    But who eaxctly is he?
    Who is Willy Kambwala?
Kambwala was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo but captained France Under-1
Liverpool were also linked with the centre-back three years ago.
However United won the £3.5million race to sign him from Sochaux on transfer deadline day in October 2020.

Kambwala’s French club were devastated to lose their main asset – offering him professional terms to stay.
But the lure of a Prem giant was always likely to win out.
And so it proved, as Kambwala switched to Old Trafford and was set to be integrated into United’s junior sides.
But an injury suffered in a  friendly against Salford kept him out for 11 months.

And what a return it was – as his first game back was an 8-2 victory for United’s Under-18s against Birmingham.
Kambwala signed a pro deal with the Red Devils a month later.
Just last month, Red Devils’ academy boss Travis Binnion hailed the attitude of Kambwala, plus fellow hot prospects Kobbie Mainoo and Dan Gore.
After all three played through injury in a match against FC Copenhagen, Binnion said: “Great credit to Kobbie, Willy and Dan, as the sort of senior players today.
“Dan got niggle and Willy got a sore foot, so for those lads to get through the 90 minutes after struggling with knocks and wanting to play, bodes well.” More

They have already lost seven of their opening 17 Premier League games, having been plagued with injuries and a spate of signings failing to match expectations.
Among them is £72million summer recruit Rasmus Hojlund, who has yet to score domestically.
And United have been closely watching Bundesliga sensation Guirassy who, by contrast, has already netted 17 times in Germany.
However, SunSport understands the Guinea striker would prefer a move to Spurs.

And now Ten Hag has sent scouts to watch Sevilla and Morocco frontman En-Nesyri instead.
United talent-spotters have monitored him in recent weeks and will be in attendance for Saturday’s LaLiga clash against Atletico Madrid.
En-Nesyri has been Sevilla’s main man up front since January 2020, helping them to two Europa League crowns.
And he has been the shining light in a tough season for the Andalusians so far, with the Spanish heavyweights languishing in 14th in the table.

This term alone he has scored eight goals and created four assists.
But with Sevilla already out of Europe after a disastrous Champions League campaign, and with qualification next season in major doubt, they could now choose to cash in on their attacking star.
En-Nesyri is under contract until June 2025, but he could be sold for a fee of around £16m.
That’s because Sevilla are going through serious financial struggles, having already fired two coaches this season and still having to pay their wages.
They now want to lower the expenses by selling some of their prime assets in the next few weeks.
And En-Nesyri fits the bill having also shone for Morocco in last year’s fantastic run to the World Cup semi-final, including a superb winning goal against Portugal in the quarters. More

Ex-Man Utd star demands club bring back Mason Greenwood after star striker’s performances at Getafe

Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, assault and coercive control – something he denied.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) later dropped all of the charges and Utd attempted to reintegrate the 22-year-old.
But backlash from fans and female players saw bosses make a quick U-turn.
Greenwood joined the Spanish side in August on a season-long loan – scoring five times and having four assists in 15 pitch appearances.

His impressive performance, despite being out of the game for 18 months, has since caught the attention of former Utd player Ravel Morrison.
Greenwood helped Getafe claw back a 3-3 draw against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, leading Morrison to post on X, formerly known as Twitter: “What a player. United need to bring him back!!”
It comes after reports claimed Barcelona were interested in signing the baller.
The club sent scouts to watch Greenwood, according to talkSPORT, while Atletico Madrid were also rumoured to be monitoring the striker after he helped boost his team to ninth place in LaLiga at the start of December.

In addition, The Sun understands Valencia and Real Sociedad are both “monitoring” Greenwood, and could make a move in the summer.
Our source said: “Mason has done brilliantly since he moved to Spain and is really catching the eye after a strong start to his time at Getafe.
“There are a number of clubs looking at him in Spain with scouts from Valencia and Sociedad seemingly at the front of the queue.
“It is highly unlikely Mason will return to Manchester United.
“That ship has sailed, and he looks set to enjoy the next phase of his career in Spain where he has really settled and found his feet both personally and professionally.”
With his current record on the field, Getafe are considering making Greenwood a permanent team player when this season finishes.
Getafe president, Angel Corres, spoke to Cadena SER on Tuesday and revealed: “With Greenwood, we are not only planning on him staying another year, but we also want to buy him.”
The football boss admitted it is “still too early” to make any final decisions.

“I believe a lot [in Greenwood]. From here, we continue to work periodically, we continue to meet with Manchester [United] to see if they are happy,” he added.
Greenwood last played for Man Utd in their 1-0 win over West Ham on January 22, 2022. More

Man Utd and Bayern Munich lead European Super League revolt as just two teams in favour of breakaway competition

EUROPEAN giants Manchester United and Bayern Munich have both publicly backed away from a revived European Super League. The project kicked back into life after the European Court of Justice determined that Fifa and Uefa acted AGAINST competition law when blocking the formation of a Super League two years ago.

