Man Utd and Real Madrid dealt transfer blow with Eduardo Camavinga revealing he will stay at Rennes this season

RENNES starlet Eduardo Camavinga will NOT move to Manchester United or Real Madrid this summer.
The French midfielder, still just 17, has stated that he wants to remain with the Ligue 1 club for at least another year.

LaLiga giants Real were thought to be the frontrunner for Camavinga after months of speculation.
However, amid reports that the player wants a 2021 switch to Madrid, he has committed his future to the team that gave him a debut at a mere four months after his 16th birthday – a club record.
Camavinga revealed on Telefoot: “I have two years of contract left, I will be with Rennes this season.
“[The speculation] doesn’t bother me at all.

“It’s football. There are true things and there are false things.”
Despite being rated at £25million by some of Europe’s top clubs, Camavinga is intent on a normal life.

He continued: “I live normally but I try not to be too careful, I let my parents handle it all.
“I live my teenage life, I go out, I go to school.”

Rennes are likely to face a plethora of offers for the teenager next summer, particularly with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also said to be keen on his services.
United could come back in with fresh interest as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to maintain the youthful energy of his squad.
Rennes chief Olivier Letang has admitted that Camavinga’s desires will be a major factor in how the Brittany club deal with his future.
The club president previously said: “If it were up to me I would like to keep him for another 10 years.
“There are requests, there is a market, there are also the player’s wishes.”

Lionel Messi ‘furious’ over Barcelona leaks as details of Ronald Koeman talks were released

LIONEL MESSI has reportedly been left fuming with Barcelona after his meeting with new boss Ronald Koeman was leaked to the press.
The 33-year-old has been linked with a sensational switch away from Spain this summer with his contract to expire in 2021.

Immediately after the Blaugrana lost 8-2 to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Messi is claimed to have told the club he wanted to leave.
Following Quique Setien’s dismissal at the Nou Camp, Ronald Koeman was appointed on a two-year deal, with Messi cutting short his holiday to meet the Dutchman.
It was reported by Catalan radio station RAC1 that the six-time Ballon d’Or winner told Koeman that he is seriously considering his future at Barca.
And Argentinian news outlet Clarin have now stated that Messi has been left ‘furious’ that news of the meeting has been made public.

They claim that Messi has been left angry by the fact that the source of the leak – RAC1 – regularly backs president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
It has been said that Messi believes Barcelona have fed this information to the radio station in order to paint him as the bad guy who is looking to jump off a sinking ship.
Koeman spoke about the situation with Messi earlier in the week, as he said: “He’s still got a contract and is still a Barcelona player.
“At this point I need to speak to him because he is the captain.

    3

Man City are the favourites to sign Messi this summer
“We need to work with him and speak with various players. We need to make some decisions but in Messi’s case I hope he stays with us.
“I don’t know if I have to convince Messi [to stay], whether it’s that or not. He is the best player in the world and the best player in the world you want in your team, you don’t want him playing against you.
“As a coach I would love to work with Messi because he wins matches. If he’s at the ability and level he has always shown I’d be more than happy for him to stay.”

Barcelona rage at Rakitic for celebrating Sevilla’s Europa win by jumping into pool live on TV so soon after Bayern loss

BARCELONA were reportedly left fuming after Ivan Rakitic celebrated Sevilla’s Europa League triumph live on TV.
The Croatian spent three seasons with the Andalusian club, winning the same competition once, before signing for Barcelona in 2014.

    2

The Barcelona midfielder leapt into his pool to celebrate
And Sevilla’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Inter Milan on Friday night sent the midfielder into a frenzy.
When interviewed live on TV from his home, a beaming Rakitic celebrated by jumping into his swimming pool.
The soaking star gave a thumbs up and laughed as a round of applause from the studio greeted his escapade.
However there were no friendly claps from the Camp Nou, where club bosses were far from pleased to see the length of their player’s celebrations.

Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona were furious with Rakitic’s response to a fellow LaLiga side’s success.
A congratulatory tweet would have been perfectly acceptable, it is said, but the reaction was certainly not deemed fitting amid the Catalans’ own woe.
    TOO SOON?
Just a week earlier, Barcelona had been dumped out of the Champions League after an 8-2 rout at the hands of Bayern Munich.
Alarm bells have been continually ringing around the club since then with coach Quique Setien and sporting director Eric Abidal leaving their roles, amid fears over Lionel Messi’s desire to stick around.

Rakitic did not play in the Lisbon thrashing having lost his place as a guaranteed starter under Setien.
With just a year left on his contract, the 32-year-old is potentially heading for a move with Sevilla reportedly an option.

