    Ratcliffe faces competition
Manchester United are facing competition from Saudi Pro League clubs for highly-rated sporting director Paul Mitchell.
Mitchell has been linked with a move to United as part of a management shake-up if Sir Jim Ratcliffe buys into the club and takes control of football operations.
But Saudi clubs are also looking at the ex-Tottenham and Southampton chief as they plan the next phase of their recruitment drive.
The 42-year-old left Monaco earlier this year and recently moved back to his native North West, fuelling talk that the Red Devils would be his next port of call.
Mitchell’s record of identifying players with world-class potential like Son Heung-Min, Sadio Mane and Dele Alli, is also attracting attention in the Middle East.
So far, the SPL recruitment has been run centrally, with ex-Chelsea chief Michael Emenalo acting as director of football for the whole league while its clubs spent millions.
    Jadon Sancho mix up
There was confusion during Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag’s press conference on Monday as he spoke ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Copenhagen.
Fans thought Ten Hag had confirmed Jadon Sancho was available after mishearing “Sergio” as “Sancho”.
Sancho remains out of contention after his falling out with the Dutch tactician but Sergio Reguilon has returned to fitness.
Yes, we hope, Sergio, he got ill for Saturday.
He was fit, he trained all week last week. Today he will train and we will have to assess if he’s ready.Erik ten Hag
Ten Hag pays tribute to Charlton
Erik ten Hag has paid tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton following his death aged 86.
Speaking ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Copenhagen, he told reporters: “He is a huge inspiration for us every day.
“He is in front of Old Trafford, with Denis Law and George Best [in the statue].
“He is always with us. I am sure it will be even more a very emotional evening.”
Hojlund ‘fired up’ to face old club
Rasmus Hojlund is looking forward to facing his former club Copenhagen on Tuesday night.
The Danish side visit Old Trafford on matchday three in the Champions League.
Hojlund was born in the Danish capital and joined the club’s academy in 2017, spending over four years with Copenhagen before joining Sturm Graz.
Speaking ahead of the match, Erik ten Hag told reporters: “He grew up there at this club and you know he will be highly motivated.
“That’s for me, for the team, but especially of course from him to send that in the right direction, the right balance.”

    United confusion
There was confusion at Erik ten Hag’s press conference on Monday as he spoke ahead of their Champions League clash with Copenhagn.
Fans thought the Manchester United manager had confirmed Jadon Sancho was available after mishearing “Sergio” as “Sancho”.
Sancho remains out of contention after his falling out with Ten Hag but Sergio Reguilon has returned to fitness.
“Yes, we hope, Sergio, he got ill for Saturday,” Ten Hag explained.
“He was fit, he trained all week last week. Today he will train and we will have to assess if he’s ready.”
    Earps hits back at fan
Mary Earps has hit back at a fan who accused the Manchester United keeper of being “too important” to engage with supporters after her side’s 5-0 win over Everton.
A supporter had taken to social media after the match claiming Earps had failed to stop for her daughter at full-time.
“Thank you Ella Toone & Nikita Parris for stopping to meet my daughter today,” the fan wrote on Instagram. “It’s a shame Mary Earps is far too busy and important to stop for her fans these days!!”
In response, Earps said: “I try to ignore comments like these – but after a great win & spending so much time post-game meeting so many of you lovely lot afterwards, it’s hurtful to get home and get tagged in comments like these. Be kind. Happy Sunday. Love Mary x”
    De Gea reunites with Fernandes
David de Gea has sent Manchester United fans into meltdown by reuniting with a former team-mate.
The goalkeeper posed for a selfie with Bruno Fernandes as they linked up for their eSports team Rebels Gaming.
De Gea remains without a club after leaving Old Trafford when his contract expired in the summer.
Some United supporters have called for him to return, though, after Andre Onana’s shaky start to the season.

