Former United greats Paul Ince and Dimitar Berbatov have both urged Old Trafford boss Solskjaer to swoop for Aguero.
But the Norwegian insisted no player should move between the rivals.
He said: “I wouldn’t expect any player who has played for a club for ten years to want to go to their local rivals. It’s not for me.
“When I played for Manchester United, if a rival club tried to sign me and I had gone — well, where’s the loyalty?
“Loyalty is one of the values I really, really put highly.
“I know we are professionals but when you play for United you don’t go to City.

“We have had examples of that and I didn’t really agree with it.
“I won’t name names but you all know who I mean — enough said.”
Aguero has won four Premier League titles, an FA Cup and five League Cups during his amazing City career, including his iconic winning goal that broke Red Devil hearts in 2012.
And many believe he could add some much needed quality to United’s front line.
However, Carlos Tevez enraged Reds fans when he controversially switched to the Etihad in 2009.
Treble-winning keeper Peter Schmeichel’s move to City seven years earlier also left everyone at United fuming.

Schmeichel, then 36, quit Old Trafford for Sporting Lisbon after the 1999 Treble, claiming the Premier League was too demanding.
Yet after two years he returned to England with Aston Villa and after 12 months joined City for a season.
Solskjaer would not refer to him by name and it soured relations with his one-time team-mate.

Jesse Lingard’s transfer fee could rocket to £40m as West Ham face missing out on Man Utd loanee in summer

WEST HAM could miss out on signing Jesse Lingard — because they failed to put a ‘buy’ clause in his loan deal.Manchester United were ready to offload Lingard for as little as £20million this summer when they agreed to let the attacker play for the Hammers.

But his form since then — scoring five in seven appearances — has seen him rocket back into contention for a place in England’s Euros squad.
And that is now forcing United bosses to consider almost doubling the price.
That causes a problem for West Ham because they were unable to secure a guaranteed option to make his loan deal permanent during negotiations.
And if his fee climbs towards £40m, it may be too much for them to pay.
There is hope that the 28-year-old has enjoyed himself so much at the London Stadium that he tells United he wants to make the move there on a full-time basis.
But Lingard will have little control on any fee United demand.
BETTING SPECIAL: 40/1 ON A PENALTY FOR EITHER SIDE IN MAN UTD vs BRIGHTON

West Ham boss David Moyes said: “I’m sure at this moment in time we will say yes, we’d love to have Jesse, because of how well he’s doing.
“But we’ve still got nine games to go to judge and assess Jesse, just like United will have a period to think about do they want to sell or keep him?
“That would be a decision we would all need to get to but, no, there’s nothing in place at the moment.”

Jose Maria Ramos, Sergio’s father, and mother Paqui Garcia spoke to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito in the week.
Both were effusive on the 35-year-old’s chances of staying in Madrid, stating that he ‘absolutely’ is excited to sign a new deal.
Jose said: “He is not worried at all, he is calm as always.
“He is totally sure that he will continue.
“The family decides little, but there is time for everything.”
Paqui added that Ramos is looking ‘great’ before stating: “Let him stay at Real Madrid.”
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Spaniard in their pursuit of a new star defender.
Madrid are said to have offered reduced terms as part of a one-year extension offer to the club captain.

The coronavirus pandemic has hit the club’s finances hard but big-money moves for Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are still rumoured to be in the works.
Ramos will miss Real’s Champions League quarter-final with Liverpool this month after feeling pain in his calf on Spain duty.
Saturday’s win over Eibar was the 19th game he has missed this season due to injury.
The veteran wrote on Instagram after news of the problem broke: “To be honest it’s been a tough few weeks for me.

“After the game yesterday I stayed out on the pitch to train and felt a sharp pain in my left calf. I underwent tests today which confirmed that I have a muscular injury.
“What causes me even greater pain is not being able to help the team during these key games in which we will be playing to decide the season and not being able to repay all of you for the affection you give me.
“All I can do is speak frankly, work hard and support the team with my soul.”

