He returned last season under manager Ten Hag but made only 11 appearances, staring just ONCE and failing to score.
And this term has not been much better having gone goalless in his 14 games in all competitions.
The winger now looks set join Granada until the end of the season but not before his agent Edgardo Lasalvia took a swipe at Ten Hag.
In a Spanish-speaking interview with Sport 890, stressing that he was expressing a personal opinion, Lasalvia said: “Whether he returns to Manchester in the middle of the year will depend on the performance he shows.

“If Ten Hag continues, it’s going to be difficult. Ten Hag hasn’t used him, valued him, or treated him like a professional.”
Just two months ago, Ten Hag said: “For Pelli he has to make a step from a bench player, often having a very good impact, to a starting XI player.
“We will see how quick that process will go.”

Mourinho, 61, has enjoyed a remarkable career in management which has seen him win 26 major trophies.
He has managed the likes of Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Tottenham.
He also took charge of Manchester United between 2016 and 2018 as he replaced Louis van Gaal.
During his second season at Old Trafford, he guided the Red Devils to a runners-up spot in the Premier League – which he has called one of the best achievements in his career.

Now the Daily Mail have claimed that Mourinho is keen on returning to Man United as he has “unfinished business”.
The report adds that Mourinho would be excited to work with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos and it is his “mission to go back”.
The new investor has taken over the footballing operations of the club and will work closely with the manager.
It is very unlikely that a deal would happen with bookies currently rating him at 33/1 to replace Erik ten Hag in the dugout.

The Dutchman has come under pressure in recent months as the club has struggled to break into the top four and were dumped out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
Mourinho won the Europa League and Carabao Cup in his first season in charge of the Red Devils.
He had been at Roma since 2021 and led the club to its first trophy in 11 years by winning the Conference League in 2022.
Since being axed, Mourinho has already been linked to a host of jobs.
Barcelona are one club that have been tipped with a move as Xavi is set to leave at the end of the season.
It has also been claimed that he has rejected an offer from Saudi outfit Al-Shabab.

Sean Millis says it would be a ‘dream’ if Man Utd fans sang his hit at Old Trafford as he opens up on battle with trolls

SEAN MILLIS wants Old Trafford to become the theatre for his own dream. The singer would love fans to belt out his ‘Waiting on a Miracle’ Christmas viral No1 at Manchester United – after insisting he has embraced banter over his likeness to Red Devils’ striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Aussie songwriter Sean Millis enjoys ‘banter’ over his likeness to Rasmus Hojlund

Millis, 22, sprung to fame on The Voice Australia 2023.
But although he’s since faced some trolling, the Aussie says he’s comfortable with that and in particular has enjoyed supporters linked his ‘Miracle’ hit with Hojlund’s Premier League goal drought.
Fans began sharing Millis’ videos every time United’s £72million summer signing failed to net.
The TikTok sensation followed suit but with a more positive spin – putting up his own clips in a Red Devils’ shirt and sending Hojlund some motivational words.

Both men then struck festive gold – Millis in the online charts and the Dane bagging his first ever Prem goal with a Boxing Day comeback winner in a 3-2 home thriller against Aston Villa.
And Millis, who has the incurable disability Hunter’s syndrome, says he’s revelled in the whole experience with United.
Now he hopes to hear something extra special from the stands at the Theatre of Dreams.
With a beaming smile, he told Sky Sports: “It’s been beautiful. It would be a dream if they sang ‘Waiting On a Miracle’ at Old Trafford.”

Millis added: “I’m so grateful for the people connected with the song and I hope it inspires them to do what they want to do.”
Fans responded warmly online with comments like: “Just a nice fella to be fair isn’t he” and “This guy’s a legend”.
But some supporters still couldn’t resist linking his best-known song with United’s current plight – as Erik ten Hag’s men sit just ninth in the Prem and are out of the Champions League.
These jibes included: “Waiting on a miracle at Old Trafford. .. how fitting” and “A miracle is needed at the club alright”.
Millis’ Hunter’s syndrome causes health issues such as reduced lung capacity, joint stiffness and mild hearing loss. More

However, Rangers rapidly rejected Forest’s approach.
And they made it clear Butland is not for sale.

