Riyadh line-up confirmed on lively night for Joshua
Anthony Joshua’s verbal clash with Jarrell Miller was the highlight – or lowlight – of the press confference as an epic eight-fight schedule for December 23 in Royadh was confirmed.
AJ will take on Otto Wallin while Deontay Wilder makes his ring return against a THIRD ex-world champion in Joseph Parker.
And former interim WBA king Daniel Dubois aims to shrug off his August defeat to Oleksandr Usyk when he faces Miller.

Fans stunned by AJ vs Miller clash
Fight fans reckon Anthony Joshua’s “hate” for Jarrell Miller shone through as the two clashed at the press conference for the eight-card night in Saudi Arabia on December 23.
Some viewers believe AJ must now take on Miller at some stage – even if it means changing his plans.
Joshua faces Otto Wallin in Riyadh while Miller meets Brit Daniel Dubois the same night.
One fan said: “Joshua really hates that guy” and another added: “He’s got to fight Miller after this.”
And viewers voiced their shock at tonight’s exchange, which Miller started with a verbal onslaught.
“Sheesh the AJ disrespect is crazy,” one argued.
“Miller is just a hype job, just talking with no real achievements, ” claimed another.”
But one fan believes Miller has touched a nerve as he posted: “He’s right tho. AJ has been scared of Wilder!!”
    Miller the chiller wasn’t Joshing
The most brutal line from Jarrell Miller in his clash with Anthony Joshua was surely this.
“If you get in the ring with Wilder, you’ll be in your grave! If you fight me, you’ll go to the hospital.”
AJ responded with an F-word – and much more… repeatedly telling the American to “watch your mouth”.
    Miller replied: “Kiss my a**e.”
AJ in long, pointed chat with Wallin
Fresh from his verbal sparring with Miller, Joshua had an extra long and extremely animated exchange with his December 23 opponent Wallin when they squared up for photos after the press conference.
AJ’s stern face contrasted at first with Wallin’s smiling, chatty persona.
But then the Brit appeared to be drawn into a more feisty encounter – as he joined in the conversation, occasionally pointing at the Swede.
The wise money might be on Wallin trying to capitalise on AJ possibly being unsettled by Miller.
    Jarring exchange….
Here’s how Jarrell Miller looked as he spoke noticeably more brutally than anyone else in the press conference.
    Especially with Anthony Joshua…

    Group photo coming up..
That’s the official part of the press conference out of the way.
Next up is what could be an interesting group photo…
Joshua is smiling a bit more – suggesting he didn’t take his spicy exchange with Jarrell Miller quite as much to heart as it appeared.
But they’ve not looked at each other as they line up in what looks more like an annual school pic – because there are so many people in it.
‘Good to be in same room as AJ’
Deontay Wilder predicted he WILL fight Anthony Joshua.
The bout has long been tipped as an option for next year.
And Wilder said: “It’s good to finally see him in the same roomI wish him all the best. I believe it will happen.”
    ‘People come to see knockouts’
Deontay Wilder is promising to give fight fans what he insists they most want to see in his blockbuster with Joseph Parker.
The American KO specialist said: “So many warriors on this card… very excited to be here.
“Most of all people come to see knockouts, and that’s for sure what I’ve come to deliver.
“It’s just like basketball – I can shoot twos, I can shoot threes, but people want a slam dunk.”
Wilder added of his world titles hopes: “To come back and finish what I started is going to mean everything to me.”
    Joshua stunned by outburst?
It looked like Anthony Joshua still had his verbal clash with Jarrell Miller on his mind – judging by his expression for much of the time.
It’s possible of course he was pondering his crucial fight with Otto Wallin – but AJ’s relaxed demeanour demeanour from just a few minutes suddenly changed when Miller started taunting him.
    Credit: PA
    Joshua still looking furious
Sullen-faced Anthony Joshua still appears furious at an outburst from fellow heavyweight Jarrell Miller.
And rather than taking questions in the normal way, he is quizzed by his promoter Eddie Hearn.
Joshua also insists his best days are ahead of him.
He added: “I cant wait to get to my final destination. I’m fully focused on this fight and determined to get to my peak.”
    Wallin delighted to get chance
Otto Wallin says Anthony Joshua “deserves a lot of respect” – but he’s confident of upsetting AJ.
‘Best chapter for Joshua still to come’
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn believes the Brit’s best days lie ahead.
Hearn said: “There’s the best chapter yet in this story of Anthony Joshua.
“He wants to become world heavyweight champion again. I believe he can do it.”
And he added: “There’s another great fighter in Deontay Wilder and I look forward to that in 2024.”
    Joshua clashes with Miller
Jarrell Miller has trash-talked Anthony Joshua – leading to an astonishing exchange between the two fighters.
AJ looked furious with Miller targeting him in an X-rated confrontation.
And amongst other things the Brit told him: “I’m gonna slap your arse.. watch your mouth.. or I’ll come over there..”
    Dubois must prove doubters wrong
Frank Warren insists his man Daniel Dubois is poised to prove his doubters wrong.
Ahead of the clash with Jarrell Miller, Warren said: “It’s a tough fight. Daniel needs to show what he’s about.
“There’s been some doubts. We believe in him, he believes in him now he’s got to go out and show it.
“He’s got to show on this stage that he can do it. I’ve got faith.”
‘Jarrell one of the best in world’
Promoter Dmitry Salita of course bigs up his “explosive” outsider Jarrell Miller ahead of his clash with Daniel Dubois.
Salita said of controversial Miller: “He’s one of the best heavyweights in the world.. explosive, exciting.
“He’s hungry, he has a lot of power. His size is going to be the key.”
Here’s how it looks on the BIG screen…
As we wait to hear from the main men of the night, here’s how the line-up looks on screen at the press conference.
Now Daniel Dubois’ clash with Jarrell Miller is being discussed.

