Brutal Ronald Koeman ‘tells Luis Suarez he doesn’t want him at Barcelona’ amid Ajax and Juventus transfer interest

LUIS SUAREZ has been told he is no longer wanted at Barcelona by new boss Ronald Koeman, according to reports.
The Dutchman reportedly called the ex-Liverpool striker today to let him know the news.

    1

Luis Suarez has been told he is not wanted at Barcelona by Ronald Koeman
Suarez, 33, has been linked with a £13.5million move back to his old club Ajax.
And he could also link up with Cristiano Ronaldo with Juventus reportedly monitoring the situation.
Barca put him on the transfer list as part of a major overhaul after their Champions League humiliation.

And Koeman spoke to him on the phone to confirm the news, according to Spanish journalist Alfredo Martinez.

He tweeted: “Koeman called Luis Suárez today and told him that he does not want him.
“He has a contract for one more season. They will have to negotiate their termination.
“If they do not replace him well by another scorer, it can be a VERY risky decision.”
Following Barca’s 8-2 Champions League hammering by Bayern Munich and immediate shake-up with Quique Setien and Eric Abidal sacked, the majority of the squad are in the shop window.

But in an interview with El Pais, Suarez blasted the club for their lack of communication and insists he does not know where he stands.
He said: “There is talk of some names that the president gave, of changes that can be made, but nobody told me that they want to do without me.

“If this is the desire of the club, it would be good if the person in charge who chooses speaks directly to me.
“Better that than filter down the news if I am one of those who they want to leave. It remains to be seen.
“I also want the best for the club and my idea today is to continue, but if the club decides that I am expendable, I have no problem talking to those who decide.”

Koeman recently told a Dutch radio host he would sell Suarez if it made the DJ happy.
Ex-Arsenal star Marc Overmars is also said to be working hard to bring Suarez back to Ajax.
And David Beckham’s Inter Miami have also been linked.

Wolves target transfer for Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos as fears rise over losing Adama Traore

WOLVES could move for Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos if they lose Adama Traore this summer, according to reports.
The Argentine winger is fresh off a successful Europa League campaign with the Spanish side and scored the goal that knocked Nuno Espirito Santo’s side out of the competition in the quarter-finals.

    1

Wolves could move for Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos if Adama Traore leaves the club
Sky Sports claim Wolves have identified Ocampos as the man to replace rumoured Liverpool and Manchester City target Traore.
Ocampos still has four years left on his contract at Sevilla, having only joined the club last summer, but his deal contains a £62million release clause.
However, it is understood Sevilla would accept a bid of around £40million for the 26-year-old given the economic impact of the coronavirus crisis.
Even at that reduced fee, Wolves are unlikely to consider paying that much for any player unless they sell first.

And Nuno has been told by club bosses they may have to sell £70million-rated Traore in order to raise funds, according to the Mirror.
Nuno is hoping to reinforce his small squad in the transfer window after 59 games across all competitions last season.

Speaking after their defeat to Sevilla, Nuno said: “We need players that can make us stronger, no doubt about it.”
Ocampos was voted La Liga’s best new signing in a poll run by Spanish newspaper Marca and also made it into the outlet’s La Liga team of the season.

His goal against Wolves was his 17th of the season in all competitions and his performances have attracted interest from a number of top clubs.

Fellow Argentina frontman Dybala was strongly linked with Manchester United and Tottenham last summer, with a possible move to Old Trafford or neighbours City also mentioned in the current transfer window.
The 26-year-old is reportedly demanding Juve almost double his weekly pay to £260,000 –  rivalling Cristiano Ronaldo, Matthijs de Ligt and Gonzalo Higuain.
And Barcelona are said to have made Dybala their No1 target if Messi’s unhappiness ends his 17-year stint at the Nou Camp – with PSG and Manchester City tipped to be his main suitors.

The one-club icon broke off from his holiday for frank talks with new Barca boss Ronald Koeman last week.

