Man Utd find themselves trailing a point behind rivals Arsenal in the race for a top-four finish.
Arsenal also have THREE games in hand.
And Sutton says the mass exodus of United’s first-team should be in the double figures.
Writing in the Daily Mail, he recommended keeping David de Gea, Scott McTominay, Anthony Elanga, Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes.
The 48-year-old put the likes of club captain Harry Maguire and United legend Cristiano Ronaldo in the ‘BIN’ category.
On Ronaldo he said: “Extraordinary player with an extraordinary ego.

“I questioned United’s move for Ronaldo, fearing his presence would have a detrimental impact.
“I see this as more of a commercial signing than a smart one in terms of tactics. He’s 37 now and it’s time to move on.”
SunSport revealed that there are serious doubts over Ronaldo’s future after he missed the derby mauling.
However, he was back at the training ground today.
Sutton says United’s summer clean-out ‘could hit double figures.’

He said: “United fans want to see their team competing for the Premier League and Champions League.
“If we’re basing our decisions on who’s good enough to make them an elite club again, then we could hit double figures in terms of who gets binned.
“Their performance at the Etihad was embarrassing.”
Amid talk of a mass clear out, SunSport has imagined what the Manchester United team might look like next season with some major additions to the squad.

Man Utd legend Sir Alex Ferguson is harassed while leaving Etihad as Man City fan uses his own taunt against him

SIR ALEX FERGUSON was noisily harassed by a Manchester City fan as he left the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. The Manchester United icon was in the stands to watch his former side take a 4-1 hiding from the team he once called ‘noisy neighbours’.

One City fan took things too far as he repeatedly shouted in the legend’s face while he tried make his way out of the stadium.
They berated Fergie, 80, with cries of: “Never in my lifetime! City, City, City,” right in his face.
The fan was referencing Ferguson’s words about the blue side of Manchester from back in 2009.
When Ferguson was asked in a press conference if United would ever go into the Manchester derby as underdogs, he cheekily replied: “What time is it?
“I think it’s time for me to leave… not in my lifetime.”
The harrying of Ferguson at full time came after City fans had already trolled Ferguson inside the Etihad for his infamous remark.

A huge banner was unfurled by the home fans before the game that read: “Not in my lifetime,” in a brutal response to Fergie’s dig.
His words have backfired in a big way in the last decade – since his retirement in 2013 United have failed to win the Premier League, whereas City have FIVE titles in that time.
And City fans were understandably loving it on Sunday as Pep Guardiola’s men ran riot against their arch-rivals.
Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez scored two each as United crumbled to a 4-1 defeat.
In a toothless display against, United failed to even register a shot on the second half.
It was a performance that left club legend Roy Keane seething as he claimed at full time that five or six United players should never play for the club again.
He raged on Sky Sports: “There was players there and we’re watching it live, and I’m looking at them getting really frustrated watching it.
“I forgive mistakes, but you’ve got to run back. There’s players, five or six players should never play for United again. Just shameful.
“Shameful that you can’t run back and you can’t put your body on the line.”

Micah Richards hits out at ‘double standards’ as he is slammed for ‘disrespecting’ Roy Keane in Sky Sports studio

MICAH RICHARDS has hit back at claims he was ‘disrespectful’ to Roy Keane after laughing at the Manchester United legend in the Sky Sports studio. Keane’s rage after United were thrashed 4-1 by Manchester City led to fits of laughter from Richards.

The ex-England right-back continually cracked up as Keane showed his displeasure at United’s performance.
But some believed Richards’ laughter at Keane’s expense verged on ‘disrespectful’.
Richards wrote on Twitter: “Deary deary me! When [Graeme] Souness says to me: ‘Forget everything you’ve just said’, or [Gary] Neville says to me ‘Stop ranting you’re not making sense’ I don’t see you saying it’s disrespectful to me so stop this nonsense.”
Richards went on to suggest him laughing at Keane is no real issue, as he insisted all of the pundits in the studio value each other’s opinions.
He added: “It’s really not that deep. We all have respect for each other!!!”
Neville though could only see the funny side to Richards’ response as he simply replied: “Thanks Richards,” followed up with a laughing emoji.

Man Utd won’t win league for the next DECADE, says Carlton Cole as he slams ambition and Cristiano Ronaldo transfer

MANCHESTER UNITED have ZERO chance of winning the Premier League in the next decade as they lack ambition and structure. That’s the damning verdict of former Premier League star Carlton Cole who feels United are void of any cohesion from the owners to the players.

