Man Utd ‘ready to hijack Liverpool’s Fabio Carvalho transfer after sending scouts to watch Fulham wonderkid’

MANCHESTER UNITED are attempting to hijack Liverpool’s bid to sign Fabio Carvalho this summer, according to reports.A Kop deal for Fulham wonderkid Carvalho, 19, collapsed at the final hurdle in January.

Now the Daily Star have reported that sources inside Old Trafford say that United are scouting the wonderkid.
After watching the attacker score against Man City in the FA Cup, Red Devils scouts have checked him out ‘twice more since’.
And they’ve been so impressed that they may muscle in with an offer this summer.
Arch-enemies Liverpool agreed a deal in January only to fail to get the necessary paperwork signed by the 11pm window deadline.
It is believed that the deal involved a loan back to the London club.
Carvalho was born in Portugal and initially played for Benfica’s youth team before moving to England at the age of 10 .

MASTERS FOOTBALL is making a long-awaited return after 11 years.Paul Scholes, Wes Brown and Steve McManaman are some of the former stars expected to turn out in July for a tournament featuring Manchester United, Liverpool, Celtic and Rangers.

Masters football originally ran on Sky Sports from 2000-2011, including the likes of Roy Keane, Bryan Robson, Andy Cole, Ian Rush, Ally McCoist and Matt Le Tissier.
It is now being relaunched by sports documentary streaming site 360 Sports Television.
And after the four-way clash of Britain’s giants in Glasgow this summer, plans are in place for a major six-a-side tournament with regional heats in 2023.
Former Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and England striker Tony Woodcock is a co-founder of 360 Sports.
And he said: “It just feels fantastic to bring Masters Football back to life. It has real history and there’s been a tremendous buzz over social media recently with petitions to revive the tournament.

JESSE LINGARD is starting his first league game for Manchester United in over TWO YEARS.The 29-year-old has been named in the starting line-up to face United’s fierce rivals Leeds.

The last time Lingard started a Prem game for United was against Arsenal on January 1 2020
And he will start in the three playing behind the striker.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick said Lingard ‘looked sharp in training’ in the build-up to his inclusion.
The German said: “He looked sharp in training. He has got a lot of experience and he’s a player who can both cover the pitch and score goals.
“And that’s why I decided to go with him and play him today from the start.”
The last time Lingard started a Premier League game for Man Utd was on January 1, 2020 against Arsenal.
Arsenal won the game 2-0 and Lingard was hooked off after 58 minutes for Andreas Pereira.

Ralf Rangnick and new Chief Executive Officer Richard Arnold are reportedly interested in Ajax manager Erik ten Hag, while the players are believed to be firmly in the Pochettino camp.

ROY KEANE has told ‘silly’ Leeds fans they’re not as big as Manchester United in a cheeky taunt ahead of Sunday’s derby.The two old foes will come to blows in front of a packed out crowd at Elland Road for the first time in the league since 2003.

Man Utd convincingly beat Leeds in the reverse fixture 5-1, thanks to a Bruno Fernandes hat-trick, and goals by Mason Greenwood and Fred.
And Keane is no stranger to the fiery fixture, having captained United in the 1990s and early 2000s.
But despite praising Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking side, Keane also took a cheeky dig at the fans who claim Leeds are a bigger club than United.

MANCHESTER UNITED will trigger their 12-month option on Diogo Dalot to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.The Portuguese right back’s days at Old Trafford looked numbered when he spent last season on loan at Milan.

But he has come back from the wilderness under Ralf Rangnick.
Dalot, 22, has replaced Aaron Wan Bissaka as a regular starter.
And Rangnick wants to nail down his future, in a mass summer rebuild.
Now United will look to now protect their original investment in a man who cost £18 million back in 2018, and was described as the new Gary Neville by then boss Jose Mourinho.
Dalot has 16 months remaining on his present deal.
United don’t want to leave it beyond the summer, with Borussia Dortmund showing an interest.
