Man Utd to launch last-minute Jadon Sancho transfer bid and are confident Dortmund will accept under £108million

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to launch a last-minute bid for Jadon Sancho – and are confident Borussia Dortmund will be forced to accept a cut-price fee.
The Red Devils missed out on the England ace after failing to negotiate a transfer fee before Borussia Dortmund’s August 10 deadline.

United hoped to convince the German giants to sell for a deal closer to £60m up front, with the remainder of their £108million valuation paid in instalments.
But Dortmund held firm and ruled out the sale of Sancho, as United looked elsewhere – despite having agreed personal terms with the 20-year-old.
As well as taking a look at Watford ace Ismaila Sarr, the Red Devils had hoped to sign Gareth Bale.
However, Tottenham appear to have won the race for the Real Madrid outcast on a season-long loan deal.

Now, Man Utd have turned their attention back to Sancho and will test Dortmund’s mettle with an 11th-hour bid, just before the window closes on October 5.
The Transfer Window Podcast claimed United officials will wait until the FINAL week of the transfer window to launch their next bid.
Red Devils bosses hope the late move will pile pressure on the Bundesliga giants and tempt them to cash-in while they can.
Dortmund are keen to hold out for the full £108m, with Sancho under contract at the club until June 2023.

But on more than one occasion, bosses at the German side have conceded they know they are destined to lose their winger sooner rather than later.
As early as LAST summer club chief Michael Zorc admitted “you don’t have to be a prophet” to realise Sancho’s future is elsewhere.
And while Dortmund have been open in their willingness to allow Sancho to leave at some stage, they’ve been adamant they won’t let him walk cheaply.
Just this week, Dortmund boss Lucien Favre admitted: “We need him, no question. Everyone was happy he stayed.”
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly spoken to the rising england star and assured him a deal is close to being agreed, such is the club’s confidence.
It now just appears to be a matter of time before Man Utd launch one last, late bid.

Donny van de Beek celebrates Man Utd transfer by splashing out on £150,000 luxury Range Rover SVAutobiography

DONNY VAN DE BEEK has splashed out £150,000 on a swanky new Range Rover.
Manchester United’s new star wasted no time in investing in the luxury set of wheels after his £39million transfer from Ajax went through earlier this month.

The Range Rover SVAutobiography can cost up to £177k

Pictures from the Guy Salmon dealership in Knutsford, Cheshire show a black Range Rover SVAutobiography sitting on the forecourt with Van de Beek’s name on it.
A green “SOLD” sticker was attached to the windscreen with the Dutchman’s name spelled incorrectly.
It read: “MUFC – Van der Beek. Sales executive name: Chris Aven.”
The flash motors are available from £140k for the basic model up to an eye-watering £177k for personalised packages.

SunSport understands Van de Beek paid £150k for his.
United fans across the world are excited to see Van de Beek play for the first time against Crystal Palace tomorrow.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to start the 23-year-old alongside Bruno Fernandes for the Old Trafford clash.
Elsewhere, former United No1 and Ajax CEO Edwin van der Sar can see similarities between Van de Beek and Old Trafford legend Paul Scholes.

Asked what United can expect from Van de Beek, the ex-keeper told MUTV Group Chat: “He can play in different positions in midfield.
“He can be a six or an eight or a ten, he has a great eye for goal. His technique is brilliant, he can go box to box.
“I’d compare him a little bit to Scholesy, although Scholesy had a cracker of a shot from 30-40 yards out and that’s not Donny’s strength, but he likes to come into the box and chip in with goals.
“Maybe it’s unfair to compare him to Scholesy actually, but he’s a good lad and I’m sure he’ll be a great addition to the team that Ole is creating for United.
“I presume he’s had a talk with Ole and they’ve talked about different positions [he can play].
“He’s multi-functional, he can play a little bit deeper which I think is his preferred role.”

Man Utd outcast Chris Smalling wanted by Inter Milan in season-long loan transfer with obligation to buy as Roma stall

MANCHESTER UNITED outcast Chris Smalling is wanted by Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan.
The 30-year-old England defender is not part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for this season.

    1

Inter Milan want to sign Man Utd defender Chris Smalling

He is being forced to train away from the main Red Devils squad, as talks over a transfer continue.
And Inter have now joined rivals Roma in chasing the centre-back, who wants a return to Italy.
The Nerazzurri are prepared to pick-up his £120,000-a-week wages for the entirety of his 12-month loan deal.
And SunSport understands there will also be an obligation to buy Smalling at the end of the move.

Roma are still trying to land the ex-Fulham ace after his successful spell with the club last year.
But they are growing frustrated with negotiations and are NOT willing to pay his full weekly wages.
It is understood Smalling – contracted at United until 2022 – is desperate to return to Serie A, but could be forced to stay in England with Fulham interested.
Conte has snapped-up a number of Premier League stars in recent years including Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young.