Man Utd poach top Crystal Palace scout Jamahl Jarrett as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ramps out transfer recruitment team

MANCHESTER UNITED are close to appointing Crystal Palace recruitment specialist Jamahl Jarrett to their scouting team. The 32-year-old is poised to become the lead scout for the South of England as the Red Devils continue their coaching and recruitment shake-up.

Jarrett has been with Palace for ten years, and is also the co-founder and director of football for Lambeth Tigers.
He set up that football club to encourage children into football and not into a life of crime and gang culture.
Kids from the Tigers have gone on to join the youth-set ups of the likes of Palace, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, Fulham, Millwall and Leicester City.
The appointment of Jarrett is the latest move to revamp things behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
Last month United appointed John Murtough as their first Football Director.
And former player Darren Fletcher was given the new role of Technical Director.
But there was a notable name heading for the exit door too.
United legend Nicky Butt QUIT as head of first-team development for a ‘new challenge’ after coaching there nine years.

SunSport has exclusively revealed that Derby boss Wayne Rooney is interested in adding Butt to his management team at the Championship outfit.
But according to The Athletic, Butt and Murtough had ‘differing footballing views’ and there was ‘friction’ between the pair.
Murtough was essentially Butt’s line manager in the new coaching set up. The Athletic describes the pair as ‘like chalk and cheese’.
It is also alleged that Butt felt ‘overlooked’ for the technical director role that his former team-mate Darren Fletcher bagged.
Butt helped bring current first-teamers like Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay, Axel Tuanzebe, Dean Henderson and Mason Greenwood through United’s famous academy.

Scholes tells Man Utd to go all out for Haaland transfer over Kane for four reasons including ‘timing of career’

ERLING HAALAND is Manchester United’s best bet if they are to sign a striker in the summer, according to Paul Scholes. The midfield legend weighed up the Norwegian against Tottenham star Harry Kane and insisted he is better in a number of areas.
Paul Scholes has given his take on Manchester United’s striker situationCredit: EPA
He told the Webby & O’Neill show: “[United] need a No9.
“I think the forwards they have are very good, but are any of them really a No9, or are they wide players? You just can’t make sense out of it really.
“When Cavani’s played, he’s looked alright but he’s had a few injuries. He’s at that age. It was always going to happen, he was always going to be bit-part.
“They need someone who is more permanent who’s out there and available. I know Haaland is talked about a lot, he’s going to cost a lot of money.
“Harry Kane at Spurs, there’s rumours that he might want to leave there.
“I think any one of them, you take any one of them, but I think if I had to choose, then Haaland would definitely be the one.
“Purely for his age, great ability as well, the timing of his career, he’s played under Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] before…
“I think it would make sense for everyone to do it, but there’s going to be other clubs in for him which is going to be difficult.”

SunSport revealed this week that Tottenham will refuse to sell Kane, 27, to any Premier League rivals.
Meanwhile, Haaland is currently being touted around major European clubs by father Alf-Inge and agent Mino Raiola.
The duo were seen in Barcelona on Thursday for a two-hour transfer meeting before reportedly heading to Real Madrid.
And they are set to sit down with Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool – but not United – according to the Mail.
Haaland, 20, boasts 33 goals and eight assists for Dortmund this campaign with Kane on 27 and 16.
Scholes added that the England striker is still a very good option for the Red Devils but may not have the longevity of the youngster.
BETTING SPECIAL: 40/1 ON A PENALTY FOR EITHER SIDE IN MAN UTD vs BRIGHTON

The 46-year-old noted: “I love Kane, I think he’s brilliant.
“When he first came onto the scene, I likened him to Ruud van Nistelrooy.
“He’s a ruthless finisher, he’s desperate to score goals. I just think at the stages of each one’s career, then you get more out of Haaland.”