    Joshua so relaxed
We haven’t heard from Anthony Joshua yet – but his smile speaks volumes.
The Brit will be scooping mega millions when he takes on Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia.

Lyndon is ‘best opponent in division’
Mancunian Lyndon Arthur says he is “excited to be a part of it” – the Riyadh card – as he prepares to challenge for Dmitry Bivol’s WBA light heavyweight belt.
For his part, Bivol described Arthur as the “best opponent in the division” he could face.
    Walk on the Wilder side
We’ve heard from the promoters on what’s a huge stage full of fighters.
And perhaps the main with the most swagger as he walked in was Deontay Wilder, who will be taking on Joshua Parker.
Eddie Hearn is back on again, calling December 23 a “great opportunity for some many British fighters”.

    ‘Change is refreshing’
Eddie Hearn joins in the praise for what seems an awesome card.
As Saudi Arabia continues its inroads into boxing the promoter told the press conference: “We all want the sport of boxing to grow.
“We want opportunities for our fighters.
This is the opportunity for something special. I’ve never seen a card like this before.”
Anthony Joshua made a relaxed entryCredit: PA
‘Best card world has ever seen’
Junior Fa, who will meet unbeaten Frank Sanchez, calls it “the best card the world has ever seen”.
And the New Zealander might need the best display of his life to shock Cuban opponent Sanchez.
    Warren hails ‘huge opportunity’
Promoter Frank Warren thanks Saudi organisers for a “huge opportunity” – but also admits there was “huge pressure” to organise such an eight-fight schedule so quickly.
He added: “These are great fights. We are doing it for the fans because they are the ones who count.”
    ‘Rumours are true’
Anthony Joshua’s fight with Otto Wallin is confirmed.
And so is the rest of a hard-hitting heavyweight schedule.
Joshua’s bout is announced with the line: “For boxing fans following the rumours, we’ve got great news – it’s true.”
    Joshua takes his seat
Eddie Hearn wears the biggest smile so far as he takes his seat.
Fellow promoter Frank Warren acknowledges the audience.