A report from Sport earlier in the month suggested Julen Lopetegui’s side were “waiting for a sign” from Rakitic – which certainly appears to have now arrived.
Barcelona are said to be open to a sale with this their last chance to cash in on the four-time LaLiga winner.
Yet, alternative moves touted to Italy or Arsenal are described as potentially more lucrative for the club, leading to a potential stand-off if his desired move to Sevilla becomes a serious option.

Furious Luis Suarez orders Barcelona board to tell him if he is up for transfer as Ajax plot £13.5m bid for striker

FURIOUS Luis Suarez has demanded the Barcelona board tell him if he is up for sale or not as transfer talk hots up.
The forward, 33, remains in the dark about his future at the Nou Camp.

Following the 8-2 hammering by Bayern Munich and immediate shake-up with Quique Setien and Eric Abidal sacked, the majority of the squad are in the shop window.
But in an interview with El Pais, Suarez blasted the club for their lack of communication and insists he does not know where he stands.
He said: “There is talk of some names that the president gave, of changes that can be made, but nobody told me that they want to do without me.
“If this is the desire of the club, it would be good if the person in charge who chooses speaks directly to me.

“Better so than filter if I am one of those who want them to leave. It remains to be seen.
“I also want the best for the club and my idea today is to continue, but if the club decides that I am expendable, I have no problem talking to those who decide.”
Ronald Koeman replaced Setien this week and has been charged with managing the overhaul and then steadying the Barca ship.
Suarez is thought to be one of the players the club are willing to sell with only seven not on the market, including Lionel Messi, whose own future is in serious doubt.

Ajax are monitoring the Suarez situation as they consider a move for their former forward while reports suggested they have already offered £13.5million.
Juventus may also be tempted to make a move, especially with Andrea Pirlo potentially losing Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala.
Suarez, who refused to single out blame for the 8-2 humiliation, admitted he would even be willing to take on a reduced role next season – but just needs to be communicated to regarding what the club want.
He added: “Koeman? I haven’t talked to him yet.

I would accept a substitute role. If the coach thinks I have to start from the bench, I have no problem.
    Luis Suarez

“As long as they count on me, I want to continue contributing as much as I can.
“I would accept a substitute role, as I accepted it throughout my career.
“The competition is always good and if the coach thinks I have to start from the bench, I have no problem helping the team with the role they give me. I can still contribute a lot to this club.”

Barcelona board ‘debate Lionel Messi transfer’ with some in favour of selling frustrated superstar

LIONEL MESSI’S future has split Barcelona’s board, with some reportedly ready to offload the frustrated icon to fund a squad revamp.
The one-club frontman is said to have told new boss Ronald Koeman in showdown talks he is more inclined to leave than stay.

And ESPN claim the 33-year-old’s uncertainty has sparked a huge debate at board level.
They say some board members admitted to them they are prepared to sell the Argentina maestro.
If he does leave, Manchester City have been rated Messi’s likeliest destination, followed by Inter Milan.
His rumbling discontent with Barca bigwigs peaked after last week’s 8-2 Champions League humbling by Bayern Munich.

He earlier fell out with ex-Nou Camp Sporting Director Eric Abidal and criticised the board over over wage negotiations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But having surrendered the LaLiga title to resurgent Real Madrid, Barcelona’s more intense humiliation against Bayern focused Messi’s discontent.
Fellow 30-something legends like Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets are among the big names now facing summer exits.

And with just one year left on Messi’s contract, ESPN even say Barca chiefs are “relaxed” about the uncertainty over his future.

Juventus’ Argentina striker Paulo Dybala has been touted as Barcelona’s potential top choice if Messi departs.
But reports in Italy suggest Manchester clubs United and City are also monitoring the situation as the 26-year-old continues contract talks with the Italian champions.

Leeds chasing transfer for Valencia striker Rodrigo as Bielsa aims to increase striker options

LEEDS are interested in signing Valencia striker Rodrigo, according to reports.
Marcelo Bielsa is hoping to bolster his striking options ahead of the Whites’ return to the Premier League.

Doubts persist over Patrick Bamford despite his 16 goals last season, while Jean-Kevin Augustin’s loan spell from RB Leipzig proved a disastrous one.
And according to DiMarzio, Leeds could be strengthened by the signing of a current Spanish international.
Bielsa’s men are believed to be chasing Rodrigo from crisis club Valencia.
The 29-year-old has been a star man for the LaLiga side, but given their dire financial troubles, has been placed up for sale alongside every member of the squad barring Jose Gaya.