He also reckons United haven’t got any ambition or structure which has been exemplified by them signing Ronaldo who’s 37Credit: Getty
Another reason Cole claims silverware will elude United is that whoever takes over from Rangnick needs time to implement new ideasCredit: Getty
Cole also reckons the Red Devils haven’t got any real leaders on or off the pitch, including Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, who the club wouldn’t have signed if they were preparing for the future.
And the retired striker puts the Red Devils’ woes down to their American owners The Glazers whom he claims have traded the club’s ambition for money.
Speaking on JOE’s YouTube channel, the West Ham academy U16 coach explained: “This is why Man United won’t win the league in the next ten years.
“There’s no club structure from the top all the way down to the pitch.
“There’s no leadership that I can see from the top all the down to the pitch. The Glazers have taken away the ambition to win games and now I feel its more to do with making money.
“I feel that having a 37-year-old which is not like Man United to have leading the attack when you’re rebuilding for the future.

“Success is built on a good foundation, which I don’t think Man United have at the moment.”
Another reason why Cole thinks Prem success will elude United for the next ten years is that whoever comes in to replace interim boss Ralf Rangnick this summer is going to need time to give the club a new identity.
He added: “Also, I really feel that the manager that comes in needs the time to be successful and build a new structure and way of playing.”
Several big names including Mauricio Pochettino, Erik Ten Hag and Antonio Conte have all been touted as Rangnick’s successor over the past few months.
But the Red Devils don’t seem to be any closer to naming a new boss with the Prem season ending in May.
Rangnick himself has admitted that he has no idea about who’s coming into replace him.
There’s no club structure from the top all the way down to the pitch.Carlton Cole
But United will have to choose carefully as Roy Keane warned his former side that the incoming appointment will be the biggest decision in the club’s history.
The Red Devils’ urgent need for a complete overhaul was apparent in their dismal 4-1 loss to rivals Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Rangnick’s troops’ lack of fighting spirit against the Citizens showed just how far they’ve fallen behind the reigning Prem Champions. More

Five Cristiano Ronaldo transfer destinations as Man Utd star flies to Portugal after being dropped for City derby

CRISTIANO RONALDO was stunned to be told he would not start in Manchester United’s 4-1 derby defeat to Manchester City. The 37-year-old was informed by interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who wanted fresh legs for the match.

Rangnick believed Ronaldo could make a big impact from the bench.
But the United legend insisted he could do that from the start and was furious at being axed.
Ronaldo is believed to also have a hip injury and has flown to his homeland of Portugal in the hope the warm weather helps his recovery.
After Sunday’s loss, Rangnick said: “I have to believe my medical department.
“Our doctor came to see me Friday morning before training and said Cristiano could not train because of some problems with his hip flexor and the same Saturday.”
The situation has led to renewed talk of a possible exit this summer.

But if Ronaldo were to leave Man Utd at the end of the season, where could his next destination be?
    Sporting Lisbon
Ronaldo could return to his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon.
The football icon made 31 appearances for the Portuguese outfit before making a move to Man Utd.
And Sporting also happen to be the bookies’ favourites to seal a fairytale reunion.
Sky Bet have Sporting as 7/2 favourites to land the United ace this summer.
Ronaldo’s mum Delores regularly posts pictures of her watching her favourite Portuguese club, Sporting, with family and friends on social media and confessed on a recent podcast: “I’ve already told him, ‘Son, before I die I want to see you return to Sporting’.”

    Paris Saint-Germain
Ronaldo could move to mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain and link up with fellow football icon Lionel Messi.
CR7 was linked with a move to PSG last summer when his future at Juventus was in doubt.
PSG would also be able to offer Ronaldo Champions League football, something United CANNOT do at this point in time.
The Parisians also have the financial power to pay Ronaldo.

    Real Madrid
Ronaldo could look for a fairytale reunion with another one of his former clubs.
Real Madrid are eyeing a rebuild this summer after the club’s finances took a hit as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Kylian Mbappe could also be on his way this summer for FREE.

    Bayern Munich
A move to Germany isn’t out of the realms of possibility either.
And a move to Bayern Munich would guarantee Ronaldo trophies and Champions League football.
Current striker Robert Lewandowski is out of contract in the summer of 2023 and has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
Should that move happen, a starting spot would open up in Bayern’s frontline.
Bayern currently pay Lewandowski £370,000-a-week… so paying Ronaldo wouldn’t be a problem.
    Lewandowski is Bayern’s top earner
    Inter Miami
Ronaldo could decide to call it quits in Europe and make a move to the MLS with newbies Inter Miami.
The club is owned by his former Red Devils team-mate David Beckham.
However, Inter Miami are yet to win in the MLS this season, losing and drawing in their opening two games. More

Erling Haaland transfer chase is ‘straight contest’ between Man City and Real Madrid in blow to Man Utd

MANCHESTER CITY and Real Madrid are reportedly the front runners in the race to sign Erling Haaland in a bitter blow to Manchester United. The Red Devils have been long-time admirers of the Borussia Dortmund striker as they look to reaffirm their status amongst football’s elite.

