And now Red Devils star Fernandes has fired a warning shot after he was singled out by Agbonlahor in a scathing assessment of United’s recent form.
Former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor reckons Fernandes is not pulling his weight at Old Trafford.
And he questioned why the Portuguese ace was not getting criticised like teammates Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford.
Agbonlahor said: “It’s easy to point the finger at Maguire, Ronaldo, Rashford, Sancho.

“For me, Fernandes… Since he arrived in the Premier League, yes he has had great goals and assists, but he looks like the worst teammate.
“Whenever a player or himself loses the ball, he raises his arms towards his teammates and the bench.
“I played with players like that, we would be furious with him, with that pressure. If it was Pogba? He’d be crucified in the press. But he gets away with it, he gets away with murder.
“Have you seen him do anything? It’s easy to talk about Maguire, Ronaldo, Rashford, Sancho… I can’t remember the last time Fernandes played a decent game.

“Even when he gives you the ball, he blames you. This is the type of player, Bruno Fernandes. He is the worst possible teammate.’
But Fernandes has now dismissed Agbonlahor’s comments as hearsay, claiming he does not care about the pundit’s opinion.
And instead, Fernandes prefers to hear the thoughts of his respected colleagues, such as former teammate Juan Mata.
Fernandes fired back: “It’s honestly not something that worries me too much. He’s never played with me, he doesn’t know how I am.
“Just yesterday I told my wife, who spoke to me in this interview and I said ‘you know what calms me down?’

Former Red Devils director Knighton is keen to lead a group to replace current United owners, the Glazer family.
And his new comments come as reports claim the Americans are in talks to sell a minority stake.
The club’s share prices have already jumped 12 per cent since Knighton’s initial announcement last week.
And fans will be eager for a deal to go through after United’s dreadful start under new boss Erik ten Hag.

In a fresh statement on Wednesday, Knighton claims the Glazers have “damaged” United’s brand.
The 70-year-old, who almost bought the club in 1989, has grouped together three billionaires capable of putting pressure on United’s American owners.
But Knighton hopes to enlist mega-rich businessman Ratcliffe to take the consortium’s attempts to the next level.
Ratcliffe – worth a reported £10.5BILLION – already runs French giants OGC Nice.

And Ratcliffe could be eager for a shot at English football after falling short in his attempts to replace Roman Abramovich at Chelsea.
Knighton told ITV: “They’ve damaged the brand. This is not personal against the Glazers, they just always had the wrong model.
“[My consortium?] They are small-time billionaires that I have been speaking to for three to four months now.
“When I was approached by some fan groups, oddly enough, saying ‘look, our club is dying on its feet’ would you please do something?’
“I made a few phone calls and I’ve been pulling this consortium together ever since.
“We are not the great Sir Jim Ratcliffe. We do not have those resources. We are not some nation state sovereign fund who has oil revenue of two billion a day.
“The point is: someone had to make a stand.

But because Martinez, signed to play centre-back, stands at just 5ft 9in.
Those who questioned the Argentine’s height watched gleefully as he was given the run-around in United’s defeats to Brighton and Brentford.
Even Red Devils fans are calling for a change in plan, with many now urging Ten Hag to deploy Martinez as a holding midfielder.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher echoed those feelings last night on Sky Sports, declaring: “Now, we should never judge managers or players too early, but I’m convinced this can’t work because the size of him playing in a back four.

Indeed, some of the best-ever defenders have been under the 6ft mark.
And judging by the success of the following legends, who proved that size isn’t everything, there is surely some hope for Martinez and United yet…

Man Utd chiefs told Erik ten Hag to keep expectations ‘realistic’ ahead of the new Premier League season

MANCHESTER UNITED chiefs reportedly told Erik ten Hag to keep expectations “realistic” for the new season. But the Dutchman instead talked UP United’s chances to boost player morale in his squad.

ESPN claims Ten Hag went against the wishes of higher-ups by telling his newly-inherited squad they can make a big impact this term.
United finished sixth last season after numerous underwhelming performances with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick at the helm.
The bulk of the squad still remains, with only three new players signed so far.
But despite Rangnick’s public criticism of United during his time at the club, Ten Hag has decided to go in the opposite direction.

Club chiefs then informed Ten Hag to keep expectations realistic while they set about making new signings.
But the former Ajax boss felt it was better to go in another direction.

That’s despite being personally aware that fresh faces were desperately needed ahead of the season opener against Brighton.
Ten Hag was then hit with a dose of reality when United crashed to a 2-1 home defeat against the Seagulls.
Since losing, they have been linked with Bologna’s Marko Arnautovic and Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot – much to the displeasure of fans.
United’s pursuit of Arnautovic has since been abandoned.
But it’s reckoned Rabiot was on Ten Hag’s radar before the Brighton defeat.
And initial contact was made with the Frenchman 24 hours before United’s Old Trafford humiliation.
Ten Hag now has a chance to shake things up for Saturday’s visit to Brentford.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Tyrell Malacia will all be pushing to start in a must-win game for United.

Man Utd’s incredible decline under Glazers revealed with staggeringly slow growth compared to rivals on stock exchange

MANCHESTER UNITED’S incredible decline under the Glazers has been revealed through their staggeringly slow growth on the stock exchange. It comes amid reports of a “hostile” takeover attempt by former United director Michael Knighton, 17 years after the Glazers bought United for £790million.
Man Utd’s share prices and finances have taken a hit under the GlazersCredit: Getty
Financial writer Kieran Maguire made the revelation a decade after the Glazers first listed United on the New York Stock Exchange.
The opening share price on that day was $14.
And incredibly, if a person had invested £1,000 in shares back then, today that money would be worth just £814.
The figure looks even bleaker against other sporting institutions, with a grand invested in Juventus now returning £2k.

With Formula One, you’d have £2,564 in your pocket.
And even American baseball team Atlanta Braves would have returned £1,585.
Maguire adds that the dip in value is a recent one, with share prices at $19.37 last September when United re-signed Cristiano Ronaldo.
But a forward-facing market combined with the team’s poor performances – and a desperate need to upgrade Old Trafford – has resulted in a sharp decline.

Elsewhere, total interest charged under the Glazer ownership is a staggering £855m.
That in itself would pay for another TEN Harry Maguire’s – the most expensive defender in world football at £80m.
Net debt is at £627m – more than the £590m in 2006.
And United’s transfer debt is also £184m – the highest it has been since 2008.
Meanwhile £154m in dividends has been taken by shareholders – mainly the Glazers – since 2016.
Income did soar from £159m in 2005 to £627m in 2019.
But that fell to £494m last year as United struggled for consistency on the pitch.

And there is a bleak outlook for unhappy supporters – who are planning an “Empty Old Trafford” protest for the August 22 game against Liverpool – as the Glazers own shares that carry a whopping TEN votes – compared to just one vote for regular investors.
The same structure is seen mainly in tech, with Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg and Tesla head Elon Musk employing the same tactic. More