Follow all the action with our live blog below…
    That’s all folks
Thanks for tuning in with us for Chelsea and City’s amazing 4-4 draw.
    Game of the season? Probably.
City led first, Chelsea pegged them back, led themselves, before City turned it around.
Pep will be fuming his side dropped points from winning positions twice at 3-2 and 4-3.
    Until next time.
    Carragher’s wrong Chelsea call
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was forced to take back a comment about Nicolas Jackson during Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.
Jackson got on the scoresheet in the 67th minute to bring the score level for the third time – just a few seconds after Carragher said that he “hadn’t seen much” of him.
Following the 22-year-old’s goal, Carragher was forced to track back on his comment.
While commentating on the match, the former defender joked: “And that’s why am not a coach!”
    Sterling tackle
Football fans were left stunned after Raheem Sterling clattered into former team-mate Phil Foden during Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.
Sterling was one of Maurico Pochettino’s star players as the Blues held treble winners Man City to a 4-4 draw.
He fired his team ahead in the 37th minute following Erling Haaland’s opener and Thiago Silva’s equaliser.
But additional goals from Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer, Manuel Akanji, Rodri and Haaland saw the points shared at Stamford Bridge.
With the scores level in the final stages of the game, Sterling gave Chelsea fans a fright after committing a foul on Foden on the edge of the penalty area.
The Chelsea winger lunged in on the City star in a powerful tackle, but did not get any of the ball.

    Wind-up merchant
Cole Palmer was sent flying by Erling Haaland as he tried to pull off a cheeky stunt against Manchester City.
The Chelsea hero equalised in the game with a late penalty but was not done winding up his old team in the thrilling Premier League 4-4 draw.
Man City had one last chance to win the game after being awarded a free-kick on the edge of the host’s penalty area.
Haaland, along with Bernardo Silva, Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish, were discussing their plan for the set-piece when Palmer came over.
The former City star, 20, tried to walk into their meeting, however, Haaland was less than impressed.
The Norwegian was quick to shove Palmer away and keep his side’s plan to themselves.
    Thriller at Stamford Bridge
Pep Guardiola believes the thrilling 4-4 draw between Chelsea and Man City was a great advertisement for the Premier League.
He was also full of praise for the Blues.
He told beinSPORTS: “I give credit to the opponent, it was a good advertisement for the Premier League honestly!”
    Guardiola’s mind games
If Pep sees Liverpool and Arsenal as threats to Man City’s Premier League crown, he’s given his greatest indication yet.
Talking about the draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, he was quick to bring his rivals into the conversation.
He told Sky Sports: “Liverpool couldn’t win here and they were much much better than Arsenal.”
    Palmer’s game by numbers
Cole Palmer’s game by numbers vs. Man City:
    51 touches
    7 final third entries
    4 touches in opp. box
    4 penalty area entries
    4 x possession won
    3 shots
    2 shots on target
    1 goal
    We feel a bit exhausted
Manchester City midfielder Rodri, speaking to Sky Sports: “We feel a bit exhausted to be honest, with that game with that rhythm.
“We know how tough it is to come here with the team they built. They signed massive players, five, six seven and the level of the team has risen. It wasn’t our best performance today, we can look more to ourselves, conceding four goals is not normal for us. Sometimes football is like this, but we have to work on the mistakes.
“We played what they wanted to, quick transitions, they are a better team in those situations. They are faster, stronger and we have to play our game and we struggled.
“Not losing all the balls we lost, having more of the ball, individual performance of us as a team. We support each other and move forward. Even though it wasn’t the best day, we keep pushing.
“We were close to winning his game a bit disappointed of this fact. Big credit fo the opponent they created pressure, we are the treble winners, everyone wants to beat us.
“We’re first in the league so we will be refreshed to come back.”
    Rollercoaster
This is Pep Guardiola’s 882nd game as a manager, and the first to see his team both score and concede four goals in a single match.
    Thanks, Opta.
    Upmost respect
Cole Palmer quotes, as promised. He said: “Very strange the first time I have played against Manchester City – I have the upmost respect for the club I spent 15 years at and it is nice to see some friends.
“Unlucky to not get the win. I have many City fans I know but it is the game.
“It was a long time waiting (for the penalty), but I felt confident. I’ve had a few now, I kept focused in the 90-something minute. I won’t say I work on penalties, I don’t. I just trusted in my ability.
“I was excited to see the game, we went behind a few times and bounced back.”
    Awkward…
Genuinely painful post-match interview moment there.
It was all going quite well until Raheem Sterling got something in his eye. The reporter wanted a closer inspection and offered to get what I think was grass out for the Chelsea winger.
“No, you’ll just get more dirt in my eye,” responds Sterling before everyone forgot what question had been asked. Raz hands the Player of the Match award to Palmer and the pair walk off.

