      Man Utd’s Amad Diallo joins Rangers until end of the season in loan transfer after Anthony Elanga takes first-team spot

      MANCHESTER UNITED’S AMAD DIALLO has joined Scottish Premiership champions Rangers until the end of the season.The 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger has made only nine first-team appearances since joining the Red Devils in a £37million switch from Italian side Atalanta a year ago.

      And Anthony Elanga’s recent run of games out wide has further limited his chances of getting minutes for United.
      Diallo said: “I am delighted to join Rangers until the end of the season.
      “It is fantastic for me at this stage of my career to have the opportunity to come to such a big club that is challenging on a number of fronts and will give me some excellent opportunities to test myself in many environments.
      “I look forward to training with my team-mates for the first-time tomorrow and to meeting the fans for the first time at Ross County on Saturday.”
      Boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst currently has Rangers top of the league and is delighted to complete the move for the teenager who still only has 17 first-team appearances in his career for Atalanta, United and Ivory Coast combined.

      “He is a player who I have been aware of for some time, and when the opportunity to sign him came up, we were very keen to make it happen. He will add a lot to our squad and provide even more competition for the players in the forward areas.”

      And despite being away from the pitch, he still managed to leave his followers in awe as the ‘proud dad’ posted his adorable photo on Instagram.
      Ronaldo knelt on both knees and could not hide his pride as his two girls – Alana and Eva – and two boys – Cristiano Ronaldo Jr and Mateo, cuddled in front of him on the beach as the sun set in the background.
      He captioned it with the words ‘Proud Dad [heart emoji]’ and soon had nearly four million likes.
      With the Red Devils not in action again until the FA Cup clash against Middlesbrough on February 4, Ronaldo has plenty of time to rest and recuperate.
      And he has been enjoying his time in the sun with a relaxing massage, courtesy of his own personal physio.
      Ronaldo gave fans a thumbs up in a picture posted to his Instagram account, while being given the once over from his physio Javier Santamaria.

      ANTHONY ELANGA is eligible to play for England but Sweden are confident the Red Devils winger will stick with them.The FA are aware that Elanga, 19, who joined Manchester United’s academy at the age of 12, has lived in the UK long enough to represent the Three Lions.

      Elanga, the son of former Cameroon defender Joseph Elanga, was born in Sweden, played for Swedish side Malmo at a very early age and has represented the country’s Under-21s eight times.

      And the 19-year-old scored in the crucial 3-1 away victory over Brentford.
      On Elanga’s goal, boss Ralf Rangnick said: “He followed up on his performance at Villa Park. He was outstanding in the second half, a lot of work against the ball and a goal.”
      Swedish senior manager Janne Andersson hoped to include him in a scheduled 24-man tour of Portugal this week.

      Borussia Dortmund targeting in-form Man Utd star Diogo Dalot transfer after failing to land right-back last summer

      BORUSSIA DORTMUND were plotting a January transfer swoop for Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot.The Portuguese star, 22, arrived at Old Trafford back in 2018 on a five-year contract following a big-money move from Porto.

      However, he struggled to make an impact and soon found himself out of favour after several injury battles and due to the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
      The right-back has impressed for United in recent weeks, and is now the preferred choice at right-back for interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
      Dalot spent last season on loan at AC Milan, and had been linked with another move away in the summer.
      AC Milan had been keen on taking him on loan again, but a move failed to materialise.
      Now Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that German giants Dortmund failed to get him at the start of the season.
      But the Portuguese international instead decided to stay at United and fight for his place and he is taking full advantage of Wan-Bissaka’s injury.

      Undeterred, Dortmund were planning to make another attempt to get the defender when the transfer window re-opened this month but his fine run of form under Ralf Rangnick has scuppered those hopes.

      The Hammers limited United to few chances and VAR only ruled Cavani onside for the winner by the tiniest of margins.
      But Rangnick told Sky Sports: “The atmosphere (in the dressing room) is amazing. Quite rightly the boys were celebrating. They know what a massive win this was.
      “Those are the best kind of wins when the other team has not time to come back. 
      “We are extremely happy with the performance and the level of physicality we played with bearing in mind we played three days ago at Brentford.
      “We didn’t always find the best solutions in the final third. In the last 20 minutes we had too many shots on goal when there was no realistic chance to score. 
      “We needed to be a bit more patient, but in the end it was about taking all three points.
