For players over the age of 30, Madrid will only offer them a one year contract extension.
But AS claim that Zinedine Zidane’s side are prepared to bend the rules for club legend Ramos.
Madrid will reportedly offer the Spaniard a TWO year deal to keep him at the club until 2023.
Ramos, who is free to speak to other clubs in January, has made it clear that a longer deal is what he wants.

Los Blancos boss Zidane has insisted the club want Ramos to play for them ‘forever’.
He said: “As always, he is our captain, our leader.
“We want him here forever, it is what he is doing, showing that he always wants to.
“I have no doubt that he will stay and that it will continue to make history.”

The defender has been with the club since 2005 and has scored more goals for them than Zidane, Kaka and David Beckham.
He registered his 100th club goal during the 3-2 Champions League win over Inter Milan.
Ramos has scored 55 headers, 21 penalties, two free-kicks and 22 goals using his feet from open play for the La Liga giants.
He is only the 21st player in the history of the Spanish club to reach the 100 goal milestone.
With a total of 126 career goals under his belt, he is the SIXTH highest scoring defender in history.
He has made over 650 appearances for Real, won five LaLiga titles and lifted the Champions League four times.

Villarreal vs Maccabi Tel Aviv delayed as Europa League clash is hit by TORRENTIAL downpour

With the game due to kick off at 9pm local time, a mega downpour hit the east coast of Spain.
Referee Nikola Dabanovic hastily delayed the start as grounds staff furiously swept away the water.
Amazing pictures of the storm were released by the home team’s social media crew, showing cardboard cutouts of fans getting soaked.
One cheeky tweet from visitors Maccabi showed the waterlogged turf being hammered by the rain – with the caption, ‘Getting better’.

Villarreal confirmed that a whopping 60 litres of water fell per square metre in just 45 minutes.
Amazingly, the skies over the Mediterranean cleared quickly and the game was able to kick off in perfectly reasonable conditions.

Officials met with delegates from both teams and the players were able to take part in a quick warm-up.
When the referee blew his whistle, it was 10.10pm local time – the latest Uefa allow Europa League game to kick-off.

And Villarreal unleashed their pent-up energy in amazing fashion with a fourth-minute opener by Carlos Bacca.
The Colombian added a second after half-time, before Alex Baena and Fer Nino struck in a 4-0 win.

Barcelona boss Koeman faces four-game ban after being charged for VAR blast after loss to Real Madrid

BARCELONA boss Ronald Koeman could be facing a four-match ban after being charge by the Spanish Football Federation.
The Dutchman has landed himself in hot water following his comments about VAR following his side’s defeat to Real Madrid last month.

During the El Clasico, the referee awarded the Galacticos a penalty after checking VAR for a foul by Clement Lenglet on Sergio Ramos.
He claimed the shirt pull was one that regularly occurs in a match and hit out at the technology’s lack of consistency in VAR’s application.
Koeman blasted: “I would like someone to explain to me how VAR works in Spain.
“So far this season it has only intervened against Barcelona, never in our favour.

“It did the same against Getafe and Sevilla, for plays against us.”
But his comments could see him banned for four games, although he may escape punishment as they were not aimed at a specific decision or directly towards the referee.
Former Barcelona director Xavi Vilajoana has also been charged for his comments about referees.
He did attempt to backtrack from them by taking them back on social media but the disciplinary committee still decided to launch action.

Vilajoana insulted the referee and called his performance ‘a scandal’ after their loss to their bitter rivals.
Barcelona are next in action at home to Real Betis on Saturday in La Liga.
They then travel to Atletico Madrid later this month after the two-week international break.

Man City and Liverpool among FOUR clubs fighting for Alaba but Bayern star ‘wants Barcelona or Real Madrid transfer’

MANCHESTER CITY and Liverpool are among the four clubs fighting it out for David Alaba’s signature, according to reports.
It is thought the Bayern Munich man does not want to go to any of them – and instead is hoping to join Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Alaba, 28, is into the final year of his current deal at the Allianz Arena and is not close to agreeing an extension.
That would see the defender become a free agent come the end of the season, with pre-contract negotiations able to be sorted as early as January.
According to AS, City, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus all view Alaba as a primary target.
Sport Bild, however, report Alaba would rather go to one of the LaLiga giants – with Los Blancos considering a swoop due to the lack of a transfer fee.

Confident at left-back or centre-back, where he has spent most of his time under Hansi Flick, Alaba would be the ideal signing for Pep Guardiola – his ex-boss at Bayern.
Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho’s injuries highlighted Jurgen Klopp’s need for quality defensive reinforcement.
For Juventus and PSG, they will be hoping to add more Champions League-winning experience to translate their domestic dominance into conquering Europe.
Alaba joined Bayern’s youth set-up in 2008 and has won 18 major honours with the Bavarians as he closes in on 400 first-team appearances.

