LUKE SHAW was slammed by Manchester United fans after playing a goalscorer onside for the second time in five days.The left-back, 26, failed to get up level with the rest of his defenders at Old Trafford just after half-time today.

And that allowed Che Adams to get in behind and equalise for Southampton three minutes into the second half with a neat finish off the post.
On Tuesday, Shaw was also the last man at Turf Moor as Jay Rodriguez beat his trap to level for Burnley – after setting up Paul Pogba’s opener.
Fans on Twitter ripped into the England full-back – as plenty called for substitute Alex Telles to return to the starting XI.
One said: “Man Utd conceding a goal down their right with Luke Shaw playing the goalscorer onside. Sounds familiar.”

ANTHONY MARTIAL registered a glorious assist on his second appearance for Sevilla which left Manchester United fans wondering where that talent had been in the first half of the season.United loaned Martial out to Sevilla in January and the 26-year-old has been an instant hit in LaLiga.

After being told by Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui that he has to ‘give more’ after his debut, Martial marked his second game with an assist.
In Sevilla’s clash against Elche on Sunday Martial gathered a long ball over the top on the left hand side from ex-Barcelona man Ivan Rakitic.
And on his weaker left foot he lifted a delicious cross into the Elche boss.
It landed straight in the path of striker Rafa Mir, who duly plonked his header into the back of the net to help Sevilla to a precious 2-0 win.
The three points keeps them second in LaLiga just three points off leaders Real Madrid, although Los Blancos do have a game in hand.
Martial was also involved in the build-up to Alejandro Gomez’s opener and was given a standing ovation by Sevilla fans when substituted in the 82nd minute.

The FA demanded an explanation from the current Derby manager, although former Blues skipper John Terry appeared to see the funny side.
Now Rooney has rowed back on his comments, which were made in an interview to promote a new documentary about his life.
Rooney said: “I have given my response to the FA as asked and I will wait for what comes back from that.

The Telegraph claims Pochettino could leave Paris Saint-Germain and replace Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford.
He is believed to be the top choice for United players after his fine work at Spurs.
And it’s reckoned Pochettino will instruct Red Devils chiefs to target former forward Kane should he leave France.
The pair forged a strong relationship together in London, with Spurs regularly challenging for the Premier League title and narrowly missing out on Champions League glory in 2019.
Kane made no secret of his desire to quit Tottenham last summer in a £130million move to Manchester City.
And with just two years left on his deal this summer, the 28-year-old England captain could jump at the chance of a reunion with Poch.

Discussing his new Amazon Prime Video documentary Rooney, Matt Smith admitted he was surprised by how competitive Rooney is.
He told ITV’s Lorraine, which airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and ITV Hub: “It just surprised me how competitive Wayne Rooney is and that’s probably because he’s a sportsman.

MANCHESTER UNITED interim boss Ralf Rangnick hasn’t won everybody over in the Old Trafford dressing room with his coaching team. A mixed bag of results leaves Manchester United in sixth place in the Premier League table, with Cristiano Ronaldo also firing blanks in front of goal.

Since being appointed as temporary boss in December Rangnick is said to have left many of his coaching sessions to assistant Chris Armas.
And Armas’ methods have led to grumbles among players, with ESPN claiming some of the squad believe his and Rangnick’s ways are ‘old fashioned’.
And the ribbing doesn’t stop there.
It’s also reported some players have jokingly likened Armas to TV comedy character Ted Lasso.
Lasso is a hapless football coach from America, played by Jason Sudeikis, appointed at fictional team AFC Richmond in the self titled show on Apple TV+.
Armas himself is American and played 66 times for the USA national team.

But his pedigree as a coach isn’t exactly of the highest degree.
The 49-year-old had a spell managing MLS outfit Toronto FC last year – but was sacked after just two wins in 15 games.

The United squad are not thought to be fans of Rangnick’s 11 vs 11 training drills catered towards improving organisation and shape.
Stars at the club reportedly prefer dynamic drills that are better for honing their skills as opposed to replicating a match scenario.
They won’t have to put up with it for much longer though, with Rangnick set to move into a consultancy role at the end of the season.
Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and ex-Barcelona manager Luis Enrique are both in the running to take up the Old Trafford hot-seat.
Although neither of them are the favourite to take over the reigns from Rangnick.
That honour instead falls to Ajax boss Erik ten Hag, who is also interim gaffer Rangnick’s first choice for the role.