Update on United’s interest in Boey
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Manchester United’s reported interest in Sacha Boey.
Both United and Arsenal are amongst the Premier League clubs to have been linked with the Galatasaray full-back in recent months.
However, Romano has now shut down those rumours, with no negotiations over a move currently ongoing.
“We see this link since he joined Stellar agency in the summer, but he’s never been close to a move,” the transfer guru explained.
“There are no negotiations as of now as Galatasaray consider Boey a key player – his price was already around €30m in the summer.”
    No Guehi talks yet
Manchester United are yet to hold talks over a potential move for Marc Guehi.
The Crystal Palace star is one of a number of defenders to have been linked with United in recent weeks.
Erik ten Hag is understood to be keen to sign a new centre-back in 2024, with Guehi tipped as a possible target.
However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that “no concrete talks” have taken place as of yet.
United could miss out on key target
Manchester United face competition to sign Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio.
The Portugal international has been a long-term target for the Red Devils.
However, Liverpool are now plotting to hijack the transfer and land Inacio themselves, the Mirror report.
The Reds reportedly scouted the player whilst he was away with Portugal earlier this month.

Gullit slams Utd stars for Hojlund service
Ruud Gulllit has slammed Man Utd’s stars for starving Rasmus Hojlund of service.
“I still think you have to get your striker on the scoresheet,” Gullit told Premier League Productions.
“Because if he gets on the scoresheet he gets confidence, then also the rest are looking for him all the time. They don’t look for him as much. And he’s in areas where you can have a look at him.
“You see too many players too eager to score themselves, they’re coming inside, they want to hit the target all the time. I played with [Marco] Van Basten, I always thought if I give it to him it’s a goal, if I hit it then it could be a goal.
“I’d rather give it to him because it’s a definite goal. You know strikers, they’re selfish, they need to score goals. If he’s happy in the team that makes a huge difference for the rest.”
    Shearer’s message to Utd’s forward
Alan Shearer has been unimpressed with Man Utd’s forwards this season after they laboured to another win.
Following the Sheffield Utd game, the Match of the Day pundit said: “The manager was right, you have got to find a way to win and they certainly did that.
“But you feel as though, if they want to get in and around the top-four, one thing has to change and that’s the forwards have to chip in more with goals .
“They certainly created chances and they should have put the ball in the back of the net more than they did.”
    Reijnders targeted
Man Utd have been linked with a move for Tijjani Reijnders.
According to Calciomercato, the 25-year-old will cost the club around £40million.
The Manchester Evening News claims that the Red Devils want to sign four players next summer.
A new midfielder is a priority. However, Reijnders could be available as soon as January.
Ratcliffe a ‘step in the right direction’
Dwight Yorke believes Sr Jim Ratcliffe’s backing is a step in the right direction.
“Sir Jim Ratcliffe is coming now and he’s bought 25% of the club,” he told Stocklytics.
“It’s hard to comment on the details, but that tells me he won’t be in full control, so at least that’s a quarter of the club in the right direction! It may not have full control, but it gives Ratcliffe enough to get the club to a certain standard.
“You need to win the domestic league to start attracting the best players, and if we don’t do that, we can forget about Mbappe right now. You have to win and show intent to compete against City and Liverpool.”
    Javi Guerra chase
Arsenal and Man Utd are locked in a battle for 20-year-old wonderkid Javi Guerra, according to a report.
The Valencia star has a £87.3million release clause in his contract.
According to 90min, Tottenham, Newcastle and West Ham are also said to be keeping tabs on the midfielder.
    Lingard’s wage demands
Ex-Man Utd star Jesse Lingard won’t be joining the Saudi revolution.
The former England winger was locked in talks with Al-Ettifaq.
However, according to Ben Jacobs the deal is now off.
Jacobs wrote on X: “Understand Al-Ettifaq will not sign Jesse Lingard. Although club have been impressed by him in training, two players would need to be released to add him.
“This will likely not happen in January. Lingard’s financial demands too high either way. No pre-contract has been offered.”
    Loos has no regrets
Rebecca Loos says she has no regrets over her affair with Man Utd legend David Beckham – and admits he even made her “feel special”.
Recalling the night they had sex, Rebecca told The Mail on Sunday: “He singled me out, made me feel special.
“I remember turning to him and saying you’re so lucky, you can have whoever you want.
“And he looked me in the eyes and said, ‘I’ve never done this before’. I thought, ‘Wow’. I mean I foolishly fell for it.”
    Ten Hag’s Maguire praise
Erik ten Hag was full of praise for Harry Maguire.
The Dutchman laid down the challenge to the England defender, after he lost his place in the Man Utd line up.
But, he has since responded with some commanding displays.
After the game, ten Hag said, via Fabrizio Romano: “Harry Maguire is playing like we want him to play, dominating his opponent. I am happy with his performances.
“He deserved MOTM award yesterday. He played a really good game, and read the game very well. I am pleased for him.”

