Real Madrid saving up for £270m Kylian Mbappe transfer by flogging James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez

REAL MADRID reportedly hope to sell James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez in order to launch a £270million move for Kylian Mbappe next year.
For months it has been claimed that 2021 is the year Los Blancos will make their move for the 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker when he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

However, they know the World Cup-winning striker will still cost a huge sum to bring to the Bernabeu.
According to Deportes Cuatro that could be as high as £270m including both his fee and wages – and the LaLiga champions are already starting to save up for it.
Due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, Madrid president Florentino Perez has already confirmed no major arrivals will be heading to the Spanish capital this summer.
However, the 13-time European kings are already putting their plan in place to try and pinch every penny during the crisis in an effort to be able to afford Mbappe.

They are trying to make it their priority in the next window to get high earners who hardly feature under Zinedine Zidane out of the club.

And Bale and Rodriguez have been identified as key sales in order to be able to accommodate Mbappe.
But the Galacticos may find it hard to shift either from the wage bill.
It was reported last month that 30-year-old ex-Tottenham ace Bale’s relationship with Zidane is at “breaking point” and “worse than ever”.

But despite the player repeatedly being overlooked by Zizou, his agent Jonathan Barnett has insisted he is happy in Madrid and intends to see out the final two years of his contract at the Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez has struggled for regular action since returning for a two-season loan spell at Bayern Munich and has been linked with a switch to the Premier League.
But Rodriguez could stay at Real beyond the summer, adding perceived differences with Zidane are pure speculation.

Gareth Bale looks uncomfortable during Real Madrid title celebrations after Zinedine Zidane leaves him on the bench for title decider versus Villarreal
And he dropped a subtle transfer hint despite denying having any issues with Zidane recently.
The Colombian, 28, said: “There never was any problem [with Zidane].
“Every manager has a different taste. We have a normal working relationship.
“In the future, you never know what’s going to happen, but if they let me choose, I would pick a club where I could show my abilities and my conditions.”

Tottenham and Arsenal have also both been linked with winger Lucas Vazquez.
Whether Perez can pull off the mass exodus and cost-cutting over the next few weeks remains to be seen.
But the chief seems determined to get his man Mbappe next year in an attempt to make Madrid the continent’s most dominant force again. More

LaLiga’s youngest ever player Luka Romero ‘annoyed’ by Lionel Messi comparisons as he ‘wants to make a name’ for himself

LUKA ROMERO has vowed to shrug off the ‘next Lionel Messi’ tag and become a star in his own right – after growing “annoyed” by being likened to the Barcelona star.
At the tender age of 15, the attacking midfielder became the youngest player to ever appear in LaLiga last month when substituted on in Mallorca’s defeat to Real Madrid.

    2

Lionel Messi made his Barcelona debut aged 16 and four months
The moment alerted the world to a potentially huge talent – and elevated him to the status of being a future Messi.
Many starlets have been likened to the Argentine legend and yet none have fully lived up to that tag.
And Romero certainly has no interest in being compared to Messi.
The teenager told Fox Sports, as quoted by Marca: “It annoys me that they compare me to Messi because there is only one Messi.

“And I want to make a name for myself in football, as Luka Romero.”
Dubbed the ‘Mexican Messi’, Romero left the North American nation aged three and is also qualified to play for Spain and Argentina.
So far, La Albiceleste appear to have the youngster bagged having already called him up to their youth sides.
He added: “I was born in Mexico but my family is from Argentina. I have all three nationalities [including Spanish].

“If they still like me in Argentina, I will continue playing for Argentina, if possible.
“I like to play attacking midfield. Here in Mallorca we play with attacking midfielders. And, if not, on the right wing.
“I have improved a lot since I got here, I have improved my right foot a lot, I didn’t use that before.”
With his first senior outing in the bag, Mallorca’s relegation to the Segunda Division could be a blessing for Romero as he searches for more first-team experience. More

Furious Barcelona star Arthur ‘refusing to play for club and wants contract terminated’ after Juventus transfer

FURIOUS Barcelona star Arthur is refusing to return to the club ahead of their resumed Champions League campaign next month.
The Brazilian has already signed for Juventus ahead of next season – although remains a Barca player until September.

    3

The Brazilian’s absence has been making headlines in Spain
But such is his anger at being “forced out” of the club by Quique Setien, that he is determined to never pull on the blue and red of Barcelona ever again.
Sport report that Arthur did not want to leave Camp Nou, before sealing his upcoming £65million switch to Juve last month.
And the 23-year-old’s mood was not helped by the fact that he remained on the sidelines for the final six games of the LaLiga season, following his move.
He was even spotted appearing to fall asleep in the stands as he remained an unused substitute against Osasuna.

Having been given a week off after the final league fixture, Barcelona players were due to report to training for coronavirus testing yesterday.
But Arthur did not turn up.
It has emerged that the 20-cap international holidayed in Ibiza, before returning to Brazil – with no intentions of coming back to Barcelona.
Arthur will face disciplinary action from the club, but any goodwill between the two parties ahead of his transfer appears to have been severed entirely.