Man Utd star Van de Beek pays tribute to tragic ex-Ajax pal Abdelhak Nouri on 24th birthday after coma hell

DONNY VAN DE BEEK wished old Ajax pal Abdelhak Nouri a happy birthday as the ex-midfielder turned 24 on Friday. The former Netherlands youth international came through the Amsterdam club with Van de Beek before tragically having to retire early.
Donny van de Beek posted a birthday message to Abdelhak Nouri
During a pre-season friendly in 2017, Nouri suffered a cardiac arrhythmia and collapsed.
An investigation later found the club had ‘inadequate’ provisions in place in the event of an emergency and the player suffered severe and permanent brain damage.
Finally coming out of a coma a year later, he remained bed-bound while being cared for by his family.
As he turned 24, Nouri received several tributes from well-wishers.
Van de Beek wrote ‘Happy Birthday Appie!’ on Instagram along with a photo of the pair lining up for Ajax and a heart emoji.
Chelsea player Hakim Ziyech, another former team-mate, posted his old club’s message to his social media page, with the message: “Stay strong Appie.”

An Ajax post read: “Dear Abdelhak, 24 years… We love you and we think about you. Stay strong, great friend.”
Several friends of Nouri have taken his No34 shirt with them throughout their career, including Van de Beek.
When the United star donned the number at Old Trafford, Abdelhak’s father Mohammed explained their joy at the tribute.

He told NOS last year: “Donny called me. He asked if I was okay with him playing with No34.
“And I said he should. I can only be proud of that, it’s a nice gesture, very special for us.
“Appie’s eyes looked very sharp suddenly. He had tears of joy on his cheeks and was clearly moved when he heard Donny’s voice. Donny is like a son to us.”

The club have released a new portal to report abuse
The campaign launched today is named SEE RED.
Old Trafford’s group managing director Richard Arnold says : “We are proud that players of all ethnicities, religions and nationalities have pulled on the Manchester United jersey.
“We challenge our fans, and indeed fans of every club, to watch this and think about their own favourite memories, their top teams and their most celebrated players.
“How different would those memories be without the diversity of some of the best players in the world who have graced our game and our club?
“Sadly, footballers across the country continue to receive abuse online, seemingly without fear of censure.
“United has been, and always will be, a club for all.”
SEE RED builds on the club’s long-standing All Red All Equal anti-discrimination programme.
The video features Andy Cole, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Dwight Yorke, Rio Ferdinand, Ji-sung Park and Lauren James.

The campaign encourages fans to take responsibility for reporting incidents of racism or other hate crimes.
And to speak out and to stand up for those who may be on the receiving end of discriminatory abuse.
A reporting form, available here, can be used to report any instances online.
“The club will work with the Premier League to escalate any complaints received to the social media platforms and the relevant authorities.
United also call on social platforms to act with urgent and tough action against online racists.
Arnold adds: “We do not believe real fans are racist and we call on those fans to join us in the battle against discrimination.

Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea set to be allowed travelling fans at Champions and Europa League final if they reach it

UEFA chiefs are ready to let travelling fans into the Champions League and Europa League finals. And that is potentially great news for supporters of the five English teams left in Europe.
Istanbul could be set to welcome fans for the 2021 Champions League finalCredit: Getty

A meeting of Uefa’s ruling executive committee formally lifted the 30 per cent capacity cap on fans that was put in place in October, allowing local authorities the right to set stadium limits for the rest of this season.
Away fans remain banned for the remaining games in the last eight and semi-final stages of both competitions, which resume next week.
But Uefa will review the measures ahead of the two finals, due to be played in Gdansk and Istanbul at the end of May.
And that opens up the prospect of Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester City fans being allowed to travel to Turkey – if the UK Government assents.
While Arsenal and Manchester United supporters could be heading to Poland if their side makes the Europa League final.
Next month will see the Gunners face Slavia Prague in the quarter-final while United take on LaLiga outfit Granada.
In the Champions League, Liverpool have the small matter of Real Madrid to contend with if they hope to repeat their 2005 visit to Istanbul while City face Erling Haaland’s Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea play Porto.
The decision came as Uefa also voted to allow five substitutes per team at Euro 2020.

But the last-minute row between Uefa and the European Club Association over commercial and broadcasting rights for the revamped club competitions from 2024 meant the committee could only “unanimously” agree to hold another meeting on the new-look Champions League on April 19.
Meanwhile, the four home nations were denied the chance to qualify for next year’s women’s Under-20 World Cup.
The highest-ranked quartet of Spain, France, Germany and Holland were given automatic passes after the European U19 tournament, due to be played in Georgia, was postponed because of the pandemic.
