Man Utd new 2021-22 away kit ‘leaked online’ with striking resemblance to iconic retro white and blue kit worn by Giggs

MANCHESTER UNITED’S new away kit for the 2021-22 has seemingly been leaked online, with fans quickly falling in love.Renowned kit-leak website Footy Headlines have shared what they believe to be United’s away strip for next season.

The top will see new sponsor TeamViewer across the front for the first time from January 2022.
But all eyes are instead locked on the iconic, retro colour scheme.
The top bears blue and white zig-zags across the front and even features adidas’ old ‘Trefoil’ logo, rather than the modern day three stripes.
And fans have been left thrilled with the throwback jersey – most-famously worn by Ryan Giggs in his debut season.
United wore the eerily-similar blue and white kit between 1990-91 and 1991-92 just as the Welsh winger was breaking into the first-team.
Other big names to wear the shirt include Paul Ince, Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce, Gary Pallister, Denis Irwin and Bryan Robson.
Man Utd won the League Cup in 1991-92 wearing the blue and white strip – as they edged past Nottingham Forest.
Fans quickly took to social media to show the new kit some love.

Carragher takes hilarious pop at Gary Neville after digging up two-month old tweet about Man Utd on Thursday nights

JAMIE CARRAGHER has trolled his Sky Sports mate Gary Neville after Manchester United were sent tumbling out of the FA Cup by Leicester. Two goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and a Youri Tielemans solo-strike helped the Foxes to a relatively easy triumph against a lethargic United on Sunday.

Jamie Carragher poked fun at Gary Neville and Manchester United’s FA Cup exit
Mason Greenwood netted what proved to be a consolation as United were left to reflect on just having the Europa League as a realistic trophy to win this season.
Carragher retweeted a tweet Neville shared on January 21, that read: “Football on Thursday Nights ain’t that bad.”
The former Liverpool centre-half added: “Especially when you’ve got f**k all else!”
United legend Neville was ‘demoralised’ after the club’s FA Cup exit and has hit out at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for rotating the team.
Boss Solskjaer made five changes from the side that beat AC Milan 1-0 at the San Siro on Thursday, and Neville cannot understand why he rotated for such an important game.
Speaking on his podcast with Sky Sports, he said: “It had been a good week. Not surprising that they go to Milan and did what they did, they are good away from home, then beating West Ham last week.
“I’m surprised the team was weakened against Leicester, I’m surprised he (Solskjaer) rotated as much, I know he has been doing that, but this was a real chance.
“If you think the semi-final draw that occurred at half-time of that game which meant the winner of the Leicester vs Manchester United tie would play Southampton.

“It is not a gimme against Southampton by any stretch of the imagination, but what an opportunity and I genuinely believe that that group of players need to win a trophy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.”
Before adding: “Yes, of course finishing second would be the priority at the start of the season, but winning a trophy with that would be a real priority and now they only have the Europa League left.
“Leicester have a decent record, but I was in the car listening to it on the radio and they go behind and you think ‘here we go’ and you are not surprised with United.
“But they got back in the game and then you see the second and third ones and you think that could be a massive missed opportunity.
“I am demoralised a little bit as a Manchester United fan as I thought that was a really good one to go for this season.”
Solskjaer claimed after the Leicester defeat that their busy schedule and their trip to Italy played a key part in their FA Cup exit.

Gary Neville slams Man Utd for ‘massive missed opportunity’ of winning FA Cup and landing trophy after Leicester loss

Kelechi Iheanacho opened the scoring as he latched onto a poor pass from Fred, before Mason Greenwood fired the visitors back on level terms before the break.
Youri Tielemans then put the Foxes back in front with a low strike into the bottom left corner, with Iheanacho grabbing his second of the game with a header in the 78th minute.

Man Utd in Erling Haaland transfer boost ‘as star eyes QUITTING Dortmund if they fail to qualify for Champions League’

MANCHESTER UNITED have been given a boost in their pursuit of Erling Haaland – with the striker set to QUIT this summer if Borussia Dortmund miss out on the Champions League, according to reports. The Norwegian wonderkid, 20, showed his frustration on Saturday as he stormed off the pitch following his side’s 2-2 draw with Koln.

Haaland scored twice including a last-gasp equaliser to salvage a point for his side.
But he was left fuming as he hurled his shirt aside and raced down the tunnel.
Dortmund now sit fifth in the Bundesliga, a massive 18 points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich.
Worryingly, they’re four points adrift of Eintracht Frankfurt in the final Champions League spot.
And now, AS have claimed Haaland could walk away from Dortmund this summer, with Man Utd and Real Madrid poised, if they miss out on a seat at Europe’s top table.
The Spanish publication has even claimed Haaland has spoken to his agent, Mino Raiola, to make it crystal clear he wants to quit if Champions League football is off the table at the Westfalenstadion.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to add a new centre-forward to his ranks in the coming months.
Edinson Cavani looks set to quit the club after just one season and return to South America, according to his father.