Since then he has become a huge favourite with Gers fans who would hate to lose their popular No1.

Butland, who spent last season on loan at Manchester United, has kept 18 clean sheets in 36 appearances for Rangers this season.
His sensational form has seen him emerge as a shock contender for Gareth Southgate’s England squad for next month’s friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.
It also attracted Forest, who remain unconvinced by their current ‘keeper’s USA international Matt Turner and Greek international Odysseas Vlachodimos.

Marcus Rashford needs a Sir Alex to put an arm around him and say a few home truths… but it’s down to him to get a grip

    DEAR Marcus,
    How are you doing?

Marcus is a great guy who’s gone off the rails and urgently needs help to get back on them, says Piers
I mean, how are you REALLY doing?
It’s customary at such a turbulent stage of a Manchester United superstar’s career for them to sit down with me for a tell-all Uncensored interview, as Cristiano Ronaldo did 14 months ago.
If you did that, these are the first four questions I’d ask you:

    What’s going on?
Why have you hit the self-destruct button?
Who’s around you that’s enabling this crazy behaviour?
    Do you need help?

Three years ago, you were the best sporting role model in the country.
You were lighting up the pitch with electrifying performances for United and England.
But more importantly, you were fighting a magnificent campaign for poverty-stricken kids to have free school meals, one that forced the Government into a humiliating U-turn and law change.
    Most read in Football
You were eloquent, polite, calm but as with a football at your feet in front of goal, lethally effective.
In fact, an Ipsos/MORI poll at the time revealed that the British public thought you (56%) and me (32%) were doing a better job of holding the Government to account during the pandemic than the actual leader of the opposition, Sir Keir Starmer (29%) or anyone else.
I remember you coming on Good Morning Britain and commending you on putting your high profile to such good use rather than abusing it as some other footballers were doing.
You admitted it had been tough at the start of your career because people recorded everything you did when you went out. But you said: “You learn the dos and don’ts, and it makes you a better person, a better professional, more focused.”
I told you: “I’m enormously admiring of what you’ve achieved, for a young footballer to have had the impact you’ve had on such a crucial issue as child poverty is a remarkable thing and you should be very proud of yourself, and your mum Melanie should be very proud of you too.”
How proud do you feel of yourself today?
    How proud is your mum?
My heart sank when I saw you splashed all over the front page of The Sun for going on a 12-hour tequila-fuelled bender in Belfast and ending up so drunk a waitress put you to bed fully clothed at 3am.
It sank even more when I discovered you had lied about it to United so you could miss training pretending to be sick (though having had a few tequila nights myself, I’m sure you did feel very sick, just not for the reasons you said).
You must have known your lies would unravel very quickly given that it seems like half of Belfast was following you around joining in the fun and taking pictures.
So, I’m curious: did you forget the dos and don’ts, or don’t you care anymore?
And if it’s the latter, WHY don’t you care?
You literally have the world at your feet.
But sadly, it seems that from the moment you signed your new United mega-deal last summer, it’s all gone horribly wrong.
You’re now earning £300,000 a week, which works out at £15.6 million a year and a staggering £78 million over the duration of your five-year contract if you stay at United.
    ‘Dreadfully destructive’
It’s enough to turn anyone’s head, and to fuel a self-love to Trump-like heights.
But the effect all that money’s head on your football, and on your personal behaviour, has been dreadfully destructive.
You’ve gone from being a thrilling, hungry goal-scoring machine last season to someone who can barely hit a barn-door from 20 yards.
But it’s your visible lack of work ethic, the failure to put a proper shift in, that’s dismayed even your biggest fans.
I don’t know what your large personal entourage, which includes several of your brothers and David Beckham’s former PR woman, are doing but if I were you, I’d sack them all today.
It’s obvious to me that they don’t have your best interests at heart, or they would stop you self-imploding like this.
What you need right now is strong, caring management both in your personal and professional life– people who will put an arm round you, not be afraid to tell you some cold, hard home truths, and guide you back to a better place.
It’s a great shame for you that Sir Alex Ferguson is no longer United’s manager.
He would have known exactly what to do, and how to do it.
The current manager Erik Ten Hag seems woefully incapable of doing anything but losing matches and publicly chucking his players under the bus.
Ronaldo, in my view the greatest player of all time, was incensed by the disrespectful way Ten Hag treated him, which is why he did the interview with me and left United.
But he was also very disappointed that so many of the club’s younger players strut around like world champions when their trophy cabinets are emptier than my cheese box if my wife orders the weekly shop, and by their refusal to listen to his advice despite him winning everything in the game.
    ‘It comes down to you’
Since Sir Alex retired, there seems to have developed a culture at United that’s encouraged players like you to sacrifice hard graft and humility for bling, binges, and brazen swagger.
I hope for your sake that the club’s new owners get rid of Ten Hag fast and bring in a Fergie-like figure who knows how to handle wayward talent.
In the end though Marcus, it comes down to you.
I look at you, and at another England superstar Jude Bellingham, and wonder why you’ve chosen to pursue this path of self-destruction rather than do what he’s done and chase ever greater heights of excellence for himself on and off the pitch.
As your career slides backwards into a bucket of Belfast tequila, Bellingham’s career is soaring to world-beating new levels at Real Madrid.
You would do well to heed the warning of the tale of two young female singer-songwriters born a few miles from each other in North London – Amy Winehouse and Adele.
Both had wondrous natural talent, but one sank into a tragic, self-inflicted spiral of drink and drug addiction that ended up killing her aged just 27, while the other is now one of the biggest stars in the world, and at the very top of her game.
‘You need to get a grip’
I don’t for a moment think you’ll end up like poor Amy.
But if Jude Bellingham is the football version of Adele, do you really want to end up like the football version of someone better known for their out-of-control partying and chronic unreliability than their incredible skills?
It’s not too late to change course.
But you do need to get a grip, stop your ego writing cheques your performances on the pitch aren’t cashing, and be the man again that inspired the whole country three years ago.
And if you can’t find the right people to help you do that, give me a call.
As the father of three sons of 30, 26 and 23, all of whom – like their dad! – have had their wayward moments, I’d happily give you my uncensored advice, and I’d do it from a place of admiration for someone I still believe is a great guy at heart but who’s gone off the rails and urgently needs help to get back on them.

