The 40,000 tickets got snapped up within an hour of going on sale.
However, locals who forked out as much as £360 on tickets expressed their anger because Lionel Messi remained an unused substitute.
The Argentine icon, 36, has been battling a hamstring injury that saw him only play seven minutes in the 6-0 defeat against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr on Thursday.
And the World Cup winner – who did take part in a very light open training session – was not risked against a Hong Kong XI.

But plenty were still seething afterwards – especially after spending hundreds of pounds on tickets and some even travelling from overseas.