Meanwhile, the likes of Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford have failed to shine centrally, performing at their best from wider positions.
And Solskjaer has targeted Haaland – with whom he worked at Molde – as his No1 transfer target.
However, Real Madrid are believed to be in pole position for the in-demand striker.
Los Blancos are claimed to have an option to sign Haaland for just £63million NEXT summer, when his release clause kicks in.
Madrid were hoping to sign Paris Saint-Germain ace Kylian Mbappe this year and partner him with Haaland in 2022.
But they may now decide to break the bank for Haaland this summer – in a deal in excess of £100million – in order to keep him away from fellow suitors such as Man Utd.
Haaland has 33 goals in 31 games this season, including 21 in 21 Bundesliga matches.

Leicester 3 Man Utd 1: In-from Iheanacho punishes dreadful Red Devils to fire Foxes to Wembley clash with Southampton

WELL, there will be no ego boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the FACup after this. The Manchester United boss had downplayed the significance of winningknock-out competitions – then backed up his words by benching his bestplayer, Bruno Fernandes.

It was a real head-in-hands game for United boss Ole Gunnar SolskjaerCredit: Paul Marriott
And the result was a comprehensive defeat by an outstanding Leicesterside, who booked their first FA Cup semi-final for 39 years thanks toa double from their in-form striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
It was United’s first domestic away defeat for 14 months and it was ahorror show for midfield man Fred, as well as skipper Harry Maguire, who produced a car-crash showing on his return to the King Power.
Solskjaer had claimed that league form is the true measure of progressand that winning Cups can often be used to boost managerial egoes -and we all wondered which Portuguese predecessor of his he could havebeen referring to.
But, really, after four semi-final defeats in the past two seasons, who was he trying to kid?
When the winners of this quarter-final were paired with Southamptonduring the half-time draw for the semis, both would have come outsmiling, knowing they have thrashed the Saints 9-0 in the recent past.
Yet Leicester dominated for the opening hour, Iheanacho benefittingfrom a horrible mix-up between Maguire and Fred, then Youri Tielemansnetting a classy second after Mason Greenwood’s equaliser.
The Foxes weathered a brief storm after the introduction of Fernandes, before Iheanacho wrapped it up, unmarked from a set-piece to sum upUnited’s dozy overall performance.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has never reached a major Cup Final inEnglish football – with semi-final defeats against Aston Villa withboth Liverpool and Leicester.

But he will fancy his chances now. Despite a raft of injuries,Leicester are enjoying a hell of a season – on roure for ChampionsLeague qualification and an FA Cup Final.
Solskajer had taken the bold move of benching his great creativeinfluence Fernandes, giving a rare start to Donny Van de Beek – akaVan de Bench – at the front of a midfield diamond.
The United boss also dropped his in-form left-back Luke Shaw – newlyrestored to the England squad.
Rodgers was ballsy from the off, with a front three of Jamie Vardy,Iheanacho and Ayoze Perez.
And Vardy had the first clear sight on goal after 17 minutes forcingDean Henderson to plunge and push out a shot after Fred sloppilyconceded possession to Iheanacho.

Then another Fred slip and Vardy was bursting forward again – thistime having a shock blocked by his old mate Harry Maguire.
And on 25 minutes, the third scoring opportunity of the match – andthe third provided by a Fred mishap – brought the opening goal.
As United attempted to play it out of their own area, Maguire sentsomething of a hospital ball to Fred – under pressure from Tielemans.
The Brazilian panicked with a weak back-pass, snapped up by Iheanachowho rounded Henderson to tap home.
It was a shocker for United but Iheanacho’s sixth goal in four gameswas no more than Leicester deserved for the tempo and intent of theirplay.

Maguire was then booked for bringing down Iheanacho, who had kipperedhim on the edge of the box.
United were floundering in defence and devoid of inspiration goingforward – until they suddenly levelled on 38 minutes.
Paul Pogba neatly turned Wesley Fofana on the left and his centre wasdummied by Van de Beek, allowing Greenwood to lash home first time.