Manchester United, along with the other traditional big six Premier League clubs had all publicly pledged to join the European Super League in April 2021.
But their fans, along with fans of Arsenal and Chelsea managed to kibosh the project through massive protests during the covid pandemic.
That led to most of the original founders of the league backing out of the plan but for Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus.
Juventus then withdrew from the project in July 2023.

Manchester United have announced that this time, they will play no part in attempting to break away from Uefa and released a statement today saying that their “position had not changed” regarding not being a part of a European Super League.
It read: “We remain fully committed to participation in UEFA competitions, and to positive cooperation with UEFA, the Premier League, and fellow clubs through the ECA on the continued development of the European game.”
Bayern were never part of the original founding members of the breakaway competition and have reaffirmed their opposition to it.
Bayern’s CEO, Jan Christian Dreesen, said in a statement: “We have taken note of the judgement of the European Court of Justice.

“However, this does not change FC Bayern’s and the ECA’s position that such a competition would be an attack on the importance of the national leagues and the structure of European football.
“The Bundesliga is the foundation of FC Bayern, just as all national leagues are the foundation of other European football clubs. It is therefore our duty and our deep conviction to strengthen them, not to weaken them.”
The club also reaffirmed their commitment to the Uefa project and the Champions League.
PSG chief Nasser El-Khelaifi also firmly rejected the ECA’s court ruling and the club said in a tweet: “Paris Saint-Germain rejects wholly and completely any so-called Super League project, which has been the case since day one and will always remain the case.”
Other clubs such as Sevilla, Roma and Atletico have also made public statements denouncing the project.
As of now, only Real Madrid and Barcelona remain committed to the European Super League, with the clubs never withdrawing from the original 2021 project. More

Since then the 57-year-old has continued to live in Wolverhampton, where he insisted he was “very, very happy” while speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Euro Leagues podcast.
This is because he wants to continue his career in the Premier League.
He confessed the desire in an interview with Sky Sports, in which he called English football culture “special” and also admitted he had already turned down jobs from overseas.
He said: “It’s why I’ve said no to different countries and different situations because I would like to stay here in England. I feel like our team here is just starting and we want to achieve our dreams.

“I think you have to understand where you are, what’s the culture of the club and the history too.”
Reports last week claimed Lopetegui was “well placed” to replace Erik ten Hag as the boss of Manchester United.
However, despite the Dutchman remaining in his post for the time being, Lopetegui is remaining patient.
And it means he would have likely been gutted to see Nuno Espirito Santo appointed as boss of Nottingham Forest following the sacking of fan-favourite Steve Cooper.
Lopetegui has previously managed the Spanish national team, Real Madrid and Sevilla, winning the Europa League with the latter. More

Manea said: “With Tottenham it was just a discussion about Radu. There is an interest from them, we will see what will happen in the next period.”
Dragusin helped Genoa win promotion to Serie A last term, having joined from Juve in 2020.
The 21-year-old is reportedly also on the radar of Manchester United and Arsenal.

Bringing in a new recruit to the middle of defence is Tottenham’s top transfer priority when the window opens next month.
A host of players are under consideration, including Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly and Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace. Though Everton’s Ben Godfrey is understood not to be a target.

Raging Man Utd fans say ‘SCRAP the season’ as club chief reveals January transfer plans

RAGING Manchester United fans want to “scrap the season” after the club revealed their January transfer plans. Red Devils supporters have endured a difficult first half of the season under Erik ten Hag.

The club sit seventh in the Premier League, have already been dumped out of the Carabao Cup and finished bottom of their Champions League group – with 12 defeats from 25 matches overall.
And supporters’ mood took another dent following the latest fans’ forum.
Fans were hoping for various incomings and outgoings to boost the campaign.
But those hopes were dashed by United’s Chief Operating Officer Collette Roche.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
She told attendees not to expect much activity in the upcoming transfer market.
Roche said: “We have been consistent in saying we do not see January as the optimal time to do business.”
And the update has not gone down well with fans.
One said: “And this is way we fail and already scrap this season off.”

Another wrote: “Did she forget we bought Bruno in a January window – that turned out ok?”
A third sarcastically added: “Good strategy, whatever we’ve been doing for the last decade is working well so keep up the good work.”
And a final user replied: “Being consistent with our business strategies is only a positive if we’ve been consistently good, which we haven’t.”
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s imminent £1.25billion investment to purchase 25 per cent of the club is set to go through this week before Christmas.
But with Financial Fair Play regulations and the lengthy due process of Ratcliffe’s arrival mean big-money signings are off the cards until next summer.
Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek could both leave – if clubs come in with suitable deals for the pair of outcasts.
But Anthony Martial and Antony – despite being unwanted by Ratcliffe – may end up staying.
A fifth of Ratcliffe’s investment is dedicated to improvements at he crumbling, decaying and leaking Old Trafford.

But it is understood those plans are also being shelved following the huge rise in costs of materials.
Instead of structural improvements or any rebuilding work, United are more likely to spend money on a “facelift” with fresh paintwork and updates to executive suites. More