However, Inter are looking to offload defenders before making a move for Smalling, to raise funds.
Diego Godin is closing in on a switch to Cagliari while Milan Skriniar is being eyed in a £60m move by PSG.
Elsewhere, it emerged today United youngster James Garner has joined Watford on a season-long loan.

Garner has played in League Cup games and Europe but the chance of regular domestic football swayed the deal.
Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday both wanted the England youth ace aswell.
But Watford made their decisive move and he joined them for training.
And the Red Devils know their talented teen will get plenty of action as they bid for instant promotion.

The starlet will wear squad number 16 and is available for selection as the Hornets visit Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow.
Garner made his Premier League debut for United in February 2019 against Crystal Palace.
And afterwards Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed his hope of transforming him into the next Michael Carrick.

The United boss said: “He knows we believe in him, we’ve got great faith in him as the next Michael Carrick.

“I know he’s young and I know it’s not fair on kids to compare great players like Michael was, but he’s the same mould.
“He plays simple passes through the lines.
“Michael had the pressure of coming in after Roy Keane, so that’s just the way it is at Man United.”

Scholes and his family – including his three children – have lived at the luxurious 13,000sq ft property for 21 years.
The former England star bought the pad soon after the 1998 World Cup.
The mansion is described as one of the “finest homes in Saddleworth”, in Greater Manchester, and features no fewer than seven bedrooms.
Scholes’ home – which was redesigned and refurbished in full in 2015 – also features its very own football pitch, home gym and putting green.

Sticking with the sporting theme, the mansion even features a netball court, with daughter Alicia, 18, on the brink of breaking into the Manchester Thunder team.
The Saddleworth property also comes kitted out with a separate “executive detached house” in the landscape grounds.
Other incredible perks include a steam room, sauna, indoor heated swimming pool, home cinema and games room.
But now it appears the Scholeses will be leaving their family home after Paul and Claire split.

They added: “You have to feel for them as they both value family above everything else.
“They’ve been together forever and nobody saw this coming.”
Scholes – who grew up on a council estate, seemingly worlds away from their Saddleworth home – met Claire in his local pub when they were 18.
    They married six years later.
Scholes, believed to have a £27million fortune, often shared pictures of him and Claire, but the last one on his Instagram page was in February.

Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo arrive at Man Utd’s Carrington to train away from squad as pair wait for transfers away

CHRIS SMALLING and Marcos Rojo arrived at Carrington on Thursday morning to train separately from the rest of the Manchester United squad.
The Red Devils defenders are both expected to quit Old Trafford this summer after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed they were not in his plans.

Smalling spent last season on loan at Roma, while Rojo spent much of 2019-20 back in Argentina with Estudiantes.
And the pair arrived at the Aon Training Complex on Thursday morning to continue training away from the rest of the first-team.
Smalling arrived in his silver Ferrari, while Rojo drove his Cadillac Escalade into Carrington just before 8am.
The ex-Fulham defender, 30, is expected to leave the club before Man Utd’s Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Newcastle, Everton, West Ham and Fulham have all been linked with the Londoner in recent weeks.
However, Roma – Smalling’s home for 2019-20 – are expected to win the race.
The only stumbling block now appears to be the cost – with the Italians desperate to talk United down from their £20m valuation.
Smalling currently has two years left on his Old Trafford contract but was left out of the 2020-21 season photoshoot earlier this week – fuelling talk of a departure.

Meanwhile, Rojo, also 30, has long been tipped with a move away having struggled with injuries for years.
With Solskjaer at the helm, Rojo failed to break into the first-team last term and was eventually shipped off to Argentina to spend the second-half of the season at boyhood club Estudiantes.
However, as things stand, there appear to be no serious suitors for the Argentine, with United forced to consider keeping him at the club.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘tells Jadon Sancho Man Utd deal is close’ with pair ‘in regular contact’ as negotiations continue

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly spoken to Jadon Sancho to assure him that a deal is close to being agreed.

Personal terms are already said to have been agreed with Sancho, but as of yet, the Red Devils have been reluctant to fork out the huge sum of money.
This has led to the club to fear missing out on him next year, with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool known to be interested.
But, according to Norwegian news outlet Dagbladet via the Metro, Solskjaer has been in constant contact with Sancho this summer.
They state that the ex-Cardiff gaffer recently assured the England international that he will be a United player by the end of the window.

United have until October 5 to secure his services, otherwise they run the risk of not signing him at all.
Speaking to Keystone-SDA about the winger recently, Dortmund boss Lucien Favre spoke of his delight that the forward will be remaining in Germany.
He said: “We need him, no question. Everyone was happy that he stayed.