United are in dire need of a striker with Cristiano Ronaldo now 37 and fellow veteran Edinson Cavani reportedly heading towards the exit.
The Old Trafford outfit also look set to lose Anthony Martial permanently once his loan to Sevilla ends at the end of the season although the Spanish club doesn’t intend on keeping him.
Mason Greenwood’s suspension has also had a major impact on the squad.
Ralf Rangnick’s side were willing to pay Haaland’s £65million release clause to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams.
However, it’s emerged that United’s neighbours City and La Liga leaders Real are the two favourites to land the Norwegian prodigy.
United’s 4-1 loss to rivals City on Sunday afternoon wouldn’t have done their Haaland pursuit any good.

According to The Athletic, City and Real are the only two interested parties that can afford Haaland’s release clause fee – along with his £825,000-a-week wage demands and his agent Mino Raiola’s £47m commission.
Paris Saint-Germain could also afford the forward’s combined transfer costs but he’s got no interest in joining Lionel Messi in the French capital.
Los Blancos are keen on hauling Haaland in to accompany PSG ace Kylian Mbappe in a devastating new attack.
But The Athletic claim Real are willing to wait until the end of next season to sign Haaland as that’s when Karim Benzema’s contract is up.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have made completing Mbappe’s free transfer from PSG their top priority.
The French superstar’s contract with the Parisiens runs out at the end of the season and it looks increasingly unlikely that he’ll sign a new deal.
However, City may force Real to speed up their plans as the Etihad giants are eager to wrap up Haaland’s signature this summer.
Pep Guardiola’s side missed out on Harry Kane last summer and aren’t willing to suffer the same fate with Haaland.
But there could yet be another twist in Haaland’s transfer saga as Real’s Spanish rivals Barcelona are also hot on his heels.
And Barca boss Xavi hinted that he was confident that the Catalan giants will win the race for Haaland just a few days ago. More

Man City fans troll Sir Alex Ferguson with cheeky banner while legendary Man Utd manager watches derby destruction

MANCHESTER CITY fans trolled Sir Alex Ferguson with a cheeky banner in the derby win.The legendary Manchester United boss was in the stands at the Etihad as his former side were thumped 4-1 by the ‘noisy neighbours’.

And he was mocked by a four-word message unfurled by the home supporters.
The banner read: “Not in my lifetime.”
The quote references a comment from Ferguson way back in 2009.
He was asked if City could be the dominant force in Manchester and therefore make United underdogs in the derby.
But Fergie, whose Red Devils were champions at the time, was having none of it.
Since his retirement in 2013, though, United have failed to win the Premier League – whereas City have five titles in that time.

And City fans were understandably loving it on Sunday as Pep Guardiola’s men ran riot against their arch-rivals.
Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez scored two each as United crumbled.
Commenting on the sign, one City fan wrote on Twitter: “How embarrassing for Ferguson that he’s back at the Etihad and we pull out this.
“I bet he regrets saying those four words so much. Statement banner.”
And interim United boss Ralf Rangnick admitted there is a gulf in class between the two teams right now.
He said: “It’s difficult against a team like Man City, once you are 3-1 down against the best team in possession of the ball on the planet, it’s difficult.
“I cannot blame anyone for not having tried and put effort into that game, but it was difficult after the third goal.
“After 28 games you’re as far apart from each team as the table shows (22 points).
“The second half showed that if they are in their momentum and if they are 3-1 up then it is almost impossible to keep them away from your own goal.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister likes Instagram post claiming Man Utd star is NOT injured and slamming Rangnick

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S sister liked an Instagram post claiming the Manchester United star is NOT injured, adding further fuel to the controversy. The Portuguese forward did not feature in the matchday squad for the Manchester derby on Sunday.

As revealed by SunSport, Ronaldo complained of a hip problem and flew to his homeland after being told he would not be starting.
Rangnick said he wanted fresh legs for the match and that he believed Ronaldo could make an impact from the bench.
But the United legend insisted he could do that from the start and was furious at being axed, not staying at the team hotel before jetting out for some warmer weather.
However, activity on social media threw further shade on the situation.
The Instagram account that sparked suggestions of Ronaldo missing the game is cr7.0_lendario — which is followed by the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
A post on Saturday claimed: “Manchester United’s manager wants to enter with a different strategy in tomorrow’s game and has chosen to defend himself more, a purely tactical choice. Ronaldo won’t even be on the bench.”

The post was liked by Ron’s sister, Katia Aveiro.
She has previously been vocal about her brother’s football career – angering Juventus fans on his departure last summer and once called pundits ‘manipulative and blind’ for criticising him.
The 37-year-old Ronaldo had been feeling positive in training last week and was looking forward to the Etihad clash with City.
But United interim boss Rangnick was told by the club’s medical department on Friday that Ronaldo had a hip flexor injury.
After yesterday’s 4-1 humiliation, Rangnick insisted: “I have to believe my medical department.
“Our doctor came to see me Friday morning before training and said Cristiano could not train because of some problems with his hip flexor and the same Saturday.”
When contacted by SunSport, Ronaldo’s representatives insisted it was an injury keeping him out.
