    Match stats
    What a game.
The stats pretty much tell the story of the game.
Arsenal dominated, but Luton perhaps deserved a point for clinging on and maximising their efficiency the best they could.
Take a look at the stats here…

    That’s what they do!
    Big games, big players.
When you want to win the Premier League, you need to find a way, and that is what the great teams do.
Arsenal found a way today, through Declan Rice, proving why he cost the club over £100 million.
Can they actually do it this year?
    Five points clear for now…

    Unlucky Luton…
Let’s give credit where it is due.
Luton deserved a point from that game.
They put up one hell of a fight against the league leaders, and kept the game at 3-3 right up to the death.
Ross Barkley, Gabriel Osho and Elijah Adebayo were all brilliant, as well as Kaminski in goal.
If they can play like that, with such intensity and passion for the rest of the season, they might just have enough to stay in the Premier League.

Pelly Mpanzu is swapped for Jordan Clark and Ryan Giles comes on at left wing back in place of Alfie Doughty.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    87. Really clever play from Barkley again, but Carlton-Morris loses it.
    Arsenal will come again.
They play lovely football around the edge of the box, before Zinchenko dinks a ball into Havertz who should do better with the header – saved by Kaminski.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    84. Arsenal still threatening here.
Saka looks to be almost through, but Kaminski does well to come out and clear.
Luton come forwards with Kabore who tries to beat Zinchenko for pace on the right hand side, and fails miserably.
    Goal kick.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    82. Just over 10 minutes to go here at Kenilworth Road, with Luton clinging onto a point here for now.
They have failed to deliver any goal threat in the past few minutes, as Arsenal are relentlessly coming at them again and again.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    80. A VAR check here, as Saka feels he is fouled driving into the box, but it is not given by the officials.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    79. Two corners in quick succession for Arsenal.
One hands a chance to Leandro Trossard, who wins the second corner with his effort, and then Saka whips one into the middle which is eventually cleared by Luton.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    77. Plenty will be made of Mikel Arteta’s decision to start David Raya in goal over Aaron Ramsdale tonight.

    Luton 3-3 Arsenal

    Alfie Doughty catches Saka late.
    “How many?” He asks…
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    70. Twelve shots to five in Arsenal’s favour so far in this game, but three of Luton’s four shots on target have hit the back of the net.
    Funny old game, this football.
Mikel Arteta cuts a frustrated figure in the dugout.

    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    68. We might finally be seeing the Kai Havertz that Arsenal (and Chelsea) paid all that money for…
He has been in fine form of late.
“Zamina mina, eh eh, waka-waka eh eh! £60 million down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again!”Credit: Getty

    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    66. A double change for Arsenal now, with Martinelli and Kiwior being replaced by Zinchenko and Trossard.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    64. Hardly a moment to breathe here at Kenilworth Road, just the way we like it.
The rule of three is in full force here and we have a triple change for Luton too.
Chiedozie Ogbene, Tahith Chong, and Carlton Morris are on in place of Andros Townsend, Jacob Brown, and Elijah Adebayo.
    GOALLLLL! Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    60. Havertz levels the scoring AGAIN!
It is a long ball over the top to Gabriel Jesus, who does incredibly well to hold off his man and play a ball into Kai Havertz to finish!
    3-3, GAME ON!
    Luton 3-2 Arsenal
    59. This is why they are called the Mad Hatters.
Arsenal had only conceded three goals away from home until they visited Kenilworth Road tonight, and now they have doubled that tally in one night.
You sense the goals are not finished here however…
    GOALLLLL! Luton 3-2 Arsenal
    56. BARKLEY MAKES IT THREE!
    WOW. WOW. WOW.
Excellent play between Barkley and Townsend who combine really well on the edge of the box.

