      Salah is thought to want a whopping £500,000 per week – two-and-a-half times his current £200,000-a-week deal.
      Kop boss Jurgen Klopp suggested the club have done all they can to keep hold of the forward and the ball is now in Salah’s court.
      He said: “It is Mo’s decision, pretty much.
      “I think the club did what the club can do. There’s nothing more to say about it from my point of view, it is exactly like it should be at the moment.
      “Nothing happened further, so no signing, no rejection or whatever so we just have to wait for that, it’s completely fine, there’s no rush in this situation.”
      But Klopp’s comments seemed to have riled Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas who tweeted out a series of crying emojis shortly after.

      Ferdinand’s BT colleague and ex-Reds midfielder Steve McManaman also believes his former side should be hesitant to bow to player or agent demands.

      Phillips is currently recovering from a fractured cheekbone which he sustained in Liverpool’s Champions League fixture against AC Milan.
      Despite the injury he should be available for selection next month.
      Both parties will be looking for a move when the January transfer window opens in a few weeks.

      LIVERPOOL’S youngsters can certainly draw a crowd – as a staggering 32 clubs watched their game last week.Young midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner is being tracked by several sides, with Brentford sending a top scout to check on his progress.

      French centre-back Billy Koumetio,18, may be in line for a loan move in January and several Championship sides are summing him up.
      Left-back Tony Gallagher was looked at by a couple of Scottish clubs after a move to Sunderland fell through.
      Blackpool boss Neil Critchley, the team’s old coach, and Plymouth’s Scouse manager Ryan Lowe were among the busy VIP list.
      All three academy stars started in the Premier League 2 victory over Derby on Saturday.
      Koumetio equalised for the Merseyside outfit in the second half after Derby ace Jack Sretton broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute.
      Max Woltman then put Liverpool ahead in the 63rd minute, before Dixon-Bonner secured the win late on.

      Dixon-Bonner now has three goals in all competitions for Liverpool’s academy this season from nine games in all competitions.
      The ex-Arsenal youngster took to social media following the win as he spoke of his delight at getting on the score sheet again.
      He said: “Great to score another goal today!
      “On top of a good win.”
