But according to Calciomercato, Ten Hag and United could miss out on their top target to Serie A giants Juventus.
The Serie A side are said to have “intensified” talks with the Brazilian’s representatives in the hopes of signing him this summer.
Antony could be picked up for a bargain fee of around £29million.

FLAMENGO have withdrawn their offer to sign Manchester United outcast Andreas Pereira in a dramatic U-turn, reports suggest.According to Esporte, the Brazilian giants looked set to bid almost £9million for Pereira, who has been playing for them on loan since last year, but had a change of heart at the eleventh hour.

The midfielder’s lacklustre performances in the last two months combined with the club’s legal issues with the Central Bank are said to be behind the withdrawal.
Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim has pulled the brakes on all signings until the court case is concluded.
This comes after club representatives Marcos Braz and Bruno Spindel flew to Manchester in February to negotiate a deal with United.
But even during that time, Braz and Spindel were warned by other Flamengo officials that this investment would be risky.

West Ham and Southampton were also in the running for the 29-year-old but have now dropped out, it’s claimed.
Johnstone’s contract with the Baggies is up at the end of the season, and he has no intention of signing a new one, the report states.
It’s also claimed that West Brom boss Steve Bruce is resigned to Johnstone’s exit when the current campaign concludes.

Man Utd hoping Erling Haaland STAYS at Dortmund so club are forced into selling transfer target Manuel Akanji

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly hoping that Borussia Dortmund keep hold of Erling Haaland this summer so they are forced to sell Manuel Akanji. Man Utd are said to be interested in the centre-back and if star striker Haaland isn’t sold then Dortmund could have little choice but to sell Akanji for financial reasons.

However, with the likes of Man City and PSG keen on 21-year-old Norway international Haaland, Dortmund will bank his £64m release clause if he chooses to leave.