    Reaction
    “It’s a game innit,” Cole Palmer, 2023.
Full quotes and reaction to come from Chelsea’s playmaker.
    A classic
Micah Richards is in bits in the Sky Sports studio. And he’s in absolutely no doubt that this was a stone cold classic.
He said: “It has to. It was exceptional, it was furious, it was frantic, it was fantastic. It had everything, goals, bad defending, good play, tackles… That man Cole Palmer. Was it the right move for him? It certainly was because he was outstanding today. Showing his worth for £45m.
“If you were a spectator today you got your money’s worth!”
    Cojones
Cole Palmer stopping up to take a penalty in the 95th-minute, against his boyhood club. As Alan Shearer has just tweeted: “Big mineral’s Cole Palmer.”
Couldn’t put it better myself, Al. He’s only been at the club for 70 days!

    What’s next?
    An international break, unfortunately.
Chelsea return to action with a tough trip to Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Manchester City? Well, they host Liverpool in the Saturday lunchtime kick off. I’m sure Jurgen Klopp will be thrilled about that.
    Poch blast
Blimey! Mauricio Pochettino is clearly caught up in all the madness. He strides onto the pitch after the full-time whistle, shouting something at the referee.
He regains his senses enough to give Kyle Walker a hug and congratulate his own players. Kind of an odd reaction truth be told.

    Chelsea 4-4 Manchester City
FT: It’s over folks. What an epic, epic encounter for the ages. Breathless from start to finish. Two penalties, eight goals, eight bookings and at the end of it – it’s a point each. Mad.
    Chelsea 4-4 Manchester City
98: Over! Kyle Walker is given the honour but bends an effort over the crossbar. That has to be the final chance of the game.
    Chelsea 4-4 Manchester City
96: Jackson and Grealish were booked when the referee was surrounded folks. Two minutes left on the clock.
Sterling booked for wiping out Foden just outside the penalty area. Can Manchester City have a crack from here?
Chelsea 4-4 Manchester City – Palmer (pen)
94: GOAL! “City’s boy is Chelsea’s man,” screams the commentator. Cole Palmer fires the ball into the top corner, well beyond the outstretched Ederson, who guessed the right way. It’s 4-4!
    Credit: getty
    Chelsea 3-4 Manchester City
93: VAR has checked it and it’s a penalty. No question. A few bookings are tossed out but we’ll get to those after young Cole Palmer steps up to take the spot-kick.
    Huge pressure.
    Chelsea 3-4 Manchester City
92: PENALTY TO CHELSEA! Ruben Dias comes flying across to intercept Raheem Sterling’s ball for Armando Broja and completely takes him out. Clear as day as Anthony Taylor points towards the spot.
Huge protests from Manchester City, near-enough 22 players are surrounding the referee.
    Chelsea 3-4 Manchester City
90: Armando Broja replaces Moises Caicedo. EIGHT MINUTES OF STOPPAGE TIME. Huge roar from the Chelsea fans – can they conjure up one last chance?
    Chelsea 3-4 Manchester City
87: So cruel for Thiago Silva. The ball cannons off his leg and darts into the opposite corner that it was heading. Nothing the goalkeeper could have done about it.
Chelsea 3-4 Manchester City – Rodri
86: GOAL! Ecstasy for the champions – agony for Chelsea as a heavily deflected Rodri efforts flies beyond Robert Sanchez. So, so unfortunate for the hosts but the Spanish midfielder doesn’t care as he knee slides into the corner.

Chelsea vs Man City LIVE SCORE: Reece James STARTS in big Blues boost against Haaland and Co – Premier League updates

CHELSEA are hoping to build on their win over Tottenham today but it doesn’t get much harder than a clash with Premier League champions Manchester City. The Blues haven’t beaten or scored a goal against City since the Champions League final in 2021, so they have it all to do today at Stamford Bridge.

    Kick-off time: 4.30pm GMT
    TV/Stream: Sky Sports Premier League
Chelsea XI: Sanchez, James, Disasi, Thiago Silva, Cucurella, Enzo Fernandez, Gallagher, Caicedo, Palmer, Sterling, Jackson
Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Foden, Doku, Alvarez, Haaland

Chelsea vs Man City odds: Get 30/1 for a goal to be scored

    Full Time
The early kick-offs are over folks. Brighton killing accas all over the place these days.