    Chelsea 3-2 Brighton
90+14. Worst thing of all, if it wasn’t handball it should have been a corner to Brighton.
Why he restarted the game with a dropball is mind-bending.
De Zerbi is going to lose his mind in the post-match interview.
    Chelsea 3-2 Brighton
90+12. Pawson came from the monitor and seemed to intimate it was going to be a penalty.
The away end goes berserk but he then says it is a drop ball.
Craig Pawson has to be one of the worst referees on the circuit.
    Chelsea 3-2 Brighton
90+10. As Brighton looked to cross with Adingra it hits the Chelsea player and Brighton go mental.
They are demanding a penalty but it seems to hit the player in the face.
VAR has asked to referee to go to the monitor however.
    Chelsea 3-2 Brighton
90+8. Brighton are trying to apply the pressure but Chelsea are standing firm.
They do not seem capable of unlocking them for a third time.
We down to the last two minutes of the game now.
    Chelsea 3-2 Brighton
90+6. Chelsea are just trying to get bodies behind the ball now.
If they drop two points from position they were in, Pochettino will lose his mind.
Mitoma gets to the byline and wins another corner.
    Credit: Reuters
    Chelsea 3-2 Brighton
90+4. Chelsea are temporarily down to nine men.
Broja landed awkwardly and needed treatment from the physio.
As a result, he now needs to spend 30 seconds off the pitch before he can come back on.
    Chelsea 3-2 Brighton
90+2. As a corner is whipped in, Joao Pedro gets a glancing header into the corner.
Nothing Sanchez could do to save that one.
With so much added time, Brighton still have chance to rescue a point.
    Goal – Joao Pedro (Brighton)
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    90. Pochettino will be pleased that his side have seen this game out.
At half time it was hanging in the balance after the sending off.
Despite this, the Argentine knows they have work to do.
We are going to have ten added minutes.
    Credit: EPA
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    88. Mitoma goes down in the box looking for a penalty.
It wiil be reviewed but it looked even less of a penalty than the one Mudryk won for the hosts.
    Check over, no penalty.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    86. Gross tries his luck from distance but it is an easy save.
Sanchez has not had a lot to do today and when he has, they have been routine saves.
It is hard to see a way back into this game for The Seagulls now.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    84. Chelsea look like they should see this through now.
While the three points will be all that matters, it is purely just papering over the cracks.
There is still a lot to sort out in this squad, particularly discipline.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    82. The third goal seems to have knocked the stuffing out of the visitors.
They are huffing and puffing but Chelsea’s house does not seem like falling.
Mitoma is the real threat for Roberto de Zerbi’s side right now.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    80. Mudryk comes off for Broja for Chelsea.
Caicedo remains on the pitch despite that tightrope he is walking.
Time is fast running out for Brighton to get anything out of this game.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    78. Chelsea come on a rare attack but Caicedo’s effort is not troubling the keeper.
Shooting is not really the midfielder’s strong point.
Apart from that one he had ruled out against Tottenham that is.
    Credit: PA
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    76. Brighton are starting to put real pressure on now.
Chelsea are struggling to retain possession and the visitors just keep on coming back at them.
This is almost like attack versus defence right now.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    74. Brighton are playing some nice passing but with no end product.
Chelsea are just crowding out their attacks.
The visitors need to change tactic and look for Ferguson to hold it up more and play off him.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    72. Palmer will give some options for Chelsea to hold the ball up more now.
Thiago Silva is penalised for a foul on Joao Pedro.
Chance for the visitors to get a dangerous ball into the box.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    70. Mitoma is starting to cause some problems for the hosts.
Chelsea are looking to get everyone behind the ball now.
Despite being a man down, they now have a two-goal lead to protect.

