to keep his job.
And fans online were saying he did not look too impressed.

    47. McTominay takes an arm to the face from Morris on halfway.
Scrappy couple of minutes and the game has to stop for a moment. The Scot will be fine though.
    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
We’re back under way as the visitors kick us off in the second half.
    Here they come
The players are back out and ready to go.
Without putting too fine a point on it – this is a seismic 45 minutes for Erik ten Hag.
    Sergio driving
Sergio Reguilon is almost playing as a second winger for United.
He’s been probably the most involved player of the half and you can see how high up the pitch he’s able to get.

    Elsewhere…
There’s two other Premier League games at 3pm this afternoon.
    Arsenal 1 Burnley 0
    Crystal Palace 1 Everton 1
    Domination
United are dominating every aspect of this one – bar the scoreline and shots on target.
Which just about sums up their issues at the moment…

    Half time report
For all their huff and puff, United have nothing to show for it at half time.
They’ve created enough chances and it looks like a team with a front three who just can’t seem to score at the minute.
Luton have defended really well and their game plan has worked to this point.
If it wasn’t for an outstanding Onana save from Morris’ header, they could actually have found themselves in front.
Much for Ten Hag to ponder at the interval.
    HALF TIME
Indeed that was it for the first half.
Somehow, we’re goalless at the break.

47′ Another Garnacho cross but Lockyer scoops that one clear.
That will likely be that in terms of the opening 45 minutes.

    43. Sacked in the morning the chants coming from the away fans – and I’m assuming it’s not aimed at Rob Edwards.
Garnacho’s latest cross is low but Hojlund can’t get it under control.
    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
    41. Another HUGE chance for United and they still can’t score.
Hojlund’s link-up is brilliant and he finds Garnacho in ACRES of space inside the box.
Unfortunately, he takes four touches to get the ball under control before taking it round the keeper and sending a weak shot towards goal – where Luton had four retreating defenders to clear it.
    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
    39. Eriksen hasn’t been able to shrug that knee injury off unfortunately.
He’s back down on the turf again and is set to be replaced.

    OFF – Eriksen
    ON – Mount

    37. Townsend’s follow-up shot from the edge is easily saved by the keeper.
Fernandes tries to force a pass down the other end but it drifts for a goal kick.
    WHAT A SAVE!!
Luton very nearly take the lead!!
A cross from the right finds Morris 10 yards out and his free header is heading for the bottom corner but for the outstretched arm of Onana.
Morris thought he’d scored but excellent goalkeeping!

    34. Another Maguire switch finds Garnacho in space on the left.
He cuts inside and finds Fernandes on the edge of the box but his shot is blocked this time.
    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
    32. Eriksen slips in the middle of the park and is clutching at his knee.
He does get back to his feet but it would’ve been an anxious time for Ten Hag with their injury record at present.
    VAR CHECK
    Possible penalty….
Lockyer grabbing Maguire from the subsequent corner and the pair hit the deck.
    No penalty….

    CLOSE!
    30. Fernandes’ deep corner finds Rashford alone at the back post. He smashes it back across and it hits Osho and flies just wide.
    Another corner.
    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
    29. Patient play from United with 21 players within 35 yards of Luton’s goal.
Garnacho and Reguilon link up well and the former wins a corner.
    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
    25. Another Luton corner and this one is an inswinger. Not dealt with at the first attempt from United.
Eventually, Fernandes gets on it and sends Eriksen on the counter but he has no-one to hit and they’re back in safe possesion.

    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
    24. Another United chance. Fernandes gets a yard of space on the edge of the box and smashes it towards goal.
    Again, it flies just over.
    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
    23. A sensational ball in from Fernandes on the left, curling in towards the back post.
Hojlund couldn’t get there and Rashford was caught on his heels at the back post and it drifts just wide.

    21. Ogbene gets Luton’s first attempt at goal.
A routine stop from Onana as the shot is fired straight at him from the egde of the area.
    Man Utd 0 Luton 0
    21. Another good chance for Man Utd.
Maguire with a big diagonal switch to the left where Garnacho collects. Good feet from the winger to drive inside before driving a shot a couple of yards over from inside the area. More

He scored 11 goals for the club and won the Premier League title in 2003 and 2007.

Richardson spoke of the need to keep his clients private because of the risk of them becoming targeted by thieves.
He said: “You have to make sure you trust your dealer.
“I find with my background and who I am, people don’t feel I’m going to rump them and run away with £100,000 because I don’t need your £100,000.
“I get a lot of customers from the trust side and that’s fine. I have a lot of clients but don’t like to tell the big names – I don’t want to open that can of worms, these watches are proper assets.
“I’m private. I have massive clients, trust me – it’s different if they want to put it out there.
“I am thinking about people, not the pound notes. Safety.”
Richardson also told Sulley about his reasons for hanging up his boots in 2017 and the fact that he supports Arsenal despite coming through United’s youth set-up.
He said: “By the end of my career, it became a job, I fell out of love with it and lost that spark. I still enjoyed it but lost that love,” he explained.
“I watch football so much now – I didn’t watch it much as a footballer, I didn’t really care.
“Now as someone not playing, I enjoy being an Arsenal fan, I’m buying a season ticket next season.
“I don’t think there was a conflict of interests.

Martial, 27, has been struggling for game time this term having only played 220 minutes in the league.
With hopes of landing a place in the French squad for Euro 2024 he will need to secure more appearances.
And a move to Serie A side Inter Milan could do the trick.
According to Calciomercato, Inter are ready to make a move on the forward as they aim to replace Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian striker returned to Milan in the summer after 13 years but has unfortunately been sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Inter’s owner Giuseppe Marotta does not want to gamble with the 34-year-old’s fitness any more and is ready to make a move for Martial.
The report claims, the chief might secure the Frenchman on a free transfer as United could first accept a loan deal and then £10.5 million for a permanent signing.
Man Utd had their eyes on Arnautovic last summer but had a £7.6m bid rejected for the ex-West Ham star.

The 22-year-old was arrested in January last year following charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control.

The ex-England player has slowly been integrated into the Getafe first team since joining the club on September 1.
And Paul Mitchell was spotted in the stands of the Coliseum on Monday watching Getafe beat Cadiz 1-0 thanks to Borja Mayoral’s winner, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Mitchell’s rumoured impending return to United under Sir Jim Ratcliffe – and him travelling to Spain to watch Greenwood – could mean a return to Old Trafford for the striker is being considered.
It comes amid other hints that Greenwood could be brought back into the Man United first team despite the club claiming he would leave.
Greenwood is still technically a United player as he’s at Getafe on loan.
He will once again be a member of the squad once his loan period is up.
If Sir Jim Ratcliffe does take over a part of United, he may be more open to bringing Greenwood back than the current owners are.
Greenwood started for Jose Bordalas’ side and also provided the assist on 76 minutes.
He has amassed three goals and two assists in nine appearances across all competitions.
It comes as United fans reportedly want Greenwood to return following his loan spell, the Daily Star reports.
Taking to social media, one said: “Bring back my star boy.”