    Utd legend’s grandson scores winner
Lewis Macari followed in the footsteps of his famous grandad to score a screamer on his EFL debut – winning the game and sparking wild scenes.
The 21-year-old is on the books of Stoke, having come through the Potters’ academy.
But after loans at non-league Market Drayton Town and Dundalk, he has now joined Notts County in League Two.
And he delivered the goods on his senior debut for the Magpies.
After replacing Richard Brindley as an early sub away at Gillingham on Saturday, Macari decided the game with a superb strike 12 minutes from time.

    Ten hag expect transfer control
Erik ten Hag expects to keep having his say on who Man Utd bring in, despite Jim Ratcliffe buying a stake in the club.
Ratcliffe’s INEOS group is expected to gain control of the football operations at the club.
Currently, ten Hag and the recruitment department have to agree on future signings together.
The Telegraph claims ten Hag doesn’t expect that to change in the future under new ownership.
    LaLiga talents scouted
Man Utd scouted two LaLiga talents this weekend, according to reports.
Football Transfers claims that the Red Devils sent representatives to watch Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi and Takefusa Kubo.
The pair were in action in a 1-0 win for their side.
Zubimendi is seen as a longterm replacement for Casemiro, while winger Kubo could come in for out of favour Jadon Sancho, if he leaves the club in Janaury.
McIlroy wants a slice of Utd
Rory McIlroy says he would love to buy a slice of Manchester United and welcomed Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s involvement with his boyhood club.
He said: “Sports team ownership used to be limited to private equity, and people who had a ton of money.
“But now sports stars are becoming more savvy and using their money in the right way.
“I would love to be able to own a tiny percentage of the club I grew up cheering on as a boy.
“I would have loved to have taken 0.00001 per cent of Manchester United when Jim Ratcliffe took 25 per cent.
“And if another opportunity comes my way I will look at it. But it is not something that has come across our table as of yet.
“There is Tom Brady at Birmingham and there are a few golfers -Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas – who invested with the 49ers Group, and they own a tiny slice of Leeds.
“They asked me if I wanted to come on board, and I said as a Man United fan I cannot go anywhere near that.
“Sir Jim has got a great track record and everybody that does support United should be excited by the possibilities if they give him full sporting authority and decisions for the club. As a fan I am excited.” More

    Battle to land Mitchell
Manchester United are hoping to make Paul Mitchell their next sporting director.
But the ex-Spurs and Southampton chief is also wanted by several Saudi clubs.
Mitchell is a wanted man after leaving Monaco this summer.
And United will be hoping he’s not interested in the riches of the Middle East as they look for a fresh start under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
    Pott luck for Devils
Manchester United are reportedly eyeing Graham Potter as their next manager.
The former Chelsea and Brighton boss is appreciated by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who will stick by Erik ten Hag for now.
But if the Dutchman fails to improve results and the general atmosphere, Potter could seal a sensational Premier League return with United.
Is this how the Red Devils could look under the English tactician?