The 26-year-old claimed to be too ill to train on Friday, before it emerged that he had been partying in Belfast the previous night.
Rashford subsequently missed the Red Devils’ 4-2 win over Newport County in the FA Cup.
PSG previously showed interest in the forward before he signed a new five-year deal at Man Utd last summer.
According to the i, The Ligue 1 champions are “tempted” to come back in for Rashford at the end of the season.

They add, however, that United do not plan to sell their homegrown star.
And Rashford is also claimed to not be seeking a move.
Following his disciplinary breach last week, Rashford was slapped with a two-week fine, worth £650,000.
In a subsequent statement, the Red Devils said: “Marcus has taken responsibility for his actions.

“This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed.”
Rashford flew to Ireland on Wednesday to visit pal Ro-Shaun Williams, who now plays for Larne FC having previously been part of United’s academy.
Belfast waitress Sarah Adair, 30, told of how she served Rashford lunch before he invited her to party with him.
She said: “I’m not surprised he missed training the next day given how late he got to bed and how much he’d had to drink. He must’ve known he wasn’t going to be in any fit state to play football.”
Sarah revealed that she had to put Rashford to bed after he drunkenly dropped huge wads of cash on the floor.
Following United’s win over Newport, Ten Hag said of his No10: “He reported ill and the rest is an internal matter. As I said, we will deal with it.”
On Monday, Rashford attended a meeting Sir Dave Brailsford and football director John Murtough at Carrington alongside his brother and agent Dwaine Maynard.