    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton

    68. De Zerbi is going to be livid after this game.
That is two massive incidents involving the referee that have changed this game.
Caicedo should have been given a second yellow card before the bizarre decision to award a penalty.
    Credit: Reuters
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    66. It will be an uphill struggle for the visitors now.
They have to throw bodies forward looking for a quick reply.
It will give Chelsea the chance to pick them off on the break.
    Chelsea 3-1 Brighton
    64. Football is officially broken, that was never a penalty.
The fact Craig Pawson went to the monitor and still decided to change his decision of no penalty, shows just how incompetent he is at officiating.
Not that Chelsea fans will be complaining as Cole Palmer is brought off the bench for the hosts.
    Goal – Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea)
    Penalty to Chelsea
    Chelsea 2-1 Brighton
    62. Chelsea are claiming for a penalty as Mudryk is sent through on goal by Sterling.
Milner came across him and both players went to ground.
VAR sends Craig Pawson over to the monitor.
This is mental, it was never a penalty. More

Ollie Watkins last gasp strike rescues Villans precious point in Champions League hunt

OLLIE WATKINS salvaged a point for a poor Aston Villa and keeping their Champions League push rolling on.The England striker was a doubt for the trip to the south coast, but lasted the whole game and was still going strong when it counted – sending a 90th minute header past Neto.

While most Villa fans will have made the trip sensing an easy victory, a point will feel precious.
Bournemouth looked to have beaten Unai Emery’s side with their frantic front-foot football, but some super saves by Emiliano Martinez kept Villa within striking distance and Watkins made sure his goalkeeper’s efforts weren’t in vain.
The Cherries are a much more impressive side than earlier in the campaign.
They have hit their stride under boss Andoni Iraola and were desperately close to a third straight Premier League win – something they’ve not done since the days of Eddie Howe in 2016.

Dominic Solanke’s smart finish looked to have claimed three points, but the former Chelsea man will reflect on the two close range efforts Martinez managed to stop rather than his well taken seventh goal of the season.
Bournemouth were quick to exploit an early Villa slip-up for Antonie Semenyo’s opener.
The former Bristol City forward, a menace on either wing, drove in from the left but saw his ball inside cut out.
Villa looked to play out, but a lazy Diego Carlos ball was cut out by an alert Ryan Christie, who snapped it straight into the feet of Semenyo to finish low.

Martinez was beaten easily there but saved well from Semenyo’s powerful effort moments later to keep the lead at one – something he managed all afternoon.
Villa were level four minutes later.
Watkins, passed fit having missed Thursday’s win over Legia Warsaw, fed the ball out to the right where Leon Bailey committed Milos Kerkez down the line before turning inside and walloping his fourth Premier League goal of the season past Neto.
Having started so impressively, Bournemouth were almost behind after 22 minutes, though a lengthy VAR check – which even the home fans were protesting – came to their rescue to rule out Carlos’ tap in.
Bournemouth looked to profit from the decision straight away. Martinez was celebrating a reflex save from Solanke’s close range effort before the Cherries striker came within a whisker of turning Semenyo’s cross into an empty net seconds later.
Iraola’s chaotic style leaves the door open at the back at all times but they will not compromise on attacking.
Almost every ball is played forward and they break at speed and in numbers.
That pace almost had Villa behind again on the brink of half time. Christie collected a long ball from Neto with a stunning touch and played Justin Kluivert through alone against Martinez only for Ezri Konsa to race back at the last moment with a crucial challenge.

Having started that move, Neto was stopping another at the other end when he denied Douglas Luiz in added time at the end of a frantic first half.
But Bournemouth were still far more alert than any in a Villa shirt after the restart.
Kerkez did well to cut out a Martinez ball forward, winning it in the air before racing down the left and crossing for Solanke.
Having fluffed his two first half chances the ex-Chelsea man swivelled on the spot and finished smartly – though Martinez stopped another from just yards shortly after.

With a lead to defend Bournemouth started to sit off a touch more, allowing Villa to find some confidence.
Emery sensed a chance, sending on a trio of subs including Moussa Diaby, whose cross provided the assist for Watkins to send his late header looping in. More

West Ham 1 Crystal Palace 1: Edouard nicks crucial point for Eagles after being gifted goal by Mavropanos howler

ON this occasion, West Ham’s hopes of yet another Late, Late Show failed to materialise. The Hammers have embraced ‘Moyesie time’ over the past few weeks – struggling for large periods in a match before producing a killer blow in the final minutes.

