      Lawrence Okolie vs Lukasz Rozanski LIVE: Brit WINS world title with dominant first-round KO – latest updates

      LAWRENCE OKOLIE beat Lukasz Rozanski in the first round to win the WBC bridgerweight title. Okolie landed flush right hand after flush right hand and floored Rozanksi three times before the referee waved the fight off with just five seconds left of the first round.

      Okolie shows true punch power
      In this new weight division, bridgerweight, it is designed to fill the gap between cruiserweight and heavyweight.
      Okolie showed that his punching stands him in good stead for going up to the heavyweight class but he needs to be able to take those big hits also.
      He was dropped three times in his last fight and although was not tested tonight, he will need to work on that in the future.
      You won’t knock everyone out in the first round after all.

      The champion appeared to reference a punch to the back of the head during a clinch with Okolie.

      ADEMOLA LOOKMAN will go down in Atalanta, and European football, folklore after his stunning Europa League final hat-trick vs Bayer Leverkusen.
      Lookman’s treble was the first in the final of a Uefa competition since 1975.

      A loan at Leicester followed but it was a switch to Atalanta in Serie A which saw Lookman finally fulfil his potential.
      Now playing international football for Nigeria, he helped them reach the Afcon final earlier this year.

      Gareth Southgate believes England can adapt to injuries and challenges this summer.
      The Three Lions boss explained: “The job is here to adapt to the situations you have and they are the cards you dealt with.
      “The consequences you are dealt with. The injuries are a complex thing, they are not one of the things you spoke about, but they could be a lot of those things.
      “Some have played a lot of football, some have come back earlier than they could’ve been. A lot of matches in the calendar. It’s too easy to say winter World Cup or this or that.
      “There’s players with better injury records than others, training intensities. Everyone wants simple solutions, but it isn’t that.”

      But he has paid the price for his struggles this term under Erik ten Hag, who has reduced him to the bench in recent weeks.
      Henderson, 33, is surprisingly left out given he has been a regular during most of Southgate’s tenure.
      But the decision of the 81-cap midfielder to quit Anfield for Saudi Arabia last summer, even if he did leave Al-Ettifaq for Ajax in January, looks to have cost him.
      Wharton, 20, has been a revelation since signing for Palace from Blackburn for £22million in January and has been rewarded with an inclusion.
      While Reds centre-back Quansah, 21, who spent part of last season at Bristol Rovers, has emerged as a regular under Jurgen Klopp this term and been included.
      Team-mate Jones, 23, was England’s best player last summer as they won the Under-21 Euros in Georgia.

      Flicking the ball up into the air for himself, the Ghanaian then unleashed the most spectacular overhead kick to power past Stefan Ortega and stun the Etihad.