His likely absence will leave Setien short as he seeks to restore order at Camp Nou.
To reach the Champions League’s last eight tournament in Lisbon, Barcelona must first defeat Napoli at home – having drawn the first-leg 1-1 in Naples back in February.
With new recruit Miralem Pjanic still at Juventus until September, Setien will have Frenkie de Jong and Sergi Roberto to pick either side of Sergio Busquets – with youngster Riqui Puig his only viable alternative and Arturo Vidal suspended. More

Barcelona rocked as Arthur ‘leaves training without consent’ and flies to Brazil ‘with no intention of coming back’

ARTHUR MELO has refused to turn up for Barcelona training after agreeing a move to Juventus.
Sport claims the midfielder, 23, has returned to Brazil following the end of LaLiga.

And Arthur has told Barcelona he will not return for their upcoming Champions League campaign after agreeing to join Juventus in a deal worth £70million last month.
It’s said that Arthur did not appear for Barca training and scheduled coronavirus tests on Monday, sparking concern from coaches.
After going on holiday to Ibiza after the end of LaLiga a week ago, it transpired Arthur had then taken a secret trip to his homeland without permission.

    2

When confronted, the soon-to-be-Juve playmaker spoke with club officials over the phone and told them he would not be returning for the Champions League campaign.

Barcelona were said to be infuriated and told Arthur he was in breach of his contract.
But with a move to Juventus already completed, Arthur apparently has no fear of potential penalties and he will now remain AWOL until September when his Turin switch becomes official.
It means Barcelona will have to do without Arthur for their Champions League last-16 second-leg tie against Napoli.

The Spaniards have already landed a replacement in Juve’s Miralem Pjanic.

But he will be playing when the Serie A champs try to fight back against Lyon in August.
And Barca are confused as to why Arthur has decided to up sticks when Pjanic remains committed to his current side.

Man City aim to complete long-term Vincent Kompany replacement with transfer of Sevilla defender Diego Carlos

MANCHESTER CITY are reportedly hoping to sign Diego Carlos and view the defender as a long-term replacement for Vincent Kompany.
The Etihad club failed to bring in a new centre-back a year ago despite losing influential captain Kompany.

And Pep Guardiola was made to pay for his lack of movement in the transfer window.
Aymeric Laporte missed large chunks of the campaign through injury while John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi struggled for form, meaning Fernandinho often filled in to the back line.
But according to The Telegraph, City want to land Carlos from Sevilla.
They view the 27-year-old as the ideal candidate to fill the void left behind by Kompany – he is quick, athletic, strong and a presence in both boxes.

He would be cheaper than another target, £75million-rated Kalidou Koulibaly, while relations are tense between City and Napoli following the breakdown of the Jorginho transfer in 2018.
Brazilian journeyman Carlos – who has also been linked with Real Madrid and Liverpool – signed for Sevilla last year following a three-year stint with Nantes, where he was kicked by a referee in an incredible incident.
He made 35 LaLiga appearances, scoring two goals, and helped the club finish the season with a 15-match unbeaten run which saw them secure Champions League football.

Bournemouth’s relegation should knock a fair sum off their asking price for Nathan Ake, another City target.

Jan Vertonghen, meanwhile, could offer a cheap, short-term alternative to provide cover for Laporte and at left-back following his departure from Spurs.
David Alaba would be a dream signing for Guardiola but the versatile Austrian is more likely to head to Spain rather than England should he leave Bayern Munich.

Juventus star Danilo hits out at Fifa for claiming Cristiano Ronaldo is only player to win Serie A, Prem and LaLiga

JUVENTUS defender Danilo hit out at Fifa after they claimed Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to win LaLiga, the Premier League and Serie A.
The Old Lady wrapped up their ninth league title on the bounce with a 2-0 win over Sampdoria on Sunday.

Maurizio Sarri led the celebrations inside the changing room with a cigarette and champagne as he became the oldest manager to win Serie A.
Even Ronaldo missing out on the golden boot – not helped by missing a penalty – could put a dampener on the wild antics after full-time.
But Ronaldo’s Juve team-mate Danilo was left puzzled as Fifa overlooked his achievements while congratulating the Portugal hero.
Fifa tweeted: “10 goals in 10 games since the resumption of @SerieA_ENhas helped @Cristiano become a multiple-time league champion in England, Spain & Italy.

“No other player has even won all 3 leagues once. The country doesn’t matter when you’re from another planet.”
Ronaldo won three Premier League titles with Manchester United in 2007, 2008 and 2009 before his world-record move to Real Madrid.
At the Bernabeu, he picked up LaLiga winners medals in 2012 and 2017 and then added back-to-back Serie A crowns in 2019 and 2020 following another massive transfer fee.

But while it is true no other player has won all multiple titles in England, Spain and Italy, Fifa’s claim that “no other player has even won all three leagues once” is wide of the mark.