Radio station RAC1 then reported Messi as telling the Dutchman he was “more outside the club than inside”.
And it has since been suggested the all-time great attacker was even more annoyed afterwards when such details about the private conversation went public.

Fellow 30-something superstars like Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets are among other Barca stalwarts facing summer exits following ther 8-2 Champions League quarter-final humbling by Bayern Munich.
And ESPN claim Nou Camp chiefs are “relaxed” about Messi’s future, despite his contract having just one year left.

But unless Dybala’s contract talks falter, he would be difficult to recruit as he confirmed himself as Ronaldo’s leading strike-partner last term with 17 goals and eight assists from 37 starts.

But former Barca ace Ronaldo cannot see that happening with Nou Camp chiefs set to insist his £631million release clause is paid in full.
The 43-year-old owns the Catalans’ LaLiga rivals Real Valladolid.
And speaking to a webinar hosted by Santander, he said: “It’s very unlikely that he’ll be able to leave Barcelona at the moment, especially when there’s a crisis of results.

“Messi is a reference for the team and, if I were Barcelona, I wouldn’t let him leave in any situation.

“He has a great and strong relationship with the club and I don’t think he’ll stop being in love with the team.”
Barca were thumped 8-2 in the Champions League quarter-final by Bayern Munich just days after losing the LaLiga title to bitter rivals Real Madrid.
Quique Setien was swiftly sacked and was replaced by Ronald Koeman on a two-year deal.
Messi cut short his holiday to meet with the Dutchman but he is said to fuming the resulting private conversation was leaked to the press.

It was reported by Catalan radio station RAC1 the six-time Ballon d’Or winner told Koeman he is seriously considering his future at Barca.
And Argentinian news outlet Clarin stated Messi was “furious” contents of the meeting were made public.
They claim Messi has been left angry by the fact the source of the leak – RAC1 – regularly backs president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
It has been said Messi believes Barcelona have fed this information to the radio station in order to paint him as the bad guy who is looking to jump off a sinking ship.
Koeman spoke about the situation with Messi and said: “He’s still got a contract and is still a Barcelona player.

“At this point I need to speak to him because he is the captain.
“We need to work with him and speak with various players. We need to make some decisions but in Messi’s case I hope he stays with us.
“I don’t know if I have to convince Messi [to stay], whether it’s that or not.

“He is the best player in the world and the best player in the world you want in your team, you don’t want him playing against you.
“As a coach I would love to work with Messi because he wins matches.

Barcelona hold talks with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp over manager job, claims Camp Nou presidential candidate Farre

BARCELONA have already begun a shock swoop for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, says club presidential candidate Jordi Farre.
Next year, the Catalans will elect a new chief with incumbent Josep Maria Bartomeu’s two-term limit meaning a fresh face is set to take charge.

One man who has thrown his hat in the ring is 2015 candidate Farre, who is already making big plans for the Camp Nou dugout.
Ronald Koeman was only installed last week off the back of Quique Setien’s 8-2 drubbing at the hands of Bayern Munich.
And when asked whether he would stick with the Dutchman, Farre told Sport: “If Koeman works and does well, I would, of course.
“Obviously, we have our roadmap and we had already had several conversations with Jurgen Klopp, because it seems to us that Barcelona needs such a coach.”

In fact, Klopp has announced his plans to leave Anfield.
However Farre may not fancy waiting until 2024, which was recently named by the German as his preferred date to leave the club.

And, even then, Klopp has stated his desire to take a year off and return to Germany once he bids farewell to the Premier League champions.
Farre is set to go up against former Barcelona president Joan Laporta and Catalan businessmen Victor Font and Lluis Fernandez Ala in next year’s elections – as well as a likely Bartomeu continuity candidate.

The coach’s hotseat is a big topic of conversation with Xavi eyed by Font and Laporta talking up a return for Pep Guardiola.
One thing most men agree on is the Blaugrana’s recent neglect of their famed La Masia youth academy, in favour of almost £1BILLION worth of signings.
When asked what needs to change, Farre stated: “A lot, because things have been done very badly.
“Nobody was able to see that a generational change in the squad was needed.