    Aston Villa 3-1 Fulham
    Brighton 1-1 Sheffield United
    Liverpool 3-0 Brentford
    Wets Ham 3-2 Nottingham Forest

Liverpool’s win puts them on 27 points, level with Manchester City and Arsenal in the table. Can City grab that three-point cushion this afternoon?
Just four points from a possible 15 in the Premier League for Brighton over the last five outings. Those Europa League commitments are certainly starting to have an affect on Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
    Credit: getty
    Colwill out
As mentioned, there’s no Levi Colwill in the Chelsea squad today. He’s carrying an injury, and will therefore be unlikely to feature for England during the international break.
    Tips
SunSport’s betting experts have previewed the contest, and here’s a few of their tips for today’s contest.

    Marc Cucurella 2+ fouls

Marc Cucurella has three yellow cards, in just five Premier League appearances this season. He’s amassed five fouls in that time and that number will surely increase here with City’s attack running at him — particularly Jeremy Doku.

Cole Palmer 2+ shots on target

His first meeting against his former side and Cole Palmer arrives here in pretty good form. He has three goals in his last five Chelsea appearances and has been pivotal in that time. Doesn’t need to score to land this one but two efforts on target isn’t out of the question.
You can read the full preview HERE
    ‘Okay, leave’
It’s the Cole Palmer derby, folks.
Quite cool to have your name used in a derby by the age of 21.
Anyway, the youngster has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge, scoring three goals and providing four assists in 10 appearances since his £42million switch from Manchester City.
But how did the transfer go down? Quite awkwardly, actually. I’ll just let Pep explain.
He said: “Cole arrived and accepted some processes and then after one or two years said ‘No, I don’t want to play here, I am not going to play.’
“But I said ‘Riyad Mahrez is leaving, you are going to get a chance here,’ and he said ‘No, I am not going to play here, I want to leave,’ so I said ‘OK, leave,’”
Sounds like a case of ‘I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed’ from Pep.

    Bonkers
It’s all getting a bit silly in the Premier League this afternoon. Goals flying in all over the place.
Raul Jimenez has scored to reduce the deficit to 3-1 against Aston Villa.
Mahmoud Dahood has been sent off for Brighton, who almost immediately saw their 1-0 advantage disappear thanks to Adam Webster’s own goal.
Liverpool are cruising at 3-0 against Brentford thanks to a double from Mohamed Salah and one from Diogo Jota.
It’s 2-2 between West Ham and Nottingham Forest. Anthony Elanga put the visitors ahead before Jarrod Bowen equalised.
Ten minutes remaining in the lot.
    Credit: getty
    Ch-ch-ch changes
Just one for Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino starts Marc Cucurella at left-back, replacing replacing the absent Levi Colwill.
As for Manchester City, they make three changes from the team that crushed Bournemouth last weekend.
John Stones and Nathan Ake are replaced by Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias. Phil Foden comes in for midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
    STARTING XI
    Those team sheets are out.
Chelsea XI: Sanchez, Disasi, Silva, Cucurella, James, Fernandez, Caicedo, Gallagher, Sterling, Palmer, Jackson
Subs: Petrovic, Badiashile, Mudryk, Madueke, Ugochukwu, Broja, Gusto, Maatsen, Matos
Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Bernardo, Doku, Foden, Alvarez, Haaland
Subs: Ortega, Carson, Phillips, Kovacic, Grealish, Nunes, Bobb, Lewis
    Team news
    Any minute now…
    Blue streak
OK, two-consecutive wins isn’t exactly a streak, but Chelsea have some fairly decent results under their belt in recent(ish) weeks.
They have five wins in their last seven, and arguably should have come away with maximum points against Arsenal having squandered a two-goal advantage.
They received ZERO credit for struggling to break down nine-man Tottenham on Monday in that crazy five-goal thriller, but the fact remains – they eventually did and will be hoping to make further inroads up the table today.
    City slickers
Manchester City are in THAT mood aren’t they.
It happens every year. Pep Guardiola’s side will quite comfortably reel off 12 wins on the spin to propel themselves clear of the chasing pack.
It looks like that’s started early this year. The Cityzens have won their last five in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and keeping two clean sheets.
Manchester City’s tally of 27 points is their highest after 11 league matches since they had 29 at this stage in 2018-19.
    Premier League beware.
    Credit: getty
    Tale of the tape
This doesn’t read too well for Chelsea fans. In recent years at least.
Manchester City have won 1-0 in each of the past four Premier League meetings.
In fact, Chelsea have lost all of their last six meetings against the Cityzens, failing to score in any of those.
    Latest scores
Four games are already up and running in the Premier League this afternoon. It’s half-time around the grounds and here are the latest scores.
Aston Villa 2-0 Fulham: It’s looking like a walk in the park (Villa Park to be specific) for Unai Emery’s side. An Antonee Robinson own goal and rocket from John McGinn see them lead Fulham 2-0.
Brighton 1-0 Sheffield United: Cracker this. Simon Adingra plays a one-two with Facundo Buonanotte and coolly slots past Wes Foderingham.
Liverpool 1-0 Brentford: Quite a feisty contest at Anfield today, but it’s Jurgen Klopp’s side who lead thanks to Mohamed Salah. Just the two offside goals from Darwin Nunez thus far.
West Ham 1-1 Nottingham Forest: Lucas Paqueta gave the Hammers an early lead courtesy of a terrible pass from Nicolás Domínguez. Taiwo Awoniyi levelled things up just before the break.