Erik ten Hag dedicates win to Sir Bobby Charlton
United manager Ten Hag said post-match: “Very sad, our thoughts are with his family, especially his wife, his children and grandchildren.
“What he achieved in football was immense. Also his personality off the pitch. The football world lost a big man.
“We had to show our respect for him and I think we did that today. We wanted to celebrate but also to remember him.
“[The tribute from our fans] was fantastic. We have to pay contribution, pay our big goodbye, remembering Bobby Charlton because what he did was magnificent.
“He was outstanding on the pitch and off it.
“We wanted to remember Sir Bobby and I think we did it in a decent way.”
    Casemiro’s return
Erik ten Hag is not unhappy that Casemiro played with an injured ankle for Brazil against Uruguay, but expects him to be fit for the Manchester derby next weekend.
“You can’t – they are the rules,” the Dutchman said.
“And he’s played for his nation and he’s playing for us and we all understand Casemiro is a solider and he is always available for every game, he will always gives his best for nation and Manchester United.
“He was injured in the first game and he came off but he played the second game, it was an important one. I’m sure that game didn’t help him but it’s a small injury and he’ll return next week and he will be healed and ready for our next game, I’m sure.”
    Recruitment is key says Souness
Graeme Souness believes that recruitment will be key for Sir Jim Ratcliffe if he is to address Man Utd’s slump.
“They [United] are one of, if not the biggest club in the world. Yet, they have a modest group of players,” the Scot told the Daily Mail.
“Because of that, there is one area Ratcliffe must address with urgency. Recruitment.
“This is the most important thing you have to get right at any club. Man United, since Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill left in 2013, have given a masterclass in how not to do it, and they’ve spent over £1billion in the process.”
    Mark of respect
Man Utd’s stars wore black armbands in respect of Bobby Charlton’s passing.
Here is Harry Maguire showing off his after a win against Sheffield United.

    Greenwood stops at Burger King
Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood could be in for a grilling — as he is clocked grabbing a Burger King with his father.
His new coach at Spanish club Getafe, José Bordalás, forbids players from eating junk food.

But Greenwood, 22, and dad Andrew stopped off to collect two Burger King meals after training yesterday in Madrid.
Bordalás says the players are weighed every day and get a fine if they are too hefty.
Greenwood was loaned this summer after charges including attempted rape were dropped.
    Ten Hag’s quotes on
Erik ten Hag calls Charlton a “giant” of the game.
A legend, a giant, his achievements are so immense and global… I never had the honour to meet him but what I heard, despite all his trophies and games, he was so humble and a big personality, he’s an example for all of us in society and global wide.”Ten Hag on Charlton’s passing More

    Poch hoping to earn Spurs
Maurico Pochettino is no stranger to the importance of matches against Arsenal, having taken charge of Tottenham in 13 North London derbies.
And now the Chelsea faithful will be hoping he can bring a bit of his magic to the Bridge.
Pochettino has never lost a Premier League home game against the Gunners, winning three and drawing three of his six such meetings.
Overall, his sides have only failed to score in two of his 13 league meetings with the Gunners, though they’ve never scored more than twice in a match.
    Arsenal welcome back Saka
The big news in the Arsenal camp is that Bukayo Saka has recovered from his recent hamstring trouble.
The England star is joined in Mikel Arteta’s front three by Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, who is rewarded with a start after his match-winning contribution against Manchester City last time out.
Meanwhile, Jorginho starts in midfield against his former club as David Raya continues in goal; Aaron Ramsdale isn’t even on the Arsenal bench with Karl Hein named as the visitors reserve keeper this evening.

    Arsenal (4-3-3): 22 Raya; 4 White, 2 Saliba, 6 Gabriel, 35 Zinchenko; 8 Odegaard, 20 Jorginho, 41 Rice; 7 Saka, 9 Jesus, 11 Martinelli
    Substitutes: 31 Hein, 5 Partey, 10 Smith Rowe, 14 Nketiah, 15 Kiwior, 19 Tomiyasu, 19 Trossard, 24 Nelson, 29 Havertz

    Gusto back for Blues
Mauricio Pochettino makes two changes to the side that he sent out at Burnley before the international break.
The Argentina welcomes back Malo Gusto in defence, and his inclusion at right-back means that Marc Cucurella reverts to his favoured left-back position while Levi Colwell moves into the centre; Axel Disasi drops to the bench.
Meanwhile, Mykhailo Mudryk returns in place of Armando Broka to face the club that he almost joined in January. The Ukrainian plays in a front three with Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer, and could yet operate through the middle.
Conor Gallagher captains the side in a midfield trio with Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

    Chelsea (4-3-3): 1 Sanchez; 27 Gusto, 6 Silva, 26 Colwill, 3 Cucurella; 23 Gallagher, 25 Caicedo, 8 Fernandez; 20 Palmer, 10 Mudryk, 7 Sterling
    Substitutes: 28 Petrovic, 2 Disasi, 5 Badiashile, 11 Madueke, 15 Jackson, 16 Ugochukwu, 24 James, 29 Maatsen, 36 Washington

