Fans joke Chelsea are signing Ronald McDonald because Klopp likes Big Macs and come up with cheeky nickname for midfield

As a result, Klopp and his side have been ridiculed by Chelsea supporters, who have come up with a new nickname for their midfield.
Using Lavia, Enzo Fernandez and Caicedo’s initials, the midfield trio have been dubbed “LFC” by fans.
The letters also spell out Liverpool’s abbreviated name, much to the amusement of Chelsea fans.
Liverpool had agreed a deal with Brighton for the signing of Caicedo last week before he snubbed them to join Chelsea for £115million.

Meanwhile, Klopp saw his side have multiple bids rejected for Lavia before Chelsea agreed a fee with Southampton.
Fernandez was also linked with a move to Anfield before joining Chelsea in January.
The pattern of players joining Chelsea over Liverpool has not gone unnoticed amongst supporters.
One fan tweeted: “Chelsea owns LFC whichever way you look at it.”

Another added: “Liverpool conquered to form our new ‘LFC’ midfield.”
A third fan even joked that Chelsea were expanding their habit of signing players Klopp was interested in.
They wrote: “Chelsea have agreed to sign Ronald McDonald for a club record fee after seeing Jurgen Klopp was considering buying a Big Mac and fries.”
Klopp and Liverpool have struggled in the transfer market this summer, making just two signings.
The club have also been slammed by pundits for missing out on several targets.
However, despite their woes, Klopp could not resist aiming a dig at Chelsea’s spending after their 1-1 draw on Sunday.
The impending arrival of Lavia is set to take their spending to almost a billion since Todd Boehly’s takeover.

Chelsea FINALLY agree record £115m transfer for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo after beating Liverpool to midfield star

CHELSEA have agreed a British transfer record £115million deal for the signing of Moises Caicedo from Brighton. The £115m fee eclipses the previous £107m record Chelsea paid Benfica for Enzo Fernandez in January.

Caicedo snubbed interest from Liverpool after they agreed a £111m fee with Brighton last week.
But Caicedo rejected a move to Anfield as he has had his heart set on a move to Chelsea from the beginning of the window.
According to Fabrizio Romano, there is also a sell-on clause included for Brighton as well as the historic £115m fee.
It is added that medical tests have been booked with Chelsea pipping Liverpool to the deal, following their 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The Athletic say an eight-year contract has been agreed with the option of a ninth with medicals booked for tomorrow and an official announcement to follow right after.
Brighton will make an incredible profit on Caicedo having signed him for just £4.5m from Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle in 2021.
He was one of the standout midfielders in the Premier League last season, making 37 league appearances for the Seagulls as they finished 6th in the Premier League.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had confirmed that a deal had been agreed to bring the star to Anfield.

But a deal started to stall as it was claimed that Caicedo was having second thoughts about the move.
And as revealed by SunSport, the South American rejected the deal as he had his heart set on moving to Chelsea.
Chelsea desperately need new midfielders following the exits of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante this summer.
And Caicedo now looks to be Fernandez’s new midfield partner with Southampton’s Romeo Lavia also close to a Chelsea move.
Liverpool were in for Lavia too and after losing Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita, they are short in midfield.

Roy Keane fumes at Reece James for defending vs Liverpool and says ‘he might as well have a cup of tea’

ROY KEANE put his admiration for Reece James aside to criticise the Chelsea captain for Liverpool’s opening goal. The points were ultimately shared at Stamford Bridge but Luis Diaz put the visitors ahead on 18 minutes.
Roy Keane was critical of Reece James
Reece James’ defending came under fire
Liverpool hit the hosts on the counter and Mo Salah’s brilliant cross field ball was finished off by Diaz.
But Manchester United legend Keane believed James should have tracked the goalscorer and made more of an effort to intercept.
He said on Sky Sports: “James is looking at him running off him. He’ll argue afterwards saying, ‘Oh, I’m a wing-back and that’s not my job.’
“But he sees him running and you have to sprint back like your life depends on it.

“I don’t get it as brilliant as James is – listen I love him to bits think he’s a brilliant player, particularly going forward – but when you see someone running off the back of you, you sprint. You sprint. No excuses.”
Former Liverpool and Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge attempted to defend James.
But Keane replied: “He might as well stop and have a cup of tea.
“You’ve got to sprit back because you never know what might happen. He might take a bad touch.”

You’re a genius if you can name when each Premier League club last won a trophy and what happened in world at that time

THE goal for some of the Premier League clubs this season is simple – win a trophy.Last season Manchester City, Manchester United and West Ham managed it.