Valencia failed to pay their players this month, and have already sold on key men Dani Parejo, Ferran Torres and Francis Coquelin for a combined £32.8m.
President Anil Murthy also failed to show up to a team meeting on Monday, which was arranged to share the financial predicament with the players – causing further frustration among the ranks.
Rodrigo has earned 22 caps for his country, scoring eight goals – and he has been included in Luis Enrique’s latest squad.
Since signing for Valencia, initially in 2014 on loan, Rodrigo has banged in 59 goals in 220 games – including 19 in the 2017-18 season.

He also has Premier League experience, having played at Owen Coyle’s Bolton Wanderers on loan from Real Madrid a decade ago.
Whites fans would hope for a better output from the more experienced Rodrigo, however, as he only managed one goal in 21 appearances for the Trotters.
Should he sign, he could make his Leeds debut at Anfield, with yesterday’s fixture release revealing Liverpool away to be the Whites’ first top-flight game in 16 years.

Yaya Toure says Messi’s Man City transfer is ‘possible’ but ‘few managers would love him’ because he doesn’t track back

YAYA TOURE believes Lionel Messi’s transfer to Manchester City is possible – but sensationally claims most clubs wouldn’t want him.
The Ivorian said “few managers would love him” because he does not track back, which would pose a problem in the Premier League.

    3

Messi continues to be linked with a stunning move away from Barcelona as a result of the chaos both on and off the pitch at the Nou Camp.
He held crisis talks with new manager Ronald Koeman on Thursday, cutting his holiday short for the personal chat.
And according to RAC1 he dropped the bombshell that he sees his future away from Barcelona, the club he joined aged 13 and for whom he has scored 634 goals.
That has led to suggestions of a reunion with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

And speaking to Hotels.com Dream Screen about his former team-mate’s future, City legend Toure said: “It is going to be complicated.
“From what I know, Messi loves Barcelona. He loves the city, he loves the club, he loves the philosophy there.
“But if he had to leave the club, maybe he could come to City. Why? Because City have the money to buy him and there are only a few clubs in the Premier League who can afford him, to be honest.
“If he comes to City he is going to be good for City because the rest of the Premier League is quite intense and hard as well.”

Toure played 316 times for Manchester City, winning six major trophies including three Premier League titles in his eight seasons.
He knows exactly what it takes to be a success in England and is worried Messi’s lack of willingness to defend could be a sticking point.
The 101-cap international added: “The way Messi plays – few managers are going to love him because he just sits off to the side and does not want to defend much.
“In England – depending on who is going to criticise him for that – they want you to work, defend and attack and it is not easy.
“But if he came to England, I could see him playing for City because Guardiola knows him better and he could put him in this City team too to play his football.
“I have a little bit of doubt that he is going to leave Barcelona, to be honest. Barcelona all boils down to Messi. If Messi leaves there is going to be a massive gap.”

As well as City, Inter Milan are very keen on landing Messi and will turn their attention to trying to land him after the Europa League final.
The Argentine icon’s dad, Jorge, has even splashed out on a luxury pad in an exclusive region in Milan, further suggesting a move for his son could be imminent.
And their former president Massimo Moratti reckons Suning Holdings, Inter’s current owners, have “everything it takes” in their power to prise Messi away from the Nou Camp.

Inter Milan plot Lionel Messi transfer after Europa League final following Barcelona legend’s crisis talks with Koeman

INTER MILAN are plotting to launch a sensational Lionel Messi transfer after the Europa League final, according to reports.
The Serie A giants take on Sevilla in the Europa showpiece in Cologne tonight.

    2

But after the match is done, La Gazzetta dello Sport reckon their attention will turn to their transfer window and landing Messi.
The Barcelona great, 33, could be on course to leave his boyhood club after a series of disagreements and fallouts with the board.
He held crisis talks with new manager Ronald Koeman on Thursday, cutting his holiday short for the personal chat.
And according to RAC1 he dropped the bombshell that he sees his future away from Barcelona, the club he joined aged 13 and for whom he has scored 634 goals.

Even though Barca president Josep Bartomeu said on Tuesday that he will be staying put, Messi is thought to be giving serious consideration to leaving.
He has one year left on his current contract and reportedly added that he sees himself more “out of the club than in it”.
And despite links surrounding a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Inter are the favourites should Messi leave.

Barcelona are very interested in signing Lautaro Martinez so there is the outside possibility of a swap deal of some kind being agreed, although a clause in his Nou Camp contract could see him quit for free.