    Tide turning between rivals
Chelsea have enjoyed much of the 21st century when it comes to matches against Arsenal, but that hasn’t been the case in recent season.
The Blues have lost five of the last six Premier League meetings with the Gunners – as many defeats as they had endured in the previous 25 games against them.
The recent run of defeats include the last three meetings at Stamford Bridge, and another today would mean a new Premier League record.
The last side to win four consecutive league visits to Chelsea were Watford between 1981 and 1986.
    Gunners favourites for capital clash
Chelsea’s upturn in form hasn’t been impressive enough to stop the bookmakers from chalking unbeaten Arsenal up as favourites for this Londond derby at Stamford Bridge. In fact, a home victory is the outside bet of the three possible outcomes.

    Chelsea win 11/5
    Draw 21/10
    Arsenal win 13/10

Odds from Paddy Power correct at the time of post publication.
    Good afternoon from Stamford Bridge
Welcome to live SunSport coverage of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Arsenal.
It’s the first instance of North London taking on West London in the top-flight this weekend, but ahead of Tottenham’s home match with Fulham on Monday, this is a chance for Arsenal to regain top spot.
The unbeaten Gunners will move back to the summit with a win, but face a Blues outfit recently rejuvenated by Mauricio Pochettino.
The Stamford Bridge have won their last two matches on their travels and now need to translate that goalscoring, winning football to games on home soil.
However, Mikel Arteta’s men are one of the sternest tests in English football right now, and could yet be boosted by the return of Bukayo Saka.
It’s a 5.30pm kick-off in the capital, and team news will be with us very shortly. More

LIVERPOOL have beaten Everton 2-0 in a heated Merseyside derby at Anfield. The Toffees played the majority of the game with 10 men after Ashley Young was sent off for two cynical fouls on Luis Diaz in the first half.
The Reds took the lead after Mo Salah scored a stunning penalty before the Egyptian claimed his second of the afternoon late on to seal the win for the Reds.

    That’s all from Anfield
But there’s plenty more Premier League action today including live blogs of the matches between Chelsea against Arsenal, and Sheffield United against Manchester United.
    Goodbye.
    More home comforts for Mo
This lunchtime’s derby day double means that Mohamed Salah has either scored or assisted in each of his last 13 Premier League appearances for Liverpool at Anfield (14 goals and three assists).
Only Alan Shearer (separate runs of 18 and 17 games) and Thierry Henry (17 games) have ever done so in more consecutive home appearances in the competition.
    Jurgen top of the Klopps
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has now won more Premier League Merseyside derbies than any other manager.
Following today’s victory – his ninth against the Toffees – the German has overtaken Rafa Benítez, who won eight during his six years in charge at Anfield.
    Dyche dumbfounded by Konate decision
Sean Dyche was at a loss to explain how Ibrahima Konate stayed on the pitch despite cynically bringing down Beto when already on a yellow card.
The Everton boss had seen his own player Ashley Young dismissed in the first half in similar circumstances, and pointed to Jurgen Klopp’s response in immediately substituting his defender following the reprieve from the referee.
The whole stadium looked at it and thought ‘what’s going on there?’ Their manager is a fine judge quite obviously because he’s looked at it and thought ‘I better get him off’. That was the proof in itself.Sean DycheTNT Sports

    Van Dijk saluts Salah
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk paid tribute to Mo Salah after the Egyptian’s two goals settled this afternoon’s Merseyside derby.
In particular, the Dutch centre-back has been impressed by his teammate’s ability to keep his cool when faced with pressure penalties in big games.
It’s what great players do. He missed a couple of penalties at the end of last season, but he continues to step up and deliver like he does, and that’s what we need. It’s what big players do and I’m very pleased for him.Virgil van DijkTNT Sports

    Match stats from Anfield
The good news for Everton is that they won the tackling.

Full time – Liverpool 2-0 Everton
Merseyside is red once again this afternoon.
Two late goals from Mohamed Salah – one from the penalty spot – settle the first derby of the season as the ten-men of Everton are seen off at Anfield.
Everton will feel aggrieved, if not for Ashley Young’s first half red card for two bookable offences, then because Ibrahima Konate failed to go the same way when committing similar offences in the second period.
And then to make matters worse, the Toffees resistance was broken by VAR, who overruled Craig Pawson’s on-field decision to award a penalty against Michael Keane for handball that ultimately broke the visitors’ resistance.