    Enjoy it
I would recommending savouring this one folks.
It’s your last helping of Premier League action until after the international break on November 25th.
Unless England’s dead rubbers against Malta and North Macedonia are your thing. In that case you’ll be laughing…
    Team news
Ben Chilwell, Romeo Lavia, Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka and Christopher Nkunku all remain sidelined for Chelsea.
Armando Broja is expected to be available, but Jackson should keep his place in the team.
Guardiola has confirmed John Stones will be out for some time after picking up an injury in the 3-1 win over Young Boys in midweek.
Manuel Akanji is also set to be absent with a back injury, while Sergio Gomez and Kevin De Bruyne are still missing.
    Match day settings
Stamford Bridge will play host to tonight’s game.
Chelsea haven’t beaten Manchester City at Stamford Bridge since June 2020, which was played with no fans during the first wave of Covid-19.

Welcome to Chelsea vs Man City!
Hello and welcome to SunSport’s live coverage of Chelsea vs Manchester City in the Premier League!
The Blues will be buoyed by their 4-1 win over Tottenham earlier this week but Man City are a whole different beast.
It’s been a less than stellar start to the season for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who are still finding their feet with an inexperienced squad of players.
City, however, have kept the winning train rolling for the most part, and they find themselves top of the league once again after slip-ups against Arsenal and Wolves.
Haaland and Co will fancy themselves today, but Chelsea have arguably performed best against their fellow Big Sixers this season.
Cole Palmer, who left City for Stamford Bridge in the summer in a deal worth £45million, will be looking to prove a point in particular.

    First half facts and figures
Arsenal had 68% possession in the opening 45 minutes, but it’s Burnley who registered the most shots on target with all four of their attempts forcing Raya into saves.

    Half-time – Arsenal 1-0 Burnley
Michael Oliver immediately blows his whistle and it’s a very different half-time break that now awaits Mikel Arteta, Vincent Kompany and 55,000 Arsenal fans.
Burnley had contained the Gunners well in the opening 45 minutes but switched off in added time, and that was all Arteta’s men needed to nick a goal through Leandro Trossard.
The Belgian’s strike may force the visitors to come out of their shell more in the second half – although they have threatened – and, in turn, that may present Arsenal with the chances to assert their superiority.
    Arsenal 1-0 Burnley
45+1. Burnley had one minute of stoppage time to see out, but barely made to two seconds.
The Clarets are finally undone by two brave pieces of play from Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard.
Zinchenko tosses a hopeful cross into the penalty area, one met by Saka getting up impressively between two defenders.
The England ace heads back across goal where Trossard arrives to nod home despite the immediate threat of James Trafford and the far post.
In fact, the Belgian has taken a heavy blow off the frame of the goal in scoring, and requires treatment while his teammates celebrate.
Either way, Arsenal are in front on the stroke of half-time.