Here’s how the team’s fared on paper
The momentum was very back and forth
Tomas Soucek has been the orchestrator, scoring three last-gasp winners in the club’s last three games – two of them coming in the Premier League.
But here, on a frosty East London afternoon, the Czech giant could not muster a fourth when the David Moyes’ Irons desperately needed it to down Crystal Palace.
Mohammed Kudus was at his electric, scintillating best in the first half, starting and finishing a fine move in the 13th minute for a dream start at the London Stadium.
Yet the hosts failed to kick on, content to see out another narrow victory to make it three Prem wins on the spin for the second time this campaign before a costly second half error.
Konstantinos Mavropanos was at fault, his lazy pass giving Odsonne Edouard a simple finish in the 53rd minute – enough to earn this below-par, injury-hit Palace outfit a valuable point.
West Ham pushed for that injury time sucker punch they have come to love and rely on so much, and the returning Jarrod Bowen came closest with a tame header from six-yards.
A big chance missed to jump into eighth, one that will leave Moyes with a bitter taste. That ruthless edge needs to return should they want to qualify for Europe again next season.
Yet again, Moyes was forced to put out a reshuffled backline with skipper Kurt Zouma missing due to private family reasons. Mavropanos deputised in central defence.

Odsonne Eduoard made the most of the chances he had
The sight of Bowen back in the starting XI was a welcome one however, having been out since mid-November with a knee injury picked up with England.
Roy Hodgson also put out a side riddled with changes with long-term injuries to Eberechi Eze and Cheick Doucoure, while Jeffrey Schlupp was a late omission with a personal issue.
Defender Chris Richards acted as a holding midfielder alongside Chris Hughes. It was the latter who played his part for all the wrong reasons in West Ham’s opener.
Hughes was slow to react in midfield as Kudus delightfully dinked the ball over his head and drove from deep, and he continued into the box with the Eagles man’s marking slacking.
From the halfway line, James Ward-Powse pinged a peach of a pass to Vladimir Coufal whose cut-back was met by Kudus’ low strike.
The Ghanaian has taken his time adapting to life in England, but he seems to be getting the hang of it now, netting his third Prem strike, while Coufal made it five Prem assists.
Palace keeper Sam Johnstone will also be disappointed having been beaten at his near post with the ball close to his body, although he may point to a small deflection by Marc Guehi.
Johnstone was at least in the right position nine minutes later with Bowen racing through on goal via Nayef Aguerd’s ball over the top. His chipped attempt smacked Johnstone’s chest.
West Ham appeared content to cruise through the rest of the half with Palace, sensing the visitors were struggling to even string a few passes together in attacking areas.
A spark was needed, surprisingly coming from centre back Joachim Andersen standing over a free-kick. The Dane’s whipped shot deflected just past Alphonse Areola’s post.
To Moyes’ anger, West Ham’s sluggishness carried on after the break and were duly punished as Mavropanos decided to gift wrap an equaliser for Palace in the 53rd minute.
Moments before, Edouard had come close from a set-piece, almost connecting to a Guehi ball across goal but for some brave defending by Ward-Prowse.
From bravery to sheet stupidity, Mavropanos was under no pressure from the resulting goal kick before giving an under hit blind back pass that was gobbled up by Edouard.
The bottom corner found with ease by the Frenchman’s left boot and Mavropanos looked to the heavens in despair. It is now seven Prem matches without a clean sheet for the Irons.
West Ham could no longer rest on a lead and were urged forward by a home crowd who had been awoken from their slumber.
Chances came and went. Lucas Paqueta’s beautifully picked out Emerson in the box yet the Italy international’s first-time volley blazed over.
Ward-Prowse, still needing one more Prem free-kick goal to level with David Beckham’s record of 18, ensured that would wait would carry on by smacking one into the wall.
And then came the stoppage time chance. A dinked cross towards the hungry eyes of Soucek, only for the ball to loop over his head and onto Bowen’s.