Solskjaer almost looked embarrassed, such had been the paucity of hisside’s play until that point.
After another wildly mistimed attempt at a tackle from Fred, Perezcurled a powerful shot narrowly wide.
After the break, Leicester were straight back at United’s throats.
Tielemans drove forward, exchanged passes with Iheanacho, taking out asluggish Nemanja Matic in the process then steering home pastHenderson from the edge of the box.
There had been a failed attempt at a tackle from – you guessed it – Fred.
20 – Alongside Sergio Agüero (21), Kelechi Ịheanachọ is the only other player within the English game to have netted 20+ goals across the two domestic cup competitions since his debut for Manchester City in August 2015 (12 in the FA Cup, 8 in the League Cup). Alex Telles thundered a shot narrowly wide as United showed a littleattacking intent.
But Vardy should have buried United soon after, Wilfried Ndidi winningpossession, Iheanacho releasing last season’s Golden Boot winner, whoskinned Maguire but shot wide and kicked the goal-post in frustration.
Vardy has scored just once since Christmas, the idea that he carriesthis team is old hat.
Then a quadruple substitution from Solskajer – Fernandes, Shaw, ScottMcTominay and Edinson Cavani on for Pogba, Telles, Matic and Van deBeek – Fred somehow escaping the cull.

United instantly livened up – Fernandes pinging crossfield balls, Shawrampaging, McTominay commanding and Cavani menacing.
But after they’d enjoyed their best spell of the match, United fellasleep at a set-piece and conceded the third.
Marc Albrighton delivered the free-kick from the left and Iheanachosnuck in behind McTominay and beyond the far post, to head home.
The Foxes are on their way to Wembley – as United look to end afour-year trophy drought, it is the Europa League or bust.

Watch Fred blunder gift Kelechi Iheanacho a Leicester opener in nightmare start for Man Utd in FA Cup quarter-final

FRED made an absolute shocker of a blunder to gift Leicester an early lead in their FA Cup win over Manchester United. The Brazilian saw his lame backpass to Dean Henderson intercepted by Kelechi Iheanacho who lashed home in the 24th minute.

It was a deserved lead for Leicester who dominated the early stages at the King Power Stadium.
That was Iheanacho’s 15th goal in 22 starts in English domestic cup competitions.
And it was his 10th in 11 FA Cup games.
But for Fred, there was no praise incoming.
United fans were furious on social media for the sloppy play of the 28-year-old midfielder.
Farahan Omar wrote on Twitter that she will ‘celebrate the day Fred leaves this football club’.
Another added that he should ‘be sold this summer’ as he is ‘not getting any better’.
And United fan ‘Ryan’ hilariously tweeted: “I see Fletcher and Carrick on the bench. Can we sub one of them on for Fred?”

‘Dreadful’, ‘assist of the season’ and ‘horrible’ were just some of the other tweets describing Fred’s error.
Harry Maguire also came in for some criticism for his pass into the Brazilian, but it’s Fred who will have to take the flack for this one.
And it set United on the wrong course as the uncharacteristally lethargic Red Devils slumped to a 3-1 defeat as Youri Tielemans, and Iheanacho again, netted in the second half to earn the Foxes a semi-final clash vs Southampton.

Tensions threatened to boil over following the full-time whistle after a comment made by McKenna, with Pioli also annoyed by his perceived time wasting.
According to Italian media, 34-year-old McKenna told Pioli “good team,” with the ex-Fiorentina gaffer taking offence at what he said.
Corriere dello Sport report that Pioli responded: “Good team my a***.
“You are nothing but an a******. Your sister has a good team.”
But speaking on Friday to Italian news agency ANSA, Pioli apologised for his words.
He said: “I’m sorry for the reaction I had, it won’t happen again.
“I congratulated Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. I was angry with his assistant.”
Milan sources also say that the phrase ‘your sister’ was used as a figure of speech and not as any kind of personal attack on McKenna or his family.

Pioli had addressed his frustration that Milan crashed out of Europe despite having the ascendancy going into the second leg.
The Rossoneri scored a vital away goal at Old Trafford last week as they snatched a dramatic 1-1 draw, but they couldn’t get on the score sheet on their own patch.
Milan’s season is starting to falter as they trail Serie A leaders Inter by nine points after Sunday’s defeat to Napoli.
Speaking after Thursday’s result, Pioli stated: “It’s an elimination that really disappoints us, because over the two legs we played like a great team and should’ve scored in the first half.

“It’s a pity, we did so much to get here and the team deserved to continue, but we had to give it a little bit more. I don’t think we deserved to go out.
“We are talking about a Manchester United side that reached the Europa League semi-final last season, that was in the Champions league group phase this term and two weeks ago beat Manchester City 2-0.
“Over the two legs, we did so much right, but the two goals we conceded were more down to our own errors than their credit, that’s what is disappointing.
“It becomes difficult for me to reproach my lads after two performances with heart, spirit, determination, courage and quality.