They have destroyed La Masia. It is no longer the focal point it was before.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman says he doesn’t know if he has to convince Messi to stay
“On the contrary, players have been kept without a logical sporting criteria.
“What should have been done little by little must now be done suddenly and in a more traumatic way. But that’s not the worst.
“They have destroyed La Masia. It is no longer the focal point it was before.
“We have practically no players from the academy in the reserve team. Every player is a signing.” More

Barcelona to demand £631m release clause for Lionel Messi if furious star hands in transfer request amid Koeman row

BARCELONA’S board will demand clubs pay Lionel Messi’s £631million release clause should he hand in a transfer request, according to reports.
The Argentine’s future remains in serious doubt after a torrid season on and off the pitch for the Nou Camp side.

But with one year left to run on his contract and Barcelona determined to keep their star man, it may not be easy for Messi to get out even if he wants to.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Barca board will simply turn around and tell Messi, 33, a club would need to match his mammoth release clause to sign him – otherwise he is not for sale.
And that is pretty much impossible with no club likely to stump up more than three times the world-record transfer fee Paris Saint-Germain paid Barcelona for Neymar in 2017.
However, if a deal could be reached between the player and the club that would see Barca accept an affordable price, PSG could be in line to make a move and reunite Messi with Neymar.

Manchester City – with Pep Guardiola in charge – and Inter Milan are also thought to be monitoring the situation, with the Italians weighing up an approach.
Immediately after the Blaugrana lost 8-2 to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Messi is claimed to have told the club he wanted to leave.
Following Quique Setien’s dismissal at the Nou Camp, Ronald Koeman was appointed on a two-year deal, with Messi cutting short his holiday to meet the Dutchman.
It was reported by Catalan radio station RAC1 that the six-time Ballon d’Or winner told Koeman that he is seriously considering his future at Barca.

And Argentinian news outlet Clarin have now stated that Messi has been left ‘furious’ that news of the meeting has been made public.
Koeman spoke about the situation with Messi earlier in the week, as he said: “He’s still got a contract and is still a Barcelona player. At this point I need to speak to him because he is the captain.

“We need to work with him and speak with various players. We need to make some decisions but in Messi’s case I hope he stays with us.
“I don’t know if I have to convince Messi [to stay], whether it’s that or not. He is the best player in the world and the best player in the world you want in your team, you don’t want him playing against you.
“As a coach I would love to work with Messi because he wins matches. If he’s at the ability and level he has always shown I’d be more than happy for him to stay.”

Man Utd and Real Madrid dealt transfer blow with Eduardo Camavinga revealing he will stay at Rennes this season

RENNES starlet Eduardo Camavinga will NOT move to Manchester United or Real Madrid this summer.
The French midfielder, still just 17, has stated that he wants to remain with the Ligue 1 club for at least another year.

LaLiga giants Real were thought to be the frontrunner for Camavinga after months of speculation.
However, amid reports that the player wants a 2021 switch to Madrid, he has committed his future to the team that gave him a debut at a mere four months after his 16th birthday – a club record.
Camavinga revealed on Telefoot: “I have two years of contract left, I will be with Rennes this season.
“[The speculation] doesn’t bother me at all.

“It’s football. There are true things and there are false things.”
Despite being rated at £25million by some of Europe’s top clubs, Camavinga is intent on a normal life.

He continued: “I live normally but I try not to be too careful, I let my parents handle it all.
“I live my teenage life, I go out, I go to school.”

Rennes are likely to face a plethora of offers for the teenager next summer, particularly with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also said to be keen on his services.
United could come back in with fresh interest as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to maintain the youthful energy of his squad.
Rennes chief Olivier Letang has admitted that Camavinga’s desires will be a major factor in how the Brittany club deal with his future.
The club president previously said: “If it were up to me I would like to keep him for another 10 years.
“There are requests, there is a market, there are also the player’s wishes.”