That includes nine Bundesliga crowns and two Champions League triumphs.
However, manager Hansi Flick confirmed contract talks have stalled – while former club president Uli Hoeness slammed the Austrian’s agent, stating: “It’s all about money.”
Alaba responded angrily to Flick’s public comments and claimed he only discovered Bayern had withdrawn their final offer when it came out in the news.
Alaba said: “I cannot say how it will continue from this point. I am glad to be playing for Bayern and to be a part of the team.
“But what the future will look like after yesterday evening I just cannot say, as no one has talked to me officially.
“I can completely understand the fans (being hurt). I wish internal stuff would stay internal.
“The numbers out there do not correspond to reality and I am a bit disappointed and sad that the club never officially came out to say they are wrong.
“I have not made any thoughts about my future because Bayern was always the first point of contact. I had no contact with other clubs for that reason.”

Barcelona ‘considering transfer swoop for Tottenham ace Ndombele’ but struggling LaLiga giants will wait for the summer

BARCELONA are reportedly plotting a summer transfer bid for Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Reports emerged earlier this year that the Catalans were interested in the Frenchman.

The midfielder endured a tough start to life at Tottenham but is improving under Jose MourinhoCredit: AFP or licensors

Jose Mourinho largely ignored Ndombele last season but recent weeks have seen the £54million signing begin to make his mark at Tottenham.
Ahead of Thursday’s trip to Ludogorets, he has featured 10 times and scored twice – matching his goal tally from the 2019-20 campaign.
But Ndombele could be given the chance to leave North London, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
It is claimed that Barcelona were keen on the player in the summer and are considering a fresh move at the end of this season.

A midfielder is said to be high on the Catalans’ agenda after a bid for Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum fell through.
However, massive financial problems are taking a toll on the Camp Nou club.

A second round of player wage cuts is being discussed with major targets, such as Memphis Depay or Lautaro Martinez, missed out on in the summer.
Lionel Messi’s contract situation remains unchanged too, while on the pitch Barcelona have suffered their worst LaLiga start in 18 years.

Ndombele was touted for a swift exit after only a year at the club but is now becoming a first-team regular under Mourinho.
The 23-year-old recently talked up his relationship with the Spurs boss, admitting that last season was a far from ideal start.
He told Tottenham’s in-house media: “I’ve got a good relationship with the coach – we speak together, we laugh together.

It’s true that the last season was difficult – to change leagues like that, it isn’t easy.
    Tanguy Ndombele

“The more difficult moments last season have been left behind us. We’re now both trying our hardest to help the team.
“I find myself working harder in training and in the matches.
“But above all I think I’ve just settled in better. It’s true that the last season was difficult – to change leagues like that, it isn’t easy.
“But now I feel like I’m really settling in better and I really hope that I’m on the right track for the future.”

The defender registered his 100th club goal during the 3-2 Champions League win over Inter Milan.

He has scored 55 headers, 21 penalties, two free-kicks and 22 goals using his feet from open play for the La Liga giants.
The 34-year-old’s 100th strike for the club moves him even further up the list of Madrid’s highest-ever goalscorers.
Ramos has scored more for them than Zidane (49), Kaka (29), David Beckham (20) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (64).
Luis Figo (56), James Rodriguez (37), Angel Di Maria, (36), Robinho (35) and current team-mate Isco (51) are also below him.

And the huge milestone leaves him just four goals behind Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario and five behind Gareth Bale.
He is only the 21st player in the history of the Spanish club to reach the 100 goal milestone.
But he’s got a VERY long way to go until he catches Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of the pile, who netted 450 times for Madrid.
Ramos has now racked up a whopping total of 126 goals during his career from defence.

Here’s how Sergio Ramos to the highest scoring defenders of all time
He has scored 23 times for Spain – making him the top scoring defender in international history.
And the Spaniard scored three goals for Sevilla before he made the move to Madrid in 2005.
With 126 goals under his belt, he is the SIXTH highest scoring defender in history.
Graham Alexander, Laurent Blanc, Fernando Hierro, Daniel Passarella and Ronald Koeman are the only defenders to have hit the target more times than him.
But he has held the title of the highest scoring defender in LaLiga history since June.
And Ramos has insisted he will not be taking his foot off the gas after his 100th goal.
He said: “It was not bad. Individual records are secondary, but you like hitting them.
“As long as they keep on helping the side win then hopefully I can get a few more.”

After the win over Inter Milan, Zidane played down claims that Ramos will leave Madrid for Juventus.