And Danilo pointed it out by retweeting Fifa’s post with four thinking emojis.
The Brazilian full-back picked up two Primeira Ligas with Porto in 2012 and 2013 ahead of his switch to Real Madrid, where he won LaLiga alongside Ronaldo in 2017.
He then secured successive Premier Leagues under Pep Guardiola with Manchester City in 2018 and 2019.
And his switch to Juventus last summer – in a swap deal with Joao Cancelo – means he added the Serie A crown to his list and secured four league crowns in the last four years.
Fans on Twitter were loving his cheeky tweet – while others claimed Kingsley Coman’s achievement is far better.

The French winger has not played in England or Spain but has won NINE league titles in the last EIGHT years – and is still only 24.
He landed the Ligue 1 titles in 2013 and 2014, Serie A with Juventus in 2015 and 2016 – although he only played one match before joining Bayern Munich on loan.
Coman wrapped up the Bundesliga in that same season and then again the following year on loan before a further three titles since making the switch permanent.

The footballer’s wife confirmed she was expecting in January on the Spanish TV show she stars in.
Her revelation, which was made live on prime time TV, followed speculation another child was on the way.

Real Madrid plan massive 17-player exodus this summer including Bale, James, Ceballos and Odegaard transfers

REAL MADRID are reportedly prepared to allow up to 17-players to leave the club this summer either on loan or permanent deals.
Spanish outlet Marca claim the likes of Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Luka Jovic are all expected to be on the chopping board.

Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and James Rodriguez’s Real Madrid futures are all in doubt this summer
SunSport previously reported that Madrid need to cover a £182MILLION shortfall following the coronavirus pandemic.
To avoid a financial black hole, Los Blancos are said to be keen on their players taking pay cuts.
Yet the majority of their money will be recouped from shifting the deadwood this summer.
Top priority for Real will be getting Gareth Bale’s £650,000-a-week wages off their books.

The Welshman’s agent has already insisted that the former Tottenham star will not be going anywhere this summer.
But reports in Spain claimed that Madrid will ‘aggressively push’ Bale, 31, and James Rodriguez out of the club.

    Real Madrid’s 17 at risk

Marca have run the rule over the players not in Real Madrid’s plans for next season

    Gareth BALE – Transfer
    James RODRIGUEZ – Transfer
    Luka MODRIC – Transfer
    Lucas VAZQUEZ – Transfer
    Dani CEBALLOS – Transfer
    Jesus VALLEJO – Transfer
    Luka JOVIC – Transfer
    Nacho Fernandez – Transfer
    MARIANO – Transfer
Alvaro ODRIOZOLA – Transfer or Loan
    Martin ODEGAARD – Loan
    Takefusa KUBO – Loan
    Sergio REGUILON – Loan
    Borja MAYORA – Transfer
    Oscar Rodriguez – Transfer
    Alberto SORO – Transfer
    Jorge DE FRUTOS – Transfer

New Monaco boss Niko Kovac has also offered his former player Luka Jovic an escape from his Bernabeu hell.
The former Bayern Munich manager is said to be keen on a reunion with the striker in France, with a loan the most likely option at this stage.

Meanwhile, Arsenal chief Mikel Arteta has confirmed talks are ongoing with Real – who want a permanent deal – over Dani Ceballos’ future.
Reports have claimed the midfielder will personally ask Madrid president Florentino Perez to extend his loan deal at the Gunners.
Fellow midfielder Martin Odegaard will remain with loan side Real Sociedad for another year in order to ensure regular first-team football.
The 21-year-old is viewed as the long-term replacement for Croatian ace Luka Modric in the Madrid midfield.
Marca claim that Sergio Reguilon, who spent this season on loan at Sevilla, is available for another temporary stint away from the Bernabeu.
Arsenal and Tottenham could be going head-to-head for his signature but the 23-year-old seems keen on staying in Spain.
Alvaro Odriozola has been granted permission to seek either a loan or permanent move away just two years after his £35m switch from Real Sociedad.
Madrid are hopeful of netting around £20m for out-of-favour Lucas Vazquez amid interest from Spurs.
The 28-year-old has struggled for form and fitness this season, and currently finds himself out with a calf injury.
Vazquez has also been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal in the past, and recently revealed that the Premier League would suit his “personality”.

Inter Milan target Luka Modric, 34, has long been rumoured to be nearing an exit and is approaching the final year of his contract.
DC United also rumoured to be keen on the Croatian Ballon d’Or winner.
Madrid misfits Nacho Fernandez, Oscar Rodriguez and Mariano Diaz are three more available to seek £10m moves away.
Likewise Jesus Vallejo but the defender who flopped at Wolves and has since been shunted to Granada will return a slighty smaller fee.

Los Blanocs starlet Takefusa Kubo, nicknamed “the Japanese Messi”, can leave on another loan after a successful stint at Mallorca.
There had also been high hopes for the likes of Borja Mayoral, Alberto Soro and Jorge de Frutos.
The trio are spending the season away from the club but look unlikely to break into the first-team set-up.
