Klopp’s last few months in charge of Liverpool will be captured in a behind-the-scenes documentary.
However, many are keen to discover who will be replacing him in the dugout for next season.
Former Liverpool midfielder Alonso has been touted as one of the top options for the club.
The Spaniard has been working wonders at Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen since his appointment in 2022.

Alonso has the club at the top of the league and as the favourites to put a stop to Bayern Munich’s 11-year reign as champions.
Klopp, 56, has suggested that Alonso is part of the “new generation” of football managers and is the “stand-out” among his peers.
He said: “Xabi is doing an incredible job.
“If there were not the rumours around, that’s completely independent, if you had asked me eight weeks ago about Xabi Alonso, I would have gone ‘Oh my God’.

“The dinosaurs if you want, Ancelotti, Mourinho, Guardiola, maybe me, we will not do it – Ok maybe Mourinho.
“But all the rest of us will not do it for the next 20 years.
Xabi Alonso and De Zerbi are two names who could replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool in the summer
“The next generation is already there and I would say Xabi is the stand-out in that department.”
Alonso has reportedly set himself a “secret” plan that relied on succeeding at Bayer Leverkusen.
The manager believes that he could now make a step up to manage the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
His current deal at the BayArena runs until 2025.
Alonso’s impact at Bayer LeverkusenXABI ALONSO was appointed as Bayer Leverkusen manager when the club was struggling in the 2022/23 Bundesliga season
He came in having only coached the Real Sociedad B team as a manager’s mark on his CV.
This did not slow down the former Liverpool star as he rectified the German outfit’s season as they sat in 17th place.
He won his first game in charge over Schalke 4-0 but then went on a six-game winless run while he implemented his ideas.
Alonso then took the club on a run which saw 15 wins from their next 20 games.
The manager helped the club to a 6th place finish last season and they have continued on that trajectory this campaign.
Bayer Leverkusen have been challenging for the Bundesliga title this season.
Alonso has led the club to an unbeaten start to the season after 21 league games.
This run includes a 3-0 dismantling of title rivals Bayern Munich earlier this month. More

The German tactician made this difficult decision after running out of energy and understanding he can’t keep dealing with the immense pressure year after year.
And Henry believes the 56-year-old’s shock announcement just “tells a story” of how demanding elite football really is.
The legendary striker added that the kind of success Klopp had at Liverpool, which saw him winning every title available, takes a massive toll in the long run.
The France Under-21 manager likened his exit to that of Pep Guardiola, who took a year off after his stunning stint at Barcelona came to an end in 2012 before eventually joining Bayern Munich.

Virgil van Dijk recently admitted that does not know if he will stay at Anfield beyond the transfer window.
He said: “That’s a big question. I don’t know. The club will have a big job on their hands. To replace not only the manager but the whole staff, there are so many things that will change.
“I’m very curious which direction that will go in but when that will be announced we will see our situation. I can’t say much about it.
“Obviously it will be the end of Jurgen Klopp’s era. I am very glad that I am still part of it. That is why I don’t like to speak about it. I am still part of it.”

Xabi Alonso warned Liverpool job will be like ‘putting his head in a guillotine’ by former team-mate

FORMER Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has claimed that whoever replaces Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, he will be ‘putting their head in a guillotine’. He then went on to say taking the job at Anfield was not far off the impossible task of trying to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Following the German’s shock announcement that he would be leaving the reds this summer, Xabi Alonso shot up to 8/11 favourite to replace him.
In an interview with Betfred, Johnson said: “It’s such a hard situation because any manager that goes in next is essentially putting their head in a guillotine.”
“If they maintain the same level of success, people will say, ‘as you should do because you’ve inherited a great team in a good moment’, so they almost expect it.”
“So you’re potentially setting yourself up to fail.

“For this reason, I think this will put a lot of the big names off.
“It’s almost like the next manager will have to come in and take one for the team.”
And, in spite of the recent rumours, Alonso has not expressed any interest in a move to England,
Johnson, 39, went on, saying: “Liverpool are going to struggle to replace Jurgen Klopp in the same way that Manchester United have struggled to replace Sir Alex Ferguson.”

He cited the reason for this being that managers of the Ferguson / Klopp calibre were a rare find and ‘don’t come around often.’
The situation echoes 2013, when an unlucky David Moyes attempted to fill the gigantic shoes left by Ferguson.
Klopp speaks out after Liverpool suffer huge loss to Arsenal
But Johnson reckons there is a crucial difference this time around.
He said: “Liverpool are run very well and most of the foundations are already in place.
“They’re in a position where they’re probably one of the few clubs where the manager and the coaching staff are the only things that they need to change.”
And in spite of his scepticism about the Anfield role, Johnson does think Alonso is a ‘good option.’
This is mainly due to the six years he spent playing for Liverpool, winning the Champions League with them in 2005.
Xabi Alonso is perfect man for the jobBy Dan King
XABI ALONSO ticks almost every box to succeed Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager, and if Bayer Leverkusen don’t let their lead at the top of the Bundesliga slip the case for him to do so will be irresistible.
The former Kop idol knows the club inside out after five seasons at Anfield and has made no secret of his enduring affection.
Alonso has already forged a reputation as an innovative coach playing an attractive, pressing style, usually in a fluid 3-4-2-1 formation.
He has taken Leverkusen from second bottom of the Bundesliga to seven-points clear at the top, putting them on course to be crowned German champions for the first time in their 120-year history.
It’s worth remembering that both Rafa Benitez and Klopp arrived at Anfield with proof they could dethrone clubs who dominated their leagues.
For Alonso to do the same, in only his second season as a top-flight manager, would mark him out as something special.
It is that lack of long-term experience that would still make appointing him to replace Klopp a gamble.
But otherwise, he looks like the perfect candidate as Liverpool are forced to plan a future without the man who made them champions of England, Europe and the world.

He said: “Being an ex-legend of the club and a fan favourite will mean that Xabi’s given time.
“This doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s going to be successful, but I think the fans will have more patience with him.
“They will give him more leeway than they would with a manager that doesn’t already have an affiliation with the club.
“So from that side of it, I think it could be a good option.”
Reportedly, the 42-yearold had been contacted by Liverpool three months ago, soon after Klopp informed his club of his impending departure.
The purpose of contact was to discover if Alonso had any interest away from Bayern Leverkusen, who currently sit top of the Bundesliga.
The former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich midfielder finally broke his silence on the Anfield rumours last week, saying: “At the moment I am really happy here and enjoying my work.
“Each day and game is a challenge. We are in an intense and beautiful journey here at Leverkusen.

Virgil van Dijk says he was to blame and NOT Alisson for ‘turning point’ that saw Liverpool crash to Arsenal defeat

VIRGIL VAN DIJK took the blame for a shocking defensive cock-up as  Arsenal blew the title race wide open.Gabriel Martinelli capitalised on a calamitous mix-up between Liverpool skipper Van Dijk and keeper Alisson to fire the Gunners 2-1 ahead at the Emirates.

Champions Manchester City,  who travel to Brentford on Monday night, will go top if they win their two games in hand.
And Van Dijk said after Sunday’s 3-1 loss: “It’s a very tough day. I  take full responsibility for Martinelli’s goal as that was a turning point in the match and I should have done better.
“It’s a split decision and I chose to let the ball bounce, try and put my body in between, Alisson touched me a little bit and that’s why he couldn’t clear it properly.