    Liverpool 2-0 Everton
90+8. And now, finally, Anfield awakes.
The home fans are singing the name of matchwinner Mo Salah.
    Liverpool 2-0 Everton
90+7. On the counter, Liverpool seal the three points in the season’s first Merseyside derby.
One last, desperate Everton attack breaks down on the edge of the home side’s penalty area, and then the Reds go to work.
Harvey Elliott steers the ball out to Darwin Nunez in space, and the substitute sets off on a driving run.
Drawing the last defender, the Uruguayan then plays in Mo Salah, who cooly pulls another left-footer beyond Jordan Pickford.

    Game over!

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
90+3. The visitors win a corner in front of their own fans, who believe this may just be their chance.
Jordan Pickford wants to go up for the set-piece, but Sean Dyches ignore hims.
Instead, Everton pack the penalty area with giant defenders, not least Branthwaite, who occupies both Alisson and Van Dijk.
Eventually, Garner whips over the delivery…
…but it evades everyone and travels through to safety.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    90. Everton aren’t done just yet.
They have nine minutes of stoppage time to rescue what would be an unlikely point.
    They couldn’t, could they?
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    89. Sensational shot from Elliott!
And an even better save from Pickford!
The Liverpool substitute manages to dig out a fierce drive from 30 yards that looks destined for the net until the Everton goalkeeper responds with a flying tip on to the crossbar and over.
    Breathtaking stuff!
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    87. And straight down the other end, Brathwaite almost adds insult to injury by heading past his own goalkeeper.
Instead, the defender can breathe a huge sigh of relief that his effort to cut out Nunez’s cross flew the wrong – or right – side of Pickford’s post.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    86. Danjuma tries to conjure something special on a rare Everton attack.
The Dutchman is stopped in his tracks, and the travelling fans at the end of Anfield believe he was done so illegally.
However, Craig Pawson infuriates them further by waving away their appeals for a free-kick.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    84. Despite their lead, there’s still not much noise being made inside Anfield.
Maybe the home fans are saving their voices for local bragging rights in the coming days.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    82. The hosts go close to doubling their lead.
Diogo Jota meets a corner from the left with a flashing header, but it’s straight at Pickford.
Liverpool 1-0 Everton – Liverpool substitution
    80. Liverpool respond in kind by introducing Joe Gomez.
Luis Diaz makes way after his involvement in the game’s key incidents.
Liverpool 1-0 Everton – Everton substitution
    79. It’s time for Sean’s last roll of the Dyche.
Amadou Onana has done well this afternoon, but the Toffees now opt for the more attacking Arnaut Danjuma.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    77. On the bench, Everton officials feel aggrieved, still bemoaning the decision not to send off Ibrahima Konate.
Assistant Ian Woan follows his manager Sean Dyche into the book by saying too much to the fourth official.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    75. The deadlock is broken in the Merseyside derby!
There was no doubt about the penalty decision, and there was no doubt about Mohamed Salah’s execution as he stepped up to the spot.
Left-footed, the Egyptian slams his penalty into the right corner with confidence, leaving Jordan Pickford rooted to his spot.
Perhaps it was the only way Liverpool were going to find a way through Everton this afternoon.

    Salah scores!

Liverpool 0-0 Everton – Penalty to Liverpool!
    74. Sure enough, Craig Pawson returns to the field and awards a spotkick to Liverpool.
A huge chance. A huge moment.

    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    72. But surely this will be a penalty!
Diaz gets down the left and whips in a cross that clatter’s Michael Keane’s outstretched arm.
Craig Pawson says no, but VAR quickly indicate that the referee should review his decision pitchside.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    70. Not for the first time this afternoon, the fans on the Kop are demanding a penalty.
This time it’s when Diaz goes down under Patterson’s sliding challenge.
It’s perhaps not the best decision from the Scot to go to ground, but the Colombian made the most of it by throwing himself to the floor.
    No spotkick. More
