Boss Rangnick said: “Suppose he and his agents, or his family, at one stage of the summer think about maybe going to another club, well then he can do that — but in the summer.
“Now the window is closed. It’s got nothing to do with our next game or the game on Tuesday.”
Rashford was left out of the Red Devils starting line-up for last Sunday’s dismal derby defeat at The Etihad despite Rangnick having no other available striker.
It left the local lad considering a move away from Old Trafford for the first time.

He has 18 months left on his current contract, with an option on the club’s side to extend that by a further year.
But Rangnick insists his main concern is over how to get the best out the player over the remainder of the season.
Rashford has struggled for form, netting just five goals in 24 appearances.
Rangnick said: “We should just finish this season as well as we possibly can and then there is enough time in the summer to speak about that.”

Rangnick refused to “waste energy” ahead of today’s showdown with Tottenham by talking about Cristiano Ronaldo’s hissy-flit.
Ronaldo flew to Portugal last weekend rather than stay and support his teammates in the Manchester derby.
The 37-year-old veteran had been told ahead of the game that he would not be in the starting and then developed a hip problem.
Rangnick was not aware that he had then jetted abroad.
The German added: “I didn’t know anything about that trip. It doesn’t make sense now to waste energy and deal with it because the games we have to play now are too important.
“I decided to put my focus on the upcoming games and not waste any energy with things that happened in the last six or seven days.
“What is important is what happens in the next game, not to go through all this.”
Rangnick said he has not even bothered with a heart-to-heart with the club’s biggest name and is only concerned that he is available for selection.
He said: “I haven’t asked him if he’s happy at Manchester at this club but he’s fit again. He resumed training yesterday and we shall see which formation we will line up with against Tottenham.”

American winger Pulisic was the first to head to England in a £58million transfer switch to Chelsea.
Sancho then completed his return to these shores by joining United for £73m – becoming Dortmund’s third most-expensive ever export.

Ten Hag is only under contract until the end of the season and is currently focused on leading Ajax – who are clear at the top by two points – to the title.

The former England international, who grew up in Peckham, South London, runs his Rio Ferdinand Foundation charity which supports people aged between 10 and 25 in disadvantaged communities.
And sharing a picture of him on stage in his academic cap and graduation gown collecting his doctorate last week, he posted an emotional message.
The ex-defender wrote on Instagram: “I’m incredibly proud to be presented with a Honourary Doctor of Letters by LSBU.
“Growing up in my community, I never thought anything like this would be possible… we were made to feel there was a ceiling or to stay in your box.
“I hope it inspires young people to believe & to have a dream (like all young people should).. we need to continue to learn, to help communities and to break down the barriers that too many people face in their lives.
“Without my parents drive & ethos none of this would be possible.”