    Breakthrough!

    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    45. The board goes up for one added minute before half-time.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    43. Arsenal were beginning to take a real grip of the contest midway through the second half, moving the ball about quicker in the final third and finding pockets of space.
That seems to have stagnated now though with Trossard and Havertz the most guilty of slowing play down in their latest attack.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    41. Less than five minutes until half-time, and Vincent Kompany will be delighted if his side can make it with a clean sheet still in tact.
A reminder that all four of the Clarets’ points this season have come away from home.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    39. This time Koleosho gives up possession with a crossfield pass straight to Jorginho.
Thankfully for the Italian, five of his teammates come to his rescue by rapidly closing down Martinelli on the edge of the penalty area.

    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    37. The first signs of frustration creeping in for the home fans, as their latest roam forward is brought to an abrupt end by an offside flag.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    35. Trafford tips over again!
Once again, Burnley are the architects of their own downfall, giving up possession in their own defensive third, and allow Arsenal to get to work.
On the edge of the box, Trossard uses Martinelli’s run by not using him, and unleashes a shot that stings the Burnley goalkeeper’s hands.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    33. More possession and more corners for the Gunners.
Martinelli tries his luck this time over on the left, but the Brazilian’s cross is comfortably dealt with in the air by the dominant Berge.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    31. Burnley go close to taking a shock lead!
Gudmundsson squeezes between Zinchenko and Saliba to race on to Brownhill’s through ball, and strikes low.
It looks destined for the bottom corner right until Raya gets down to his left to push away.
An excellent save from the underfire goalkeeper.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    29. Trossard dances his way to the byline and wins corner number five for the hosts.
Saka goes near post with his delivery once again, and this time it’s met by Havertz’s wayward header.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    28. Down the other end, Rodriguez gets a shot off but without the direction or power to test Raya.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    26. Trafford again shows off his reflexes with an acrobatic dive to claw Beyer’s header from off his own line.
Not that it would have counted, the referee had already whistle for a foul against Saka, penalised for planting two hands on the back of Koleosho.
Arsenal fans will tell you that’s not always given as a free-kick.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    24. Lovely stuff from Zinchenko, who crops up on the right as Arsenal’s fluid football takes hold.
The Ukrainian’s smart trap and backheel releases Saka, whose low cross is intended for Trossard in the centre.
The Belgian’s connection and then the follow-up shot from Havertz are both blocked by the brave defending of O’Shea.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    22. Saka is in the thick of the action again, this time going to ground inside the box on the left under the challenge of O’Shea.
It wasn’t the cleanest coming together, but Michael Oliver is in the rice place to say no penalty – and it’s the right decision.
However, it was a quick Arsenal break, sparked by Rice’s fine interception on the edge of his own area.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    20. Saka shoots! Trafford saves!
Amdouni commits the cardinal sin of dithering on the ball in his own penalty area, and Saka steals in to strike first time.
It’s heading for the top corner until the Burnley goalkeeper flies across his line to tip on to the bar and over.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    18. In fact, it’s worth remembering that the last time Burnley came here in January 2022, Mikel Arteta’s Gunners were booed after a 0-0 draw off despite recording 20 shots at goal and 76% possession.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    17. Arsenal have bossed the ball, clocking up 67% possession so far, but so far there has been little attacking threat.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    15. Saliba tries to pick out the run of Rice with a lofted pass over the top, but Trafford rushes off his line to claim.
That will be a much-needed confident boost for the young keeper.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    13. Trossard and Martinelli combine well on the left to open up some space inside the penalty area, but before they can exploit it, the assistant referee’s flag goes up for offside.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    11. Burnley continue to sit deep. but they are actually defending quite well in the face of Arsenal attacks.
It’s only when in possession that the visitors look a concern.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    9. Have Burnley brought their drummer with them to London?
There’s certainly a bassey-kettle feel to the noise emanating from the away section of the Emirates.
    Arsenal 0-0 Burnley
    7. A strong response from Burnley.
There’s some good fortune as referee Michael Oliver interferes with play in midfield, but then Amdouni takes charge with menace.
Driving at the the home defence, the striker lets fly from 20 yards with a shot that Raya is required to push behind. More
